Maurice is a joke that the DBD twitter account will run into the ground, like Dwelf taking over every December.
Observer we'll likely find out during Level 4 of the Archives.
-
It would make the game far closer to being P2W and further harm the new player experience by pressuring them into purchasing BP to do better quicker.
-
the game is (rightfully) punishing artist players /hj

This cab also work but it would have to be suble them because even the doctors static effect around the edge of his screen makes me not focus on the surivor even if its for just a small sec.
Maybe like some sort of semi transparent effect. So it's not blocking your screen?
I'm gonna be honest I meant like a tiny icon in the bottom right near the perks

Huh really? do you have any ideas to make it less distracting then?
You know how a lot of people are able to tune out the background noise and just focus on the perk icon? Just give a little indicator. Make it visual-based, not sound-based, which then also helps accessibility for hard-of-hearing people too.

I've been promoted...currently Lead Community Manager (outreach) across our digital games.
And yes, the comment I made is specifically to the grab detection zone of the survivor - I was very careful not to say hitboxes etc as to not confuse the issue :)
Omg congrats on your promotion! So happy for you!

Although it's a bit random to ask a forum user all of a sudden, but do you actually know if there are specific dates for hotfixes? For example, the chapters are always on Tuesdays. Is it the same with Hotfixes?
Nope, no clue. From previous patterns we used to be able to guess, but recently the first hotfix has moved to Wednesdays not Tuesdays (it used to be that every update would be on a Tuesday). So ig that's the pattern recently: update Tuesday, hotfix after 8 days, hotfix 2 after 6/7 days
Rifts always start on a Wednesday, same with challenges, based on previous patterns.
Events always start on a Thursday, based on previous patterns.
Of course these are all subject to change though

When I use Kindred and get left on hook till second stage then no, sorry, I'm moving to a new game where my teammates have braincells.

They actually answered me🤨
"I'd assume it's in an upcoming hotfix" is not a set in stone date lmfao so my comment of them hating committing to dates isn't wrong
-
Not enough, I've been focusing on getting everyone to P3 and Ada to P9
I haven't made much progress either, mostly because I cba to play
-
Honestly? I'd quit.
I cannot deal with background noise. It messes up any and all focus I have and makes me play like garbage. I've learned DBD without Whispers so that perk is essentially background noise now and I cannot play with it, ever. It's the exact same reason I couldn't deal with old Discordance - the constant noise notifications would massively stress me out and make me actively play worse because I couldn't focus on the trial.
I don't want to spend another 1.5k hours to relearn dbd because of something like this. If we're adding it, it can't be more noise in the background.

Yes I'm aware, just asking if it's going to be in the next bug fixes (which usually comes pretty soon after the release) or in a mid chapter where they revisit balance a bit more.
Good luck getting thay reply then, they hate committing to dates unless something is ready in their eyes
-
They plan on adjusting his survivor collision (not object collision) in an upcoming update to a value between the 20 of current live and the 40 of the PTB, as per Mandy, lead community coordinator for DBD at BHVR

Imagine being annoyed that someone uses the anti-camp perk to help with you camping ("then reassurance because i camped it") so you proceed to camp harder. What a gosh diddly danging concept.

As far as I know, yes. As per every dev communication they are meant to, and if they don't that's a bug
-
I keep repeating these perks in hopes BHVR will finally add it.
Catch Me If You Can
After stunning or blinding the killer by any means, or performing a rushed action, Catch Me If You Can activates.
For the next 3 seconds, all scratch marks and pools of blood will appear in the opposite direction as to where you move, relative to the stun location.
Reduce survivor grunts of pain by 100% during this time.
Catch Me If You Can has a cooldown of 80/70/60 seconds.
A Revenge Party
A party that ends with somebody's head on a spike.
After a survivor stuns or blinds you by any means, reveal their aura for 6 seconds.
A Revenge Party has a cooldown of 60/50/40 seconds.

in the mornings my queue as survivor is insta and as killer, 30-45s.
So it therefore makes sense that the instant queues get incentives since that's where the lacking players are.

But thats the thing: maybe they would sell tripple the cosmetics if they were priced 8 bucks? But no musing will solve this for you, someone gotta try it.
We don't know. It depends entirely on if the demand is elastic or inelastic- how much would demand change relative to a change in price? If it's elastic, then demand would go up substantially and more revenue, but if it's inelastic then it wouldn't change that much and so revenue plummets.
Without access to all of their financial models and cost-revenue charts, we will never know. But it clearly seems to be working out alright

Wait you hate re5?
Without mods, yes. Can't fix the camera angle or FOV so motion sickness happens and I can't play for more than 25 minutes, story is dogwater, and it isn't survival horror. Give me RE2make, RE7, or RE8 any day over RE5.

Pretty much this. I do wish the legendary skins got prestige versions as well though.
If we got prestige legendaries for reaching P6 with the related character, and the character portraits swapped with the legendary ones, they'd actually be a lot more worth it
-
Eh not really but also when it's Sheva Alomar or Claire Redfield my wallet will make exceptions
-
A coincidence. Anonymous mode gives the name, them actively doing things in the game is why you never see crows, and them DCing is why they DC.
-
Old. Absolutely.
New DH doesn't work with Endurance and can't be used for distance.
-
Yeah the animation is bugged and it's trippy as hell the first time round
-
Give me a couple years to get out of full time education and get a stable income so I'm able to afford back the money I spent on this game and then sure I'd press it.
-
Oh god I wish
My only question is are you 100% certain it was 2 DS? It could've been any other save the second time round, and I'm asking because people have mistook everything for a DS. Without a video to judge I can't say for certain.
But if you're certain she used DS twice, yes that's cheating.

The bonus is based off MMR, time of day and region.
The question is, how?
If you have high killer/low survivor or vice-versa, and both are in need of players, how does it determine where to apply the bonus? Why not both at once?
Individual killers have different MMR. How does it know to apply the bonus to killers? My Pyramid MMR is through the roof, my Huntress MMR is through the floor, and yet a killer bonus applies to both of them. How?
Time of day and region are the 2 I can see really affected it. I don't logistically see how MMR can impact this current implementation.

If you're right next to the survivor, you can treat it like a shoulder flick and get guaranteed hits since the hitbox is so large when next to Pyramid Head, I play on high DPI and I can consistently do flicks in excess of 90 degree's.
@Heliosse said:

Same, with high sens you can even do 180 with ease
Oh, apologies- flicking without stooping as low as following in the footsteps of a Blight requires low framerate to do consistently.

Also thanks for correcting me about individual character prices. I either saw the prices when it was a discount or I remember it wrong.
I will edit my first response to not spread misinformation.
All good
-
Considering that to consistently do anything more than a 45 flick with ease you need to lock your framerate to like 20 I don't really mind.
it's not like he's as good as Blight. He doesn't have any mobility.

I’m not saying we should let Myers mori out of lockers, I was just curious what others thought of it.
and my response is that it's a terrible idea that would punish solo queue further.
no offence.

I dunno but in mk11 for example licensed characters cost a lot less and you get a lot more cosmetics for them for free (earned in game).
When I saw that I kinda realised that bhvr don't really need to charge this much but I understand how supply and demand works so...
To be honest it entirely depends on their cost model. MK11 costs £40, and each new character costs £5. Dbd costs £15 when not on sale and each recent DLC costs £5.50 for 2 characters (£2.75 per character), so while you end up with more content per person in MK11 it also costs over double.
Full disclosure: prices obtained from off-sale DLC and game prices from the UK Steam Store
-
Yes let's punish solo queue further because that will go down wonderfully.
-
I'd imagine that the intiisl cost isn't as much as you're imagining- £5k could be plausible, it could not, I don't know. But it's also worth noting that every purchase related to a licence gives royalties to the related company, so the cost would rack up substantially.
-
I had so much fun as killer during that event.
The best bit was coming to the Forums mid-matches to just read.

What perks were nerfed to where you can't play them anymore? Some were even buffed. Can't say the same with killer perks, so be grateful. For example, Pop doing like 5-15% regression at best, Ruin regressing at 100% speed, being a destroyable hex, and deactivating after a survivor dies, or NOED which literally reveals its aura to the survivors.
Meanwhile Eruption, Call of Brine, Overcharge, and Lethal Pursuer all received very nice buffs.

Tested it on several Killers. Artist, Pig (When you crouch, you do lose bloodlust after some time since you are getting out of the chase), Freddy holding a snare and Billy charging and reving DONT lose bloodlust charging the power, only once you fully let go and do the actualy ability's.
Last message btw
And you still lose it upon using your power (ie placing a snare) which is the same as a Remanant teleport
