Right so I haven't seen anyone mention this yet so for people who don't use Twitter and come to the Forums for most of their DBD news:
(The original tweet: https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1569702463309074434?s=20&t=6LCIqk5V6yahYpgn--P_CA)
So yeah, really happy with this news actually, gives me something to use shards on that isn't just more bloodpoints and really helps out people who don't have as much disposable income! A great change actually BHVR.
-
I'm almost certain all facial animations are bugged because babes what is this
(yes these were stolen from my twitter feed)
-
Yeah no I think I would hate that
Not only would it be a smidge strong but also it takes away some of the zoning potential with your power, similar to PH, because you can make some insane jumps with practice and leaving pallets up can actually be beneficial in places.
-
So I can give you free practice vs Dorito man? No thanks I enjoy watching you struggle vs him slightly more than other killers 🙄

No I'd rather go perkless than use No Mither because in an actual chase you can use that on-hit speed boost to your advantage, and I'd rather be able to factor that into my routing than not.

gann how many times need I remind you to come to EU and take all of these spirits off my hands because its such a snoozefest over here

That was the original point of the meta change right? Was to make it so that people wouldn't need those perks to enjoy the game
And wbk the meta change failed overall. Succeeded at changing what perks people use (mostly) but failed at actually changing the game to a good degree.

hyperfocus cuts out a big portion of that time, not to mention you can add botany knowledge to your build to enhance that.
I could. Or I could use OTR/BT/Reassurance/COH and suddenly become a substantially bigger asset to the team, providing not only anti-camp and anti-tunnel benefits when both strategies are as prevalent as ever, but also allowing everyone to deal with hit-n-run playstyles or top themselves off without needing any investment from them with COH.
Like yeah you can dedicate 3 of your 4 perks to the combo, but I'd much rather be a greater asset to my team, especially in solo.

I guess it should be tested against lehtal for one and undying for another. Might be that it hides all araus for timed auras (lethal), but only 10 seconds for conditional auras (undying)
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3184240#Comment_3184240
Yeah I know, the behaviour changed with the new audio cue for when a token is used.
Okay then, I stand corrected. I have just tested it and can confirm that one token is used despite Lethal Pursuer's 11 seconds beating the 10 of Distortion. Moreover, constant effects like Hex: Undying will constantly consume tokens, and I assume the one-time effects like I'm All Ears, Darkness Revealed, etc. will work in a similar manner to Lethal.
Editing the original comment to avoid spreading misinformation and I apologise for being so stubborn- though I'm still not convinced this isn't a bug it at least makes it decent. I'll still stick to not using it though, because the Quad Regression:tm: meta is strong during the time of day that I play and aura reading takes a backseat to that, including Lethal, and if the killer has perks like Floods of Rage or Darkness Revealed then I'm covered by Off The Record for a surprisingly large amount of time.
Plus, like I mentioned in my original comment, I'm very confident in my ability to last longer in a chase than 99% of my solo queue teammates, so if the killer decides to chase me around when I still have every resource available on the map (I drop pallets about as rarely as I get a good solo queue mate, windows are my best friends) then it'll be a blessing for the team.

i never said it's the best, but it's a valid option nonetheless, especially if the killer relies on hit and run a lot.
Not to mention that circle of healing can be detrimental as well, as it forces you into a certain zone in the map to heal opposed to healing wherever you want with self care.
I'd much rather be in a certain zone to heal than spend over a minute trying to do so or dedicate a majority of my build to it tbh.

Except it does work for kindred?
Which is a Survivor who has been hooked not a separate entity like a trap.
Also, if you're managing to get Kindred to work from 4 different points on the map you've lost the game without a very lucky 4%, which then takes away one of your Kindred procs. So it still works from a lore and gameplay perspective

I feel they changed something when they added the new auditory notification that a token is spent. That was after 6.1, I think.
But I really feel we would have to test it out in KYF.

3 of those perks become obsolete the moment you get a non camping/tunneling killer. And Lethal Pursuer is not the only perk that shows auras. You would never know if killer was using Darkness Revealed or Floods of Rage.
BT gives 20 seconds of speed boost to survivors, hardly obsolete when it lasts longer than the 16 seconds to heal.
OTR gives 80 seconds of no aura reading + no grunts of pain. Absolutely not obsolete when they run an aura-reading perk and if you get found within the 80 seconds (massive time frame, btw) then you have old Iron Will, making losing the killer and mindgaming substantially easier.
Reassurance there's a case for, but have you ever been on a multi-floored map and used it through the floor as the survivor gets hooked? Not only does it feel great but it's a guaranteed 30 extra seconds on-hook which means they can sit there for longer as people smash out gens, which for un-coordinated solo queue is great.
Plus, when the killer does camp and tunnel all of these perks become god-sends and are the difference between winning and losing, literally.
And then COH is just bonkers.
All of this relies on the killer bringing an aura perk (instead of the ever popular Quad Regression that I see everywhere in EU atm) and also not camping and tunneling (which I see everywhere in EU atm). Distortion just doesn't provide enough value when OTR does what I really need it for- losing the killer to stop myself from being chased when I don't want to be.

Still no explanation, litterallt it says it does in game with the wording. You can't make an exception without giving an explanation.
Personally I think the devs didnt manage to make it stack and decided not to bother. The game code, as we all know, is a giant mess.
There kinda is one, actually.
Open Handed extends the aura reading ability of all Survivors. The Wiretap is a trap that is placed onto a generator, and is therefore not a Survivor, and therefore doesn't benefit from Open Handed.
As much as I think it should to give this niche perk combo some actual use, it also makes sense from both a lore perspective and a gameplay perspective (a 4man using 4x Wiretap + 1x Open Handed on a small-ish map is practically a guaranteed 80 seconds of constant wallhacks).

You forgor that you your regenerate your tokens in TR even in chase.
That's great! Alternatively I could use COH/OTR/BT/Reassurance and give not only massive value to myself but my entire team consistently instead of one perk that I bring to counter another perk that seems far more prevalent on NA than EU.

Actually you don't lose two tokens. I thought so myself, but when using it and facing a killer with lethal, I still only lost one token. Maybe it's worded poorly, and just the removed scratchmarks part has the 10 seconds. Or lethal + distortion interaction is bugged. Or I'm hallucinating ...
I used it and lost 2, so unless they bugged it or buffed it since 6.1.0 when I tried it out then I'll stick away
-
@kingcarl2012 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3184067#Comment_3184067
Or just reduce the duration of lethal pursuer by 1 second
Honestly I'm fine with either. Don't have a problem with LP at 11 seconds but also don't have an issue if it becomes 10 in case 11 seconds of no scratch marks is a bit much.
-
If they buffed Distortion to 11 seconds then I'd consider it, but the fact that I lose 2 tokens at the very start of the match means that I'd rather use perks I'm able to get far more consistent value out of. Especially since I'm actually confident in my ability to last longer than my teammates
Edit: Tested it and I stand corrected- Distortion only uses 1 token despite Lethal being 11 seconds and Distorion only 10. I still get far more value out of other perks, though, especially anti-camp, anti-tunnel, and COH ones, because in the Quad Regression:tm: meta where people facecamp with Deadlock + DMS against solos at 5 gens anti-camp and anti-tunnel provide substantially more value. Aura reading is essentially dead at the time of day I play Survivor. Plus like I mentioned above, if I get chased it's a blessing for the team rather than a curse. Shack pallet might make it longer than 10 seconds.

As much as I like making fun of sadako and hope she days as is just to get my free escape points when I verse her. Why not give her sort of an iri tape basekit, not as good but simply put, if you hit someone after manifest a random TV turn on, you deal with the cooldown and sadako can spread more condemned.
I'd argue that you should go a couple at a time. Condemned on basic attack + reduced cooldown, wait and see how it feels. If it's too weak, make Ring Drawing basekit + hitting someone turns 1 random TV on, wait and see how it feels.
And my "wait and see" refers to the 3 month window between Mid-Chapter updates, not the 3 year window we're seeing from BHVR

There are better ways of fixing solo queue that would help substantially more. Voice chat is the lazy route

"Hit 2 Survivors with a basic attack within 15 seconds of hitting a Survivor with a Lethal Blink as The Nurse", thats the exact text
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3183462#Comment_3183462
You might be right? But isn't a Lethal Blink a score event when you, well, blink at hit someone? I did it during the exit gates thing with a farm group. The game before just hitting once after a Lethal Blink didn't seem to work, now I hit 3 times ... I guess the sweet spot is 2 hits ... who would have guessed? :D
But jokes aside, thats a real asinine challenge. Ugh.
Yeah Lethal Blink is a score event. It triggers while hitting a survivor post-Blink and pre-fatigue. From there you have 15 seconds to get 2 Basic Attacks off.
But like I said if I'm reading it correctly, those 2 attacks can also be Lethal Blinks, because that's a score event not attack type. It's classed as a Basic Attack by every perk known to mankind, so I don't get why it wouldn't be for this challenge.

Lol, it doesn’t really help that the forum search bar is virtually useless.
If I can’t remember the name of this thread, and I go looking for it under “kill slugs,” it will be 3rd in the search, after a 2020 and 2021 thread.
It makes the “find it yourself” method unnecessarily tedious—especially with respect to bug reporting.
I read the patch notes as soon as I’m able, the day they are released. But for the longest time I’d need to use Google just to locate them, because finding the link to them on here is like an intermediate escape room puzzle.
Bug reporting, yes. Finding specific forum threads, yes (you're actually going to have easier luck typing "kill slugs dbd forums" into a search engine than you are here). Case and point:
But patch notes?
As I proved in a different thread, it takes a 30 second Google search with maximum 5 clicks. Alternatively, they link the full patch notes in-game to easily read. There's literally no excuse for that because it says very clearly "Click here to read the full list of changes" in the news tab that automatically opens itself on every new update.

After a lethal blink within 15s hit two survivors with basic attacks.
Oh my god no this one's really easy actually if I'm reading it right. As we know from like Starstruck (or perk that uses Basic Attacks, like Surge or Sloppy) her blink attacks are classed as Basic Attacks, not Special Attacks. It's literally just get 2 hits within 15s of blinking to someone and hitting. The reason they stipulate Basic Attacks is to allow people to use like Spasmodic Breath (is that the "become a 115 killer with no ability" add-on?) or if they mess up and you xb get a regular M1 too.
Again that's if I'm reading it right, but it should be a lot easier than you think.

because unlike those things self care won't run out of charges
Purple Medkit w/ Gel Dressing + Medical Scissors gives you 3x heals without any perk investment. If you need to heal more than 3 times in a game not counting a lot of post-unhook heals (ie assuming the killer doesn't camp and tunnel) then self-care would absolutely be far more detrimental to your team than just being injured would be, even with Botany.
Circle of Healing is literally right there and that benefits your teammates too. There's absolutely no reason to run Sc over COH

Honestly I don't think we even need to make Ring Drawing basekit. Just massively reduce TV cooldown when teleported and (and slightly reduce TV cooldown when survivors turn it off) and grant +1 Condemnation after hitting a survivor post-teleport and post-manifest. Make it a genuine threat they need to keep constant track of while rewarding the killer for constant pressure, and make it so it's not hard-countered by Medkits or Boon: Circle of Healing.

I guess it used to make sense lore-wise. Stumbling around in a blanket of darkness for so long makes a simple light source such as a flashlight overwhelming for the killer. Kind of like staying inside a dark room for a while and then opening the blinds on a sunny day. Doesn't make much sense now that the game is so bright though.
Have you ever stood outside in the day and then shone a bright light directly into your face?
Because I can promise you that unless you were literally gazing at the sun earlier that's going to leave some retina burn

My guy if you take someone letting someone go as a personal attack it's time for some deep self reflection.

Then if you do not want to report them at the end of the game, you do not want to use Anonymous mode and deal with "weird" Survivors. Then the best solution is to simply not play any online game in general!
When you play a online game, you should expect players to be unexpected weird and quite frankly, abnormal. Players can name themselves whatever they want, because they are somewhat anonymous; they can do weird, dumb, or meme stuff because they are gamers and it is a just a game, to have fun. Plus, you can simply ignore them as more likely then not, they would not annoy you if you not give them any attention. Sometimes it is fun to join them, instead of ignore them completely; it is just a online game so have fun with it.
Just... join in and have fun with them being openly racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, etc??

Why use Overcharge in this build? Only for the skillcheck?
Wraith is fine with Noed, he is weak against survivors on surv-sided maps, you will barely be able to prevent all gens from starting against actually decent survivors, so having Noed is like an insurance.
Call of Brine helps to mitigate the beginning 75% regression speed as it makes it 175%, and this then can ramp up 300%
