FNAF and Jeepers Creepers. Both related to their creators, for very different reasons.
Though there's also more reasons to it than just that.

My issue with that is how often do you run into those killers? Also if knock out is the problem just nerf or change knockout? Meanwhile load into the wrong map as a mid to low tier killer and you may have lost before you even got to play
I feel like you may have quoted the wrong person, but anyway. Maps are an entirely separate issue and are the reason I feel relatively confident saying that all killer needs in terms of basekit adjustements are regression changes. Maps are the real problem causing such a massive balance discrepancy and they need to be addressed ASAP, but this is entirely separate from basekit unbreakable, different perks, etc.

Which is funny because that was the og combo they wanted to hit right? Then just brought it back.
Yeah.
They wanted to hit DMS + PR, so they nerfed PR by removing the interrupt and the noise notification and buffed it by leaving it be (15% of 90 is bigger than 15% of 80). Then there came a funny little interaction with Merciless Storm, where it would keep the skill checks going even if the gen dropped back below 90% progress until one was missed or the gen completed. It was a harmless, fun little interaction that gave MS some extra useage when it was previously rather mediocre.
So naturally they nerfed the interaction by giving PR it's interrupt back, thus making MS once again utter useless, and instead returned the DMS/PR combo (which made every nerf previously to PR absolutely useless when used together) so they hit DMS instead, cutting it from 45s to 35s. This, of course, pushed DMS into "useless-on-everyone-except-when-used-with-PR" territory and... here we are today. PR/DMS is still incredibly strong, though arguably outclassed by OverBrine (or EruptionOverBrine if you just really hate solo queue), and the meta shakeup surrounding PR failed because you can just combine PR/DMS and OverBrine

og pain rez had loud noise notification+scream, then lost both of those iirc. we got the scream back but not the loud noise notification, which is what gives it the Dead Mans synergy I guess.
Yeah the scream gives it the synergy with DMS, because the scream forces you off of the gen and thus it gets blocked by DMS (making the removal of the loud noise notification actually meaningless because you know which gen blocked thanks to DMS).

And how many times do these changes actually result in you getting down or an additional kill? Or a gen being stopped? These changes feel good, but in reality, they do almost nothing. This was a BHVR saying "look, we care about you too killers!" after which they just started releasing survivor patches one after another.
Also, for the first time, I am seeing someone use Infectious Fright as gen defence argument. I think you meant slugging... in which case, it will be much harder to do next patch ;)
IMO, they should've added old corrupt as base kit, and then nerfed top killers. Corrupt Intervention was the healthiest killer park in the game to exist which unfortunately got nerfed hard...
Honestly quite a lot. W key got weakened substantially so my main is now much more effective.
And no, Infectious is one of, if not the, best counters to Hyperfocus in the entitle game. Generators? Not so much. But Hyperfocus specifically? Absolutely. Them screaming interrupts the gen, forcing them to get off, and thus removing all Hyperfocus tokens.
Corrupt's nerf was... Interesting. Lethal Pursuer overtook it on most killers since it was simultaneously buffed but it remains an incredibly strong perk on setup killers (a la Trapper and Hag).
Still think that all we really need right now is a touch to Medkits + COH + base gen regression to get buffed.
-
You mean like 2.5 stacks of STBFL, tier 1 Brutal Strength, and a mini PGTW on every kick?
Also you don't have to stack slowdown to win. Anything which can interrupt survivors (Infectious, for example) bricks Hyperfocus, which is the common point of complaint.
The only thing I want to see is base regression doubled to 0.5c/s instead of 0.25c/s, with Call of Brine and Overcharged adjusted to max out at 150% each (0.75c/s, and both together would be 1c/s).
-
As per their Roadmap, the end of 2022. This could be the 6.3.0 upcoming Midchapter (unlikely), the 6.4.0 content patch most likely releasing November/December, or the 6.5.0 Midchapter (most likely), which will probably release late December or January based on previous schedules.

Noooo, not like clown. Having to see the facial features your camera’s clipping through on one killer is quite enough thank you. This isn’t an Ubisoft title.
I meant the fact that Clown got a very minor visual touch up, not the bugs that come with them.
BHVR are able to make enough bugs as is
-
That's actually really interesting and pretty to look at
-
A complete rework? Absolutely not. I love current Wraith and would hate for his appearance to change. A slight tweak like we got with Trapper, Doctor, Clown, Nurse, etc. would be fine.

I cant down 4 survivors withing 45 seconds, if youre telling me adapt then you basicly say "get a pro at this game so you have a chance" and if that is the case i rather dont play at all. But the squads with their voice chat for sure can screw a killer with ease. Its not a balanced skill requirement.
The entire reason for the change is to prevent people instantly slugging everyone and winning via Finishing Mori. You're not supposed to be able to down everyone in 45 seconds
-
Honestly Kindred basekit sans the killer aura read would unironically be a healthy change and self-care basekit would be the best buff that killers can get
I don't really like their choice of perk, but somethings really could do with being basekit and their effects reworked to help accessibility and solo queue

So you just want to give survivors a thousand second chances to exploit and bully killers just to have a faster killer matchmaking? Nice.
Honestly I don't really care either way. I don't expect decent balance, I know it will either be massively tilted one way or the other and solo will forever be left in the dust, so if it's going to be massively tilted at least let it be tilted in a way that favours me.
For the record I'm against the entire change, and want them to revert it before live and not have it go through for their October/November content patch, but also I know this dev team.

maybe because they literally whined like babies about the changes without realizing that nothing is changed? i play solo survivor too and when i have an actual decent team the killer can consider himself lucky if he did 4 hooks in the entire match... mind you that i don't play with exhaustion perks, so i'm one of the few guys out there that didn't relied on dead hard in order to kept busy the killer, unlike most of the people out there it seems...
I really don't care about what's caused the queue imbalance if I'm being honest, I just want fast killer queues back because playing survivor bores the hell out of me.

Precisely. Bullying the Killer will never have been easier. Toxic survivors are a significant reason I rarely play Killer and I don't think I'm the only one.
I'd argue insta-blind, vacuum pallets, double pallets, stacking sb + balanced, insta heals, insta gens, old DH, etc. all made the killer substantially easier to bully than this change but

When this change goes live I predict that bloodpoint bonus is going to switch to killer really quick.
Except most killers don't mind playing some survivor. The majority of the survivor player base is positively allergic to playing killer.
I'm just going to go back to Hunt:Showdown until this crap blows over.
Ah yes, survivor players never play killer and that's why the bonus has been 100% on survivor for 20/24 hours in a day since 6.1.0.
I for one welcome the return of survivor players if it means I get to play my preferred role without a 16 minute queue each time.

I think you misunderstand me, I am not against getting more blood points.
If all Killer attacks can gain Brutality, why can't Carmina Mora? I don't understand why you guys have a problem with only Wesker.
I know that The Plague is the only exception and I have already mentioned it. Does it not matter that The Plague can’t get Malicious with full infection?
*Sure, Plague can get Brutality with full infection, but it doesn't count for Malicious.
You know that Wesker gets more Deviousness by using Bound. I know that and I get a lot of Brutality even when I play with Wesker. I have no problem with it.
I am not against you wanting more Brutality. But it's not a bug, it's a request for feedback.
Why do I have an issue with only Wesker?
I don't. I just don't play Artist, literally ever, because I find her gameplay to the be the most dull and uninspiring in all the killer roster, including Hag. If Artist's bloodpoint gains are a problem in Brutality because she doesn't earn them for power usage, then make a thread about them.

lol what? this is not about the slug for the 4k, it's about an incoming Unbreakable meta which makes killers like Oni or Twins unplayable because you can't use their power probably
"I understand being slugged can be boring but it’s very common when killers are trying to secure the 4k."
Solution: Do not slug for the 4k.

What do you mean downing with Victor? Wouldn't the timer start after he downs someone and switches to Charlotte? So the first 5 seconds doesn't apply? Not trying to be mean, I've just haven't seen Charlotte enough to know all her timings
The survivors are able to begin recovering the second they are downed. Therefore, the timer will start the second that Victor downs them and begins the atrocious 5 second cooldown.

Evil Incarnate requires use of Judith's Tombstone, which is entirely separate from the current Momento Mori system and is being unchanged as far as we know.

Yeah and so will unbreakable, only difference is that you don’t have to be injured. It’s lazy as hell.
So you asked what will happen to No Mither. It will provide a 75% reduction to sounds of pain, no pools of blood, and increase the self-recovery time down from 45 seconds. There is no unique benefit, but it compiles multiple other benefits together at the cost of needing to be injured all game.

I might be entirely wrong, but I can't help notice that that's singular and only referring to the basekit Mori.
To my eyes, the singular feature they are referring to is the Finishing Mori System, which encompasses the Last One Standing features (including basekit Unbreakable), finishing mori, and perk changes. I would hate to be proven wrong.
Don't do it to me, BHVR.
-
I'm getting more 1.9.2 vibes and hopefully the devs will repeat their actions from 4 years ago and change their plans very promptly.
-
There is still plenty of time for them to read the feedback and change it before it goes live.
-
No Mither also provides a boost to recovery speed.
-
You know that these changes aren't coming in 6.3.0, right?

That's right! So is The Wraith, so is The Hillbilly, so is The Huntress, so is Bubba Sawyer.
Every killer can gain Brutality when they Hit and wound survivors with their Weapons.
Wesker can also gain Brutality when he Hit and wound survivors with a Combat Knife. Unfortunately, Bound is not a weapon hit.
Plague isn't a weapon hit. Huntress' hatchets are not classed as a weapon, else they would be customisable. The same goes for Victor.
Why are you so against getting more bloodpoints?

@FeryGEN said:
This is not a bug, it's just that grabbing survivors does not give points in this category
Every other power in the game awards Brutality for injuring a survivor. Even Plague gets brutality points when a survivor is injured via full infection. Why doesn't Wesker?
I'll believe that it is or is not a bug when the report is updated to either be Acknowledged or Not A Bug. Until then, one of the reasons to make a bug report is to get official developer confirmation if something is or is not a bug.

Until you start the game with another survivor and now you have a wasted perk because the killer went for that survivor but found you instead. Having said that, LP is fine where it is.
The joys of having no scratch marks for 10 seconds is you have 10 seconds to absolutely leg it

Disclaimer: That’s currently due to Lethal Pursuer being bugged and not increasing itself to 11 seconds.
Good to know. I was almost convinced it was bugged because when I tested during 6.1.0 it didn't do that, but by 6.2.1 it did, so either it was shadowbuffed, LP was shadownerfed, or it was bugged. Either way, Distortion currently counters it wholly and completely, so if you're struggling that much then it's a viable counter (and still will be because of the ease of regaining tokens).
Thank you for clearing up exactly which part of that interaction is bugged, however.
-
ive tested it and distortion only consumes 1 token for all of lethal pursuer so... if youre having that much trouble then bring it ig

I hate that hits are entirely killer-sided, with literally zero validation, in terms of Huntress Hitboxes. Faced a Huntress with literally constant red ping yesterday and when I say it's the worst survivor experience I've ever had I genuinely mean it.
Add validation to all hits, BHVR, please. I beg. Or just make it so if you consistently have over 150ms ping that you cannot connect to that location for matchmaking, with the exception being inter-continental SWF.
-
I find the concept of someone accusing you specifically of being a survivor main genuinely hysterical (not a slight against you)
-
@Tsulan said:
This has a very simple explanation. 6.1.0 has caused a lot and i mean a LOT of survivors to rage quit/suicide on first hook. Now they got moved to a lower mmr bracked and so did their teammates. While the killer got moved to a higher mmr bracked. Thats the reason, why you encounter boosted killers. That don´t actually belong to that mmr bracked and struggle to stay there.
What does a killer that struggles do? He resorts to the most basic (or scummy) tactics. Which is camping&tunneling.
Solution for that issue? It will take time until the mmr fixes itself and everyone goes back to his own mmr bracket. Until then, we get wild matches like this.
Damn so basically mmr is the problem. Again. 😶🌫️

I really don't think the basekit BT is nearly enough to do anything about STBFL/mobility killers.
Oh it's definitely not perfect but 6.2.0 helped just a little smidgen compared to the atrocity that was no bt 6.1.0
-
No I don't think so. I'd say it's easy, but that 6.2.0 helped it a bit. The month and a half between 6.1.0 and 6.2.0 was when it was easier than ever.
Plus to tunnelers, OTR isn't even that big of a threat, because they just instantly smack the survivor post-unhook and OTR and DH have both been disabled.
