Trickster. Anything that makes him less of a bland human would be an improvement to me.

I think Trickster would be a cool choice also. I gave behavior my wallet and bought all of his outfits and got all of his prestige since I play him pretty much exclusively since release. I think it would be quite interesting to see what they would do with a blighted one for him.

Til this day I still don’t see why SWF is so hated and looked down upon. As someone who used to 4 man SWF EVERYDAY I can definitely say that it’s the best way to make sure you’re enjoying your matches. I don’t SWF anymore but I talked to someone from my OG group and I’m gonna get back into it. Solo has just been a pain. From teammates farming, killers tunneling, teammates hiding in corners, teammates lasting 8 seconds in chase, constant Stridor spirits, pyramid heads, deathslingers, it’s no wonder why people choose to SWF. I feel like people shouldn’t be complaining about 4 people who just want to talk and play the game together. What are your thoughts on SWF?

Swf to me is not really fun in my opinion. I enjoy the randomness and complete stupid things that happen in solo rounds. SWF feels very stale, and repetitive.

Agreed, I'm probably a weirdo but I love getting Insidious camped by Bubbas. It's even more entertaining when my teammates end up screwing up and throwing.

Same, people gotta stop taking the game so serious. It's funny stuff.

That's the power of Lord Bubba, the moment he spawns in the trial, he instantly lowers everyone's IQ by 50 points.

Yep, and it's absolutely incredible. Bubba makes for some of the best moments on this game lol.

  • It's the funniest thing in this game having bubba just sit in a corner staring at you while your team tries to bumrush in while he's revving his chainsaw, and they all die lol.

  • @WTBacon said:

Every killer can camp basement, it's not bubba exclusive.

But yeah Insidious needs to go.

    Insidious is meta now?

  • @Jane_Is_Mega_Thicc said:

Seriously, I am here facing these Insidious camping bubbas. There’s absolutely no counter to him as well. If your going down in that basement your gonna die, period. In my opinion, they need to rework bubba or insidious, because this is not healthy for the game.

I don't know about anybody else, but insidious bubba is really funny even when it happens to me.

The thing with solo players is that we have to deal with a lot of BS matchmaking throws at us. With good SWF teammates you can offset a lot of issues that you encounter in solo play.

But when the stars align and I get matched with other solid solo survivor players, most killers stand no chance despite our lack of communication.

Yea, it's just like the perfect storm of 4 incredibly solid solo players bunched into one match where you just get absolutely destroyed without even having a chance. I mean I never go a game without at least 6 hooks if I'm getting wrecked, but just in that rare event that happens it's usually at least a 3-4 man out. I can't even be upset about it either, because it's absolutely incredible to see it happen.

Don't you know solo survivors never work as a team.

Is survivors work as a team and play efficient it's automatically a swf.

I'm not going to lie, but if I get destroyed it's usually by a deathsquad or incredibly good solo's it's almost never just your average swf or even a good swf. It's usually the solo's for some weird reason, because I rarely go against deathsquads. It's just a perfect storm of just incredibly good solo players.

Remember what scott said how killers react when a survivor tbags? This guy legit reacted the same way lmao

I use to rage a little bit at tea bagging a bit when I first started playing, but now I'm like oh cool you are tea bagging good for you. Then they go down 5 seconds later.

Well I am working on a Trickster based video right now, so if you want to see good killer behind Trickster then I will be posting a topic on it when I finish it. It seems you like to play Trickster, but don't perform the best with him, so I think you can learn a lot off of it. I would say watch me when I stream, but Twitch kinda threw me in jail for a bit, but I'll be back to that in like 2 weeks. So if you are interested to learn quite a lot of information be sure to let me know I will gladly help.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2131594#Comment_2131594

Yeah, I also don't consider anything to be OP. Like I said earlier I play mainly survivor and I can get the dead hard argument, I don't run it though cuz I'm always exhausted on the ground or into a tree lol I just think more people should play all sides of the coin or your going to come off entitled (OP) killer is hard sometimes and that's okay, swf can get destroyed or overcome and that's okay, and solo is hell and I want to die but that's also okay lmao

Yea I play survivor quite frequently also when I just want to relax, and kind of afk in the head while listening to music. A lot of people won't play both sides though sadly, so they won't see how to counter either side. If people did play both sides more frequently I think that we wouldn't have posts complaining about one or the other as often. I'm not the best survivor in the world, but I think I'm like maybe in the top 5% in terms of skill for survivor. So whenever I play killer I can transition those skills learned from that to killer to understand what moderately good survivors will do, and it usually backfires against them. I honestly just don't think we will ever reach a stage where most players play both sides. So they'll never fully understand.

  • @VaJaybles said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2131555#Comment_2131555

I'm the same. I do run corrupt just to give me time to gain some pressure early game, but I'm also the kind of killer who is here for fun. Like if I get run for more than a minute imma leave cuz that man is about to ruin my whole game which is fun. Like ggs I'm off to get the potato now. And I get being frustrated as either survivor or killer, it happens to the best of us. But this dude, is just beyond angry 99.9% of his streams. And it's just not that deep

Yea corrupt is pretty much mandatory to perform consistently at bare minimum. If I do decide to chase someone for a bit to just force strong pallets down, then I will, but you always want to get the weakest link out of the round as fast as you possibly can, because when it hits the 3v1 stage the game usually becomes pretty trivial. A lot of killers still don't realize that either. You always want to identify the weakest person on the team, and try to get them out, because while they might not be good. They more than likely know how to hold m1 on a generator. A lot of killers overcommit to chases while not getting anything out of them. The same killers then proceed to claim x y and z need buffs, or something is overpowered and unfair. While I agree a lot of survivor perks do reward failure, I still don't think any perk is op. Object can be in a swf, but that's getting changed, and maybe dead hard can be a bit annoying but other than that there isn't much wrong. I face 4 stacks with full meta load outs pretty often, and don't have much of a problem. Most killer players still don't grasp simple concepts such as how long you should chase etc...

  • @VaJaybles said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2131530#Comment_2131530

And that's true, but these weren't good survivors. He just used myers power inefficiently, and over slugged instead of slugging and applying gen pressure. He made many mistakes on top of being overly flustered so went full potato.

He has a lot of things to learn when it comes to it. Personally for me I don't really focus on gens. It might sound crazy, but I never focus gen pressure. You usually win more efficiently if you push on focusing on ending chases as fast as possible. Most of your wins are going to come from learning to end chases in a matter of seconds. With myers you should always never go for the 4 slug though. It usually results in it backfiring. Like if you can get 1-2 slugs and then hook them kinda close together you can sit on top of that if you wish, and there is nothing the rest of the team can do. That's why I really enjoy playing Trickster though, because he can end chases in 10 seconds if you play him correctly, so I don't even have to worry about gens. If ruin stays up usually it's just a byproduct of getting quick downs you force people off gens to make them come for the saves, but when I first started playing I was willing to learn from my mistakes, and still do learn from my mistakes, and I 3-4k pretty much 99/100 games.

  • @VaJaybles said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2131500#Comment_2131500

Dude. I don't mean this to sound harsh. But youre not good, and you're still a baby. You need to watch your vods back and realize your mistakes cuz you did so much wrong in majority of your matches. You're a devotion 2 and tunneling, slugging and camping ain't the way to grow. Quit blaming everyone else like they spit on your mother and take a hard look in the mirror

Against some good swf's all you can do to win the game is actually tunnel and camp sometimes. That's how you usually beat them is to get someone out of the game as fast as possible, but against most players you don't need to do that. Even I have to do it sometimes in order to secure a win if I really want it, but the majority of the time I don't need to, because the average player isn't that good.

I beat swf consistently with Trickster, and yes I have gone against swf's with 2-4 objects on him, and still beat them even with haddonfield offerings. I have 2.1k hours in the game though, so I am more than likely better than them. Swf usually isn't that hard to beat unless it's a deathsquad, and I have gone against quite a few in my time. Mainly when MMR was on and my MMR was so high with Clown mostly all I got were deathsquads, and my que times took quite a long time. Otz is good, but he still doesn't know some mindgames that work consistently, and I think if he were to mindgame the shack better he could've won that fractured game, but he doesn't know about it. Swf's are generally pretty easy to beat though. They end up usually making a lot of mistakes that cost them the game, by being too altruistic.

I just played nurse, for about 3 weeks, and I instantly got into top %, and destroy survivors honestly every single match unless its lerys or coldwind. Nurse isn't that hard, she even takes less skills than any other killer such as pig and spirit, if you don't trust me you can try her, she needs a nerf, even as a rank 1 it is extremely sweaty to play against a purple rank nurse, she is more broken than anyone.

You know this is a unpopular opinion, but I agree nurse isn't that hard to use. I'm not that great with her, because I have like almost no time into her at all, but when I do pick her up I usually 4k with her pretty easily. I feel like other killers such as Trickster, Huntress, Clown, and few others require a lot more mechanical skill, and a lot more knowledge of tiles. While Nurse requires some mechanical skill, but just focuses more on knowing what survivors are going to do.

  • @Jane_Is_Mega_Thicc said:

I've seen countless self-care users tell me that it's not that bad of a perk. I mean your right to an extent. ya, people make the argument that "it's like a regular heal since two people are wasting 16 seconds at once" which is right but that shows that it's like not putting on a perk at all.

the thing that just hurts me the most is that there are so many perks and items that are so much better at healing you like

inner strength: ya it limited but your not going to heal your self 5 times in one game by yourself

bond: this perk is so much better and is so good in solo queue as well

medkits: yes I know your only going to get 1-2 uses out of it but it's so much more efficient.

Ok if you really devoted to such an overrated perk then try running at least running botany. I know resilience also has a heal speed increase but its so small it's almost nothing

People are too afraid to play injured. I don't know why either, but I don't mind playing injured. It's always everyone else that wants to heal me. Or people will literally follow me around begging to be healed. I still think people should get use to just playing injured, and sticking on gens, but that's just me. I still think self care is a waste of time unless paired with botany/desperate measures

Bubba isn't that hard to counter even with bamboozle. Clown is totally the opposite since he is so oppressive on every single tile in the game. The only tile I think clown struggles with is myers house and groaning storehouse main building.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2129132#Comment_2129132

The majority of survivors just don’t want to accept that they need to (or should) play stealthy against Clown.

Survivors think Clown is a joke until they go against one they can’t win chases against. They don’t heal because they want to use their Dead Hard, and then DC because the chase lasted less than 10 seconds.

This isn't wrong actually, because that's how long chases usually last when you are god tier at clown lol.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/244422/just-buff-the-sheet-out-of-the-clown

But he’s already fine. The only thing survivors can do is waste pallets quickly, only to still go down quickly.

Clown played properly means the survivors can’t get gens done fast enough to exceed the frequency of downs he’s getting.

This means Slugging is an excellent tactic with him because it wastes so much of the survivors time with how often 1 or 2 survivors are on the ground.

Yea, the very few of us who have dumped like 1k+ hours into him pretty much fully understand him enough. Usually people also underestimate the player when they see a clown, so when they see one of us they end up 99.9% of the time losing due to the fact that he is so good when played correctly that leaves not much counterplay on most maps, but then again most people who try to play Clown fail typically call him a weak killer when he is not. He is still in my opinion one of the highest skill ceiling killers in the game due to you having to know every single loop where to bottle throw at. Which angle etc... Once you have that down you become an unstoppable force. Players like us are extremely rare though.

he ended up with 15-16k by the end which means 30-32k BP while all of the people who got farmed aka me and my little sister got maybe 3-4k because she was just tunneled and i cant even blame the killer when david is literally unhooking 10 seconds after she gets hooked right in the killers face i ended up dcing to not allow david his 4th stack of wglf but i didnt pay attention enough because he only had rank 2 so he got all 3 stacks so wooh

im rank 1 on console but just moved to PC so rank 16 atm and have yet to see such an entitled Tw@t (because they broke console after the UI update where i literally cant play it dead hard goes backwards lithe pauses the game getting hit with sloppy stops time for me basically any status effects break the game on my console so sadly moved to pc but crossplay exist so i dont mind and i should post that part in bugs)

i got a lil heated because he did it 3 times and didnt learn from buddy who got hooked then hooked

then hooked within about 2 min of the game maybe less then he did it twice to me before i dc'd then luckily he got downed but guess what he didnt care he instantly killed himself off hook because he gets 30K bp so who cares right? but my lil brother did escape with 20k atleast so that was good

he didnt block at all by the way he just ran away as soon as he unhooked didnt take a single protection hit so i dont know what he's talking about there

i just dont get it i dont think wglf needs to be changed or anything but christ thats annoying again i got a lil heated wish i didnt but eh when you just keep getting ######### games like this you are bound for it to happen

I like calling the perk we're going to farm forever, because people who use it like farming people off the hook with or without bt, and hoping to god you get away as fast as you can to get the bloodpoint bonus. I still think safe unhooks should take a little bit longer to get to prevent this behavior from happening.

  • @Hoodied said:

I don’t see a single thing about trickster that is useful outside of camping someone, this dude is literally so useless

Currently I am working on a video about him that you might be interested in to see how strong his power actually is, and he can be on the level of DS/Huntress. He is a very misunderstood killer. He is a killer that excels in certain aspects. While he is just as deadly as bubba can be for camping, because he can literally down the unhooker, and the person that got rescued in a matter of seconds. He is just one of those killers that do rely a lot on being able to catch people off guard. People often make the mistake of m1'ing people, but using your power is almost a guaranteed down because of no cooldown. He does struggle slightly on some tiles though. His power is actually rather solid. Yes I have put an insane amount of time into him since release, because I wanted to make him actually work as a killer in general, and I think I've figured him out, so I'm sure you'll see a video from me here soon. He is way better than people actually give him credit for, and I can't wait to finally be able to put that he is a really bad killer to rest here soon. Just keep in mind he is kind of a one dimension killer in a way where you have to play him in such a certain way to make him incredibly strong. You can't really do much variation with him either, but the efficient way does do a lot of work. He also relies on maps too though like huntress does which is a bit of bummer, but he actually counters some of the stronger maps for survivors extremely well rather over balanced maps or killer sided maps for some weird reason. Like Coal Tower is one of his weakest maps, despite everything being compact, because tiles literally can be linked together, and that hurts him a lot, but I have gone against a few 4k+ hour swf teams with him so far, and have done quite well with him. The one actual deathsquad that I have gone against didn't destroy me, but they kind of did, It was a 6 hook game if you count them letting survivors sit on hook while they finish gens, but he is not good enough to beat an actual deathsquad. Most groups he can handle without much of a problem.

It's the combination of sloppy thanatophobia for me especially when he slugs every person. Like a lot of other things in this game, the add ons aren't op until combined with these things.

Anytime you know he is coming literally just hold shift w and just pre drop strong pallets. He literally can't do anything, but brute force bloodlust, but I imagine if you are playing solo q like I do most of the time it's hard for people to grasp the concept of actually doing just that, because people in solo que tend to turn into potatoes who somehow got into red ranks not knowing what is even happening 99% of the time. So it's kinda hard to avoid thana, but that's my personal advice and input in what I think would help you a lot, because that's his biggest weakness.

  • @Leachy_Jr said:

Like of course this is very subjective, as there is at least 1 person that mains that 1 killer nobody plays. The issue is that the only person actually playing that killer IS one person.

Unfun killers to play are heavily reflected in playrates (wow an actual statistic that means something), viability does play a big part in who gets played the most, but overall Fun trumps viability a killer can bring in pubs. It's why people main killers like clown, Legion, Michael etc despite them being low tier.

Main point: Can we adjust killers who just feel awful to play? (Please note that this is in terms of fun, not viability. It's why I haven't put trickster here as he is incredibly fun but incredibly trash)

    Mainly:

    • Hag
    • Plague

And some killers who could use some QOL:

    • Ghostface (cooldown needs a look at)
    • Billy (why does the overheat exist)
    • Twins (I personally really enjoy twins, but I know a lot of people hate playing them)
    • Pig (QOL needed on ambush, not so much traps)
    • Trapper (Built in bag when BHVR?)

There's some weird killers when it comes to fun, such as blight. He can sometimes feel the most fun killer in the game and sometimes when collision ######### you sideways he can feel like the most unfun killer.

It's very opinionated but I think most of us can agree something needs to be done to at least plague and hag.

Plague is easily the most boring killer to play as, but pig is just as dull as plague, so it's hard to really say which one is worse than the other. Plague is clunky and dependent on survivors and dedicated servers actually being good to you. Pig is just a boring m1 killer with a dash attack that doesn't even work half the time, because the survivor can just literally hold shift w away and that's enough to get away from it usually. The only thing that makes her moderately fun is tampered timer and crate of gears. Hag in my opinion is fun to play, because survivors freak out and throw the game usually every single time they play against a competent hag. I've never gotten more laughs then when I play hag, because survivors brains turn into butter.

  • @Shadow_Da_Bagel said:

So I recently faced my first forever Freddy as a survivor and my team actually wasn’t doing too bad. He kept trying to slug and we got 3 gens done. But then the cycle of slugging began to work. He got 2 people down and was rotating between the two. Because he had sloppy and swing chains, it took forever to heal and by the time we got one off the ground, he had come back to put them back down again which in turn made it impossible to do gens since he also had thanatophobia and tinkerer (although we found his ruin quite early) Eventually, one person got tired of it and decided to DC, leaving us to continue the cycle. Then another person bled out and then he slugged the last person as I began to look for hatch. He found me just as I was finishing my rotation of the map and both me and the other person died on hook right next to the hatch. So my first question is why do people play this? It seems extremely boring and repetitive for both sides and doesn’t seem to give much in return. In fact, I double pipped and got more bloodpoints than the Freddy even though I died. Secondly, is there any counter to this? I understand that Freddy is getting the slow-down add ons changed to sound add ons soon, but I wanted to see if I’m missing anything when it comes to facing this type of Freddy. The only counter I see is heal speed perks and prove thyself (which I had), but that seems like an extremely boring way to play IMO. I even had resilience but that wasn’t enough to counter swing chains and thanatophobia.

His slowdown addons weren't even bad even though they are getting changed. If people only knew how hard freddy can get bullied by just holding shift w and just pre dropping pallets. He never needed a nerf despite how I always have said he has the lowest skill ceiling in the entire game. I don't know every single time I'm in a game with Freddy I bully him so hard that the player usually just gives up. People complain about ruin and undying not as much as before, but just find the totems it doesn't take too long if he is stacking slowdown like that it's not that hard to counter pretty much anything he will bring. I don't know how people have such a hard time against him. Usually the player stacking slowdown isn't very good anyways.

I’m mostly curious from the RE fans, who actually had a million possible scenarios enter their mind, to the announcement of a RE chapter. I felt nothing...so, I’m trying to build a personal hype for myself through this topic~

Make me excited about a RE chapter please.

I want Resident evil 2 remake claire with some questionable outfits, because I know Capcom wants that money, so I'm willing to give behavior my wallet if they make claire have some high level outfits like Kate does if you catch my drift. I also want mr x to punt survivors whenever he hits them and stuns them, but we are more than likely to get nemesis. If we don't get Claire. I want Rebecca, but that's not going to happen. That's my dream Resident evil chapter.

The movement speed boost? You do realize Devour Hope gives 10% for each token and that's a hex perk. Having 30% speed on killers for 5 full seconds for doing what they are supposed to do is a bit too insane, in a lot of cases that can end a chase near instantly. That's like giving survivors 0 scratchmarks for 60 seconds instead of 10 on poised when they finish a generator.

It would be absolutely beautiful though.

This is my suggestions on a change/rework for Monstrous Shrine. Maybe not the best, maybe it's still a bad perk. But in my opinion, this is way better than the current Monstrous Shrine.

30% faster for 5 seconds is more I like it.

How many hours you got in this game? Because I only have a little over 1000, and I play both sides evenly. so You probably know how to play jungle gyms, and shack better with M1.

I have 2.1k, but I almost never m1 with trickster also keep that in mind.

Dude I usually don't, but some survivors will run to shack, or a jungle gym as soon as I get close. They know I won't follow them there at first. But at some point I have to chase them in there. And in red ranks a lot survivors do that to me at least. This dude is just so weak in jungle gyms, and shacks.

Keep gens on the side where shack isn't. Jungle gyms aren't even that hard against him. I don't have problems with jungle gym's.

Even with all your learning, at a rank one. And I'm going to assume you are a killer main. You can still only get 2 kills. I guess I'm getting put with all the rank 1 and 2 survivors.

I get 4k's easily every round with him lol, and I go against beefy 4 man swf's. Yesterday I was half falling asleep because I was awake for 36 hours, and still got 4k's with him. Just learn to play him. Or wait until I finish my guide to see how to play him properly.

Yep that is what all the high ranks do. They know all you have to do is got a shack, or jungle gym. And they can stall for minutes. It's crazy, since he is like huntress without hatches in those loops. It's only possible in red ranks to get 1 or 2 survivor out of the game if you are lucky.

Don't chase at shack then. You are literally playing him wrong. He excels in catching people off guard. That's what he's extremely good at.

  • @Trickstaaaaa said:

Anyone else in red ranks who has uses the trickster will see what I'm talking about. Especially vs rank 1s, if you use the trickster, most will loop for infinity in the shack. Unless you have 1000s of hours as a killer, in red ranks you are better of using anyone else. Because the trickster is usable in all other ranks, even purple. But as soon as I hit the red ranks after the de-ranking, I keep getting looped like there was no tomorrow by red ranks. And the trickster is basically an M1 killer in most non short loops, since you have land 16 hits and survivors in red ranks know how to avoid the hits. In the jungle gyms, and or shack, so expected to get looped for minutes. From what I have learned he is too weak vs survivors who know what they are doing.

I dunno how how I get +2 pretty much every game with him then at rank 1, but then again I've actually put a lot time into learning him unlike a lot of people who say he is bad.

I like spirit she a good killer and i will argue over her not getting nerfted. I only play both killer and surviver equally

Spirit is gg ez mode. I literally never lose with her if I do decide to play her. I like killers that have input on both sides though.

I would be really interested to read it. I haven't been able to find the right balance with him.

My current build that I have any success with is Monitor, Pop, Corrupt and BBQ.

It's gonna be a video just showcasing myself going to a bunch of maps. I did a few games already even when I was sick, but the commentary kind of sucked, because my voice is still bit a clogged up. I sent myself to the game map and both games I tried they both ended at 5 gens. 1 time for fractured ended at 4 gens, but that's like usually kind of average for me, but I kind of want to redo the rounds with a more clearer voice. So I'm going to be working on that tonight. The build I use is Corrupt, BBQ, Ruin, Shadowborn. Very very efficient build on him. I get map pressure rolling super hard on him pretty easily. He isn't the hardest killer to play, but he does take quite a bit of skill in order to get him down right. I've played way too much. Right now I'm #4 for lacerations on pc I think at like 3720 laceration full damage. So I've played him way too much the last few weeks. Not as much as the other 3 people, but I don't think they plan on making any guides at least in English, as they are in foreign countries. So I'm willing to do it, but they know how to play him extremely well too. The top guy streams sometimes on youtube.

If you can win on Trickster by sheer map pressure without three genning, make a guide or something.

I play him as an off-brand stealth killer that can occasionally get cool hits with his power

I'm actually working on a guide right now for him. I guess it's kind of a guide, and kind of not. More informative. I usually end most games at 2-5 gens left. I had to delay it for a bit, because I got ill, but I am feeling better now.

  • @gatsby said:

    Hag, Trickster, Trapper, Deathslinger etc

The campers with no real mobility that win by three genning

You are wrong though about ruin on Trickster. It's one of his best perks. I get so much value out of it on him more than any other killer. Maybe not blight and stuff though, but it's still extremely good on him.

I just think they should remove map offerings all together imo.. In a game that is mostly RNG based to have offerings that 100% bring you to a map is kind contradictory

I agree they need to go. It's not healthy for the game. Survivors are bound to bring a realm that favors them a lot of the times.

    It's just unacceptable.

Bhvr, please fix this. Disable it until it gets straightened around or something. I find it hard to believe the amount of pallets is intentional.

What's weird is that the game map is one of trickster's best maps. Pretty much every loop hittable.

1 … 7 8 9 10 11 … 19
