If you got any video proof feel free to share it. The point of the discussion is if swf is fine. But everyone knows the advantages it gives you. If you're the best killer vs the best swf survivors of course the swf team is gonna win. Thats why most killers end up slugging, staying near hook, or dropping a chase and tunneling the worst survivor to create that pressure.
While that is all true. You are more than reliant on survivor mistakes a lot of the times. Once Twitch unbans me I will give you a link if you wish to watch my matches. I'm also working on a video right now, but I don't think videos show how consistent one can be over a vod or something, but yea if you are interested let me know.

I've noticed a marked increase in sabo squads since this bug came out.
I actually refuse to play the game until the post-mid chapter hotfix now, because both sides have bugs that make the game feel unplayable if they occur. (this is partially why I stopped playing for a few months when the Clown buff came out too)
I lost one game to the breakdown bug as I didn't know someone had it until it was too late, 2 hooks on 3 people, 3 hooks on the other.
My last killer game, half the map had no hooks by the time it was down to two people, and one person recognised this so they went to the corner of the map, (they had breakdown (: ) but when trying to hook them I found hatch. I watched the person until they had 2 crows and were almost fully bled out and then went to the gen that was right in front of hatch. It had progress, and naturally the person that was doing it was there because of hatch and hiding in the locker right by it. Easy 4k, but incredibly annoying. They then acted stupid in postgame asking why the hooks didnt respawn, etc. But clearly they knew; they'd been saboing that game too. Multiple games in a row had this, so I had to stop.
Yea, you have to catch it early on to act accordingly. Thankfully I've dealt with enough squads with it to act early on in the game. Although it doesn't make for a fun game at all. I don't know why survivors wanna do it. All it does it make the killer want to play as scummy as possible.

I love the p3 head a lot. I usually don't use that exact outfit I like the epic one a lot, but I also like the green or pink one with the tie. I don't really switch bats too much, but I like using the green/one I have on a lot more than the other one's. The p1 one is also really cool. I have all of his cosmetics lol.

Some are bad some are sweaty it all depends on the swf team but is it fine? Nope there needs to be some kind of buff to solos to get into the same level are swf. Just add comms and buff killers. Theres nothing to improve with a swf team idk why people keep saying that. Theres nothing stopping them from talking on discord or console voice chat. Every game against a swf ends the same by either slugging or the team getting too altruistic or everyone having bt and ds and getting a 4 man escape if you're lucky maybe 2.
How come I don't usually have to slug or do any of that and 4k no problem against most swf teams then besides extremely high level players? People gotta look at their skill level too. If you are average at killer then of course you aren't going to have an easy time against an average team also.

Could I get a brief description of what this bug is? Haven't heard of it until now
Breakdown after someone gets unhooked or unhooks themselves instead of the hook being gone for a certain time frame as the perk states. The hook is gone forever unless it's basement hook. That's the bug right now.

Again cheating is rare so it's fine. I got you
Comm's are not cheating by the game's standards. If comm's were cheating then the dev's would be getting rid of every single person that has been streaming on comm's or anybody that has proof of someone using comm's. It's not cheating. Using tools to exploit the in game system like actual hacking is cheating. Not using voice communication.

SWF is the reason why solo survivors suffer because it's impossible to balance around swf and solo at same time. SWF is bad for both sides. That's what you're missing
Deathsquads or sweat teams are rare though bro. People can think they are going against sweat teams when it's their own skills that are lacking behind them. Why is my win rate 99/100 games? Their are people who's win rates are insanely high. Pro vengeance almost never loses games either, and a lot of other players don't also. Solo's aren't suffering. Nobody is suffering from SWF's. We don't need to balance around a non existent margin, because actual sweat squads are rare in the first place. In terms of solo's do I think Kindred should be basekit? Sure, but everything else is fine.

Cheating is rare. Let's just close eyes on it. That's your response
So what you're telling me, is that you want easy games every game? Do you not want to get better at the game? What am I missing out on here? Coms are fine. Swf is fine. If swf was cheating then it wouldn't be in the game. Coms are third party sure, but honestly like I said people rarely use coms to sweat. Sometimes hard games are good to learn new things, and how to counter it.

Check otz last streams when swf beat crap out of best killers and tell me again how it easy to deal with swf. You want to tell me if not every team doing this it's fine?
It's like telling not everyone would check opponents hand, some are just having fun
I get beat by deathsquads too buddy. It ain't just Otz. It's everybody that gets sweaty teams sometimes. How rare is it though? Pretty rare. Why complain about something that doesn't happen frequently?

@sadghost said:
swf introduces a crucial vocal communications element that was not meant for or balanced into the game.
It's like playing a game of poker and saying its ok for your friend to go stand behind your opponents hand and tell you everything they pick up.
The only difference between what's happening in dbd and the poker scenario I've just compared it with is that sort of thing is called 'cheating' and can easily be policed in poker. It cant be policed in dbd so nobody does anything about it and a culture of "it's ok to cheat if it cant be policed" develops.
I don't know how I can explain it any more simple than that.
Here let me try:
its cheating to break the rules of the game which is what audio coms through swf does.
Just because nobody can do anything about said cheating doesn't make it ok. It makes you a cheater.
The thing is, is that com's aren't that hard to deal with. Sure the game isn't balanced around com's and SWF but the thing is, is that once you become good enough as killer. The information part for the most part becomes quite useless, and plus like I've said before most teams don't even use comm's acting like a tournament team. They usually use it to talk about random stuff.

I have gotten to r3 (my highest ever) playing 100% wraith, but I just realized I am completely and utterly crippled without one specific addon (purple All Seeing, which gives you perma 12m aura reading when stealthed).
This single add-on negates any need to win mindgames (since you see the surv you want, all the time), destroys stealthers (as a wraith, I WANT to play Yamaoka Estate because it makes survs think they can stealth, which results in 3+ free hits a game), and means it is virtually impossible to lose track of someone in a chase. You can also do 6.0 m/s drivebys of buildings, lower/upper floors, etc. without going in them.
I tried a few games without it (at about r4), and I averaged about .5 kills a game (usually with only 2-3 hooks), compared to my usual ~3 kills a game. So even on the same killer, I am r3-4 with it and probably rank 11 or 12 without it.
Anyone else have a similar crutch?
Hard for me to function without Shadowborn, because I get sick without it, because the default FOV is absolutely horrible.

It's not reportable unfortunately according to what was said by Dev's/Mods. Most of the time it isn't as noticeable, but this time was a very very obvious situation, and I took action accordingly in the round. Hopefully they learn off of what happened that round, and don't do it again.

Thanks for answering. Great job for destroying them, especially as Trickster, they must feel even more embarrased because of that :p
I checked to see if they looked at end game screen with their pings, and they left pretty quickly. I don't think they were happy. I've seen a few teams, but they weren't as stacked as these guys were, and they got some gens done, but I think they were indeed embarrassed at what happened to them. I win pretty much every game as Trickster, so I don't think they were expecting an actual good Trickster too. Judging by the way they were playing at first they thought I was a baby.

How early into a match did you notice its a breakdown abuse squad and acted accordingly? Or did you already notice at the oaks? lmao
I noticed what was happening when I saw the first hook go down with all the toolboxes. I tried to push one down into the basement at first, but they had breakout so he barely got out before I hooked him. I then noticed by shack there was most of the hooks. So I pushed the team towards shack, and slugged them there. Hooked the no mither, and I picked up the guy with power struggle he got the other 2 on the ground up, and then I downed them all again. Hooked power struggle guy, and then hooked the other 2 just barely. This was on Ironworks, so it wasn't that bad.

I think facing SWF as much as I did was the reason why I got to rank 1 killer 8 days after I bought the game lol. It helped me improve like extremely quickly. I still wasn't the best, but I think it helped me learn information the best, and it still does a lot to this very day.
-
The thing is, is that I have had matches where killers in the end game would say that we were SWF when we were all solo's also. Solo's tend to be much more dangerous than SWF groups, because they literally do not care if someone dies on the hook half the time, and will pop gens regardless. The average SWF squad will swarm the hook trying to get the save, and throw the game right there. They make so many mistakes. Most of the time they aren't even using communication to their advantage either, and most of the streamers that I have played back the vod on with their swf team are just talking about random things half the time lol.

So basically..
Piercing + Ricochet
Blades + Less Laceration required
Blades + Throw Movement
Blades x2
Throw Movement x2
I've mostly been using Throw Movement x2 myself because when I'm learning/trying to master a killer I try to use only yellow and below add-ons since they are easy to obtain and gives me a better feel of their base power.
I will say tho, double movement speed feels soooo nice. Not sure the exact percent changes since int3r4ct hasn't updated the doc for the new buff changes to my knowledge but yeah it's sweet.
I didn't put them in order exactly, but it would be Piercing + ricochet, Blades + movement, Throw movement 2x, Blades + less laceration, Then Blades 2x. Blades 2x may be very strong, but I haven't tried it out enough to confirm it, but 25 extra blades is no joke, but it doesn't help get downs faster so it varies.

Before the buff, I just had a terrible time playing despite the fact I really wanted to like and do good with him. I would almost always depip. Now? I'm getting 4ks, 2 pips, merciless killer. The buffs did much more than I anticipated. It took me a while before finding the perfect perk combo on him. Since he lacks map pressure, I've equipped every perk possible to help with that.
Ruin- This is an obvious choice and would be a mistake to not run it on trickster. Yes, there's the obvious risk of being destroyed early game but when it works, it works.
Thrilling tremors- I love this perk for the information it provides and the fact it blocks gens for 16 seconds. That makes all the difference sometimes
Agitation- helps me get back into the fight faster and pressure gens more efficiently. The time wasted carrying a survivor is precious.
BBQ- This is a placeholder until Corrupt intervention appears in the bloodweb. Free extra bloodpoints and aura information is great. I've tried running STBFL but it doesn't work that well cause he's so slow and running into your obsession is a nightmare.
What builds do you run on Trickster that have granted you success in your games?
Corrupt/BBQ/Shadowborn/Ruin is his best and most reliable combination after playing around with all builds across 172+ hours on him. In my opinion the buffs didn't do a whole lot for him at least for me. I just use to do the wipe and reset method if I got slowed down a lot. The recoil doesn't feel much different.

I was playing as killer a day ago and the survivors had opened the gates, triggering the EGC before everyone was safe. I chased a Dwight into a one way corner and blocked him from leaving. While I would never do this 99% of the time, the timer had literally 20 seconds left and we were right next to the gates, and if I hit him he would have escaped due to me having no collision. I honestly wanted to see what he would do, and not surprisingly, dced. I know body blocking is technically holding the game hostage, but was it in this situation?
No, since it's in a time frame, and since the egc already started it's not bannable, as the game would end shortly.

lemme know what you guys think.
It has to be killer, but that's only because If I get coldwind or red forest as Trickster I just want to put myself on the hook instead of putting the survivors on the hook, because I just want out of the game, because I know I'm going to have to sweat instead of trying to play casually. The map designs in this game for the most part are absolutely awful, and that's where my frustration comes from.

@BenZ0 said:
There are many Killers that are at some specific maps completly screwed and that can already decide most likely your outcome of the match or some ppl dont like some maps specificly, I think with this system these problems are fixed with a very easy solution. You know from Cod for example, you get to choose from 3 maps one and the highest voted map will be picked or at a draw a new random one. Now you would say "But swf will have a advantage where all 4 survivor just communicate and vote all for one map." Well we make it that only 2 votes can be voted at max from the survivors. So imagine the survivors pick for example Haddonfield 2 votes and Rotten fields 2 votes, so the Killer can have the deciding vote of which of these maps he would rather get tortured.
Offerings would be changed to let this map appear as one of the 3 choices to comes up.
Just a random I came up while waiting for a lobby, tell me what you think and lets talk about it maybe :)
I think getting rid of map offerings, and letting the game choose the map is the most healthiest situation for the game. So neither side has an advantage of picking a realm of their choice.

I dont think I have seen a killer main lately not use agitation. That may be in response to that hook bug thing that is going around. TBH if I was a killer and thought there was a possible chance I had to travel across the map to get a hook I would use agitation as a base build too.
I'm a killer main who doesn't use agitation. Honestly I think agitation is a waste of a perk slot unless you are doing a basement build. I don't run into the breakdown squads that often though. If I do they just get to bleed out on the ground.

It's a toss up between curtain call and all kill for me. Curtain Call came with an extremely underrated killer, and one of the best survivors in terms of cosmetic design which is Kate, and All Kill came with negative reception with Trickster being called as the weakest killer, but in reality he really is a pretty decent killer with a lot more to him than people think, and an amazing survivor with one of the best character models, who I think has potential to have some incredible cosmetics. It's hard to say, but I think between those 2 at least for me.

I'm looking at Lucky Blade (yellow) and Waiting For You Watch (green). They increase the survivor's laceration meter's decay duration when out of blades. So does that mean that they'll decay quicker or slower when you're out of blades? Because to me it sounds like quicker. If that's the case, they seem like joke add-ons without the upside of more bp. Heck, Nurse has brown AND yellow joke add-ons, so it wouldn't surprise me.
It makes laceration decay slower, never run them though. His best addon combos are trick blades/cut through u single Bloody boa/Melodious murder Bloody boa/caged heart shoes Trick pouch/Bloody boa and the grey one I forgot the name already, but the one like caged heart shoes. Trick blades/cut through u single is a very very disgusting addon combo though.

In theory there could be a difference in the teams you both are facing. Apparently PC without Crossplay makes you average matches a lot sweatier. But with crossplay or ps4 only teams are really most of the time not good and a 90% winrate is possible. Time of the day is a factor, too.
Tony keeps crossplay on I believe, and yea console players on average aren't very good either. That's why my winrate is so high, but I do frequently get a lot of PC swf's only. Even if I turned off crossplay I'm sure I would do just as fine though too, but I have 2.1k hours so I'm way above a certain % tile. Early mornings are the most sweatiest, and that's when I see the more sweaty swf's come out, but still I beat them unless it's straight up a perfect storm or a deathsquad.

Except this already happened. Killers have been buffed singularly and as a whole repeatedly for two years now. So sit down, you already got all the things. OP here is 100% right that BHVR has decided to do away with solo play. Most recent example, Small Game, the perk literally no one ever even complained about is getting a hard core nerf the same update the new killer is getting a massive buff. And this is the exact formula for every update over the last 2 years.
When is Trickster getting a massive buff? Am I crazy or something? Because I'm in top 5 in the world with him so I play him a ton, and there is no new buff besides the reduced recoil, and movement speed while throwing knives lol. By the way that already happened.

if you aren't playing nurse or spirit you're getting gen rushed and the game is over in 6 minutes if you're lucky. Better hope SWF doesn't bully you and farm you for points
Tony, I play Trickster and Clown and red ranks and my win/l ratio is 99 games out of 100 lol. The games go on way longer than 6 minutes if you're good, and the only time the games last 6 minutes is if I kill them all before that time frame which happens quite frequently. All killers are viable at red ranks, because the average player at red ranks belong in green ranks lol.

Yea Tricksters are pretty rare, but there are a few of us who play him pretty religiously. Maybe one day you'll come across me. And I hate playing nurse because of all that fatigues. Her tempo is so weird - walking slow, then blink fast, then fatigue stop all that. She got blinks to reset after succsessful hit she don't need any more god damn fatigues.
I don't know how people main nurse because they are literally staring at the ground for like half the game or even more than that lol.
