So many pictures, and you got 3/4 kills in many of them.
20 of them to be exact. (I think. I quickly counted. I may have missed one or two.)
Which is like 58% ish of the games he posted. (36 games, 15 have less than 3 kills. 1 he DC'd so I ignored it.)
Kind of doesn't help his case, at all. lmao

So because your teammates were dumb, you should be punished for it? Yeah, definitely the logic of someone who only plays killer.
Am I missing something?
Is this not a team game? If your teammates mess up should it not harm the team?
🤔

I forgot I was reading about Deathslinger there for a second. It sounded like you meant "The Nurse". But ok.

Rip Killers when facing good Survivors, since they usually hit great skill checks. Everyone would just work Gens and it would probably become the "meta" that if you can't get yourself off by using the Skill checks then you are better off dead because saving you is a waste of time.
-
I dunno.
I don't really care about add-ons when I play Survivor though. I usually don't even take an item because he feels kind of mean.
-
I assumed this was about camping killers before I saw the translated post. Do gens, stop being overly altruistic.
Also "from 10 matches in 2 of them only one person escaped, the others died. Rare are the instances where all Survivors escape (either because the Killer conceded or is AFK)" LMAO.
"...the game is unpleasant, me and my friends join to have fun but instead are met with rage, furthermore the Killers who camp on hook." SWF coming in here and complaining about the game being unpleasant and how they are "met with rage". This is rich.

Because literally no one runs breakdown. It would help against killers that like to facecamp hooks and capitalize off of the survivors that struggle to save the poor soul that gets face camped.
I ran into a guy last week who ran Breakdown on Steve.
It didn't help but, hey, someone used it.

Lol to make him less frustrating or annoying would be to change his ability entirely. Getting your location screamed out no matter how you devise it is annoying. I’ve both played against him and played as him. He’s nice, he’s not great. There are plenty of killers better than him. But he’s a little better than he was before.
Agree 100%.
Though he's honestyly more frustrating to play against if you haven't faced him that much. I use to HATE going against the doctor so much that I started running Calm Spirit. I got over it eventually but I am back to him being my second least favorite Killer to go up against. I might start running Calm Spirit again but I don't seem to face him nearly as much as I use to for some reason.

Ya know, some killers tunnel and camp without that happening at all.
Not every survivor is a "toxic dick tip" like you may want to believe they are. Some literally get caught doing nothing, and get tunneled out of existence.
But yeah, damn that survivor for being in game and offending the killer with their existence.
This has happened to me numerous times. Randomly the Killer decides that I am the one they want dead, even if they had chased other Survivors before me. I usually conclude that it is one of two things: 1. I am REALLY bad in chases this makes me an easy target, and since they really want a Survivor out of the game I am the best choice or 2. They had a really bad game and want to pay back these random survivors for what those other random survivors did.
Sure, fine, whatever. It doesn't happen that often but it is frustrating when it does.
-
I'd say he is in a good spot now.
Though BHVR failed if their main objective was to make him less frustrating/annoying to play against. Because he's not.
-
I was going to agree, because I agree that the game is more balanced than most people believe it is, but then you used the "I get 4ks AlL tHe TiMe" arguement as, basically, your only standing point. And then I tossed basically your whole opinion in the trashbin.
No reason to even attempt trying to change your mind because when someone says "change my mind" it is never going to happen. And it never has. Change my mind.

i played 5 soloQ games vs: red, green, yellow, red, red killers
and sad fact is the only difference were perks, red rank killers had bamboozle to help them press W,
their playstyle was exactly the same: find and camp/come back straight to the hook to tunnel unhooked guy, (no obsession in either game) yellow rank will tell "im bad killer so i tunnel to get kills", red rank "its effective strategy" hmmm
in chase it was exactly the same (except red ranks were using bamboozle) it was funny to see red rank killer going through windows in 2 connected T/L walls xD in both cases chases ended on BL 2/3 or dedicated(server) hit
btw some red rank killers are so used to getting DSed they dont even check if there is obsession and count 60 sec on my body anyway xDDD
Rank only shows how long someone has been playing. It takes a little longer to red rank as a Killer but it doesn't actually reflect anyone's skill at the game.
-
Since, like, before Christmas?
It might be worse lately because SWF is broken, or something (? This is what I've heard anyway), but Matchmaking has been less rank based since before Christmas break.
-
This has been discussed ad nauseam.
BHVR stated DS was designed to be an anti-tunneling perk. However, it is used most in non-tunneling situations and creates unfair circumstances where the Killer is at the whim of the Survivor[s] and has no chance of actually "winning" against them.
Prime Example: While a gate is open a Survivor gets unhooked and they have DS. Killer has no way to counter this unless they took a Mori. Throw in BT and its gets even worse.

Because Matchmaking is "unlocked", meaning ranks don't really determine who you match with, and has been like this for months now?

This... is a lie. Unless by now it’s all teams of communicating 4 that’s the only way I see this happening. Solo it’s like 4 games out of 5 you’re dead. Lucky if you get hatch because I swear every killer has these locations memorized and Seems like they hook the last guy right next to it somehow every single time 😡
Sure. I mean, if you aren't that good. And if you count a death as a loss.
Honestly, if you can run a Killer for a bit and waste their time and it lets other teammates get out its a win in my book. Playing survivor is so easymode that I don't feel punished for doing anything and I barely have to try while the Killer needs to make sure not to make any mistakes or they aren't getting anything done. Survivors? Not so much.
Hell. One of the most common mistakes made by survivors, missing skill checks, is only bad because you need to sit there longer to finish the Gen. It means nothing negative for the survivor that it "signals" the Killer. Survivors can actually use it to their advantage. It means even less if the Killer is in a chase.
-
Sounds more like you might not be that great at playing survivor?
If my team isn't completely destroyed by the Killer I almost always feel like things are easygoing and its my own fault if I get killed. Or I am being to altruistic.
Ignore your teammates most of the time and you have a higher chance to survive. TEAMWORK!
-
This has been happening for months. It started before Christmas break.
There have been an endless stream of "Matchmaking broken" / "Proof matchmaking is totally balanced" / "Totally fair match up" threads since then.
BHVR explained way back in December that they know matchmaking is bad so before they went on break they "unlocked" it, or whatever, so rank didn't really determine who you get matched with. They were supposed to revert it after break, and I think they did for a little while, but that was for like a week or two if at all.
Survivor lobbies are a little quicker lately, while Killers are taking slightly longer, because people are trying out the new Killer. Its coming near the end of this though, soon it'll go back to normal.

Now, past your sarcastic sass bullshit.
Considering chases are based on YOU tunjing near him, it sounds like a bug. So you do what we always do: calm the hell down and be patient.
Besides, if chase bloodpoints are what is making you so pissy right now, maybe you should reevaluate playing the game at all. It's supposed to be fun. Not a min max of "I deserved those points, what the ######### my day is RUINED".

because they have absolutely 0 impact on a match, they don't stop anyone from doing anything, so they shouldn't be bannable.
So why bring them up? This thread is about "why isn't this bannable?" not "why isn't this toxic?"
And it is toxic. No one even said it wasn't.
The game wasn't being held hostage, though I think I read somewhere that Mori Spamming like this is bannable. Though I can't remember if BHVR is 100% hardpressed on that. Also anything done outside the game is not bannable and is out of BHVRs hands.

As if survivors choose who they are matched with. Why should they play worse just because they might have been matched with a lower skilled player?
Blame BHVR for making Killer so stressful and unfun for so many players that few actually play it cinsustently compared to survivor. Finding a match as survivor takes forever.
-
They are minds numbingly easy and if I'm not in a Chase there is little reason for me not to work on them. I do totems between gens and it still doesn't seem like I'm ever really pressed unless my team drops like flies it the killer is really really good at patrolling. Something needs to be done but I don't want to hold the button down for longer so I'm not sure what they could do.

@BulletsNonstop said:
You wanna make this game harder on survivors I think killers should be slower or have less melee range. There nothing more frustrating than getting slammed from around a corner a mile away because killers have this god like melee attacks. Well on the other side of vaults and I’m going down, I look back and the killers still on the other side of the vault? Wtfff.... killer buffs... please.. yeah let the devs hand you more than you already need
This is an issue with how dedicated servers work, not Killers or their attack range. This has been discussed to death and was the main focus of the last Dev talk live stream.
@op: don't waste your time with it then. If you don't have pop and/or aren't good at patrolling you are going to fail keeping any gen.

This is what I don't understand.
Ruin was nerfed but NOED was left alone? NOED was far more frustrating to play against than Ruin.
Neither are or were that frustrating. Get rid of totems, it's not like survivors have much of a time limit since they are the ones who mainly dictate when the game ends. Unless the killer stomps, but at that point NOED isn't needed anyways.

Since I have no way of knowing who the killer will be or what perks they have, am I supposed to run that build every match just in case the killer runs a slugging bleed out build? Thanks for the feedback though. I play a lot of solo. It’s hard coordinating SWF around people’s schedules.
If you get slugged often why wouldn't you run Unbreakable?
Or, do you think Killers shouldn't be allowed to slug so you don't have to think about countering it?

If you know what you are doing SB can be used mid chase. Since it is so easy to hold Exhaustion just before it goes away I'd say SB is probably the strongest mainly because you basically use its biggest downfall to your advantage.
-
I just can't with this lol.
This just further shows that there are a ton of people who still don't understand the game at all.
-
This is going to skew kill rates for Killers even more. Hopefully BHVR doesn't release any Kill Rate statistics after the crap show the last one caused, because it'll be even worse.
-
Yes. We all know Matchmaking is bad right now. Its been like this since before the holiday in December. Your rank basically means nothing and you get matched with whoever is available.
Behaviour has already said, multiple times, that they are working on a new system.

Humans are naturally very tribalistic, so your killers vs. survivors response is not surprising.
My point was more arguing the psychology of how the devs have created the entitlement within the community then the rudimentary nature of what you're arguing.
On that note, humans are largely robust creatures when they have the capacity to 'prepare' themselves for things. It's the things that blind side people on some idle Tuesday, that creates the most stress for people. So your point about survivors not being 'scared' is inevitable in a game where you have a level of prediction. It's just more of a human thing than a survivor thing.
I agree. Especially about DBD not being "scary". Its never going to be scary for anyone who has put a decent amount of time into it.
Its funny how you can make decently intelligent, if not slightly obnoxious, posts but harp on about data that you believe proves something about killers while also misrepresent the actual facts that were given to prove your belief in this.
-
I don't feel like reading this. 🤷
The Devs are trying to balance the game for both sides. It doesn't come off that way sometimes but they are.
Edit: Ok, ok I'll read it.
First Line: "This won't talk about game balance, it won't talk about generator speed. But the actual ability for one to enjoy the game."
... This is blatantly false. They have talked about all of these things, multiple times. Just because they don't say what you want them too doesn't mean they aren't talking about it.
That's it. I'm out.

Truthfully, its the attitude of killer mains nowadays.
Having played since release I've seen killer get easier, survivor get harder. FULL STOP.
Infinites gone, vaulting/perk/map/pallet nerfs, bloodlust added, end game timer added, hatch close added. All this has made being killer easier and survivor harder since release.
2 escapes, 2 kills is the devs unit of metric. You don’t have to like that but it’s whats given the survivors all their nerks and all the killers current buffs.
You look at the SB vs. NOED debates that happend at release all those years ago. SB now is mediocre at best where as NOED is still a high tier perk.
Killers now are up around 70% kills due to the trajectory of the game and the devs metric system, unless you feel their metric system is bad, in which case they can undo all the changes I've just mentioned....
It's only been recently that killers have started getting push back from devs because the state of the game is disconnecting survivors who know a game is going to end in a 4k so why bother for 3k BP.
And what do we see? Thread after thread recently of killers whining. People talk about salty survivors alot in this forum but ignore the elephant in the room.
I disagree that Killers are getting easier and Survivors are getting harder. But I agree the complaining is getting a bit much. As a Survivor main I basically do whatever I want all game.Basically nothing matters. Playing a Killer is just stressful and gives me anxiety. But I'm weak or whatever. 🤷
" SB now is mediocre at best where as NOED is still a high tier perk."
LMAO! The best exhaustion perk in the game is mediocre? Okay. Sure.
"Killers now are up around 70% kills due to the trajectory of the game and the devs metric system, unless you feel their metric system is bad, in which case they can undo all the changes I've just mentioned...."
Everyone needs to stop with this. Just STOP. You, and so many others (the 42 upvotes on this post is mindblowing) have no idea what the data released showed or proved or what it even means.
The fact this information is constantly brought up as some sort of "proof" that all Killers are strong is pathetic and hilarious. The fact that I see "70%!" all the time when it comes to the data just shows how much people love to spread misinformation around here to perpetuate victimhood of their "side" and keep the "us vs them" narrative alive. Its sickening.

Will you really argue, that this HEX perk is good? No hex perk is good, because they can, and will be, destroyed before they get to be used,
His two other perks are literally inferior Discordance with a timer.
Considering his Hex works when it, and other, totems get destroyed how is it not even partially useful?
Add on to that that Inner Strength is used often and you'll get some use out of it for sure, especially if you use Thrill of the Hunt and Haunted Ground.

Statistics are nothing without interpretation, and the stat sheets they've sent out are not what they base balancing decisions on. Those were for fun and we were encouraged to not make conclusions solely based on those statistics.
That being said, I'm certain that any statistics they use as part of evaluating how the average game is turning out are much more detailed than what we've obtained, which allows them to interpret if a survivor decided to die right when they got hooked, or if they simply didn't get saved.
I created a crazy conspiracy theory thread about the kill rates. Not going into detail because it was just for fun, however, Peanits posted in it letting me and others know that they do not have that much in depth detail about deaths beyond what is seen at the end of a match.
He could have lied but I dont want to believe that.

It was obviously going to happen. Anyone who plays the game could have seen this coming if they have any experience with the community.
Either people just stop playing in which case killer queues take longer or game mechanics are changed or certain perks get buffed to combat it.
Any killer participating in this behaviour is only shooting themselves in the foot. These kind of toxic players will be the first to cry if survivors are given a bleedout option for example.
God forbidden you have to run a perk(s) to counter a playstyle you dislike. Especially if it's a common tactic.
Oh wait, it's clickyclicky. Moving on.

Peanits has worked on the team that did the in game reports. They're not worthless. But if you report over external or petty things, often nothing will happen.
Actually the PS4 in-game report system is pretty worthless. 🤷
