Sabotage a hooked survivors hook to release them and break the hook?
Just realised this might be a nifty yet small feature that could save time for saboer's and net a good amount of points.
thoughts?

why not, it'd be pretty cool
Why, when we have Breakdown?
as an alteranate additon for players not running it or for those that don't have jeff...?
Because literally no one runs breakdown. It would help against killers that like to facecamp hooks and capitalize off of the survivors that struggle to save the poor soul that gets face camped.
what's the point? it's basically unhooking but requires a perk? which pros this would give? the time would be roughly the same and it would only confuse baby survivors even more, which is something devs clearly don't want since they're slowly removing every unique interaction or feature...
But then the hook would be stuck in them (not that logic matters, I mean you can get chainsawed 5 times and then somebody can rub your back for a few seconds and you're good as new)
With the recent sabo changes - why not? You can even balance around it. Let's say that it takes a couple of seconds less than unhooking. However, BT and such does not activate when you do it. To add to that - it could injure or inflict broken status on the savior. It would be a quick-save method, but it would hurt the survivor and the team at the same time. It would be situational and only useful in the clutchest of moments.
You do realise the hook will just respawn like 30 seconds later?
Could be a useful option endgame. Killer takes you to a close hook to exit gate. Open it and sabo release the survivor. Even if the killer manages to down them, or you, you can likely escape. Honestly just want it for more diversity of build and sabo options.
You do realise it could still be useful against a camping killer? Can't hook them immediately. Wouldn't apply borrowed time despite you getting a save but still has its uses.
I ran into a guy last week who ran Breakdown on Steve.
It didn't help but, hey, someone used it.
