It's 4% to give you a chance, but you aren't supposed to even try, it is expected, and designed, that someone will pull you off. There are 4 survivors and the game is designed with them working together in mind.
-
OMG so many of these add-ons are awful. For example, the Buckle is insultingly awful.
-
@Todgeweiht said:
Yikes, I get why tho, considering the time you get the most heat is when you are revving your chainsaw, those add-ons would immedeatly become top tier because they would allow you to not gain as much heat and rev quicker at the same time.
They already are top tier though. lol They are the main add-ons Billys run.
Not that I think he ever actually needed them or care that they are gone.
-
Imagine complaining about losing items while also acting like they are equal to Killer Powers.
You realize that using an item up completely used to destroy the entire item right?
-
Ah.
I've seen the pallet bumping bug a few times. I always thought it was them bumping the wall even if they were right in front of the pallet.
-
I thought the same thing when I read the patch notes.
Sure, you could read it as "Survivors were dropping twice as many orbs as they should have been when doing actions." But this doesn't really hold water because if it was twice as many as more than not doing an action it would have been obvious. When my fiance was playing Oni for challenges the number of Orbs looked normal. There were no obvious collections of "twice" the amount of orbs that should be dropped when survivors were doing actions anywhere. Also, no one has said anything before the "issue" fix as far as I've seen.
So the only way to read this is that "Survivors were never intended to drop more orbs when doing an action, like vaulting so we fixed it." Which brings to question:
- Wasn't this an intended feature?
- Why did it take until now to fix this "issue"?
-
What bugs exactly?
I keep seeing people mention he has bugs but no one has actually stated what the bugs are.
-
Meh.
-
Maybe look up how matches were before egc? I know, Google is hard. Harder than typing out a long winded thread where you complain and completely miss the point even.
Matches have a definitive end now.

what so funny about losing money mate? are you a scummy person? i dont understand why people laugh at each other instead of supporting each other, i guess some people are still apes.
You didn't lose money.
You chose to spent money on a game that is constantly changing. You had to accept this when starting the game. This protects BHVR legally. Just because you don't like a change doesn't mean you can demand a refund, or you some how lost your money.
I can't even tell if this is serious at this point.

That's such a relief to hear.
They can't because there was no counter play. It was just a bunch of annoying nonsense. Hell, the player you replied too obviously never played against original Legion if they think not seeing scratch marks stopped them and allowed you to juke.
Legion didn't care about losing you because they were relentless. You WOULD be found due to blood, sounds, or not being able to mend.
---
To continue the anti-old Legion agenda:
Legion, the worst killer at the time, dictated how ever trial played out. They chose a survivor and chased then until they were down, which took forever, while everyone else did gens.
No one healed. There was literally NO difference between being full health and being injured. Similar to plague but at least she can end chases without having to hit you 4(3) times.
Legion ran Thana and their power ensured it was active all game.
Facing Legion usually meant you'd escape, but in the most grueling and unfun way possible.
Hell, a single add-on determined if it was going to be a yawnfest or a dumpster fire of bs.

No, I made a concrete point about a stupid feature that makes zero sense any way you put it... Having the saw run out of gas and needing to refuel(like clown maybe) would've been better and more realistic...
What's your point exactly though?
I was warning you about not arguing for realism because it is an argument that you will not win. No matter how hard you try. It will just dilute, and weaken, the actual good arguments you make against the changes.
I don't care about the changes either way, and if you want to argue for realism then go ahead. But just know that people who are for the changes will tear that argument apart instantly.

Strawmanning is fun.
People came to the conclusion that survivors are OP by logically thinking and also by marth's experiment, we didn't need graphs for that.
And here we have the classic: "Accusing someone of a straw-man and then creating a straw-man" argument. They don't know what a straw-man is but they know that it is used to disregard someone else's argument. They use it aggressively. But it is high risk because, you see, they almost always follow it up with an actual straw-man argument.
Literally: What?
-
@Todgeweiht said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1420771#Comment_1420771
What I am saying is that people got the wrong conclusion from the graph and were justifying it to say "survivors opie" or "killers opie", but then when the graphs were used against them they said they were "unreliable".
Yup.
It was a complete mess when they were released. And every now and then someone will come out of the woodwork and use it to support their belief.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the data is just numbers. We don't know really anything about what those numbers actually stand for or what they actually mean because we have so little info about the actual data. But people will keep using it as definitive proof of something, even if the data proves nothing.

Please don't start arguing realism. Its a bad stance to take. It will only weaken any good points you actually have.

So, I gotta honest q for survivors. Would you be ok if they put a cool down on your vaults? Like after 3 vaults, you have to wait 10-15 secs to be able to vault again? Or what about on running? You can only run for so long before running out of stamina, and go into a cool down? Would all of you be ok with that? Or would you be pissed like a lot of killers are right now?? Honestly?
I literally run everywhere, and almost nonstop, as a survivor. So I'd be okay with a stamina bar because, damn it, some of the buttons on my controller need a break.
But its also not the same because the Chainsaw looks like it cools down pretty quickly when you aren't revving it.
-
BHVR stated in some threads that any match with a DC was omitted from the stats. I remember this for sure because I asked the same question back in November and Peanits(or Almo) let me know that they were omitted. Which, honestly, I'm still not sure how I feel about it.
BHVR also stated that the Killrates for Red Rank Killers was "vs Any Ranks" not just "vs Red Rank" Survivors.
-
@PrettyFaceKate said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1420607#Comment_1420607
Your statements don't compute. If the game was so easy to play as survivor, then the kill rate wouldn't be 70-75%. DUCY?
Why are your views and thoughts on this so shallow?
A couple of things:
- what does "75% Killrate" actually mean?
- Red Rank vs. All Rank doesn't accurately reflect strength of Killers or Survivors.
- Its easy af to get to any rank as a survivor. So a Red Rank Killer would mostly get matched with players below their rank. (between ranks 9-1 for Rank 3 Killer, 7-1 for Rank 1) the number of survivors not of equal skill level being faced is completely unknown, but undoubtedly the vast majority.
- Dying as a Survivor doesn't really mean anything. Dying doesn't mean playing survivor isn't easy.

Thing is, Legion is now healthy for the game and IMO Legion is not even that bad. What sucks the most is the fatique. But being at 115% Movement speed is an improvement, because you would not need your power to actually down a Survivor. Before with 110%, this was way different.
And well, aside from cheesing his Power, the whole Feral Frenzy was stupid. Because there was no counterplay for the Survivor, and Legion needed to hit them 4 times (except when using Franks Mixtape). So a Legion can guarantee to get a Down while losing the game, basically.
So I would say, Legion is in a better spot right now than he was at release.
I would also not compare it to Hillbilly, because as OP mentioned, the Changes do not sound that significant. Of course my opinion can easily change when I test it out myself, could be possible that I will say "######### is this Bullshit", but from reading alone, it does not sound too bad.
I agree 100%
Original Legion was such a mess and I was one of many players that hated facing them, though I never DC'd.
Just to reiterate your point, they took forever to get kills, they had literally zero counterplay for the survivors unlucky enough to get stuck in a chase with them. It was incredibly unfun and was straight up unfair for survivors to deal with. But at the same time every other survivor just pumped gens because it took Legion ages to down that one person. Their lack of killing power made them, at face value, one of the weakest killers but if Legion chased you, you were going down and there was nothing you could do about it.
Legion is a lot healthier for the game now.
Also Billy changes are going to be fine I think, from reading them and seeing them in the video. Not that many people on here are ever going to accept that even after his changes are released. 🤷♀️

Why are you trying to ask him to prove the signatures are real, when you can't prove they're fake either? Mere suspicion isn't enough. Even if 25% of the signatures were fake (which is a huge over-exaggeration), that's STILL over 16,000 people.
Its still Change.org
Its not going to do anything.
And is guessing 25% a huge over-exaggeration when nothing is stopping you from signing it multiple times and you don't need to provide proof of identification?

I know right? One fell off into obscurity until a ######### movie came along and its sequel was abandoned, and the other is a super well known widely enjoyed horror game made that has spawned books, vr games, and potentially it's own ######### movie.
PS: I enjoy both. But trying to discredit one because you like the other is silly.
Good try.
I can make a blatantly biased and disingenuous statement too:
| I know right? One is a set of trash games that rely on Jump Scares. A cheap tactic that clueless people think is "fear' when its just their instinctual fight-or-flight reaction. FnaF is part of the problem with the Horror Genre. The other is from a movie and a few games. One of which is beloved and continues to be toted as one of the greatest horror games of all time.|
To clarify: I don't care about either of them. I haven't played much Silent Hill or FnaF. But at least I'm willing to recognize that PH was popular, even before the Silent Hill movie came out, and came from a game that people loved and still love to this day. Acting as if he fell into obscurity is ridiculous. Springtrap isn't as well loved or known outside the FnaF fandom as you might think. The Silent Hill movie IS garbage though.
PS: Maybe instead of comparing PH to FnaF you should compare PH to Springtrap. Or are you too blind by bias to see the difference?

If you leave the game by getting kicked or dashboarding you still disconnect from the server which then kicks in the freebe or if you've used them up then you get a penalty. You're still leaving the match my guy. But hitting the leave match button should be an automatic penalty.
This makes more sense. Your first post is lacking in info. Lol sorry about that.

Oddly enough, the ranking system is designed to link you with survivors with 10 ranks of you, so this is a sad excuse where the system is working properly under it's current condition. Not to say I agree with being paired up with red ranks when you're in green ranks. I get red and purple ranks when I'm a rank 15 killer though.
When did they ever say 10? It was always 6 ranks of you (or highest rank if in SWF) and then it broke (of lowest rank when in SWF), twice(games were taking forever so they opened up so everyone could get into a match with anyone), around Christmas, they tried to fix it but it's been an absolute mess ever since.

It should activate if you hit the "leave game" button with up to 3 mercy's each day incase you get dc'ed due to network issues. Also prevents people from dashboarding or going to home screen to avoid the penalty
How does this prevent dashboard/homescreening and closing the game to avoid DCs penalties? You literally said you should only get a penalty (with 3/2 freebies a day. Why?) If you hit the "leave game" button. Force closing the game is a completely different action.

I've noticed something similar. A lot of escape cakes with survivors with some gateaus, sometimes none. And a lot of gateaus with Killers.
-
Ebony Moris are literally the most unfun thing in this game, for both sides.
-
Its most likely intended since it would make no sense for survivors to be able to mend while they are crazy.
-
It may be your opinion. But you can still be wrong.
Which you are.
-
It's bad in red ranks and it punishes newer survivors. Like old ruin.
Not that it getting nerfed because new survivors had issues with it made sense in the first place since they never actually encountered it that often.
-
Nerfing > Buffing is literally the worst mindset for multiplayer games. People complain about perks being too weak (and a few being too strong) so lets nerf the strong ones so everyone complains about how nothing feels like it does anything? Why?
This is like in an MMO where a Class is stronger than the other's similar to it, and these others feel bad to play because they don't do enough damage/heal enough/tank good enough/feel messy and difficult to pull off well, and instead of the devs buffing the others so they are all pretty equal, they nerf the strong one so they all feel bad to play.
-
Remember when WGLF was used by basically everyone because all you had to do was unhook someone to get a token? Yea.

To also cancel it if survivors healed would make the perk too weak and survivors would hate the change.
The devs would need both sides to like the change for it to happen.
To pause ds during chase and cancel ds if they work on gens or rescue seems balanced.
I guess that only matters for Survivor Perks. Because everyone knows most Killers were not okay with the Ruin change.

There are SO many perks that slow down the gens. Ruin, Lullaby, Thanataphobia, etc. Use them.
Also, put pressure on gens and use map offerings to help enable you to do that.
The gen speeds are fine. I've seen plenty of wins and losses with them just the way they are. Use the above tips and things will improve for you.
Lullaby lmao.
Also ruin does nothing if you don't get off the gen.

Yep, they're still bugged. I'm saving all of them so they don't get wasted. For now it's best to farm them in your bloodwebs and use them later on.
However, most players are not aware of this, they just keep trying to stack multiple cakes in a single match, thus wasting them all. I even had a 4-man party insulting me, the Killer, because I didn't farm with them (killed them all, btw they didn't even show signs of wanting to farm, they rushed gens like there was no tomorrow), then I told them the cakes were bugged, but they didn't believe me and kept on throwing insults. Oh well.
They aren't wasted though since the person using it still gets bonus BP.

But if you don't know. The crystals on the spirit's body starts. " glowing? " once she starts phasing. And I like it to stay this way. It increases the skill-gap a bit.
She's still a strong killer (strong doesn't mean OP). and viable. not the most fun to go against. but still. she's currently in a good place. and I'll be disappointed if she get legion'd anytime soon.
If i was forced to nerf her in some way. I'll just buff iron will and make it so it increases it's % by 50 if the player is standing still/crouching. (for stridor)
Wasn't the glowing thing found to be completely false or graphics related so not everyone could see it?

Survivor#1 heals Survivor#2 takes 16sec
Survivor#2 being healed by Survivor#1 takes 16sec
Survivor#2 tried to find others to get healed, may take longer than 10sec to a min
Total time to have Survivor#2 healed: 42sec to over a min
Other survivors: its bad
Survivor#2 heals himself for 32sec
Total time to have Survivor#2 healed: 32sec
Other survivors: its good
Its depend how people use it, not the perk.
You can't use the time it takes to find another Survivor as a base of 10seconds and not include any time it takes to find a place to selfcare.
What if you aren't looking for someone and just happen to run into someone? Also 16seconds for two survivors =/= 32seconds total match time.
This is why I have an issue with Selfcare. It isn't the player taking time to heal themselves. Its the nonsensical math and cherry-picked situations self-care supports love to pull out and use. And they act like it proves something.
@[Deleted User] said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/166420/if-youre-smart-youll-stop-running-self-care
There is nothing wrong with running self care at any rank.
There are a multitude of ways that you can heal, but they’re all much more conditional than Self Care.
Sometimes teammates will be dicks.
Sometimes you can’t find totems because another Inner Strength user has been getting to them before you.
When it’s clear that teammates are unreliable, self care is a guaranteed heal when able to find a safe place to do so.
It’s far less debuffed when ran with Botany Knowledge, something that allows you to still be useful to teammates.
Don’t diss self care users as noobs, or people that don’t know how to play. They do know. They know that sometimes the only player they can rely on is themselves.
About your Inner Strength argument: This is a faulty argument and you know it. There are 5 totems in the match. If you are running Inner Strength you aren't popping every Totem you run into, and if, somehow, someone else gets to all 5 totems before you so they can use Inner Strength then they obviously need it more than you. Not that this would ever happen. Ever.
Also, running SC + BK is 2 perk slots, good on you if you think its worth it. I don't.

DbD mobile has a load screen telling you what to do if you encounter a facecamper. Its the same thing that many of us have been saying for years: It sucks for the hooked Survivor but just do Gens. It punishes the Killer more than anything.

Its been happening for a while. I dunno.
Brown/Yellow Killers getting matched with Red Rank survivors is also a thing so its a mess for everyone other than SWF.

There may be on your platform and in your region, although it's definitely not the case across the board. Where I am on PC, my survivor queue times are actually shorter than they've been in a long time, and my killer queue times have gone way up lately. A couple weeks ago, I would get instant lobbies as a killer and have to wait a few minutes to play survivor.
Overall, there's no shortage. Your mileage may vary, though.
Peanits, you're great, but this doesn't really translate to "there is no shortage of Red Rank Killers". What with Matchmaking being what it is.
