"seeing how if this is the heralded MMR at work"
???
-
I've seen some people talk about the Robbie the Rabbit Legion outfits as reason to ask for a FnaF Killer. Because they don't look it up and think its just some "killer bunny mascot" outfit (it is, but Robbie is more than that) or some weird FnaF reference, even though this is obviously a stretch.
-
I knew this was going to be a thread complaining about people DCing when they assume there is a Mori or when there is a map they don't like.
The players who DC over this (especially Map offerings) are not people I want to play with anyway.
-
Yeah. A lot of players have said they only run it for the BP. The Aura's are a bonus and/or don't really help since most survivors assume you have it and do whatever to mitigate how effective the aura's actually are.
-
As if this petition is going to really do anything.
Change.org is a joke.
Side: Also someone acting like PH and Springtrap are some how even close to equal. lol
-
Other people on the forums have mentioned Billy is bugged and that he's been bugged for a while. None of them have really gone into much detail though.
-
@EvilJoshy said:
IMO they should just remove the yellow aura all together. An undectable killer makes for good jump scares. This is a horror game after all. Telling the survivors the killer is in stealth defeats the purpose of stealth. Did the devs learn nothing when ghost face was on the ptb?
Its unfun for survivors to have to actually pay attention. 🙃
Seriously though, many Survivors are running Spine Chill which helps counter this perk anyways.
-
Tru's message doesn't really mean anything, and him doing well with Leatherface means even less. Why? Because he is one of the best Killer players. He will obviously do well since he is very good at playing killer and dealing with Survivor's BS. His argument "proving" Leatherface is underrated is weakened, and actually goes unproven, because, again, he is one of the best Killer players in the game.
For example Otz uses Clown every now and again and does VERY well. However, he doesn't go out of his way to say that because he does well means Clown is underrated and actually good. He knows that he is a good Killer player and can play any Killer and do, at least, decently well. Since all of them, but the Nurse, have the same basics.

Tell that to my Red Rank Killer Queue Times.
Survivor Queue Times are longer than Killer for me. 🤷♂️
---
There's a reason they changed matchmaking the way they did. As many have posted on here, Brown/Yellow rank Killers are being matched with Red Rank Survivors because there are so few Red Rank Killers compared to Red Rank Survivors.
That and SWF matchmaking is either bugged or just set to punish lower ranked Killers.
-
Not at all. And I consider it a win if I die in the end but other players are able to escape.
That survivor just sounds like a toxic PoS tbh.
-
| "Maybe you should play more, because if you hear them breathing you are already dead. :/ Also, footsteps, really? Are you joking?
And yes, it is more stressful."
LMAO
This thread is gold. Playing Survivor is relaxing compared to playing as a Killer. Just because you think you understand how the game works doesn't mean you actually do. I use to play Killer a lot but I main Survivor now because I'm not masochistic enough to go through the hell that is playing Killer between starting it (fun, easy with bad survivors) and mastering it.
Wanna know what you do when the Killer is camping a hook? Do Gens. The Killer is getting little out of camping the survivor and if they hold out for the whole 2 minutes multiple Gens can be done before the Killer decides to do anything.
You know, instead of just sitting around, getting crows(ie. literally doing nothing).
| "And yet im always punished for staying low and doing my job quietly."
What is your "job" you are talking about here exactly? If you aren't getting into chases you aren't getting the BP for that. And if you are sitting around scared of the Killer you are getting no BP for doing nothing.
Eventually you'll learn that you can literally just run most of the time and things will just get easier from there. I can tell by this thread if you play enough you'll eventually become one of those annoying, bullying survivors because "I am so good, playing Survivor is so hard and playing Killer is so easy if you can't catch me you suck and deserve tbagging at pallets/exit gate and being flashlighted all the time."
-
When I first saw inner strength before the stranger things dlc came out I knew I was going to run it. Just reading it, when knowing the game, it's a very well designed perk that is powerful but not abusable. If you want to get a use out of it you find a totem, which is usually pretty easy if you have an idea where they usually spawn. And having to break a totem to get it to activate was genius imo.
I usually get a use out if it every match, and the matches I don't are either because I was healed by an ally or I never got hit. Its almost always "charged" and ready to go.
I run this on every survivor I have it unlocked on. I just love everything about it.

All three points you made are full of nonsense.
1. People saying they don't care if sexuality is added to the game and then saying they wish it wasn't doesn't make some one a homophobe. They are just stating they prefer a game one way or the other but are fine if it changes.
2. Bhvr didn't put out a tweet announcing the nurse was married or Frank was in love with Julie, it was written into the lore with no fanfare, hence the no reaction to it.
3. You and others like @Orion are the ones who continually go on and on about hetero relationships being shoved down your throat when according to you all it shouldn't impact the game play so why should it matter.
Finally, by world view I didn't mean homosexuality. I meant the world view of someone who constantly plays the oppressed victim card and calls anyone. Who disagrees with them a bigot. Being fine with gay people existing and preferring to not have any sexuality shoved down any throat doesn't make people homophobes. You just seem to have an axe to grind.
About your #3
You are either being willfully ignorant or just deciding to ignore basically everything anyone else is saying. The only time anyone mentioned heterosexual relations are being forced down anyone's throat is after people complained that BHVR will shove LGBT+ relationships down their throat. If they write an LGBT+ character as they have written most of the other characters would it be being shoved down your throat? We have no reason to think that they would write it any differently. Except for the writing of Jane's story, but that's a whole other bag of worms, but that isn't about any intimate/sexual relationship anyway.
If you say yes, that you think them writing any LGBT+ relationship would be shoving it down your throat, then @Orion , and any one else who mentioned it, would be correct in stating that Heterosexual relationships are being shoved down our throat. And from what we've seen of how BHVR writes relationships it hard to come to any other conclusion since so many are saying they are going to do a poor job of it.
Also, their tweet was an apology for straight up lying to the community about the sexuality of the characters. You say its pandering, because its a tweet, but I'm not really sure where else they could have posted an apology that would both be immediately visible and easily shareable.

imo:
Demo too high.
Deathslinger and Myers slightly too high.
Huntress, Trapper and PH too low.
Doc and GF slightly too low.
Basically I think your whole B tier is a mess. lol

It says "up to 60% off" though. Not "everything is 60& off".

Cute?
I disagree.

" however the picking up off the hook only happens when a killer is camping the person on hook."
No.

I haven't even been trying tfor the cosmetic because I dislike it so much, so I'm using whoever I want including Licensed Survivors.
Not only that but as soon as I DO grab the Crown I know I'm not getting out of the Trial alive. lol

Except when the devs came out and said their sexualities dont matter?
Ok?
The fact that it is written in the lore that there are heterosexual characters makes them saying
1) Their sexuality doesn't matter
AND
2) They are what ever you want them to be
pointless because it obviously matters enough for these straight characters to have their sexuality be confirmed and used to deepen their character and define them in some way.

Incoherent means confusing or unclear.
You jump from multiple different points without elaborating on why you feel the way you do or providing anything to substantiate your claims.
Your post was riddled with hostility (implying the LGBTQ community is attention-seeking, claiming representation is some sort of narrative, the entire last line implying that the LGBTQ community doesn't think people deserve opinions etc).
In addition to this, the lack of punctuation makes it difficult to read.
Perhaps incoherent wasn't the best choice of vocabulary, however you fail to address the fact that the statistic you provided is ultimately meaningless and doesn't support your claims. If you're just going to pick at arbitrary adjectives, we may as well end this discussion here.
They don't care. It doesn't matter how articulate, direct, or accurate your argument is. They don't care and will just go on to spout their nonsense and continue to believe it is fact and inarguable.
Hell, the fact that they even posted these numbers as if they are pure facts, and then immediately folded after you pointed out why it is flawed data, is hilarious imo.
Side: Incoherent was a fine choice of words. Because it was incoherent. It was a talking point they only seem to half understand and decided to regurgitate what they could remember.

Oh „of the west“ meant only USA. Gotcha. Surveys in Europe show slightly higher numbers. (And there are of course always those that lie to themselves and others but thats a different topic).
so, those 3.5 percent should not ask for a character they can relate to in a videogame? Because they are a minority?
Didn't you know? Being a minority means you mean less. You are minor after all. 😲
-
I just love seeing straight guys telling us how much they support us by telling us that confirming a characters sexuality, other than hetero, would be pandering and unneeded. Don't all of you?
Also, the people talking about characters being "retconned" if they are confirmed LGBT+ just proves what many of us already have said before: if a sexuality isn't confirmed everyone assumes the character is straight and this becomes their canon sexuality.
Thus, including an already existent character's sexually in new lore, and confirming it as anything other than hetero is seen as a change/retcon of the character. But a character being given a new hobby, a new habit, job, a friend, what have you being added? That's seen as an expansion of the character's lore. It's disappointing when people get bent out of shape over it.
If Adam has a wife in new lore? Nothing. No one cares. A husband? Pandering, a retcon, and an unneeded inclusion. This is the world we live in.

I guess those Survivors quitted the game because of the constant Survivor Nerfs for years (which is true btw.). But this nonsense is only allowed and upvoted when people are writing that about Killers.
I thought you were better than this Aven. But I guess its just a matter of time before many of us fall down into the "but look at all teh nerfs x has gotten. Its way more than the otherside/way more impactful." Only mentioning nerfs and not buffs/changes is disingenuous.
I'm sad now.

How is this different from previous events?
-
Plaque. 🤭
But, yeah, Plague is probably the hardest Killer to Adebt (especially in Red Ranks) since her power hurts her Emblem gains. Besides Nurse for most people, but that's a learning curve thing.
Of her perks; Infectious Fright is going to help you most to get emblems, Dark Devotion is basically doing nothing since it has no other perks to work with.

No.

Also, maybe I'm just "lucky" but I've found a crown in almost every match I've done without even looking.

actually it’s personal preference to most like myself and even most devs it best as it is now cuz it only makes an annoying ping every 8/10/12 seconds you don’t have a Constant boom boom boom every 8 seconds
The annoying "ping" gives more information than the Gen being yellow. It is undeniably worse when the ping activates less often at higher tiers.
-
"Multiple Millions"
Okay. 🤭

If someone has the crown, don't kill them. If someone is looking for the crown, don't kill them. If a licensed survivor grabs the crown/has one, kill them.
Its not that hard.

@LALYTHIA said:
"But tunneling is fundamentally the best decision a killer can choose to make if they want to win the game."
False - you can win this game (IE: pip up) without killing ANYONE in a match if you play well. The circumstances in which Killers NEED to tunnel are very limited, yet it is abused almost every match starting with the first survivor.
"3 survivors are obviously a lot easier to deal with than 4. And with gen speeds being what they are most killers, especially those who struggle in chases, cannot afford to let survivors live longer than they have to."
This is a 4 v 1 game. If you cannot play against 4 people, then go play something else. No one deserves to have their game ruined because a Killer finds that fourth person to be too cumbersome to allow them to play the same. Gens have never been slower or easier to get to than they are RIGHT NOW for Killers.
"Thus, we have a very serious design flaw in this asymmetric game. The most beneficial action for one side, completely ruins the experience of the other."
This is true. Tunneling is a huge problem and the allowance of it is a design flaw. This current event is a prime example why.
"It gives a safety net that catches a survivor no matter if the killer was actually tunneling or not."
And? This is exactly how this perk was INTENDED to work.
"Since DS can only have its timer activate 2 times per game survivors are highly encouraged to play aggressively, giving bad survivors a free escape if they accidentally run into the killer, and good survivors 60 seconds of what is existentially invincibility, by exploiting lockers and grabs."
DS only works 1 time per match. And yes, it states literally ON the perk itself "There's nothing to be afraid of"...it's intended to allow survivors to play bold for 60 seconds. Whether they are good or bad. It also is not "invincibility"...it's a 5 second stun that elongates a chase, AT BEST.
"Slugging doesn't help in the slightest, since Unbreakable exists."
Unbreakable is not that common of a perk. So slugging should help, considering a large swath of survivors don't run it.
"And make no mistake, eating the stun is an option. But all that does is encourage the killer to go after the person who just stunned them since they know that person no longer has DS, while the rest of their team still might."
Which is fine...the more time that person can waste of the Killer's - the better off their team will be for it.
"The end result of this, a perk designed to stop tunneling, is just encouraging the killer to tunnel more. It rewards bad survivors for messing up, gives good survivors temporary god-status, and doesn't even solve the actual problem with tunneling still being the most viable way to play killer."
This perk isn't designed to stop tunneling. Stopping tunneling is one of its most common and best uses, yes. But it was designed to allow survivors to make a variety of bolder plays within the confines of 60 seconds after getting off the hook. To that end, it works exactly as intended and functions perfectly. It doesn't "reward" bad survivors for "messing up"...it allows less skilled survivors to get back in the game. And no survivor gets "god status"...this is ridiculous verbiage. It gives decent survivors use of a 5 second stun for 60 seconds after getting off hooked one time in a match.
I love that you made this entire thread and explanation and not once did you actually offer a better solution, but you're extremely quick be critical of BHVR.
Anyone who has to tunnel every match to win needs to spend more time trying to improve their game play. That is sad.
Piping means nothing. lmao How about we stop acting like its the actual goal of playing or a sign of "winning". Most Killers don't even want to rank up too much because it gets too toxic.
Killers' Objective is to Kill Survivors and its easier to do that when there are three. Mathematically the game swings wildly in the Killers favor once the first Survivor is Killed. This encourages Tunneling.
-

Well, of the 18/19 whatever many killers we got, we got "7" female ones. Nurse, huntress, hag, plague, pig, spirit and then "legion". I dont think they should add more female killers just for the sake of them being female, a good fun killer is good regardless of their gender
Plus, not to detract from the "issue", there is alot more female survivors than male ones
"A lot more female survivors than male ones".
Completely, factually and undeniably wrong. There are 22 Survivors. 11 female and 11 male.

Its insane that people keep complaining about this.
Survivors goal is to survive. Sorry if you find that frustrating, or unfair, but it isn't that hard. Also, if you find it frustrating to survive as a Survivor I don't know what else to tell you but to play Killer or play something else.
As an aside, if the Killer decides to do nothing once they pick up the crown there is no reason you shouldn't get out with the Crown aas a Survivor. They are literally giving everyone a crown when they do this. Why is this something to complain about at all?
-
Legion has had such a sad history since release. Totted as the worst Killer that couldn't get kills ever while also being the Killer most frustrating to play against and the only one without counterplay. They've been reworked twice. They had a broken add-on combo that would get you banned if you used it (instead of them being disabled) and they had the weirdest vault animation when it got slowed down. There was a time when the community, most notably (!)Fog Whispers(!) promoted and supported DCing against Legion. Those were dark times.
It warms my heart to see Legion get some love in the community when they've had it so hard.
