4%
Is this a fair mechanic? Its like killers havign a 4% chance of kicking a gen to regress like 10%.

nope - it exist just to make suicide hook possible
You are right, to be fair Killers should have only a 4% chance of regressing a generator after a kick, also have only 3 attempts at kicking each generator, also if the attempt doesnt work the generator should advance 16,7% of its progression. It would open the way for new perks like giving you 6 attempts at kicking the gen.
This way would be equal to kobe, 1 of every 20 kicks would actually benefit you instead of helping the rival.
It feels fair when there's no one to save you and everyone else is hooked/down. You're also still down one health state.
It works as intended. A last ditch effort.
Also someone said it's more like 11% because you get 3 tries.
but if theres no one to save you becuase they are all hooked... the killer won? didnt he?
The killer can still drag people out of the exit gates even though survivors won. And you're using up charges of your own life for a 1 in 10 chance of not dying. You're not sacrificing nothing in exchange. If the killer didn't want this scenario to happen they should have hooked everyone twice. It's the same principal as DO BONES.
And you don't win till the fat lady sings. So Jane needs to die.
Think of it like this, what if killers had a 4% chance that when the survivor would have broken off the killers shoulder from a flashlight, pallet, wiggle timer, it instead keeps them there...
Does that sound like fun or good design?
Exactly. That's why I don't like it.
It's 4% to give you a chance, but you aren't supposed to even try, it is expected, and designed, that someone will pull you off. There are 4 survivors and the game is designed with them working together in mind.
I don't like the idea of natural self-unhooking being super variance-driven. I would rather it be a guaranteed option you can take that imposes a hefty penalty of sorts (with Deliverance effectively removing that penalty and making it function like how self-unhooking with Deliverance normally does), making the risk-reward be "can you overcome the penalty you get from making that choice" as opposed to "will you get lucky."
It's a desperate act that gets you killed more often than not. It's fine as it is.
These 2 things are nothing alike. It would be closer to if a killer could kick a completed gen once for a 4% chance to revert it 34%. Does that sound fun to you? Im not complaining about Kobe, Im just pointing how ludicrous it kind of is and how stupid it would be to buff it in anyway. I had a double kobe a few weeks ago just as i downed the 4th survivor. 1 was dead, 2 were just hooked, i downed the 4th guy and boom two off hook.
You havent win till you left the trial. Your objective isnt to complete gens, its to escape 🤦♂️
No its still 4%, each try is independant of the other and so each try is 4%
Exactly. So if I jump off the hook, you still need to kill me.
Well yeah.
