Where do you get these numbers from? Because they definitely don't come from DBD, the game we're discussing. The best toolbox possible is a Commodius with a BNP+12 charges. Commodius alone holds 32 charges during which the gen is repaired at 50% extra speed. Those 32 charges are therefore consumed at 1.5c/s (as opposed to the default 1c/s) in about 21.33s and give 32s of progress to a gen. The time saved from these charges ALONE is 10.67s. With a +12 charge addon, the time saved is bumped up to 14.67s. A BNP alone repairs 22.5 charges in 5 seconds, saving 17.5s. Toolboxes also carry an inherently higher chance of skill checks. During the 19.55s that you're using the Commodius box on the gen, let's say you get one skill check every 2 seconds, or ~9 skill checks. Each great skill check instantly progresses the bar by 1%, or 0.9s of time gained per. For 9 great skill checks, you gain 8.1s of gen time. The overall time saved is with the toolbox+BNP+wire spool+skill check is give or take 40.27s, or 44.7% of a gen. The numbers only get more absurd when you throw in things like Hyperfocus Stakeout. "toolboxes don't matter if the gen doesn't get completed"? You're telling me you can instantly delete 44.7%'s worth of progress on a gen with killer? Show me how, I'm very interested to find out. Because every SWF I've ever played against, as soon as someone gets chased off a gen with high progress, someone else will get off their own gen to go stop the regression and finish it.
Toolboxes and medkits are the two biggest time savers in the game. The idea that toolboxes are somehow weak because the progress can be reverted if you kick it and wait two centuries is absolutely ludicrous and has no foundation in reality.
Im using the Engineer toolbox with both charge addons because thats the one which the highest burst for putting charges potential as it puts 2 charges per second and altough it lasts less time is the one that can speed up a gen before you get there to interrupt, since that example was using Built To Last I ignored BNP as the perk doesnt regenerate them, I know a Toolbox with a BNP is the biggest timesaver on gen progression but then you shouldnt pair with Built To Last because the charges you regenerate arent worth the time it takes to do so.
That entire post was related only to the perk and its interactions with toolboxes unless the perk has changed and regenerates BNPs using both is a detriment. Are you telling me you see Built To Last often? Because I see it maybe once per day and not always with toolboxes.

Yet you conveniently forget that DS was left as a free meat shield for a good year or DH for distance for a good five years, when Ruin and Undying sure didn’t last nearly that long. Also, the last time they gave in to constant moaning, we got a knee-jerk nerf that made Thana completely useless.
But a lot of stuff that was busted and took a lot to change was before the new mindset where they announced they were going to monitor changes, perks, powers, maps etc closely after release and change them faster if something busted or underwhelming appeared which they have been doing (to an extent, some things like maps need way more time to change than others) and they have been doing it, some examples are Trickster, Knight, Hadie perks were awful on release and buffed soon after (not enough but still they did look at them).
The mindset on changing stuff is different now but for some reason this perk has eluded it.

It's not overtuned though, it's still bad against SWF. It's just really good against solos, what it needs is a buff and a retooling to work better against SWF while being more manageable for solos.
Perhaps they think that the new changes will help solo queue enough to make it less impactful.
Its still very good against SWF, if you kick 3 gens you get a 30% regression across the board after a down even if you dont get anyone incapacitated.
If it wasnt good against SWF too nobody would pick it because stomping Solos is not that hard, Ecrutchion or no Ecrutchion.

You forgot e.g. Built to Last.
If multiple gens can go in the first chase (due to sub-40s times), and then they can be recharged, that's a good way for a game that could theoretically be under three minutes. With the problem being this doesn't require weird coincidences or throwing from the other side.
Built to last wastes more time than it cuts with all the time it takes to reset the toolbox, its only real use is to refill medkits stacked with charge addons, it takes 12 seconds of hiding to recharge the entire item and then you have to go back to a gen.
An Engineer toolbox with both charge addons saves 16 seconds (since it cant regenerate BNPs), 12 of hiding on a locker leaves you with a 4 seconds gain and this is not taking on account the time you have to use to reach the locker, if it happens to be in a straight line to the gen you were going you do win those 4 seconds, if you have to take a detour to reach them and it takes more than 4 seconds you are already at a net loss and after the first refill the perk is just a drag for the next refill the toolbox will only save 8 seconds.

It's pretty unacceptable that BHVR hasn't adjusted Eruption at this point. How hard is it to acknowledge that it's unhealthy and disable it until a solution is found? At no point since last July have they had time to revisit a single perk?
They did revisit it, now it continues to regress the generator after incapacitating the Survivors fixing it, before at least if you were fixing the gen it didnt regress... They actually buffed it even more.
I dont really like using Whataboutthism but something that really irks me is the fact Circle of Healing got tweaked twice in 6 months, the last one before 6.1 as a preemptive strike due to community complains, I agree CoH needed some nerfs but Ecrutchion needs them too and 6 months is more than enough to see its too overtuned.

Nah, it's definitely the toolboxes. Even without Hyperfocus/Stakeout, a good toolbox can shave off a lot of gen time by hitting great skill checks. A single BNP shaves off 17.5 seconds of gen time if both skill checks are hit. However, toolboxes make Hyperfocus+Stakeout significantly scarier because they synergize so well with it (increased chance of skill checks, which compounds with Hyperfocus' increased chance of skill checks, and creates an exponential increase in gen speeds).
So yes, toolboxes are a problem. And a 40s solo gen isn't a "fringe case" by any means, unlike a once in a lifetime occurrence where 4 people line up to get downed by a single PH power use or whatever else. It's a reproducible result that's far too powerful in the current meta.
A good Toolbox shaves 8 seconds of a generator, if you put +12 charges addon it goes to 14 and a brand new part it adds to a total ~31seconds, it can only happen once per match and if the gen doesnt get completed before you get there in the current meta the progress is going to disappear rather fast.
They make the game harder? Of course, they are supposed to help the Survivors, do they make it hard enough that seeing 2 toolboxes has to be a lobby dodge? Nah, Ive dealt with Engineers+BNPs enough times to know they are not that determining, the only generator that matters is the last one.

I have footage of me doing a gen solo in 40s with hyperfocus stakeout and a stacked toolbox without a BNP. A BNP would have reduced that time to about 27s give or take.
Tell me again how toolboxes have no effect on gen speeds.
And I saw a video of Leatherface downing 4 Survivors with a single sweep on old Haddonfield, I still dont think fringe cases are issues as they rarely happen.
And all examples about toolboxes being an issue people bring have Hyperfocus, Stake Out and (sometimes) This is Not Happening, the issue maybe isnt the toolboxes themselves but the perks.
-
Do you think solo q hud will help this?
Yes, I believe it will at least help with player retention as Solo is probably the worst experience this game has to offer and new players are usually Solo.
Is the game dying?
No, I think its going back to pre COVID19 levels, most gaming and online platforms saw a huge increase in bussiness with the lockdowns and the slowdown of outside activites, lot of people couldnt go to the gym, play tennis, clubbing, concerts, etc so they started playing videogames, the pandemic isnt over yet but all those venues are open again and people are going back to their old hobbies.
Are killers just p2w now?
I dont think Killers per se are p2w, Nurse and Blight are either base or unlocked with shards, altough is very suspicious the strongest perks (and most buffed ones) are on licensed Killers.
What are your thoughts?
I dont think the game will die from going down to normal level of players, it all comes down to management, sometimes a slow in bussiness triggers very poor management decissions which end up killing the product. I do believe poor management can kill DBD.

Hyperfocus synergy and BNP.
Thats 2 stacks of Hyperfocus which amounts to an extra 0,3% and 0,6% of completion, which is roughly... 0,8 seconds you shave or so, I dont think its an issue at all.
-
I remember this game where I wase facing Leatherface, he caught one guy and headed for the basement, I happened to have Head On and saved him, Leatherface came after me, eventually got me and proceeded to facecamp me while hitting on hook, nodding and revving the chainsaw (this was before his buffs), the other 3 had almost finished all gens, they managed to get me out of the hook without trading and we all managed to escape, I usually dont tbag but that guy earned some buttdances.
The best part was all the salt he threw in post game chat.

Toolboxes aren't that bad. Genrush isn't a problem for my enjoyment of the game.
2+ flashlights, however, is a red flag for a bully squad.
I dont find flashlights that bad, since people going for saves arent doing gens and a lot of times you can pick facing a wall, honestly except medkits the other 4 items the Survivors can bring arent even noticeable worthy.
Toolboxes get a lot of flak for how meh they are, a purple toolbox with 2 charge addons makes a 90 second gen be roughly ~72 seconds or so, even bringing four doesnt make the game that uphill, I suppose its a leftover from before the rework, when the purple and both green toolboxes shaved around 16 seconds before addons and penalty efficiency was 10% instead of 15%.
-
No, even the most stacked toolbox barely makes a dent on gen progression.

Well according to Peanits' post, it would seem the "3-gen til the server shuts down" strat would be bannable. But tbf he said that back in 2019 and things might have changed. The server shutting down after an hour is a recent change if I'm not mistaken.
Also I just wanna say I find DBD incredibly unfun when a match lasts 30+ minutes, and I know I'm not the only one. This strategy definitely needs to be addressed.
The problem is not the strategy itself, 3gens are as old as the game and only recently they have become a serious issue, the problem is the buffed regression perks, 10 extra seconds and instant 2,5% regression per gen which made this insane.
Before 6.1 the 3 strong regression perks were Ruin, PGTW and Pain Resonance. Ruin could be deactivated and PGTW and Pain Resonance both require a hook which in turn requires commiting to a chase so a Killer would have to actively chase to be able to maintain the 3 gen and that allowed the other Survivors to try to fix the generator, if the Killer didnt down the Survivor and broke chase to scare them away and kick the gen normal regression wouldnt be enough to hold the 3 gen for more than 2 or 3 failed chases thus giving real chances of succeding.
Now the good regression perks are Brine, Eruption and Overcharge and you dont need to hook anyone for them to activate, you kick a gen and it will regress faster than the Survivors can fix a few seconds and run before you come and kick it again (Brine even gives you info on par with Surveillance).
One of the reasons they changed old Ruin was because they deemed it too strong for a passive effect where you didnt have to interact with the Survivors to get a very strong perk, I dont see this new meta to be more active than old Ruin.

Top 5% MMR means the 5% of players that are at the top of the MMR scale, not that only 5% of the players are above 1600 MMR.
Scott Jund explains this very well on this video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHEkN-oDLrk
I do agree with him, top MMR is a meme, Ive been paired against certain Killer streamers who have around a 90-95% (checked their streams, they rake in win after win after win) win rate and I know Im not THAT good to be paired against them yet Ive encountered them several times, sometimes even after having a big losing streak, they are probably ~2200 or even higher and there is no way Im that high as a Solo queue with a 25% non Hatch/EGC escape rate (as those dont increase your MMR).
-
Not really.
-
After 6.1 but mainly because I barely play Survivor nowadays, before I could play around 8 to 10 games and it was very rare to not escape at least 2 even on very bad days, nowadays playing 1 or 2 only is easy to not escape a single match, Solo queue only of course...
-
I was expecting Sprint Burst to rise up a lot but because I expected DH to get totally destroyed like MoM was, DH is still a decent perk so there wasnt a huge vacuum left for the other Exhaustion perks to appear.
SB is probably one of the most used exhaustion perks tho and while I did see an increase on Lithe I think in my games I see SB more than Lithe.
@Aven_Fallen said:

Oh, not even 4 Sprint Bursts. I even find one Sprint Burst annoying, I dont know, for some reason it really annoys me, seeing the Survivor slowly walking, while knowing exactly that they will sprint into safety once I come close. Or that they are able to sit on a Gen until the last second.
DH does not really annoy me at all compared to Sprint Burst. Maybe a bit when the Survivor goes down two times without using it, but the third time it is the best DH of their life and they escape because of it, while I thought the whole time they dont have the Perk.
SB on good players is almost universally used to reach the safe loops, the Shack or a strong main so in good hands it can be very strong unless you catch them in a dead zone without decent tiles to reach which is rare, I see Lithe as a one trick pony, the first time they use it they do get good usage out of it, the next time since I know they will sprint I just bypass the window entirely and they never get that much distance.
-
I dont think release DBD is like vanilla WoW, I believe the "you think you do but you dont" does really apply to this game. Being able to mori people without even hooking them or stuff like Coldwind meat trees being a 2 window infinite loop isnt something people really want to experience.

I'm pretty sure Matthew Cote said something in an interview about that:
While Im not saying Leatherface is going away the responses Cote gave were very ambigous, first he says the games havent affected negatively the liberty they had (which could mean they had 0 liberty and the games didnt make it any harder because it was impossible) and then he says they could release more cosmetics for Ash, excluding Leatherface.
Honestly I believe people should just wait and see what happens, the whole perk renaming in PTB is indeed weird but doesnt mean much, they could have done it months ago because they tought they were losing the license, then the licensers told them Leatherface could be in DBD and the code got implemented by mistake.

Not always as a lot of time the killer is already going to another area hoping the hatch spawns so they can close it or looking for pallets to break.
But they do that because they know you cant KOBE, when the game didnt instantly kill you Killers lingered around to avoid last guy self-unhooking, if the change was reverted Killers would start to linger again.

I'm going to ignore the fact that this is bait made by someone who thinks Nurse is balanced and give as dry a response as i can
I do not want every killer to be as weak as Trapper, if anything i want the exact opposite, that does not change the simple and objective fact that Nurse is from a completely different era of DBD Killer design, she plays a entirely different game to every other killer, she ignores 90% of all survivor's defences, gameplay against her is about as interactive as Bubba's, and what few counters she does have are countered by Aura reading and muscle memory
Nurse is going to be incredibly strong even after these well-earned nerfs, nothing short of a full-kit rework will make her play DBD instead of Nurse Simulator
Yeah I agree with you, Nurse only real counter is stealth because it takes her so damn much to check tiles, you hear her coming you hide and she wastes a lot of time searching for you while the rest of the team fixes gens, what a normal Killer does in 5 seconds it can take her 15, her being so slow makes walking around a rock to avoid detection viable unlike with 110/115% speed Killers.
Now since stealth is pretty much dead with so many aura reading, brighter maps, non existant fog and many changes its true natural counter no longer exist, she was always a powerhouse but powercrept made her even worse.

Can anyone from any platform drop the Xbox users or is only Xbox dropping other Xbox users? For example someone playing on EPIC could bomb a Xbox user?

Shrug. Okay.
Let's look at the first few by 'Best Match'. Feel free to do this yourself for 'Newest' if you'd like.
- Sweat squad.
- BM squad.
- BM squad.
- "For those who dont know a bully squad is classified as usually a 4 man swf with flashlights with the intent of bullying the killer by flashlight clicking at them, tbagging and using meta perks.". No mention of Head On.
- The post I mentioned, way back in March.
- Sweat squad.
- Ambiguous.
- Ambiguous, but mostly just BM.
- Unhookable squad.
Went a bit further, still only one mention of Head On.
Bully squads have many tools to piss off Killers and mass Head On is one of them, used by 3 or 4SWFs to keep stunning the Killer during chases nonstop while nobody fixes gens or does anything but flock around, sometimes even going as far as managing to reset the Exhaustion before using it again, Ive seen streamers doing this, Ive seen streamers suffering this, Ive even seen this ingame as a Solo paired with a 3SWF and I could tell the Killer wasnt liking show which was confirmed when they ended up ranting on postgame chat, now that doesnt mean all bully squad rants are exactly about that perk but its common sight among that kind of playstyle and again, is not a few uses of Head On what people dislike, is the continuated use of it, usually with someone leading to specific locations with the entire team waiting and with little real value other than stunning the Killer because "lols" as the chased guy doesnt even keep running to gain distance.
My example was about people not liking losing control for extended periods of time, they have to wait until everyone uses their gimmick to keep playing, which was my point as why Ecrutchion is bad gameplay design, you dont get to play, you get to stare at a screen while other people play and without much counterplay, now you can still quote this and keep going "I dont see complains about Head On" but this is reaching absurdity.
-
Didnt know Xbox users could do that.

'Bully squad' isn't 'people memeing with head-on'.
Where, specifically, are streamers complaining/people making forum threads en-masse about this? Because I haven't seen it - and I'm genuinely curious.
Bully squad for me is people who enter a game with intent on pissing off the Killer, usually ignoring the objective, obviusly is not only "I got Head On, then Flashlight, then Flashbang" thats only one of the setups used to frustrate Killers, there are a lot more.
Bully squad on the search throws 1,8k comments which is a big number, if you search only for "bully" you get almost 11k, and thats people who used those exact terms to talk about it (doesnt count any complains not using those words), Streamers complain when they get one and its a spur of the moment, they dont come here to make threads about it and its usually the small time ones, you are not going to see Otz or others ranting about those because its not something a lot of their viewers want to see.
Also the complains are usually posted on threads complaining about toxicity not exactly about SWFs or squads, you read one of those is rather normal to see the term being used.

Which people? I mean...I'd love to know who specifically you're speaking about it, because I recall maybe one thread about this in the last year.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3311259#Comment_3311259
Ahahaha what?
No, seriously. You aren't new to the forums, so this is baffling to me.
Before Eruption, it was...well, STBFL, but before that Thana (and Penti).
Before Thana, it was Overcharge.
Before Overcharge it was PR+DMS.
Before PR+DMS it was the (already nerfed) Ruin+Undying and to a lesser extent, Pop and Tinkerer.
Before Ruin+Undying, it was the prenerf Ruin+Undying.
Nerf Eruption, and all that happens is you (and by 'you' I mean 'the forum survivors') will be back here to tomorrow complaining about PR+DMS. Because there's...something about this game that makes survivors go into a match expecting to escape.
Basically all the viable killer regression perks. Two of those were nerfed to complete uselessness due to forum QQ, two were nerfed pretty hard. Whatever the current killer meta is will not be fine, because it's far easier to blame perks/killer for a loss than error.
Gen speeds are honestly faster now than they were before 6.1.0, I'm fairly sure I've seen a thread (or it may have been a video) where folks mathed it out. Stake Out, Hyperfocus and PTS combine ridiculously well, throw a map offering in there and it's nuts. I've had multiple games over Christmas where despite getting constant chases and pretty rapid downs, I simply couldn't kill them fast enough to outpace the gens which were finished in <5 minutes.
I'm hesitant to nerf Eruption, because this cycle never ends.
Eruption is annoying in solo queue, but *this game cannot be balanced around solo queue*.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3311237#Comment_3311237
Nightlight is pretty representative of high MMR play. You can bear this out yourself easily - go watch Otz or another high MMR streamer play, and note the perks used. It'll match up remarkably closely over, say, 100 games.
Now, with high MMR play being where you'd see meta more, Eruption is likely less common elsewhere.
I brought usage rates up because about half these 'remove Eruption from the game NOW or I QUIT' type threads reference it's usage rate.
Pop isn't all that commonly used now, because by the time it's worth kicking that gen with pop, it's probably already done. And no, turning a flavorful and interesting perk into something deliberately bland and crap can't be an option, because that's really just moving backwards.
Overcharge...can't believe I forgot that one. Another target of QQ that got nerfed into barely being used.
Feedback is valuable. QQ is the product of an echo chamber. And I'm seeing very little feedback here. All I'm seeing is a lot of sour grapes from the killer buff patch finding another outlet. And if you want to see what I mean by sour grapes, just...go read the forums for a week or two after 6.1.0.
Again, you're missing my point though. Eruption is only the best regression perk against solos. Against a decent SWF, it'll work once, maybe twice in a game. DH was universally oppressive. And yes, at the very least, it demonstrates that BHVR approach balance differently when it comes to survivor perks - another reason why this puts my teeth on edge.
Complain threads are made on the forums, Reddit and generals about bully squads being a pain in the butt and streamers do complain when they get people going for those kind of gimmicky games where they enter mainly to pester the Killer with that kind of antics.

@StarLost said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3310654#Comment_3310654
Hmm.
Okay, a few things.
- Dead Hard was used at triple, if not quadruple the rate that Eruption is used. It was left like this for years. I don't see why there's such a massive rush to fix Eruption (yes, I'm being partially facetious, just making a point).
- Part of why Eruption is so common right now is because gen regression perks took a hefty nerf in 6.1.0, and the added gen time has melted away with the addition/buffing of some 'do gens faster' perks, leading to honestly probably faster gens than I've seen in ages.
- Eruption is...going off the stats we have available right now on Nightlight, not even the most commonly used regression perk. Again - this isn't defining the meta, because it only really shines against solo queue players.
- Increasing regression basically removes all the flavor from the perk, and turns it into a clunky version of PR or Surge. Blocking gens...it's an idea, but I can promise you right now that it won't even slow down the QQ train. Because the core issue people have with the perk is that you need to anticipate when someone's about to go down.
- Pre 6.1 Eruption was garbage. Like...almost Overcharge levels of garbage. It was purely a meme perk.
- It absolutely has not been close to the old DH. It's an annoying perk in solo queue, but it's absolutely not DH - DH had zero reliable counterplay and was used between 70 and 80% of the time at higher MMRs. Eruption, again going off Nightlight (which isn't perfect but does roughly correspond with what I see on top MMR streams) was hovering between 17 and 20% when I last checked.
- Does Eruption need a change? Eh...sure. If only because it'll further illustrate my point about how forum QQ works. Does it need the massive nerf that everyone is calling for? Absolutely not. Will anything short of a massive nerf stop the complaining? Not a chance.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3310667#Comment_3310667
...Do they? I enjoy these squads, it's nice to have some interaction with survivors that isn't slam gens/loop/hide in a bush.
Honestly, we need more stuff like that.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3310723#Comment_3310723
No.
- Note which gens the killer has kicked.
- If you're in a SWF, get people to call out when to let go.
- If you're in solo queue...firstly, why? Secondly, if you're working on a gen you know has been kicked, let go when you suspect someone is about to go down. I like Empathy, but a lot of folks enjoy Bond. There is a bit of a risk, sure - but this isn't as bad as folks make it out to be.
- If they managed to postpone the chase for that long, you've probably already finished the gen.
People do hate bully squads even if they win, being chain stunned, then blinded, then flashbang can be infuriating for a lot of people with reason, I dont really mind them but I can understand why people dislike them.
-
I agree I believe Nurse is going to see more nerfs but at least not in the near future, theyll collect data but we already know whats going to happen, after all Nurse without perks is the second strongest Killer in the game, first being Nurse with perks.
Getting rid of Starstruck on her isnt going to fix the problem she ignores everything with a very short CD.

I have to laugh, Windows of Opportunity hasn't been changed in over a year, the only reason killers have an issue with it now despite being incredibly weak is because it's being used more... Just more proof that players will go after whatever ends up being used just because one side likes it, not because its strong.
I would say its because certain streamers who make their comunity by being extremely biased and antagonistic against the other side have been complaining about it, people dont have a problem with something until someone in a supposed position of knowledge tells them they must have a problem with it. Said streamers could start complaining about Technician and the forums would start seeing "NERF TECHNICIAN!!" threads because someone told them its busted.
We humans love to bandwagon.

The issue with Eruption is the long, hard to avoid Incapacitation making the perk more effective than it should be on solos while also having no effect on SWF.
I don't know if Eruption needs a nerf, but the Incapacitation has to be easier to avoid in some way.
IMO the incapacitation has to go, effects that take away agency from players for long periods of time are awful, there is a reason they nerfed CCs in WoW from 50 seconds to 12 with diminishing returns from Vanilla to TBC, or why stunning on 2D fighters became super rare occurences or respawming times keep getting shorter on FPSs.
Its the same reason Killers HATE Flashbang+Head On+Flashlight chain squads even when they usually end up all dying, being unable to do anything for 3 to 5 seconds is ok but more than that looking at a screen without being able to play? Its absurd especially when there isnt any reasonable counter by half the playerbase.
-
They did ignore Twins, as a revenge I suggest players should answer back by never ever playing Twins.

At least it shows they are willing to look at Nurse and trying soft nerfs to see if it keeps her at bay (it wont, perkless Nurse played by a good player is still the second best Killer and the first is perkful Nurse).
-
I would notice because someone else would notice eventually and come to the forums to complain about it but on my own? nah I wouldnt notice (or care), I dont own them and luckily for everyone they are the least picked Killer.
-
Looks like they implemented an algorithm to police videos, it isnt working and they obviusly dont have enough humans to doublecheck the restrictions (as its probably on the tens of thousands per day).
I work on a megacorporation and the problem with these kind of things is a higherup thinks of PLAN™ that will either save a ton of money, earn a ton of money or both, the higherup sells it to an even highererup, gets aproved and then it goes to the workers and demands them to implement PLAN™, they go with it but PLAN™ doesnt work as intended because it has unexpected ramifications but who has the guts to go the higherup and tell bluntly "PLAN™ doesnt work, we have to scrap it"? Nobody, you would be telling your bosses the screwed up and wasted millions on a failure, doing so would hurt the messenger options of promoting, even if someone had the gut to do it the higherup would never admit PLAN™ was a failure because he himself wants to keep climbing the corporate ladder and the solution they think is always "Well make it work!!".
The only way to get rid of PLAN™ is wait for the person who devised it to either quit the company or promote to a different departament so the new person who comes in sees the burning disaster and either scraps the system or comes with "PLAN™ 2.0" to fix the problem which restarts the whole blunder (spoiler, its almost always the later).

What they announced are a general idea of whats going to be on the PTB not everything on the patch, tomorrow the patch notes will be released and then we can see if Ecrutchion is nerfed this midchapter or not.
-
I do hit them quite frequently, probably a leftover of having to deal with old Ruin (altough I reckon I lost some finesse since those days).
-
Problem with tunneling comes from doing it offhook because the unhooked is extremely vulnerable, you remove camping or proxy camping and tunneling becomes a minor issue because the victim has time to heal and start the next chase on a better position, thus making it harder to down them again.
If they take care of camping/proxy camping tunneling takes care of itself.
-
3gen situation is not the problem, it has always been in the game and until 6.1 it wasnt a concern for almost anyone as they were breakable except in very special situations when you had Ruin and it spawmed on the generator cluster in certain maps.
It became a problem after 6.1 with the new regression perks and base buffs because breaking one now is almost impossible when you pair Ecrutchion+Brine+Overcharge.

I do it during giveaways like they do now, I launch it, get the bonus, close it. If there isnt anything to collect and I dont really want to play I dont launch it.

Here in the wiki is a detailed description of what gives you points on each Emblem which in turn is related towards pips.

I'm enjoying the bloodrush coinciding with 'the game doesn't want to be played'.
Today is Fool's day in spanish speaking countries, maybe its a prank from the developers.

If you reached 100% wiggle at the time you were about to get hooked the server may register the hook before it registers you getting off so getting hooked takes priority but the window for it happening is very small.
On the other hand if you reached 100% and stood there wiggling for aditional seconds while being carried is very suspicious, it could be a bug or a cheat, did it happen only once and the other times it was normal or happened every single time you were carried? If you were carried 3 times and it happened in all then cheats or someone exploiting a bug.
-
I learned ages ago to not play multiplayer games on worldwide festivity days because the % of jackasses increases exponentially, my guess is the more normal and social people are attending social/family gatherings and on top of that petty people are usually pettier during these days.
So more jackasses per square meter than regular days and in an even worse mood.

So where's the harm in cutting out the middleman and just giving the survivors the win from the start, instead of forcing the Killer to sit and wait while the Survivors play with the gens?
Because it will be abused "I got RPD, concede" "Oh they were a premade, concede" "WHAT?! 1 gen done and I didnt get a down yet? concede" "this guy stunned me 0,1 seconds before I got the down... guess what? concede" "They set up a Boon, concede" "DONT YOU DARE TBAG ME OR ILL CONCEDE!! THATS IT, I CONCEDE, CYA TOXIC %@#*`#!!"etc etc etc.
This comunity is so entitled and toxic giving easy exits gets abused nonstop, its easy to see when the DC penalty is off and people mass DC against wathever.

Pretty much why none of my friends will touch DBD.
They have a 1,000 hour grind to get the perks they want ahead of them. Or like $100.
Im of the same opinion and I think BHVR would get a lot more player retention and cosmetic sales if they made their DLCs base up to Oni or Deathslinger (or all except Twins, Twins should never be base, auric cells only and their cost increased to 1000€).
-
You can concede in DBD as Killer, you can go to the door and stay there until all gens get done and open it to force EGC, it usually takes around 2 minutes if you actually played the game and they had already some gens done.
-
From 3 to 9 some cosmetics but after that there isnt any point in ranking up really.

Eyrie is not medium sized.
Eyrie ranks 8 out of 17 in size, it is medium sized.
In any case, map size is not as relevant as people believe, Azarovs and Shelter Woods are tied on second largest map and they are quite Killer sided, on the other hand Badham maps sit on the smaller size (10, 11 and 13 depending on variations) and are considered one of the toughest maps for Killers.

Are they? Most of them seem like pretty standard window-and-pallet tiles that you can mindgame if you know what you're doing. There are some pretty good tiles near the centre, but the ones near the edges aren't that bad at all. They can be connected a lot of the time, but idk, I really feel like Eyrie has an overinflated reputation when it's really not that bad.
It's certainly nothing compared to maps like Mother's Dwelling and Fractured Cowshed.
My guess is because the graveyard part can spawn with several very safe pallets and they are very easy to link, on the rest I agree with you, the main is average once you remove the two breakable walls and the tiles are regular tiles too, except the graveyard zone the rest of the map doesnt have much pallet density either, I think the map got bad press because streamers said it was bad and if Streamer™ says is unbalanced it has to be true, right?
I also think Eirye is nothing compared to Mother's Dwelling, most Badham variations, Cowshed or Ormond, all of those are brutal compared to any other map.
On a sidenote, I feel like SWFs tend to send you to Eirye, Garden of Joy and Coldwind, sweatlords SWFs almost universally send you to Badham and Ormond.

Wraith breathing can be heard from several meters away, probably around 4-6 meters, someone paying attention to sounds will hear it and start running.
