Really cool that this costume exists, but if I'm being honest, I think I like the DBD version of Ghostface better.

I think the best way to put it is that it's the legally safe knock-off of the movie costume. :P
Its closer to the commercially sold Halloween costumes of Ghostface than the actual Scream movie Ghostface, like shown in TheShape78's post.

Well...technically, it is very much related to Scream. After the first Scream film released, Funworld designed a slightly different version of the film's robe for their costume. The differences are so minor, however, that the average person isn't going to notice them. Also, the Funworld Ghostface costumes have always had the official Scream logo on the packaging.

No he isnt.
=======================================
Actual Ghostface - This new cosmetic
Original Mask - Differently proportioned mask
Rounded sleeves with some small tassels - longer sleeves with jagged edges
No belt - belt
Robe reaches just below knees - robe reaches to ankles
Robe is fairly loose around the torso - Robe is fairly tight around the torso
Hood opening is somewhat wide and more round - Hood opening is more oblong and oval-like
====
Its a cool cosmetic, but is NOT his original costume.
To say that that cosmetic is the original/real/proper/movie Ghostface is outright incorrect.

Lithe & Head-On are some of the strongest perks in the game.
They do not need buffs in the slightest.

Devs should make it so whenever the pickup animation occurs, the pallet will stun and drop the survivor and it makes sense. Doesent make sense to wait till the killer can move then drop the pallet because what’s the difference? They still have the survivor in their grasp so hopefully the devs realize this.
They already did this once. It was nightmarishly broken, and was removed a few weeks later.
-
Mindbreaker is total trash lmao. It does basically nothing.
-
Freddy-style major rework.
-
Keys are the equivilant to Moris, not instaheals.
-
Sabotage is fine as it is, its still very strong, just not many people do it because it requires planning and strategy. Its not just a effortless ez win strategy, so not many do it.
Generators need some kind of rework. Maybe require having the parts of the generator scattered around the map, and require installing them before you can repair the generator.
This both slows down the early game gen rush and makes maps more varied.
What I mean by maps being more varied is that usually Survivors have no reason to search around the map. You just stick to Generators and loops. This results in a large portion of the map being basically unused.
However if you needed to search around the map for generator parts, it would give Survivors more reason to explore usually-ignored portions of the map.
-
I think Killers should have a few extra perk slots.
As it is its not 4 perks slots vs 4 perk slots, its 4x4 perk slots vs 4 perks slots.
16vs4.
Obviously the Killer shouldnt get 16 perk slots, that would be insane.
But they could do with a couple more.
-
NOED is literally just a anti-genrush perk. It's fine. Break the totems.
-
Early in the game's lifetime to play both roughly equally, but with a slight tilt towards Killer.
Eventually I realized BHVR is never going to balance the game properly so Killers actually have a chance against genuinely good survivor teams, so I stopped playing Killer. Why keep playing as the losing side after all?
-
I take getting tunneled as an encouragement. If I am getting tunneled it means one of two things:
1) I am doing poorly and am being taken out because I am the weak link of the team, encouraging me to do better.
2) I am getting focused down because I managed to make the Killer so mad they have to take me out, which means I am doing pretty good.
-
1st one is absurdly broken.
On some maps killers can barely reach hooks if you know where to run away from them, and thats not even taking the log offerings sabotage, and bodyblocking into account.
I cant count the amount of times ive struggled up to 99% and the Killer was just barely able to hook me.
If that first perk was implement it would be night-impossible for Survivors to get hooked if they run the right setups.

This one is the Halloween costume that you see everywhere, I don't believe it's the movie based Ghostface
Yeah, thats pretty much what it is.
The people who are calling this new cosmetic "OG Ghostface" seem to have never watched Scream before.

Where the bedsheet myers tho.

The new GF outfit isnt OG Ghostface.
Real OG Ghostface - This new cosmetic

Exactly my point. So for example I play both 50/50 and get to choose between Claudette Skin or a Myers Skin.
Well damn I like both of them and I play both of them, now I have to choose only 1? Sigh..
This is the problem I'm referring to and what I mean when I say 1/2 the cosmetics.
In that case, heres a idea for to solve that:
If theres a reward tier that you like neither of, you can go back and take an old reward isntead.
For example:
Level 1: Cosmetic you want / Cosmetic you dont want : Take the cosmetic you want.
Level 2: Cosmetic you want / Cosmetic you want : Take the cosmetic you want more.
Level 3: Cosmetic you dont want / Cosmetic you dont want: Take neither, and get the other reward you wanted from Level 2 instead.

This is definitely by design and one of the many reasons why battlepass systems are bad for consumers.
You want a specific item? Well too bad, you can't buy it directly, you have to pay the entire package, including the rubbish you don't want, and then grind it out.
One could split the cost of the battlepass and distribute it over the cosmetics included within it and then sell the cosmetics in the store directly. The total cost of buying all of the cosmetics would then be equal to the cost of the battlepass, so the devs would earn the same amount of money - except they wouldn't, because not everyone wants to use all of the cosmetics, but the way the system is set up you are forced to buy items you don't want because it is the only way to get the stuff you do want.
The system has no advantages for consumers, over other systems.
I agree, but apparently BHVR was dead-set on doing a battlepass, even after a massive amount of people told them no when they asked if the community wanted one.
This is just a suggestion to make the battlepass a little less awful.
-
Yeah thats kinda dumb.
Undetectable should block SpineChill/Premonition.
-
@MegaWaffle said:
I agree with the first part you said in regards to people who may play one side vs the other and won't be interested in specific cosmetics.
BUT
There are lots of people who play both sides who may not like the fact that they are getting locked out of 1/2 the cosmetics they may like.
Not so sure this fix would be "easy".
This isnt cutting the number of cosmetics you get with the pass in half, its just giving more choice.
You will still get the same 30 (I think? Whatever the number is.) you get normally, but now you can choose to get Survivor-only cosmetics, or Killer-only cosmetics.
-
Ruin is easily the most overrated perk in the game.
Killers who run Ruin are working off 3 layers of RNG:
Layer 1 : Hope Ruin spawns in a good place and doesnt just get destroyed.
Layer 2: Hope the game actually gives Survivors skillchecks instead of just having them be able to hold M1 and only get 1 or two skillchecks for the entire generator.
Layer 3: Hope the Survivors are trash at the game and cant hit great skillchecks.
Ruin is poopy.
-
Just one or two little things wont fix Trapper. He needs a lot of changes to be made viable against non-braindead Survivors.
-
Escaping should be considered the equivilant of the Killer killing all 4 Survivors with all 5 gens remaining, a "perfect".
Something actually challenging and rewarding, not something you can do consistently.
Make escaping way harder, but make it like a guarenteed +5 pips and give a massive load of bonus BP.
-
Make it a post-trial 100% BP bonus and I would run it every match.
-
Sure, why not.
-
Only 150K BP (About 3-6 matches worth of BP) for 2000 IC (about 40 matches worth of IC)
Total ripoff.
-
None of the above.
Hexes should be manually placable anywhere the Killer wants, with the exception of the basement (too easy to defend, deathtrap), and places that Survivors cannot reach, such as teleporting behind the exit gates with Nurse.
-
I only want "functional" emotes/gestures.
Hand gestures that would function as things like "get down", "stop", or "quiet" would be fine.
I absolutley do not want any kind of taunts or silly joke garbage.
-
I dont really "hate" moris, but I do think they should be removed from the game, along with keys.
-
The charms are ugly trash. I hate them.
-
Ranking system is terrible for both sides.
With Survivor it punishes you for playing efficiently and juking the Killer.
With Killer it punishes you for playing well, and rewards you for just stalling the game, even if you lose.
Survivor ranking system should be reworked, though im not sure how.
Killer ranking system should be based entirely on kiling survivors and the number of generators remaining. Survivors escape? Depip. Kill all Survivors with 1-0 gens left? Safety. Kill all Survivors with 3-2 Gens left? Pip. Kill all Survivors with 5-4 gens left? Double pip.
Something like that.
-
Keys and moris should both be removed tbh.
-
Trapper.
While he's not the worst, he is pretty bad.
He's the first character and the mascot of the game, so its a bit odd that he's so bad.
His power and addons are postively archaic and needs some major updating.
Several of his addons should just become base kit, his other addons should be reworked, some general quality of life fixes here and there.
-
Hopefully Bubba.
He's easily the worst Killer in the game right now by a massive margin, and that really saying something when most of the Killers in the game are trash.
He's the trash among trash.
-
Not until the Totem system gets entirely reworked so that its not just a RNG mess.
-
PGTW = Consistent 25% Gen regression each time you hook a Survivor.
Ruin= Garbage
-Luck based due spawn location, meaning it can be destroyed near-immediatley if you get unlucky
-Luck based due to Skillcheck frequency being random, you can easily go an entire generator without geting more than one or two skillchecks
-Just overall garbage because it only works on new players who cant hit skillchecks correctly
-
Sabotage is very powerful the way it is currently, just not many people do it because it requires planning instead of just being a braindead ez win tactic.
Your rework would turn into just that, a braindead ez win tactic.

His perks are really good. Blocking windows after gen completion? Causing exhaustion when a gen is less than 50 percent? Regressing a gen when someone goes down near him? That’s pretty powerful
They are good conceptually, but the actual details are bad.
Cruel Limit's range is too small to be useful, not to mention it only blocks windows and not pallets.
Surge has the same issue, range is too small. Also it only works with basic attacks, which is a big no-no.
Mindbreaker is a super cool concept, but its not very good in practice. Maybe if it worked at all times and not just when the gens below 50%. Inflicting 3 second exhaust can also work against the Killer in the case of Sprint Burst, so that part should either inflict more exhaust or inflict no exhaust whatsoever.
-
Actual gameplay benefits? Nah.
I wouldnt turn down some bonus BP for only using 3 perks though..
Like if I could get a x1.3 post-trial multiplication of blood points per empty perk slot, I would be down with that.

Yeah I think being able to "pick up" existing portals would be a major benefit for Demo, especially on the really big maps.
-
Why would they nerf Demo?
He's not that good, if anything he needs some buffing, specifically for the portal destruction time and for his addons.
His perks arent great either to be honest, though they have some cool ideas.
-
Why would they nerf Demo? He's not very good, no need to nerf him.
-
Little does he know, in exchange for his in-game face looking better his real-life face will become that of the current in-game Quentin.

Again, you don't understand my point. I agree with you, but a good portion of the maps will always be unpopular because the majority of the killer roster doesn't benefit them. The game and Lery's will become even more unpopular because many of the killers can't benefit from the maps layout, you can't just change the layout of the map, IE; Making an in-door an outdoor.
Maps like Lerys, The Game, and Hawkins are more specialized maps. They work very well for some Killers, but not so well for others.
They have their own niche, and thats fine.
The maps that should be reworked are the ones that are universally unpopular. Maps no player ever wants to pick regardless of Killer or build choice.
-
@Pandifer said:
People have given you good objections. Just sounds like you want an easy mode at this point...
1) No, they really havent.
2) I have given counter arguements to their objections.
3) "Doesnt want Killers to be crippled by bad RNG" does not equal EZMODO. There should not be a mechanic that just cripples the Killer before the match even begins, and having maps be random is exactly that.
Again, I am primarily a Survivor main.
I used to play both equally, but I quit playing Killer because why continue to play the weaker side. However BHVR has been making a lot of good changes lately, and removing map RNG would be a big benefit for the game and would get me back into playing Killer.

Some maps will always be unpopular if this is introduced, most maps favor the scale of killers more than the minority, so it would still be an issue.
Again, if specifc maps are globally unpopular, that means theres obviously some major issue with them and they should be reworked.

Hell, no.
Not more reasons to Lobbydodge - want to play as Billy, get: Haddonfield, Lerys, The Game, the new Map.
Also not really cool that Killers would basically always be able to pick their best Maps. Thats not how this Game should work. Like, there is Rotten Fields in the Rotation? I will pick Billy. Lerys? Lets go for Hag.
I mean, let the Survivors do the same. But hell no, this is a Killer-sided Forum, we only cater to Killer players.
Just let it be random Maps. I also dont want to play on fking Rotten Fields or Lerys, but have to. Same with Map Offerings, they are fine. It is not the case that a Coldwind or Haddonfield Offering is burned every game from Survivors, I see them very, very rarely used.
"Not more reasons to Lobbydodge - want to play as Billy, get: Haddonfield, Lerys, The Game, the new Map."
That would be astronomically unlikely that all 3/4 maps would be bad for the specified Killer.
"Also not really cool that Killers would basically always be able to pick their best Maps. Thats not how this Game should work. Like, there is Rotten Fields in the Rotation? I will pick Billy. Lerys? Lets go for Hag."
Map selection would be AFTER the Killer player's choice of Killer is locked-in. So you cant just see The Game and say "haha time to play Nurse".
The Killer player choose their Killer/build, everybody readys up, and then after its locked in the the player is given the choice of the maps.
-
@ScoopsAhoy said:
They've said in the past that this is most likely a no because they don't want to diminish the popularity of all the maps.
That is ridiculous then.
If a certain map is unpopular, that should be a big red flag that the map is bad and should be reworked.
-
@Pandifer said:
How are you ever get better with a certain killer on a certain map if you just opt out and never try? Hard pass for me. Let's all try to get better and learn from EVERY game.
It doesnt work that way. Again, the big example is Billy on indoors maps.
No matter how good you are with Billy, he is objectively crippled by those maps.
You cant just make all those walls magically disappear.
Some maps and some Killers will just never work well together no matter how well you play.
