I'm actually pretty sick of how much the killers seem to whine all of the time. I know the struggles of both survivor and killer. But why do the killer mains seem to have this delusion that the killers are vastly underpowered? For every game that a killer gets looped, and runs into 52 pallets, there are 5 games that the killer kills everyone. If not everyone, 2-3 at least get sacrificed. Only getting 1 survivor or worse none is extremely rare. Call me strange but 2 is a draw, 3 is a victory, and 4 is an absolute victory. I swear you guys only remember your bad games, and expect to kill everyone without fail.

Anyways, pallet thing can go imo. However I would rather bloodlust not get nerfed, instead I'd buff it by making it not go away if the person being chased never left the killer radius. As I've been in chases where I could literally see the person I was chasing on screen and bloodlust went away.

The fact of the matter is, it is literally impossible for the Killer to win if the Survivors dont screw up.
Between how fast gens can be done and how long chases can be stalled for it is literally mathematically impossible to win if the survivors are playing properly. There is simply not enough time.
The fact that the Killer side of the game needs to rely on "Hope the other person screws up" is not a sign of a balanced game, it is the opposite.
Killers are absurdly underpowered and cannot win if Survivors are competent and playing to win.

The fact that you deny this and your response is "lmao whiny killers" really shows what kind of person you are.

You see I didn't just go lmao whiny killers, I said I'm sick of the whiny killers. An example of this and even being a great youtuber, Tydetime. He will ######### about how hard it is for killers despite almost every game he plays he pretty much kills everyone. Guess what? 4 perfect survivors should beat 1 perfect killer. How often do you play survivors who are perfect? Let me guess, almost never? That's the correct answer. Because humans are not machines, how does a killer get to rank 1? Oh right killing people other wise he will de-rank, or won't rank up. Sure I'll give it to you, if the survivors don't screw up, all are working on gens at the same time, can work through hex ruin, and are perfect at hiding from the killer they mathematically will win. But that does not matter in the slightest. Why? Because randomly you'll bump into a survivor who is trying their best to hide, they will go in for a bad save, they will take a wrong turn letting you hit them. They will accidentally run back to their teammates who are working on a gen and won't realize it, interrupting progress. Name a single perfect person in anything? That's right you can't because that is impossible, even the greatest at anything will mess up.

So bro you are the exact whiny killer guy that I can't stand, the pallets are a bug, the fact that you don't want it changed just proves what kind of player you are. Actually you know, I don't know from that statement alone. Other than I feel like you are an entitled prick who wants free wins. But then again who knows.

The thing is, you dont need to be perfect. You just need to be moderatley competent.
One mistake is nothing, you have to screw up multiple times for the Killer to actually kill you before gens are done.
Furthermore, the number of competent players doesnt matter, its completley irrelevant.
Doesnt matter if it happens in 1% of matches or 200% of matches, the fact that the game allows Survivors to be unbeatable if they are not idiots at all is the problem.
At that point you may as well just remove the killer from the game.

Actually the fact of the matter is it isn't mathematically impossible for the killer to win since if that was true no one would ever play killer. No killer would ever reach rank 1 and stay there, the streamers who're good would be bad etc.

The smart killers, teh out mind game you killers, the killer that play to their strengths prove your statement wrong. The killers that know what they're doing don't rely solely on the other side making mistakes. They know when to break pallets and when not to, where the good hiding spots are etc.

That isn't to say killers don't need help they do but this woe is me attitude certain killer mains display is pretty weak. If you have to rely on the crutch of your argument that's false then the issue isn't underpowered killers but your own gameplay.

When a properly played perkless Freddy can 4k a game with zero gens being done at rank 1 it means your argument is false. The Freddy didn't rely on mistakes but instead played properly, when a Trapper can get 4k's at rank 1 or a Wraith can it's because they played well.

And so, you prove how clueless you are.
    1) Mindgames only work on bad survivors who arent paying attention properly or are just outright bad at the game. Attempting mindgames against attentive, competent survivors just allows them to stall longer.
    2) Bad map design often forces pallet breaking, even when it would otherwise be more beneficial to just continue without breaking.
3)Killers do absolutley rely on mistakes. Bad positioning, inefficent generator repairing, bad chase pathing, ect.

Thank you for proving my point by being yet another clown just spouting nonsense and saying "lol killer mains".
Especially funny since I am a Survivor main.

  • The first one doesnt fix the problem of totems being too easy to find/destroy, and still relies on RNG for totem placement.
Also, those timers are way, way, way too long. The game will be over by the time Ruin respawns in most matches.

The second doesnt solve the too easy to find/destroy either, and still relies on RNG because theres no way to pick where the dull totems spawn. Since totem spawns are so bad it doesnt really change much.

The third is pretty irrelevant considering how absurdly easy skillchecks are.

Reminder these are the guys who balance this game. EleGiggle

Yeah, its pretty easy to see how Survivors stay overpowered when the devs dont even know how to play their own game.
Seriously, if they are this incompetent at something that THEY MADE THEMSELVES, how do they function in real life?
Are they just the real life versions of people in infomercials who fail at basic everyday tasks?

  • whether its a samurai man or a ghost woman or something else entirely, I dont really care.
I just hope it's power(s) turn out to be a decent instead of YET ANOTHER Killer thats worthless against any Survivor with more than 10 hours played & half a braincell, like 75% of the Killers already in the game.

TydeTyme also thinks Shape is on the same tier level as Nurse, so its not like he had it in the first place.

Oh my I do? Tell me how you come to this conclusion because I don't remember saying that. Ever. Man in one thread I've seen some children place words in my mouth left and right. Wonder if I'll get a reply

Mate. In your own tier list video you list the Top Tier being Nurse/Billy/Shape.
Thats putting Shape on the same tier level as Nurse.

  • Anything that gets SWF seperated & out of ranked play is a good idea.

One thing I would add though is to make KYF not invite-only.
Add a server browser so you can see what games have open slots to play in. Of course the host would still need to have an option to make the game private so it doesnt show up in the browser if they just want to play with friends and dont want random people joining.

Maybe have a 20% chance of a crow that you disrupted to follow you and caw for 5 seconds, since it works for the entity.

This could work. Maybe not even have it be a 20% chance, just make it happen every time you trigger a crow.
Would also fix the problem with indoor maps. With outdoor maps you can see them fly off in the distance, meaning "hey somebody is over here", but with indoor maps and walls, you cant see jack.

Changing crows into chasing you and cawing multiple times instead of just cawing once and flying off both fixes the indoor problem and gives Survivors an actual reason to avoid crows.

3x BP isn't a good idea for anything unless its for like 1 day or something.

They need better prestige rewards for that... and more perks and stuff.

I would love 3k shards to start from the 1.8k bonus we all get anyways, and 500 cells.

    We can dream right?

On second though you are right, triple bp is a bad idea.
    x5 BP it is then.

Obviously they should just extend the BP event.

    To a year.

A YEAR!?!?! ARE YOU INSANE!?!? That’s way waaayyy too little time. They should just start the event and then never end it. I think that’s fair

    Good idea!
Maybe for next year's anniversary it can be bumped up to triple BP.

  • The random pallet drop from a Survivor I didnt know was there is the only thing that has ever startled me even slightly in DBD.
Killers aint scary in the slightest. Even Shattered Mirror Shape/Jumpscare Myers is just like "oh hey, didnt see you there, I am going to leave now, good luck catching me with low speed, near-nil lunge range, and no bloodlust."

  • Obviously they should just extend the BP event.
    To a year.

  • Step 1 ) Make skillchecks significantly harder.
Not just for repairing generators either.
Skillchecks as they are now are basically impossible to fail unless you have your eyes closed, even with things like UnnervingPresence and Doctor's Madness going on.

Step 2 ) Make generators require finding parts before they can be repaired.
Lets say the 4 pairs of pistons(or whatever they are) that show you how much the generator is progressed.
Make it so the generators dont start with those pistons, and they need to be found scattered around the level, carried in the survivor's hands back to the generator and installed.

For each pair of pistons installed, increase the cap of how much the generator can be repaired up to.
If no pistons are installed at all, the generator outright cannot be repaired.
If there is only 1 pair of pistons, it can only be repaired up to a cap of 25%, 2 pairs of pistons it can go up to 50%, 3 pairs up to 75%, and only with all 4 pairs of pistons installed can it be repaired to 100%.

  • HOW WILL YOU PAY FOR THE NEW CHAPTER?

    In-game currency.

Were the new changes good enough for you? (cosmetics, animations...)

New animations are fine, but nothing special.
About 25% of the cosmetics are fine, the rest are awful , ugly, ill-fitting garbage that I would very much like to never see again.

Did the new killer/survivor reach your expectations?

Survivors are just skins, so I do not care about Kate. Once I unlock her teachables I am never putting a level into her again, back to Claudette for me.
    Clown is unsurprisingly mediocre.

How do you feel about the new perks, OP, underwhelming?

Bamboozle is okay, Boiling Point is what D.Strike should be, rest are pretty standard. No real complaints on other side

Did they solve the current issues? (pallet looping, other issues...)

    Absolutely not.

DO YOU FEEL THE CONTENT SHOUD BE SUPPORTED WITH MONEY OR ITS SIMPLY JUST NOT ENOUGH AND THEY NEED TO WORK HARDER ON THE CHANGES? /Did you buy any previous DLC or will this be the first DLC you buy and you will keep buying them from now on.

I have purchased every DLC that is currently on the Steam store.
I am not giving BHVR any more money until they fix the game balance.
    Fully fixed.
Everything from pallets, items, addons, looping, SWF, perks, generator times, useless killers, bad maps design, totems, ect., ect., ect.
    Everything.
Until then they wont be seeing another penny from me.

The Hatch changes will not be going live with 2.0.0
They were included in the PTB for testing purposes only and we aren't satisfied with the mechanic as it is right now. We are exploring more end-game mechanics and ideas.

Yeah, I saw that. All I am saying is this second iteration of the hatch change with the free exit gates is horrible.

  • @Jack11803 said:
Not saying it’s a bad thing, but Auto Haven Wreckers would basically phase out of existence if this came to fruition.

Eh, depends on the sub-map. Wrecker's Yard and Azarovs's Resting Place arent too bad with most Killers, but the others are pretty awful.

  • @ZiNc said:
So... revert to the killer cube?

    More or less.
The victory cube itself wasn't the problem, the problem was the the game balance was too skewed to support it properly. So instead of fixing the game balance BHVR just decided to give Killers participation awards instead, which solves nothing.

  • I remember one time I got called a "wall camper" because I always faced the wall to avoid getting blinded.
This was back when instaflashes were a thing too, so yeah they weren't too happy.

  • Claudette, for purely utilitarian reasons.
Darkest color scheme and small frame makes hiding ezpz. RIP Moonlight offerings though.

  • @weirdkid5 said:
As soon as you make it so only Survivors are awarded pips based solely on survival, then yeah we can do this.

    I actually disagree with this.
If the gameplay is rebalanced so that Killers being able to actually kill consistently vs competent, then the Survivors arent going to have as much chance to escape. While the current Emblems for the Survivors is not perfect, its a step in the right direction. Survivors should be scored on how much they contributed overall, and how much they avoided the Killer(while doing things of value anyways, not just hiding in a corner doing nothing), which the Emblem system kind of does, but not very well.

IMO Escaping as a Survivor should be the equivalent to getting 4kills5gens as the Killer.
Something that is definitely possible, but not something you should be able to do on a regular basis.

I would much rather the devs spend time on actually fixing game balance and adding meaningful new content (In that order of priority), rather than just add some animations that you wont even pay attention after the first time you see them anyways.

Animation team doesn't work on gameplay balance. They work on animations. Are you aware of how a development team works?

Yes, however you seem to miss that I said both balance AND meaningful new content.
For example, the new Dead Hard animation getting added.
The new Dead Hard animation is a meaningful new animation because it affects gameplay in a positive way.
What the thread creator is suggesting are just little pointless cosmetic things that you will generally stop paying attention to once the novelty of the new animations wears off.

It's really just as simple as copy pasting which animation is played while the player isn't moving from the animation that is currently there to the ones that play in the pre-game lobby.

Doesn't really take that much effort tbh

If all it is is the lobby animations ported over, then thats fine.
As long as they arent spending too much time working on cosmetics stuff when that time could be used on things that would actually help the gameplay.

  • SWF should absolutely not be a part of the normal game.
It needs to be separated to a different mode entirely.
I dont want to be teamed up with 2/3mans SWFs when I am playing Survivor & Killers should not have to be forced to be matched up with SWF groups either.
