Do not camp maybe ?
Bruh, the challenge is sacrifice all survivors in the basement. You basically have to camp.
-
Yes, Dead Hard is bugged. Especially so since dedicated servers were launched on PC.
If you must continue using it, I'd recommend only using it for distance, as trying to dodge direct hits usually results in getting exhausted with no distance gained. Your mileage may vary.
-
If you're a red rank killer, you probably play like a tryhard, and so you're getting matched against other tryhards. It's working as intended.
Queue times are definitely a problem though.
-
I'm confused. You say you hate balanced maps like Badham because they're "boring and uninteresting." Yet you also hate Hawkins and Ormond which are entirely unique and relatively unbalanced.
All I can tell is you're a Huntress main and you want maps to favor her more lol.

Ghost's camera is actually not that awfull, since it reveals everyone's aura if you down someone while in stealth mode, so yeah ... With how useless some other Iris are, this one doesn't need changes imo.
It only reveals survivors outside of your terror radius, only for 4 seconds, and only if the survivor you downed was marked first. Idk about you, but I get maybe a few marks per game as GF. I don't think it's worth using over other add-ons, and especially not worthy of being iridescent.
-
I think it's acceptable, but I personally wouldn't use it over Enduring + Spirit Fury.
-
Lots of Iri add-ons need changes. Off the top of my head: Legion's Fuming Mix Tape, Ghostface's Outdoor Security Camera, Clown's Tattoo's Middle Finger.
Surely none of those are worthy of Iridescent status, including the one you mentioned.
-
I've had Bloodlust stutters on PC as well. It's not only a console issue.

I love the design, the skin, but their power is weird. Its not lethal, but it has a lot of restrictions. Also, I find only 3/20 addons to be good, the others have no significant impact on my games or they only hurt me.
Examples:
Cold Dirt (Very rare) + Joey's Mix Tape (Rare), two the best addons to decrease the stun after using the powe. That change 4s stun to 3s stun, but survivors still get far far away from me. It doesnt help to get to them before they find another pallet. And the yellow addon reduce it to -0.2s. Is it as quick as the blink of an eye? What for it exist?
Stolen Sketch Book (Rare) + Mural Sketch (uncommon), two the best addons to extend the power time, and they increase it by 2.4s+1.6s= 4s. FF default time is 10s and 4s more can look significant, but no. It didnt help me to hit a survivor that is on the edge of my terror radius. And if survivors are spread all around a map, Im never getting more than 2 hits. Again, the common addon become meaningless, if the other two combined doesnt make a significant impact. + the further survivors are from each other, the less impact mending has.
Susie's Mix Tape (Rare) + Never-Sleep Pills (uncommon), two the best addons to increase the detection range, but why do I need it, if I cant reach other survivors unless they are inside my default terror radius? The common addon become a waste of bp in the bloodweb, too.
Smiley Face Pin (common) - a slugging addon? :D
I didnt care to try Frank's Mix Tape (Very Rare) + Stab Wounds Study (Very Rare), but, if it require to wait 10s+4s stun + being looped to get 2 hits or more, I wouldnt call it good add-ons, too.
The Legion is like a poor version of the Plague.
I dont want to make a new topic, so I would appreciate any tips to improve my Legion playstyle. Right now I use only addons that decrease FF charge time (Scratched Ruler, Etched Ruler), the addon that add broken status (The Legion Pin) and the addon to break pallets (Iridescent Button). You can say that Defaced Smiley Pin is ok (the Mangled status), but a lot of survivors use medkits and it lose its impact. Thats why I exclude it + it doesnt apply to every survivor I hurt with FF. It even more decrease it usefulness.
You're perfectly right about Plague being a better version of Legion. In fact, they probably could've adapted Plague's power into a Legion rework. But gotta pump out those new DLCs :)

Honestly, I've been surprised at how annoying it is to go against. I wouldn't have thought it as very effective either, and as killer you'll never know in a chase whether or not they were exhausted before the chase began. But man, playing as survivor, even if you don't get chased before your exhaustion goes away, forces you to walk everywhere for 45 seconds if you want it to be back up before the killer comes. Particularly if you're using balanced landing or head on, it takes the perk that turns dangerous players like long drops that will stagger you and lockers into safe perks, and disables it. So if you get found... yeah.
Its one of those things where you will never think it makes that big of a difference as killer, but if your purpose is to annoy survivors, then its a very good perk.
Your last sentence sums Blood Echo up perfectly. It's great if your goal is to be annoying, like Mindbreaker can be annoying. But annoyance is far from effective.
-
Blood Lodge has got to be one of the worst killer maps unless you're Huntress.
I swear I always do poorly on that map since survivors can always know where I am and they always have a pallet to run to.
-
I haven't gone against this perk, and I doubt I will because everyone knows it's bad. Hemorrhage is useless, and exhaustion only lasts 45 seconds and only after hooking someone. There's no reason to use Blood Echo over the meta perks.
-
Sure, their speed was buffed but mending and deep wound were heavily nerfed, so Legion's stall is almost nonexistant now. Overall, I think the changes are a nerf, but glad you're enjoying them.
Also, there's already a post detailing most of your suggested changes and more. Check it out: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/110693/a-couple-of-qol-improvements-that-would-make-legion-a-lot-better-devs-please-read/p1

I'm currently playing with unlocked fps and had no issues so far.
Personally I've re-capped my FPS because I've experienced bugs specifically because of it. One example I can think of was a few months ago when entering the basement as a survivor caused you to not be able to leave. And it was confirmed it only happened if you had uncapped FPS.
I feel like messing with the .ini files in this game is just asking for bugs haha.
-
Even toolbox add-ons are bugged? Jeez. I guess I'm staying away from items for the time being.
-
Reduce the stun after Frenzy. It's the most unfun part of Legion's kit. 4 seconds is just too long, come on.
-
I have around the same playtime, and I feel the same way. Since around Legion's release, I've been hoping new chapters would be delayed so we could have nothing but game health improvements for at least a few months.
Alas, here we are a year later and most of the same core problems remain. It's because so much time is spent designing and balancing new content that the old content is left in the dust until they finally find time to fix it.
The game has enough killers and survivors as is right now. Gameplay balancing and bugfixing should be the priorities. But that doesn't rake in the cash like a new DLC, so we just have to accept the table scraps we're fed.
-
Just wanna say I wouldn't use Sloppy Butcher anymore, since Feral Frenzy no longer applies it.
I would also avoid "exposed" perks like NOED because, again, Frenzy does not apply the effect.
As for add-ons, I think duration add-ons are the best because Legion's speed was buffed, so more duration means more time with faster speed. Cold Dirt is also very good because Legion's biggest weakness is the stun after using Feral Frenzy. Making the stun shorter is a huge deal.
-
Oh good, I'm not the only one who's ran into a room with no open windows and gotten killed. 😅

What misplay did I make? And "could have run DS to counter that"? Where do you propose I learn fortune telling so I know ahead of time that I will be running into a killer working with a survivor and I will need to run DS to counter cheaters?
I hate to say it, but DS is practically necessary to have nowadays. The type of players you ran into are not the only of their kind, and DS is the best tool to combat them unfortunately.
Btw your misplay was getting into the locker. It's generally a bad idea to do so at the start of the match, especially when healthy. I'm not blaming you though, I've done it myself.
-
Welcome to the forums! :)
Hate to disappoint you, but this has been suggested forever. In fact I'd guess the entire community agrees WGLF needs literally any in-game effect. But alas, it has never been addressed. In fact, it used to give up to 200% bonus BP back in the day instead of the current 100%.

It isn't necessarily the matchmaking, the problem is swf. If a 20 teams up with a 4, then they are both treated as 4's. I am not saying matchmaking is perfect, but that is how it is designed now with swf.
That's a good point actually! However, I still found some lobbies where all were solo but ranks were mismatched occasionally. So both swf and matchmaking are an issue.
-
This feature was only used for lobby dodging if the matchmaking system failed in the first place and mismatched players, so I find that argument entirely invalid.
And I don't know about you guys, but I see WAY more killers dodging than survivors, especially since survivor queue times have been much longer than killer queues recently (for me anyway).
Signed.
-
In regards to the Nurse, she still has a 65% kill rate in red ranks. So if you're a skilled Nurse, these stats prove you'll still do well.
Face it, playing Nurse before the nerf was practically a free win. Now you actually have to work for it.
-
You could probably do this against a cloaked Wraith, right? His stun time is about 3 seconds.
-
Nowadays I'm actually happy to get a TTV player in my lobby because I can watch their VOD to analyze my gameplay from a different perspective. It's pretty useful since DBD has no replay system.
-
This has been one of the best QoL changes for solo survivor in recent memory. I would be sad to see it go. If matchmaking fails and places me with someone 10+ ranks apart, I should be allowed to dodge.
-
Yep. Did it in my first game as solo, not kidding. You only have to be on the gen when its completed. You dont have to do 100% of each gen. Just the last part. Bring Bond or something to help you figure out which gens your teammates are on and hop on just before it's done.
-
If you think about it, it's a killer buff since you won't hit the hooked survivor by accident anymore.
And let's be honest, hook smacking was only really used for BM haha.
-
Demogorgon, Ghostface, and Legion imo.
-
I run Spine Chill in 95% of my games, so I'm rarely caught off guard, if ever.

Agreed. I actually made this exact post already (should use the search function you 😡😡😡😡 no jk it's cool).
The way I see it is this.
Currently, it's like having her 3 yellow add-ons at once. A better "nerf" for it would be to just tune down the numbers so it's like having 3 brown add-ons instead. That seems more than reasonable to me. The problem isn't that it does 3 things at once, the problem is it does 3 things at once really well.
I just hope this one change doesn't make it past the PTB. Everything else I'm okay with and I am someone that felt Spirit was just fine as she is (aside from Prayer Beads).
Oh sorry I didn't see your post! I'll be sure to search next time haha.
I like your suggestion, and honestly that's how I expected them to nerf it, but they went ahead and added a downside. Here's hoping they adjust it in the PTB.

Quite clear that this should not be a hit. And this is happening a lot lately, I think the servers are making it happening even more.
Perfect example. And I agree with him, I die a little inside every time this happens.
-
I have no shame in saying I only bought the Ash DLC for the perks. It's the only purchase I regret since the perks are extremely niche now. Now they crowd my bloodwebs, keeping me from getting actually useful perks. Please buff, devs.
-
I experience this as well. It's like there is a slight stutter after vaulting - very slight, like only a tenth of a second, but I can feel it. I think this has been a problem since they changed vaulting momentum. And no it's not my internet causing the issue.

Rank rewards is on the roadmap isn’t it?
I checked and you're right. Rank "Initiatives" are scheduled for release with Chapter 15.
So maybe there is hope after all! :)
-
I never planned on buying on the pass, so I'm just getting free content because of The Rift. I've already gotten a $10 skin! For free! Can't really complain.

I would hazard a guess that it's not that it's difficult, it's that it's not a high priority.
My guess is they simply decided they don't want to give rewards. Giving away Shards means less people paying for content, and giving out BP ruins muh bloodpoint economy. I mean it's been 3 years. It's never happening. :(
-
PC, USA, Red Rank Killer and Survivor
(Solo) Survivor: 2-5 minutes currently. Can take up to 10 minutes due to dodging.
Killer: About 1 minute currently. Not sure why, but it's way faster to get killer games for me. This was not the case a month or so ago.
-
Why does everyone think it's the Spirit nerf? They didn't do a teaser for the Nurse or Legion nerf, so I doubt they're doing one for Spirit.
Anyway, I think it's related to the 2nd Tome of the Rift being released tomorrow. We're probably getting some Spirit lore and that's it.
-
Personally I don't mind it since the person that DCs loses their BP and XP for the match. So if they wanna do this, it's their loss.
If the game had an effective deterrent for DCs, then this would happen less often. But that still hasn't been implemented, so we just have to deal with it until then.
-
I wish rank was more representative of skill than simply your playtime. Like you said, it's easy to hit red ranks by just playing a lot, even if you're not good..
Anyway, I always look forward to rank reset to practice killers and strategies I'm not good at and would probably get stomped at high ranks for playing. I wish it didn't feel like you have to play sweaty to have a decent game. Reset is usually a nice breather from that.
-
What resonated most with me in your post is about having to practice unfamiliar killers at high ranks. It really sucks and should be addressed.
As for Nurse, her skill floor has been raised quite a bit, but it's well deserved. I used to 4k all the time with old Nurse even though I was not a good player, like I was playing on easy mode. Now I feel like it takes true skill to pull off.
Good Nurses will still do well. I Watched Marth play a few Nurse games today, and he certainly didn't struggle to 4k. That being said, I probably won't play her anymore myself lol.
-
Plunderer's is godlike until your teammates search the chests before you can :^)
Seriously though, I love it but it can be tilting. Like when you search all 3 chests and only get brown items. Or when you gesture and teabag in front of a teammate that's searching a chest, but they finish searching it anyway and don't take the item, almost like they were doing it out of spite lol.
-
*opens lobby*
"WHAT NOW!?"
"ALRIGHT."
Lol I have experienced this myself several times. It's actually pretty funny.
-
I like it, but I get picked up right away by the killer most of the time, so slug perks often go unused. And if I do get slugged, I'd rather have Unbreakable than Tenacity.
It definitely feels good to use though because crawling is sooo slow without it.
-
Just wanna say I really enjoyed reading this post because I've done all of these at some point or another!
-
I can relate to this post. Demo turned out to be pretty underwhelming. He's definitely balanced, but I guess that's why he's not really exciting.
I really enjoy the sound design though, it's very satisfying! (Except those loud, stompy footsteps lol)
-
@Objectively_speaking said:
(Legion main) I like this completely balanced and fair mechanic. *Sarcasm*
Lol you're actually right, this change would probably break Legion again.
Furtive needs a buff so badly though. It was essentially a dead perk on arrival. Maybe if it reduced Terror Radius outside of a chase, like a stackable Monitor & Abuse?
-
I think most of us knew Legion got the Freddy treatment as soon as it happened. The "rework" left them in an over-nerfed state, and with all the other stuff on the dev road map, it was clear Legion wasn't going to see proper changes for a long time.
