I know Killers can hit over windows, but sometimes I'll be over a vault for almost a full second, and I still get hit anyway. Wesker especially seems to get ridiculous hits at windows, like I'll be over the vault and he'll still manage to grab me. Does this happen to you guys?24 comments 681 views last activity

What was wrong with the old design? They removed comment count and view count next to posts? Why??? That allowed me to see which posts were most active and what people were most interested in discussing. Huge downgrade in terms of user experience. I really hope this update is not permanent.27 comments 622 views last activity

-Gives you wallhacks in a local area, which is obviously really good. -33% of a gen is easy to get (buff Blast Mine please..) -Killers don't expect it because there's no indication you have it outside of a hunch. Also, I feel like your average sweaty Survivor won't be running Wiretap. -It's a win-win situation. Either they kick the gen and lose distance on you, or you get wallhacks nearby. -H23 comments 1,061 views last activity

Despite being arguably the best Survivor add-on, I find I hardly use it at all. I liken it to old Moris, where it could easily swing a game if used properly, especially on multiple Survivors. So to me it feels way too strong to run. How about you guys? Do you unabashedly run the best stuff like Styptic? Or do you keep it modest and hoard all the good stuff like me?17 comments 351 views last activity

-Matches can start without a full lobby. Welcome back 3v1s. -Gens can spawn 5 feet from each other. -Pallets spawning in weird places. Multiple pallets next to each other. (Also the Killer has a gun, so pallets don't really matter). -Big dead zones. -Awkward animations. My character repaired a gen from 2 feet away. Looks like I'm fixing air. -Trolls galore. Some people think it's his best perk because he can easily save stacks. Also, there are some situations where you can't get a whip hit and have to M1 anyway. Others say to avoid it because it can condition you to M1 instead of whip more often, and if you're not using the whip, then you might as well play any other Killer. So settle this debate for me. Is STBFL a staple Nemmy perk? Or is it a tr15 comments 271 views last activity

Believe it or not, I haven’t unlocked Kate up to this point because I don’t care for her perks. But recently, I’ve seen some discussion around Windows and how it lessens the unpredictability of solo queue. Knowing in advance if a pallet has been dropped or not is pretty good tbh, and since the cooldown was removed it’s no longer a noob trap. To clarify, I am not asking if it’s a solid, generally47 comments 1,191 views last activity

One of the biggest differences between solo and SWF is build info. Knowing what perks your team has dramatically increases efficiency. However, displaying perks in lobby would potentially be abused by dodging. So, my solution is to show perks in the pause screen. This way you must load into the match first, but Survivors can still get info and play around it. Think of how awesome this would be.1 comments 31 views last activity

Head On is arguably the weakest exhaustion perk because you spend 1 of the 3 seconds of stun in the locker animation. So you get less distance on the Killer compared to any other exhaustion. Additionally, you need to pair it with Quick & Quiet to actually use it reliably. Head On is unusable in chase without it. So on top of getting less distance, you have to burn 2 perk slots as well. It was already a powerful perk before the recent buff, particularly on Nurse and Blight. Now I’d argue it’s so good that you’re handicapping yourself by not using it. I’ve been using Distortion to counter it, but it doesn’t do much when I spawn next to other Survivors who don’t have it. What do you think? Did Lethal Pursuer really need a buff when there are plenty of weaker perks that need some93 comments 3,041 views last activity

Example: The Saloon gen on Dead Dawg. Without fail, my teammates do that gen early and basically hand the victory to the Killer because the rest of the gens are close together. This way my biggest reason for hating Hawkins Laboratory. There were 2 gens on the upper floors, and every match they'd get done first. Then the Killer can just go on auto-pilot and win. I know I'm preaching to the choir10 comments 171 views last activity

Bubba hasn't received any changes since patch 4.1.0. Yet his pick rate has been on the rise in recent months (in my games anyway). Is it just because he's good at face-camping? I feel like he started becoming more common when Boons were introduced. So now many Killers feel they have to resort to camping instead of spreading the damage. What do you think?51 comments 881 views last activity

Remember when Balanced Landing eliminated fall stagger with no cooldown? Ah man, that effect was so good you almost had to run it. The 3 second burst of speed was just icing on the cake. Nowadays I don't see Balanced Landing anymore, which is kinda sad. I would almost trade away the burst of speed just for the infinite stagger reduction tbh. And of course map design is still an issue for this p12 comments 811 views last activity

If Survivors can pick which totem to use their Boon on, Killers should be able to do the same with Hexes, no? 90% of the time when my Hex gets cleansed early it's due to a terrible spawn, like right next to a gen or in the open. It seems pretty unfair to allow such flexibility for one side and not the other. Especially when Boons can be used infinitely, but Hexes are 1 & done.6 comments 141 views last activity

Deadlock - Capable of slowing the early game gen rush, which is generally considered a powerful ability. Tired of having 2 gens pop 1 minute into the match? Use this. Hex: Plaything - This perk will be insane on indoor maps. Totems are already generally hard to find, and Oblivious is crippling when you can't see the Killer coming. But what's the catch? 20% faster break speed just isn't impactful enough for a perk slot. Breaking a pallet takes like 1.5 seconds, and kicking a gen takes even less. 20% of that is extremely tiny. Look, I get that it was nerfed when the base speed for kicking was buffed. But a ton of changes have happened since then, and a ton of better perks to use have come out as well. Not to mention this very idea has been sugge5 comments 41 views last activity

Perhaps I’m the only one bothered by this, but a huge amount of posts on here use clickbait tactics. Stuff like: “Can we all agree on this?” or “Why hasn’t this been fixed yet!?” or “Does anyone else...” are lame and uninformative titles. Surely we all learned in English class that you should always clearly state your intentions for your reader, with both your title and opening argument? Funny13 comments 201 views last activity

And you all should laugh too. I get it - this game can get competitive at times. But take a step back and recognize this is just a casual game meant for fun. Yeah, fun! You all remember what fun used to feel like! In a twisted sort of way, I welcome toxicity if only to point and laugh. Hey there! I'm sure you don't know me, but I just want to thank everyone who's been a part of the discussions I've had on here. There's something that keeps me coming back to these forums that I can't quite put my finger on... From the bounds of controversy, to the wholesome meme-rs, to just your average discussion about balance... I've loved and I've lost, but I've enjoyed the time I've spent w2 comments 51 views last activity

If an item has been dropped by a Survivor, you can puke on it! I was watching a stream and the Killer puked on a key someone dropped so he could know if another Survivor picked it up or not. Somehow I didn't know this after so long, so I figured I'd share it here.4 comments 111 views last activity

Logged on this morning to see my rank reset from 4 to.... 5. Am I the only one that thinks old rank reset was better? I'm guessing they figured too many former red rank players were facing noobs at rank 10? But really it's only moved the problem to red ranks. Now it's practically impossible to get away from high ranks with how easy it is to pip, and this has inflated high ranks with bad players.0 comments 41 views last activity

I'm sure you've all read this a thousand times before, but I just got done with a 10-hour sesh with my buddy (he only has about 200 hours or so in), and I just wanted to share a few thoughts. I'll just be blunt about it, Survivors are all the same; therefore, they bring no new game mechanics with them. The Killer is what we all really care about. Killers want to use their new mechanics, and Survivors want to play against those new mechanics. So how about we just get rid of the fluff? Instead of adding yet another skin dispensary (let's be honest, that's all Survivors are), focus on84 comments 2,142 views last activity

I'm sure this has been suggested before, but this seems like such a simple thing to implement. Have a gen regress immediately by 2-5% when damaged. This would give incentive for Killers to actually kick gens (since many Killers don't kick at all unless they have Pop or Surveillance). It would also solve the issue of gen tapping, where a Survivor can tap a regressing gen for no penalty while conti12 comments 121 views last activity

About a year or so ago, DBD briefly had the feature of estimated queue time for both Killer and Survivor. Then one day it was removed without reason... Pls BHVR, bring this feature back. It's so helpful to know which queues are longer or shorter. You could even implement a small point bonus for picking the slower queue to speed up times across the board. It's a win/win for everyone.0 comments 1 views last activity

-Remove tier 2 and 3 only. or -Keep all tiers but reduce the speed boost per stack by half (from .2 to .1m/s per stack). I personally don't think it should be removed entirely. I can already hear the Benny Hill chase music in the distance...0 comments 11 views last activity

9/10 times there's no map offering anyway, so it's completely wasted. Why would I ever use this over a bloodpoint offering? Or a map offering of my own? Or a Mori? It just doesn't make sense. And even if you manage to get lucky and cancel a map offering, guess what? You can still get the map they wanted due to RNG. It's just a waste of 5000 bloodpoints.2 comments 41 views last activity

There's nothing like having the last Survivor dead to rights and letting them live to tell the tale. Really I just enjoy being a good sportsman and seeing thanks in the chat instead of hate. I don't always show mercy, but if a Survivor has a funny moment or memes around with me a bit (like head nodding or booping the snoot), it just feels good to let them go. I encountered this very rare combo today! So I have to ask you guys: what is a Survivor to do against this? Even if you crouch to avoid the trap, Hag can teleport anyway. The only option seems to be a flashlight to destroy the trap at the hook. But even if you're lucky enough to have one, she can set a second trap nearby. The un-hooker is basically screwed, correct? Unless you divebomb the hook8 comments 141 views last activity

I loved old Ruin because it made skill checks actually take skill. Doings gens is so ridiculously mundane, and as a long time player, I wish there were more opportunities for skill expression as Survivor. I fully understand why Ruin needed to be changed. Ultimately it was a good decision for the sake of balance. But nowadays I find myself missing that tiny red skill check when I'm casually poppi3 comments 81 views last activity

I'm glad the overheat mechanic is being tweaked, but 90% of the add-ons are still not very helpful (especially the iridescents), and some are pure meme add-ons (Mother's Helper's). Now look, I'm happy insta-saw is gone, but nothing worthwhile has really been added. The best add-ons are probably the heat reduction ones, and those only lessen the blow of the nerf rather than actually add to his po0 comments 21 views last activity

Your experience may vary, but I'm already seeing an uptick in DCs. There's even a bunch of people saying the penalty should be removed forever, and I just don't understand this mentality. It seems many players love the freedom to leave when they have a bad start or when it's a killer/map they don't like. But quite frankly, it ruins the game for many of us, particularly the solo players who don't87 comments 3,251 views last activity

Charge time has always been the supreme stat for Hillbilly and Leatherface, and it seems it will continue to be. None of the new add-ons made me think, "This would be worth it over Carb Tuning Guide, Thompson's Mix/The Grease, or Primer Bulb." Hillbilly's Iridescent is a glorified speed limiter! And I'll have to burn 7k BP every time it pops up, ######### man.0 comments 11 views last activity

I've noticed an influx of Survivors going perkless in my solo queue games lately. At first I wrote it off as veterans giving themselves an extra challenge. With patch 4.0.0 coming up, let's take a look back at patch 3.0.0! Pop was buffed from 30 seconds to 60 seconds, propelling it's use to the top of the meta overnight. I'd guess there's a 75% chance of seeing Pop + BBQ regardless of what Killer it is, but especially on Billy and Freddy (makes them super oppressive imo). So what do you guys think? Everybody is complaining he can avoid DS, BT, etc. This is only if he can get you Tormented in the first place... In most of the gameplay I've watched from the PTB, Survivors simply aren't playing around his trails whatsoever. If you see him leaving a trail at a loop, you can just run to the next loop while he's slowed. He can't circle hooks or gens with his power (the trail gets deleted). Anyone else feel he's lacking counter-play? The ADS time is so short, I'll get hit if I try to dodge because he can just fake the shot and M1 (Most Killers know to do this now). It's almost like VS. Wouldn't it be cool to have a stream you could run across, or a river section you could wade through? I was just thinking some maps are the perfect aesthetic for water sections, like Yamaoka could have a Koi Pond area or something. Note : This does not include bugs that came with this patch. 1) Huntress' entire Lullaby can now be heard instead of a small section . This map is supposed to spawn 3 gens per side and 1 in the middle right? Recently I've been getting 4 gens on 1 side and 1 in the middle, allowing the Killer to just sit on one side of the map for a relatively easy win. Is this a bug or intended? P.S.
