I play only Solo queue and while I do get some potatoes/trolls, I usually escape 50%+ of the time anyway.
I feel like having a SWF on Discord tips the scale too much. Part of the fun to me is the unpredictability of teammates and enemies. But that's just my opinion.
-
When you open Geforce Experience in game, you should see a button called "Game Filter."
If you're asking what filters to use, I recommend Brightness/Contrast and Details. Just play with the sliders for each option to see what you like.
I highly recommend using the Sharpen feature though. DBD can be rather blurry, and it looks so much better with a sharper image.

I've had several Killers claim face-camping is revenge for the Ruin nerf. If you do a quick search, I'm sure you can find posts on these forums of Killers saying they'll face camp until gen rushing is fixed.
P.S. these players don't care about rank or pipping (because it doesn't matter).
-
He can feel oppressive with those perks, but the trade-off is that Oni has no power when the game starts. His Demon Form needs to be strong to balance how weak he is without it.
-
Agreed. I've found it encourages players to hide out until their team is dead (even though the easiest way to get hatch is to gen rush).

The sound is already broken to where it's like every Survivor has Iron Will.
Yeah, I don't use Iron Will atm because half the time my Survivor makes no noise when injured anyway.
-
Imagine nerfing Deathslinger when Huntress is already a better version of him. Should we nerf her too?
-
Newer perks seem to come with pointless conditions and restrictions to keep them from ever being meta.
Furtive Chase is one of those perks, so I'd just avoid it entirely.
-
Why are half of Legion's add-ons incredibly bad? Why are half of Demogorgon's add-ons incredibly bad?
Filler for your bloodwebs to keep you grinding again and again.
-
I agree, but they'll never restrict SWF in any way.
-
Hillbilly. The mobility just feels sooo good.

Can anybody tell me if im playing him optimally i usually charge the shock if i know they are running me to a pallet so i can shock stun them to prevent drop or if they are waiting at the pallet ill shock so if they get the drop i can still break the pallet and still be close for chase i try shock everybody to get madness up for screams and i bast at hooks before i leave for patrols so if the rescue is close i can know before i leave and ill blast at spots where gens are close
Seems like you've got the hang of it. It's really all about knowing when to shock or not and getting the timing down through muscle memory.
Btw I'd argue Wraith is the easiest Killer to pick up and play, but Doctor is definitely a stronger Killer if you want to win.
-
Well it's really easy to rank up or at least safety pip. As long as you play a lot in a given month, you'll probably hit purple/red ranks whether you're good or not.
-
Yes, been watching some streamers today and many have high ping. I watched a U.K. streamer that found he had 3 NA players in his lobby. Something is up with the servers.

@MiniPixels said:
The problem is that no matter how fun he is, on top of map design, on top of gen speeds, on top of some of your shots not hitting due to dedicated servers, at the end of the day, even if you hit all your shots, your still just a neutered huntress.
Exactly. Even in the best circumstances, Huntress is just better.
-
Agreed. Maybe he's "fun" but he's a bottom-tier Killer with too many weaknesses.
The PTB feedback forum was filled with "Buff Deathslinger" posts and yet we got no changes. :/
-
It's a filler perk to clog your bloodwebs.
-
The only use I can think of is to combine it with Interview Tape so that the middle of the "shock donut" is filled in. Makes it near impossible to miss shock therapy. But yeah, there's no reason to use it, especially since his other add-ons got QoL buffs.

It's only 4 min. I know it sucks but just get a cup of water, take a leak, browse youtube. Not the worst thing in the world.
I know the drill, I went AFK as you can see the crow above me.
I just don't understand why some people feel the need to take every opportunity to be unsportsmanlike.
-
Billy's add-ons are definitely too strong. Carb guide should be nerfed imo.
His base kit is perfectly balanced though.
-
Nah. I think it's pretty sad that some players keep a "mori list." Just move on.
-
Wow, I see Hillbilly quite often, usually P3 with insta-saw add-ons too.
I also rarely see Nurse, so I'm surprised she's not in the bottom 3.
Thanks for sharing your data :)
-
Ruin is a late game perk :^)
-
Would love to see the "Switch to Survivor/Killer" button return.
-
Survivors were suiciding on hook before the DC penalties too. This is nothing new.
-
Dead Hard. I used to love Balanced Landing but the nerf + the fact some maps have almost nowhere to use it made me stop running it.
-
I'd use Thana + Dying Light instead of Rancor and Brutal. Plague is the best user of this combo, except maybe Legion.
Enduring + Spirit Fury also works well since you have to M1 unless you have Corrupt Purge.
-
Lmao do you realize gen rushing is the counter to face camping? You're encouraging them to do gens and leave ASAP.

I can´t be the only one who just tries to hit at a pallet or somewhere, and the game just ignores it. And no, it´s not bcs of the mouse, I already bought a new one after it started happening.
Also I made the same mistake you did and purchased a new mouse before I realized it was a problem with the game lol. Felt like an idiot.

I have to make more of an effort play SWF. It’s just easier to play solo because you don’t have to work around people’s schedules.
Yeah, sorry I didn't mean to imply you should have to play SWF. I am a solo player myself and Knock Out can occasionally be a problem. Just make sure you either run an information perk to keep tabs on other players, or run a slug perk to help yourself get up.
Slugging will be infinitely more common since Ruin is changed and Sabotage is going to be buffed big time. So make sure you prepare.
-
It's been a problem for quite awhile now :/
Here's a bug report I made about it last July: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/76042/m1-m2-not-registering
-
It's great against solo players, but SWF completely counters Knock Out. I don't think it's that useful personally.
-
Killer gets more points because they get their BBQ stacks without baby survivors DCing :)
-
@Masterkit said:
now medkits and mettle of men will get meta AGAIN. break the hook in front of the killer take that hit heal repeat eventually youll have mettle of men wich will be stupidly strong in SWF. they may not be repairing all the time but trying to make your experience as miserable as possible.
Now we finally see why they made MoM able to activate twice lol.
-
I only disagree about the toolbox changes, they are certainly for the better. A Commodious can last an entire game currently, but after the changes it won't even last for a full gen if I'm not mistaken.
-
This would be a neat buff to Spies from the Shadows perhaps.
In the meantime, I believe Wraith, Ghost Face, and Pig can avoid alerting crows when using their abilities :)
-
Yup, right when I read the description the first thing that came to mind was trolling. As if solo queue isn't bad enough already.
-
I'd like to remind you that Deathslinger cannot down a Survivor with his harpoon, but Huntress can. He cannot attack over 18m distance, but Huntress can. He has 1 shot, but Huntress has 5 without add-ons. C'mon son.
-
Come on guys, just because Iri Head isn't seen often doesn't mean it's not a problem.
If anything, you don't see it often because Huntress players know it's OP and is notorious for causing DCs lol.

@Mistikus said:
its heve to be a bug, you should put this in bug report section in forum with proof if you have any
I feel like it's common knowledge by now though. Watch any streamer play Billy and they do this.

Survivors get instaheal in perkform back. Like how can you say that is bad? You can reset an entire chase with no effort at all which was the reason why it was nerfed in the first place and now they add it back in just as perk. Oh no you are broken for 90 seconds, oh ######### no, good ######### that you can add borrowed time via two buttons.
I didn't say it's bad. If you read my post, I said there's usually 1 good perk in the bunch (in this case, For the People) and the rest are niche at best.
And it's not an insta-heal really. You have to 1) be healthy, 2) injure yourself to use it, and 3) your teammate must be on the ground. Much different and weaker than old instas.

This is how perks should be. Perks that allow a specific build or supplement gameplay, not strong enough to change the game completely.
If only they were made like this from day 1...
I disagree only because that'd be very boring. Sure, perks like Zanshin Tactics "supplement gameplay." But is it fun and exciting to use? No.

@SpaceCoconut said:
I'd argue that many "meta" perks should be toned down.
We're only going to see mediocre perks from now on since it seems the devs learned their lessons about their flawed perk designs in the past.
It's fine, but they're all going to feel mediocre and lame as long as the stronger meta perks remain unchanged.
Ruin is a good example of a strong (lul) perk that needed to be changed for the good of the game.
Toolboxes and sabo changes are a result of the ruin change.
As such, the stronger perks like Ds and many other survivor perks should be looked at to control the overall speed of matches. By taking away or limiting current meta perks further to match the "mediocre" new perks that we're currently getting.
If balance is the goal, we should be seeing "changes" (nerfs) to all of the meta perks in the near future.
I hope anyway.
I see your point, but I would rather they buff weaker perks than nerf the stronger ones. Toning things down and having all perks be average for the sake of balance just isn't fun.

Sure, but some should be designed to be the new meta, the game's getting really stale with the lack of good enough perks for people who like to play competetively. The last really good killer perk we got was Plague's Infectious Fright, that was almost a whole year ago, survivors are in a bit better spot, with the last meta perk being Nancy's Inner Strenght. (which is getting a counter this DLC) The meta needs shakeup in my opinion, so much so that I wouldn't be against disabling some powerfull perks for a duration of a chapter ...
Thanks for clarifying for me. I don't want every new perk to be top tier, but the meta is stagnant and needs variety. Most of the recent perks just aren't good enough to break the mold.
-
@Biggs said:
what are you talking about red herring will be extremely frustrating on early game and for the people is gonna be new meta for swf players.. on killer side... heh yeah.. crap no comment.
Red Herring will be used for sandbagging primarily. I don't think it's that great.
Sure, For the People can be good in SWF but not in solo queue. And you have to sacrifice one of your god perks to run it (Adrenaline, BT, Unbreakable, Dead Hard, DS). I don't see For the People as better than any of the perks I listed.
-
Hilarious in SWF but I can already see solo queue teammates trolling with this perk. I don't like anything that enables sandbagging.
-
When all 4 Survivors get slugged and the game is over, but the Killer decides to let everyone bleed out. Very fun :)
-
Sure, SWF keeps the game alive, but that doesn't mean it's healthy. Comms break gameplay on a fundamental level. Period.
-
I think there may be more slugging, but only because Survivors will "try-hard" and abuse the new sabo.
-
No, just keep it uniform with 110 and 115. 2.5% MS wouldn't be enough of a buff for Deathslinger anyway imo.
