Wait, a glitch buffed a terrible perk very slightly and they removed it? Uh, why?
The funny part is that the "glitch" existed for a LONG time up until Chapter 14, where the perk was bugged and wouldn't activate at all. Healing and then finding that the perk lit up from the killer using Nurse's Calling made me feel safer. I don't feel so safe with its current state now without that info.

The thing is, sure, Scratched Mirror can also be used on other Maps. But I personally would not try out this Build without a Map Offering, because if you get a bad Map (which would be half of them, if we stick to the fact that it is decent on half of the Maps), it will be a really bad experience.
I mean, I have played Scratched Mirror on Torment Creek, was not really fun (Survivor brought a Map Offering as well...). So I see this Build only used with a Map Offering.

Yeah, Hawkins is pretty bad, I put it nice with "challenging". In fact, I would never recommend using it on Hawkins, the Stairway Rooms are way too strong vs EW1-Myers. And the Pallets also get more useful.
I guess one important thing in mind is that we still have the Mid-Chapter patch coming up, which is removing infinites (which was Scratched Mirror's biggest issue) along with map shrinking and tile spacing. That stuff could potentially make EW1 Myers alot more viable on maps where he would be at his weakest.

To be fair, both Mirrors are bad. But Scratched Mirror at least has its own Niche Build, even tho it is highly limited due to the amount of Maps it is useful on. Especially because it is hard to get specific Map Offerings (basically only Lerys, Scratched Mirror is not that good on The Game and challenging on Hawkins).
So in a regular Build, both Mirrors are bad.
But yeah, Vanity Mirror is easily the worst, I have tried it exactly once and then never again, it was horrible. I am only using it for Burger King Myers these days.
I wouldn't ever call Scratched Mirror bad at all. People need to stop saying it's only good on indoor maps because not everyone is spinning their camera around until they see you. No terror radius and 32m wall hacks is very strong, so no bloodlust and EW1 m/s is the big trade off. Scratched has freelance perk usage while Vanity can't be ran without PWYF.

New Ruin IS good. The only thing though, is that you have to be good at killer to gain any benefit from it.

Revealing is supposed to occur when at least 20% of the killer is able to be seen, in the video, the least you can see at any time the survivor is trying to reveal him is around 25-33% and even if this one video wasn't the best attempt at revealing him, you cannot seriously be arguing that the mechanic works as it should in its current form.
I've had an ongoing streak of easily breaking Night Shroud with little to no difficulty. Only times I wouldn't is when he is too obscured to do so. It becomes tedious seeing players think that the game revolves around what they visually see with their own eyes, and not what is required of gameplay to succeed. You ever wonder why they haven't touched him since launch with all the various clips of how " broken" it is? Don't assume I'm taking all of this from OP's clip alone.

- that doesn’t stop me from seeing him, being able to constantly reset reveal while not losing stalk is bad design. Even spirit cannot spam her power and has to recharge.
- Sorry let me look at him correctly, maybe I should look at the sky next time to reveal since that is more consistent. I’m sure you would also try and justify all the clips and vids from everyone from Zubat to monto to other people who post here saying how they should just “look harder 4head”
- you can’t reveal him, so you get exposed weather you try to hide at the loop or run out, whereas someone like Huntress has to risk throwing a hatchet, or someone like nurse can risk blinking. GF and Freddy players don’t have risks, hence why they are prone to bloodlusting and having the rep that they have.
- Thanks for objective, unbiased feedback Ghost_Face_Main
Playing 50/50, I've seen players that know what to do against it because it's easier than it looks, and then there are most who are unsure of what to make of it, so they conclude it is broken. Take the elements of how the killer counters the survivor's action to deactivate his power, and combine that with a survivor attempting while the killer is in a secure spot. There's no bias from me just because I like playing him, but I play plenty of survivor too FYI. Playing both roles gives the benefit of knowing and understanding game mechanics the most opposed to someone who plays one role only.
Best solution is to break LoS and force him in the open to reveal him easier. It is definitely harder to break him when you can only see half of him behind a wall, but that's his counterplay. You can't say it's bad designing either because compared to The Shape's stalk mechanic, it's more down to earth with a couple weaker aspects that work just right. Simply put, it is not broken, but it just appears broken to someone with lack of knowledge regarding it. Thanks for the critique on my words BigTimeGamer
-
Okay, things to point out from that clip:
1) he's clearly being mostly obscured, preventing the reveal.
2) The survivor isn't even keeping him centered on the screen, let alone looking at him correctly.
3) biggest rookie mistake vs Ghost Face is to stand there and stare at him when he could be preventing your reveal play and you easily feeding him the mark.
This isn't his power being busted, this is just bad gameplay.
-
Simply put, Deathslinger is bad FOR YOU if you're not experienced with FPS aiming.
-
Adrenaline should activate when YOU are finishing the last gen to recieve the insta-heal. Not finishing the last gen will only grant the Sprint Burst.
-
Why does NOBODY ever really look at it as a last resort perk? The gens are done, so what? The killer's goal is to eliminate the survivors, not prevent gen completion entirely. NOED just makes the EGC harder, making survivors have to adapt, but nah, killer bad survivor good. Even a "good" killer can get gen rushed you know lol.
-
I tail survivors quietly from a distance to 99 them then go for the kill. Stalk on the regular because they're not gonna always notice you. Make sure to be fairly close when stalking, so your target doesn't have an opportunity to secure a loop.
-
Do the bones, SERIOUSLY.
Reminder that the gens are not the killer's main objective, it is to kill the survivors. If NoED even activates at all, the killer's last resort can turn the tables and make the EGC harder. The trial isn't over after the last generator is powered, you still need to escape. If you rushed tf out of the killer and haven't cleansed a single totem finding out they had NoED later, that's on you to adapt to the problem.
The exception is if the user is actually a baby and camps with NoEd though.
-
On PS4 and it's as bright as any other map. I see no issue with the brightness.

I hardly play Sprit, but all that I know is that it is an EZ game if none of the survivors are using Iron Will.
-
So survivor matchmaking and queue times are balanced. It brings me shame to see red ranks going against a rank 15 or lower killer.
-
It's the killer's job to move with the reeled survivor to prevent obstacles from breaking the chain faster. Move in the opposite direction of the survivor if they go one way towards a rock, etc. Move backwards while reeling to bring them in faster and limit their movement.

Autodidact, lol. Another trash perk, btw.
If you had to compare Solidarity to Autodidact, Auto would beat it by a solid mile.
-
Maybe because the Crotus Penn (maybe except Father Campbell's Chapel) maps are actually good. The only complaint is the horrendous totem locations, but that's for topics regarding totems.
Only maps I see hate for are:
Autohaven Wreckers
- Map design is ridiculously bad, especially all the jungle gym locations being mostly on a small portion of the map.
Yamaoka Estate Maps
- Too dark apparently?
Léry's Memorial Institute
(Someone actually give me a valid reason people don't like this map aside from stealth killer advantages, unless THAT'S the issue)
Dead Dawg Saloon
- The community is pretty mixed with this map, given that the map looks incredible, but it's undeniable that it is the smallest map in the entire game.
-
I thought you were gonna talk about the Doctor add-on changes that came out of nowhere. Now Doc has some busted add-ons that can make him very strong.
-
Ok, so who here actually plays Clown?
-
I'm still waiting for them to fix the Devil Face mask's clipping issue w/ the classic shroud.

Nah, don't listen to that guy. Dude says to "get better",
due to framerate, and horrid controls. It's not great, either. Adjustments are kind of needed.
With this killer, he's kind of right. If you're not great with first person shooters, this killer is not for you. You really got to get used to aiming to be good as Deathslinger.

so was it buff or a nerf?
Can't really say. It's a little between both tbh.
-
How many times should I say this?
BUFF DEEP WOUND, which is an essential part of Legion's power, and not the Legion themselves. Make the base time really short, so it can actually be a threat.
-
Static Blast: guarantees a tier up in madness
Shock Therapy: half a tier in madness per blast
Silent Doc builds are dead, because add-ons that effect terror radius now effects cooldown of Static Blast only.
Etc. Minor add-on tweaks except for add-ons that effect the shock therapy delay post usage.
-
you gotta be on some potato connection or something. It's very easy to break him out when the circumstances are open to you. I would advise looking at him using the sides of your screen and not the center if you're not trying to give your position away by stealthing Ghost Face.
If he's not getting revealed by a survivor looking at him:
1) Ghost Face successfully has less than 20% of his body exposed.
2) distance plays a factor in revealing, especially when he uses Driver's License or Victim's Detailed Routine add-ons that decrease the distance at which he can be revealed.
3) The survivor is incorrectly attempting the reveal. Ghost Face can even be obscured by your own body, which can result in failing the reveal phase pretty often if not careful.
-
Regardless of a killer's skill, it is designed as a LAST RESORT.

I think you just answered to a bait comment, I don't believe he was serious... I mean... I hope he wasn't serious...
I main Clown and Legion as a rank 1 killer and never have bad results with them. If you think they are that bad, it could be that everyone doesn't play them right or makes too many mistakes. I see too many Clowns wasting their bottles before they even reach a loop, let alone not aim them towards a survivor if their plan is to slow them down.
Legion's power relies on the Deep Wound effect, that promotes anti-gen gameplay as you hit as many survivors you can with Frenzy. I will say the Deep Wound status effect is indeed weak, because an inflicted survivor can still do a gen for a brief amount of time before it falls too low, which is bad. They need to really reduce the base time of Deep Wound on Legion's power. THEN DW would be a real threat.

Ah my friend,
A man (or woman) of culture indeed
Unfortunately for you, because the rest of Lauries perks are toxic and overperforming, I dont think sole survivor will be getting any love.
Sadly the likely scenario. I do hope they're fixing it. If not, I be the big sad.

Doctor didnt really go up the tier list at all with his rework. His map got worse, he got new chase music, and static blast is cool I guess.
Doctor is a low rank stomping machine. and your inability to cope with him really suggests your level of skill.
As a killer main, I do not play doctor past rank 10, because survs will punish you too hard for it.
So, in the words of entitled survivor mains such as yourself "git gud"
This tier list junk needs to stop when it needs to come about how good a killer is. It depends on the player entirely if they are good with said killer or not. I can mop red ranks with Doc anytime ;)

From the studio that brought you Clown "who is fine btw", Pig "who needs more nerfs btw", and Legion "who is in a good spot btw", we give you...
Deathslinger "who doesn't need post-PTB tweaks btw"!
Clown and Legion ARE good tho. Youbmeed to know what you are doing when playing them.
-
There are ways to avoid Shock Therapy, Static Blast can be countered by being outside of his TR or lockers. If you know you are gonna get shocked in a loop, don't stand by the pallet thinking you're good. Doctor is an average killer at best when you have the knowledge required to best him in trials.

The issue is the that has a similar statement to what thrill of the hunt and hunting grounds have.
They are band Aid perk fixes to the totem problem. If you don't have those perks or can't make room for them on your build you're still essentially running into the exact same problem.
The idea that I was trying to bring up was a baseline punishment to make actually destroying a totem and take away one of The Killers perks be at risk that you have to be cautious about taking regardless of if the killer has x combinations or not.
Hex combinations like haunted grounds, thrill of the hunt and the new retribution will make this baseline a lot stronger but at least at that stage the killer would have a choice whether they want to increase the dangers of destroying the totem or not
I'd say it could be too much if totem punishments like instadowns were basekit, which is why I love Hex: Retribution's concept. If there was one thing I would make basekit, it would be to simply increase the time required to cleanse (which can result in a fair Thrill of the Hunt nerf)

but either way its unfair to have a killer action override survivor there should be an equal opportunity.
The killer and survivor have a direct priority over the fate of the endgame. You either find the hatch first and escape, or the killer finds it and decides wether they should close it without hesitation, or test to see if the survivor is playing immersive near hatch or sitting at one of the gates. Nothing is wrong with that.

DS doesn't even counter tunneling. If anything, it encourages the killer to eat the stuns early on so they don't become a free escape during the end game.
And please don't give me that laughable excuse about "not being forced to eat the stun". That's like saying you're not forced to save a team mate and get exposed by MYC. It's your direct objective, and the perk punishes you for deciding to complete it efficiently.
Anti-tunnel type perks like DS exist for the very reason of how you decided to play as killer. Take the stun and waste more of your time, or be much more productive and find someone else. Done deal.
-
Lack of red rank killers throws off matchmaking severely
Swf throws off the pool of players the game is looking for between parties and solos, resulting in taking ages to find a game that has space for anyone because there is probably not that many who play solo.
-
What port do you even play on to experience frequent crashes? I'm on PS4 and never had this problem. This sounds more like a system issue than a game issue.
-
A post like this exists when Deathslinger has a hex that has some NASTY combinations with other hex perks to punish survivors.
-
Noed needs to stop being talked about because there are ways around it that entitled survivor mains ignore.
After Kindred was buffed, I don't think the basekit idea is really necessary anymore.
-
Cannibal is really strong in the right hands. It is just unfortunate that everyone thinks he's designed to face camp every person he hooks.

Yo mind me asking for demo tips? Everytime i play him I get bullied.
I do just fine as Myers and Legion (my mains) but in red ranks I tend to be destroyed as Demo, I did watch a good Pouncing guide and its helped alot, but still I tend to get gen rushed because I cant keep pressure up.
Use portals as a sense of gen control by placing them close enough to generators, which I always place them to the closest at start, but don't entirely commit to placing all immediately. Active portals seem to get the survivors' attention to see that you are monitoring if they are within detection range/on a gen. This can create a slowdown by distracting them off generators and on your portals. Tactics like this work well and even better with the portal seal progress speed add-ons.
Shred only if you need to and can w/ confidence and timing.
Using add-ons to increase the undetectable status can help get the jump on survivors that are near an unnoticed portal that should be placed at an unpredictable location near the gen they're on.
Hopefully, this helps.
-
Survivor mains could complain about killer "crutch perks", yet you could look at their builds, and see that they use all the meta perks.
The hypocrisy is strong with this community.

Or put pig next to GF. I don't see how a former junkie is any smarter than a hardened narcissistic serial killer, although her best sense of intelligence would be her knowledge of traps and stealth, so that evens it out I suppose lol.

No.
I've purchased every single DLC and have cosmetics for nearly every character, but I won't spend money on this game anymore because of the awful dedicated servers. Truly game breaking.
Your ping and the killer's ping is the biggest issue, not the servers.
-
Got it done within 3 games. Play smart, avoid the killer as much as possible, try looking for hatch after 1-2 gens remain with 1sacrificed. I did all this while sneaking a key with Ash's wooden hand blending the key with it.
-
I was expecting more of a damaged wall look rather than a killer creating a perfect rectangular door entrance lol
