I like this meme.

me when i loaded it up and saw comic sans
You stole that from twitter, didn’t you?
Also, on mobile, it’s not Comic Sans? Not too sure what it is, but it ain’t Sans.
-
I’m afraid a mere “we are aware” isn’t enough anymore. Something needs to happen, and for BHVR’s standards, it needs to happen right now.
-
This is tripping me up on mobile. The “General Discussions” has moved down a line.
-
There’s also a fine line between being bad, and being screwed out of something time and time again.
-
Fairly regularly, actually. Roughly the same amount as Nemesis, I reckon.

Can’t unsee. This is for a kids show?!
It's called Mr. Blobby. Not being British I don't have much experience with it myself, but I hear it sparked fear in children across the land.
-
It might be the majority, but I think the more accurate term would be "play killer regularly". The vast majority of forum regulars play as both sides, as far as I know.
-
To the surprise of only the ones that read far too much into the image of a newspaper.

Plague is oldest lady of game, that's all i know and that's all i care.
Depends on what you view as her age. Her physical age when she got snatched and rendered immortal, or the abstract age based on the time she was taken in?

And for people that are sensitive to strobing lights?
The game doesn't have an epilepsy warning, to my knowledge.
It does since the Ring chapter, actually.

The "Hold W" strategy is not a problem.
-
I've said it before and I'll say it again, and most likely will have to repeat it later.
THESE ARE JOKES. THEY'RE NOT TEASERS OF ANY KIND.
-
My sleep deprived eyes read this all sorts of wrong, wow.
Cheers, though! Have a teen version of the first bird that I could come up with.
(these are not my hands, I do not know whose hands these are.)

Presumably, it's next week.

I'm by no means against it. I just feel it should happen organically rather than as a box to be checked off.
How would it happen "organically" in your view? The inclusion of a (playable) queer character is not going to go unnoticed, regardless of whether it's advertised or not.
-
Those newspaper thingies were just not clues, though. Like, not even attempted red herrings. They were jokes. Simple as that.
-
Also, small question.
If they were to add a non-binary character, would they use the masculine or feminine animations? I don't see them introducing an entirely new run cycle for 1 survivor, but I don't know if that would be problematic.

It's been a year or two since they've said that so i'm pretty sure that was just another lie. I'm tired of the devs pretending they care about the gay community, it's insulting.
If they actually cared about gay representation, there wuold be at least 2-3 gay characters by now.
As small as it is, the current tome, specifically the very last entry for "Things in the Fog" has two male characters who are implied to be in a relationship.
-
Still needs sloppy or, god forbid, an add-on to apply it.

Gonna take a wild guess and say that this is the tutorial.

I used to go by "WishIHadAFridge", something my brother came up with back in 2012 when both of us bought Minecraft. It didn't really have a story behind it, my brother just typed it in when I was stumped over usernames and pressed enter before I could stop him. People then often commented how they found my name funny, so I kept it. It then was abbreviated into Wishy, or Fridge, depending on what caught on first.
Skip to, say, 2017-18, when Don't Starve had its heyday for me. One of the characters, Wilson, goes by the title "Gentleman Scientist", which is essentially a scientist that works independently of any official institution. (Independent scientist - Wikipedia). Around the same time, I had a bit of a stereotypical quasi-posh British phase, largely inspired by Professor Layton. His "gentleman-liness" was, for the lack of a better description, the basis for my online persona.
It would then be on a DST server that I played on (and sort-of moderate to this day) that someone asked "What are you?" And as I was playing as Wilson at the time, I replied: A Gentleman Fridge.
And, suffice it to say, that resonated with me.
-
Starting with the tome that dropped around Slinger’s release, survivor challenges in particular have me struggling.
Can’t “survive while X other survivors escape” if said survivors suicide because they face a sodding Wraith.
-
My guess would be the fifth of april. For the sole reason that there hasn’t been a dev update yet.
-
If the cheater doesn’t render me entirely immortal, then it’s whatever makes the match finish the quickest. I could also finish up my challenge if possible and then just watch what happens from a distance.

are they temporarily banned? If so I guess they would be happy about a few notifications ;) (also they would need a name change..)
Given that the account was created and last active on february 2nd, presumably also banned that same day and by the looks of it is still banned, I doubt we'll see them coming back.
As for the topic, I also have to go with OniMacaroni.

Wonder if you will hide inside @GentlemanFridge ?
…and now I made things even weirder. Sorry I am tired.
If it means standing a chance against the father, son, and holy spirit, I am willing to shelter anyone and anything.
Can’t guarantee everyone could fit, though.
-
Hm. Dunno how well a fridge stands up against, well, anyone.
-
Am I the only one that really struggles to hear her Lullaby? I know it’s almost identical to the noise she hears herself when demanifested, but I cannot for the life of me hear it as survivor.

False, actually. Its shows up like BBQ, but not because of it.

I don't want to ruin the party, but I am pretty sure it will not look this good in the game (even on ultra settings).
These are just special renders, not screenshots from the game.
All other screenshots on the site are in-game so these are likely in-game as well. Granted, they're likely on the highest settings, but they are in-game.
-
Woah. They really pulled all the stops for this one, huh? Bravo.

It is so good with Pop. But i still don't know is this perk works on multiple gens same time.
It does work on multiple gens at the same time. It’s a bit confusing with how the countdown works, but it does work.

Character portraits would be better. That would also make it substantially easier to see who you're talking to in post-game chat.
-
As depressing at it sounds, you have to get used to it. At some point, it becomes fairly meaningless.
That's not to say that it will never get to you once you reach that point. Nobody is made of stone. Still, it's probably for the best to quit your session then and there. You'll just get frustrated even more if you continue playing.
Of course, actual slurs are just straight-up bannable, so if they start throwing those you have an easy bye-bye button.
-
This one of those things that are so integral to the "I have now seen everything" feel that I am still missing out on. From flying, hatchet-hurling Ghostfaces, to getting stuck in the corner of the hill, I have never seen this. Not once.
-
Ok so for me:
Wraith and Spirit and switched;
Legion and Trickster have disappeared off the face of the earth;
Pig is fairly common but that's likely because of the tome;
Slinger has been played surprisingly often.
Beyond that, it's remarkably balanced who I verse. That is, outside of the "big three" plus Bubba being as promiment as ever, of course.

It does really suck that BHVR doesn't have any kind of a "rejoin game" function for when you get popped out for only a few seconds
But until that does exist, a DC is a DC no matter the cause behind it unfortunately
Thing is, DbD matches are too short for that to be helpful. As survivor, you give the team such a massive disadvantage that the killer likely already has turned the match in their favour, and coming back to it would be futile.
As killer, that requires leaving a match on hold for 4 other players who have to either pause the game, which nobody wants, or just do gens and leave.
-
Probably not in a long time, if ever. As far as I know, most consoles don’t allow a “beta branch” like Steam.
-
Only thing I’m expecting is the Legion/GF changes with their perks seeing buffs. Maaaaybe the return of Haddonfield.
The rest is still another “cycle” away, if patterns are to repeat themselves.
-
Nah, I’m good. It’ll only result in more “give us legacy 2.0!!”.

That's a pretty narrow definition of Narcissism. It goes beyond just admiring yourself too mcuh.
I believe its etymology lies in the legend of Narcissus. A guy (could be a god, dunno) who fell in love with himself. I really don't think that's the word you're looking for here.

body is 1 character too short

Took me a grand while to figure out what "wife a skillcheck" meant.

Just because it was worse in the past doesn’t mean it isn’t bad now.

haha I laugh at people who are saying DBD is a chill, casual party game lol. PVP was never meant to be party game
Technically, Mario Party can be played PvP. Is that not, by its very name, a party game?
-
Tilting the opponent.
The true mindgame.
-
Ah yes, newspapers. 'Cause those can't be in reference to everything that ever featured a newspaper, something commonly used to distribute news in fiction.
And reality too, lest we forget.
-
It’s not just a solution to the grind though. It’s also the removal of arbitrary limitations when it comes to perk design. Every perk currently has to has some kind of modifier with its tiers, a substantial amount of which are negligible.
They could just make a perk:
Instantly slam a totem into the ground as killer.
And that’s all. No cooldowns, no “takes 3/4/5 seconds to do so”. It just does a thing.
-
In the current tome, there are these weird ALL CAPS LINES AT THE BEGINNING OF NEW PARAGRAPHS that are really strange.
