Yes, it can. It can be argued that actual gen rush doesn't happen as often as most people say it does, but it definitely is a thing.
-
Yes.
-
Yeah, sure. But if you really want to do this, then Iron Grasp must return to its original version:
Overall, it is not a good idea to have something that completely removes the killer's objective (otherwise Old Saboteur would still be a thing), and if such change were to go through it would require some sort of counter.
In conclusion, you get a new Breakdown and we get old Iron Grasp. It is a fair trade.
-
I don't think anyone here has "potential" to be a killer, but I believe it would be better in the long run.
Think about it: if you are a survivor you are forever stuck in a mysterious real where you have to endure an insane amount of pain every single trial (hooks, chainsaw, brutal attacks, knives, claws, and the list goes on). As a killer, you can avoid most of the torture if you go to the trials willingly.
Yes, you still need to get a decent result, in order to avoid displeasing the Entity, but at least you aren't going to get hurt every time.
-
I wouldn't. Tombstone Piece is fine.
-
I would like to see an event similar to Scorching Summer BBQ and Howling Grounds, where we hook people and complete gens to get cosmetics.
-
Don't worry, my friend. We all make mistakes, and the important thing is that you've acknowledged them. Not many people can do that, you know?
Here, have a bear to celebrate. No, better yet... 2 Bears!

I used it all the time when playing him, took me forever to level everyone back up but when I got done with the survivors and done with Ghostface I forgot to level freddy up and I got so sad
That is rough, buddy. Hope you can get your P3 Freddy back.

Yay! Good job, my friend :)

I remember back when I had his P3, then I got a save error before his rework and lost it
Bloody love his P3
I am sorry for you, my friend. I've heard a lot about those save errors, and they sound very frustrating.
And yes, his P3 skin is amazing!
-
That sad moment when your main is the only killer in the game who doesn't have a single cosmetic :(
At least Prestige looks nice:

The entity is very cruel.
Indeed it is... or not.

In my opinion, QwQw, Yords, ClownIsKing, HugeBush, GoodBoyKaru and maybe Boss seem like the only people on this entity forsaken site that deserve this level of attention that I've seen. They seen to be the nicest and most level headed veterans of the site.
I didn't really mean anything by that, just wanted to voice my opinion.
Also, why are random commenters getting more upvotes than the person being actually interviewed?
*Cries in lack of attention*
Just kidding. As a matter of fact, everyone you've mentioned truly deserve such attention.

The thing is, DBD is "balanced" around 4 solo survivors and the killer. That is why we have perks that give the player select amounts of information, such as Bond and Alert.
That is precisely why SWF is an unsolvable problem. The lack of information is built into the core of the game and using comms is a huge advantage, where it shouldn't be. In order to balance it, we would have to buff solo q and then buff pretty much the entire killer roaster, which is not a good idea, in my opinion.
-
A change for Fire Up? I have an idea. It is called: "Reject modernity, embrace tradition".
Fire Up
The increased pressure of losing your preys fills you with anger and gives you unsuspected motivation.
Each time the Survivors complete repairs on a Generator, Fire Up grows in power and grants a speed bonus to pick up, drop, Pallet break, Generator damage and vaults.
- 2 Tokens: receive 6/8/10 % action speed bonus.
- 3 Tokens: receive 8/10/12 % action speed bonus.
- 4 Tokens: receive 10/12/14 % action speed bonus.

Dude, you just brought a nearly 3 year old thread back from the dead.
Why let the past die?

I play on PC with a controller, because my mouse and keyboard are old, outdated, and not made for gaming purposes. I love Huntress, and consider her my "secondary main", but I have to agree with what you've said here. She is super fun to play, yet painful sometimes.

@GeneralV its been about a year since it came out
Yeah, it is at least 6 months. Not precisely 6 months. But worry not, I am sure you will be able to buy it soon!

After at least 6 months, if I am not mistaken.

Ok, I think I should translate what he said. Here it goes:
"Hello
I would like to know if there is the possibility of changing platform
I currently have the game and some DLCs on the GamePass (PC)
I would like to migrate to Steam, without losing my Bloodpoints and DLCs
Is this possible?"
He is speaking in Portuguese, by the way.
-
Oi, bem-vindo ao Fórum do DBD. Até onde eu saiba, as opções de transição de plataforma não estão disponíveis ainda, e não há nenhuma data confirmada.
^English translation for mods and other users: Hello, welcome to the Forums. As far as I know, cross-progression is not available yet, and there is no ETA.
-
You shouldn't.
-
-Reduce her Terror Radius to 28 metres, as it used to be.
-Traps during the EGC are instantly activated
-Increased movement speed while crouched.
-
If possible, I would love to do it.

I mean in fairness, old Freddy had a 50% action speed debuff in the Dream World and could have been increased with old Swing Chains and Jump Rope.
Ah, the memories. Back then, Swing Chains was a Rare, Green add-on. Good old times.

I could be on board with this change
Same. Here, take a look:
-
Nah, BT is fine as it is. Unless you want to revert it back to its original version, which protected both survivors but could only be used once. I can understand such change.
Otherwise, the perk is fine.
-
I think Pig is very underrated.

Because Plague is overused and infecting the Exit Game switches is clearly an OP tactic.

On what world do you live in to believe that this game is balanced around soloqueue?
Going against soloqueuers is a faceroll, and I'm not even carried around by gen regression perks
First of all, DBD isn't balanced. Never was.
Second, the devs intention is to balance the game around solo queue, because balancing it towards SWF would make the solo experience miserable.
And just because you are going against 4 solos, it doesn't mean a free victory. I rarely play with friends, so most of my survivor experience has been in solo queue, and I've seen countless effective teammates and great plays.

I was here right before that.
That's nice! It took me a few more months to enter the Fog, to be honest. When I first started playing, Legion was the newest killer.

Haha, 2018 gang is much better, my friend. No pallet vacuum for us ;)
Edit: Ok, I just remembered that Curtain Call released on June, so... No pallet vacuum for some of us.

I'd say in this case it is reportable as it hinders regular gameplay.
It isn't reportable. A mod confirmed it.

As an Old Freddy main, this is a very interesting concept, especially the 5 seconds Dream Transition.
However, 25% debuff sounds a bit weak, in my opinion. The thing about Old Freddy, was that his Dream World was very powerful, but as a survivor you were not there all the time. 40% or 45% is the way to go.
Otherwise, great concept! It always pleases me to see my old main getting the love he rightfully deserved. And, as always:

I've been here for close to 3 years, I'm either insane or insanely optimistic at this point.
2018 gang, right? We truly are the Fog's finest.
And I think we are either insanely optimistic, or we just hope that, somehow, the game will fix itself.

I've been there. Hell, last night I was in a game where I was getting my ass clapped so hard, I reached for the DC 3 times but thought better of it.
You gotta deal with these bad games from time to time. I told myself "Screw it, 2/3 of this playerbase I can walk all over because about half of them quit, just play this one out and you'll get your turn next game."
I was right.....
Agreed. Sometimes you just have to deal with some really bad games.
With the upcoming Freddy nerfs I am trying to get used to Huntress again, who I consider to be my "secondary main". But I haven't played her in a very, very long time and recent trials have been extremely painful.

I mean, big maps aren't a problem for killers with great mobility like Freddy, but they are absolutely awful for all the other killers.
They are nothing more than a walking simulator and that's just super boring
Yeah, I know how frustrating it can be. But what annoys me isn't the "walking simulator", because I like big maps. What annoys me is having to deal with strong tiles and safe pallets after the "walking simulator".
-
No, it is not.
-
Honestly, I would love to see Lady Dimitrescu here.
-
The thing is, DBD is "balanced" around 4 solo survivors and the killer. That is why we have perks that give the player select amounts of information, such as Bond and Alert.
That is why SWF is an unsolvable problem. Using comms is a huge advantage, where it shouldn't be. So if the killer doesn't want to play an unfair match, let him dodge.

Yeah too bad Mother’s Dwelling has great loops, all gens are spaced out, etc. So it’s just a slog of a match
@GannTM said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2114741#Comment_2114741
Mother’s Dwelling has the unpleasant combo of being really big and has many safe loops. Shelter Woods I believe is the second biggest below Mother’s Dwelling but there’s not that many loops on that map so it’s not that big of a deal.
Agreed. They just need to make its loops weaker (from main building to general tiles) and the map will be balanced.
-
@GannTM said:
It doesn’t make any sense why that map is as big as it is
It may be an unpopular opinion, but I actually like bigger maps. I think they look nice and are healthy for the game.
However, in order to balance it, I believe its loops should be weaker, so the amount of additional time it takes for the killer to find you is compensated by the shorter amount of time it will take for you to go down.
-
I guess you can say that the hype is REal...
-
HELL YEAH, I GOT THIS ONE RIGHT! THE HYPE IS REAL!

I'm not particularly surprised that most people who are actually going "give us back old Freddy" are people with high post counts. They're typically responsible for some of the worst takes of these forums.
"Old Freddy was unique" might actually be one of the most poor reasons for bringing back who was considered THE WORST Killer in the game. Sure, he was "unique"... in that he was the worst killer.
"Bring back old Freddy"? Absolutely not. Everyone was happy for good reason since Freddy was no longer in the special F tier.
I think the high post count means some sort of dedication, to be honest.
Edit: Alright, I just realised I posted this comment without finishing it. If you allow me:
I think it is safe to say that most of us here are Old Freddy. We spent countless hours trying to master him, to prove that he wasn't the weakest killer in the game. And then, after finally accomplishing that, our killer gets replaced with a much less fun version. This isn't right.
Old Freddy was decent if you knew how to use his power properly. He was unique when compared to the rest of the roaster, and he was way more fun to play as than the current Freddy, who is getting nerfed by the way.
We want our old killer back.
-
Mr.X, Nemesis or Dimitrescu. It has to be one of those 3.
-
The killer is probably going to be Mr.X, Nemesis or Dimitrescu. And despite my personal preference towards Dimitrescu, I am fine with either one of them.
-
They have to. There are literally countless options.
