Yes.

that actually brings up another question does the flashbang affect spirit while she's in phase mode.
I literally have no idea. I barely play Spirit, so I never had the chance to test it.
I am sure someone will, eventually.

im probably going to run high mobility killers to just push through the flashbangs and use surge to avoid being blast mine-d as much as possible
That is the spirit!

Same goes for Flashbangs, btw. And yes, I will be running Lightborn as soon as the chapter releases.

But to be fair (and I like you so don't take this personally) your argument reveals a bias. You basically said "it was great for killers, now it's great for survivors, so now it sucks".
I pretty much only ever see killer mains complaining about it, which tells me that they just don't like that it's harder for them to get kills. That's a perfectly valid complaint, but it's also a one-sided one. That said, I would still be fine with them cutting back on the number of pallets if that made the map more fair. I like it because of just about everything else, I hate the looping crap so pallets mean little to me.
Apologies, I've expressed myself poorly. I don't dislike the map because it is harder for me to get kills. I dislike it because I don't like the reworked graphics and because it reaches an insane level when it comes to pallets.
If I recall correctly, The Game can reach about 24 pallets, and some of them are completely safe. Revert the graphical changes, adjust the number of pallets, and the map is perfect.
-
Wait, wasn't there a comment of mine on this thread?
-
Unfortunately, I don't think I've ever played with or against a fellow Forum member. Unless it was someone who uses different names.
Edit:
And by the way, if any of you ever see a: "Hex: General V" in-game, make sure to say hello! I would appreciate it!
Edit 2:
So, apparently I've played against @PureDoctorMain before, and even though I do not recall it, I am positive it was a very good trial!

I actually don't. Do you mean the devs or survivors? I don't know when the map was changed but I've enjoyed it for the last three months, as long as I've been playing.
I mean the thing I hate most: The Realm Beyond.
The Game was once one of the deadliest maps in DBD. A paradise for stealth killers, and a very good map for the rest of the roster (except Oni and Billy).
If you want to look at the past:
Now, it is literally Pallet Town 2.0 For context, Blood Lodge used to be called Pallet Town because of its sheer amount of pallets. A trait which The Game now shares.
-
On most maps, finding a Totem is like playing Where's Waldo, with Waldo standing on a white room by himself.
-
@miketheratguy said:

I'd be totally fine with them reducing the amount of pallets by half. I'd still love the map. Maybe they can try that and see if killers like it more.
Well, I used to love The Game. It was once a paradise for stealth killers. Now it is Pallet Town 2.0
You already know who is to blame...
-
I just realised that no one here mentioned Badham, and now that I thought about it, I almost never get it myself. Which is very weird since, for some reason, there are 5 five of them.

Yeah, now that I think about it, 20% seems better.
Glad to see that you agree :)
As long as the effects of Patch 1.8.1 do not apply (his first nerf), this is literally a perfect version of Freddy!

I don't main him, but...
Change to The Nightmare.
- Survivors who are awake do not see or hear The Nightmare.
- Once targeted by The Nightmare's Power, Survivors enter the Dream Transition for 7 seconds.
- During the Dream Transition they can see The Nightmare intermittently.
- During the Dream Transition, survivors suffer from the Incapacitated status effect.
- When the Dream Transition has elapsed, the Survivor is pulled into the Dream World.
Once in the Dream World:
- Survivors' Auras are revealed to The Nightmare whenever they are outside of his Terror Radius.
- Survivors suffer an Action speed penalty of -40%.
- To exit the Dream World, Survivors can find other non-sleeping Survivors to perform a Wake-up action.
- Failed Skill Checks can wake up the Survivor.
- Getting hooked wakes up the Survivor.
SPECIAL ABILITY: Dream Projection
Press and hold the Active Ability button to perform a Dream Projection and teleport to a Generator in view.
Releasing the button early will cancel the action.
For each Survivor in the Dream World, the cool-down of using Dream Projection is reduced by a stack-able 15%.
I think a stack-able 20% would be a little bit better. I mean, since you have to manually pull survivors into the Dream World, I don't see a reason not to increase the reduction.
Otherwise, perfect concept!
-
First reduce the Ream Beyond to atoms, and then we can talk about nuking Swamp.

It was a really competitive game. I never see the Twins so I was happy about that to begin with, and even though it was on...sigh...Rotten Fields for the 400th time this week it was still lots of fun. I don't care if I win or lose, it's the match itself and this was a really solid one. Back and forth with close calls but no deaths...until the ULTIMATE death, lol. Man, she must have been in her glory watching us all just plain expire. It really was a great play. GREAT play. We all won, hard. Until we lost, even harder. LOL
I tried to make some post-game chat but everyone either moved on or was on console and couldn't see. Bummer.
Do you use Blood Warden a lot? If I were confident in my ability to hook a survivor at my leisure that would be a really, really good killer perk.
I don't use it a lot, not anymore. But, back when EGC didn't exist, it almost never left my build. Since everyone opened the doors immediately, the perk was pretty much guaranteed to work every single time. O course it was up to you to capitalise on it and kill survivors, but the effect was there.

@miketheratguy said:

Lol I was stunned, man. I'm only a couple thousand games in but in those couple thousand games I'd never seen that perk used, EVER. Not once. I'm still learning and since I'm not familiar with a lot of killers yet (haven't even unlocked Freddy, I'm waiting on some of these killers until I get better at the simpler ones) so Blood Warden is completely foreign to me. So here's how it went down, bullet point style:
- Competitive game against the Twins of all characters. That's actually really cool. Also saw Jonathan for the first time, but not up close.
- Game goes for a good ten minutes, lots of close calls and unhooks / heals, then we get the first exit gate open with all 4 still alive. Three of us are at one and could have won the match by 75 percent, but just then one of us goes down.
- Like WWII heroes, we ain't havin' it. We all turn and rush to his rescue. But now Twinny is camping the slugged comrade. Everyone tries, no one's getting him. It's at this point that I run to the other exit gate, knowing that surely the other three will have gotten him by the time I get the door open. It's a brilliant plan. We'll all get medals.
- They got him up! My exit gate is half open but they don't know that so the other three start running back to the other gate. Ah well, I'll continue anyway because now The Twins are chasing them.
- Crap, she slugged someone again. The other two have given up and are now heading to the first gate. About 30 seconds left on the EGC.
- My gate opens. It's blocked. Huh?
- Incredible symphony of quadri-death
- "What the hell just happened?!??!"
- I check the wiki. "Blood Warden activates automatically when the first exit gate opens. Uh, okay, that didn't happen though.
- I make thread.
- I read the description again. "OHHHH. It activates. It just...well, DOESN'T activate. Not until the exit gate is opened AND someone is hooked, which is what happened when the rest of us were trying to get out. Lame. But great play by the Twins. Respect.
Damn, very well played by the Twins. Also, you and your team did your best. That is what matters :)
Blood Warden is a perk that helped me countless times, especially because I started with Freddy (still is my main, btw). And there were many times it was used against me.
I remember all too well when I got caught off-guard by an Old Freddy with Blood Warden, during the Moonrise event, when I was trying to escape with me Lunar Vessel. I mean, I was literally playing against my main, so I thought I was going to be able to read him like a book and escape easily. Oh my friend, if only I knew...

Some perks have had theirs go away over the years it's weird
It sure is. Tinkerer is missing it, if I am not mistaken. A Nurse's Calling got its flavour text changed a long time ago. DS is missing it. Adrenaline. And many others.
-
@miketheratguy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2241660#Comment_2241660
It is? Really? I hadn't noticed.
For what it's worth, the short version: Never saw the escape gates close, ever, and was confounded. All 4 survivors died. Read the wiki, said that the perk automatically activates when an exit gate is opened. Max duration is 1 minute, but our gate was open a good while longer than that. It made no sense. Upon reading the wiki more closely I realized that while the perk activates upon EGC, it does not actually TAKE EFFECT until the killer has hooked someone. So, long story short, three of us could have survived when we opened the gate together but our altruism killed all four of us because we couldn't get the final survivor, who was being camped, and then after the killer hooked him that was it for all of us.
The perk's wording could be clearer, lol.
Yeah, BW is always a nice surprise. I miss the good ole' days when there was no EGC and I could actually use this perk on most trials.
Also, where is its flavour text in-game? Where is this quote?
-
Before this gets closed, I would like to point out that this perk is missing its flavour text and that is sad.

Patch 4.1.2 was bad.
The addons they gave him are mostly bad with a few new interesting ones. Did we forget the original mothers helpers increased movement speed with a flashlight shined on him. They’re still in need of attention:
Agreed, remove the heat dissipation addons. Increase to four turn speed addons. Three charge time. Three engravings. A better big buckle option that actually works with his power.
Fewer penalties for bringing addons.
Agreed. Charge time might be a little bit dangerous because of old insta-saw, but we can worry about that later. The most important thing to do is revert his nerf.
It is the right thing to do. It is the only logical thing to do.
-
In my opinion, what Billy truly needs is his overheat mechanic gone. Reduced to atoms. And perhaps another add-on pass, because some of them are tied to this horrible mechanic.
Nerfing Dead by Daylight's most balanced killer was one of the worst decisions I've ever seen. The only "OP" thing about Old Billy was insta-saw, and even that can be debatable.

Depends on the map. Indoor maps can have some really sneaky spawns that survivors may never find unless they are running a perk like Detective's Hunch.
If you get lucky. And it is like, one sneaky Totem spot while the others are just bad.
-
@Crowman said:
Some hex totems are in theory useful. But the fact that the hex totem being cleansed removes all effects the perk has makes them hard to justify when they are very easy to remove.
Finding a Totem feels like playing Where's Waldo, with Waldo standing on a white room by himself.

And I haven't seen requests to nerf this guy...why?
It is because Bubba used to be one of the weakest killers in the game, whose only advantage was being able to down multiple people in a single attack.

I almost spit out my drink laughing at this LOL.
If there was ever a single image that displays Solo queue, this is it lol. But it would be perfect if one of those survivors had disconnected. Then it would be *chef's kiss*
One of them did, actually. The one guy who had Unbreakable, got up, and downed again immediately. Of course he decided to DC.
Thankfully, the Spirit had mercy and that massacre transformed into a farming match. It could've ended very badly for us.

Use Paint Brush xD with Monitor and Abuse and you could see auras from like 5 feet away xD that survivor wasn't mindgaming ######### xD those were the days. Like a scarier version of Tier 1 Myers xD
Ah yes, back when Red Paint Brush reduced your movement speed. This combo was devastating on Lery's.
But one of my favourite add-ons was Pill Bottle. No glimpses during the Transition was basically a free hit 100% of the time.

Incapacitated would have been great for old Freddy. It would have made him able to protect his hexes and gens.
Precisely. It would be the perfect buff. Together with Dream Projection, of course.
Old Freddy with mobility would be sweet.
