Yes. Please appreciate her just for today.

BHVR, how do you ######### this up of all things?

Thank you spirit for all this salt we have received. May your character forever be a free easy win (like SWFs).
What does being in Florida have anything to do with being good at a game?
-
I would like an original map as well. A lot of the licensed maps ended up unpleasant to play on and/or is super unbalanced.

Thanks friend, and I definitely agree! I'd purchase the Seaweed outfit and do a little mix and match if I played her more often 😛 Love the bubbles that appear with the outfit pieces!
It’s a shame that cosmetic costs money. I’m trying to save money right now but I’m so tempted to buy it.

@Hippie said:
Her gameplay might need a tweak, but she definitely has great cosmetics, especially her Nyx and Seaweed outfits! And her archive outfit too!

That’s a cool combination right there. I’ve tried many combinations on her and she really does have a lot of good cosmetics.

Indeed. Though when it comes to Spirit people get extra salty, for some reason.
I get why they don’t like playing against her but yeah.

Yeah, imagine... It is sad that it still happens, but that is the DBD community for ya.
It was a little bit less severe in the past, but it still happened. At least in my experience.
Yeah I’ve gotten my fair share of salt. It can happen with anything in the game, not just Spirit.

Yep. I don't mention it very often, because some people might get a little angry, but it is true.
Imagine getting angry at someone for playing as a specific killer.
-
People didn’t know how to utilize him at first and he was super janky before. Now that people understand the depth of him, he’s very strong in the right hands.

I appreciate sometimes how easy it can be to fool a Spirit in a chase and watch them walk off in the wrong direction, looking behind trees and rocks or searching in lockers, hoping to find me.
I also appreciate how they don't expect Spine Chill and use their power to come to my gen, hoping to get a grab, only to find no one, not knowing I'm watching them with glee from the safety of a bush. Makes me giggle when I see them trying to be clever and walk off only to immediately come back with their power and still not be able to find me, all while two gens pop in the distance.
Not sure if I consider this appreciating Spirit but I guess I’ll take it.

My girlfriend doesn't understand anything about DBD but for some reason she really likes seeing me playing Spirit. She says she loves seeing her fingers twerking anytime she enters phase and the sounds she makes.
Who wouldn’t like watching Spirit gameplay?
@GeneralV said:
"The Spirit drifts into the night, her wild windswept hair dancing in the dark."
Oh, sweet sweet Spirit, how can most people hate this killer while I hold her so close to my heart?
Not sure if I ever told you this, my friend, but I mained Spirit for some time. She was one of the reasons why I didn't leave DBD after Freddy's rework dropped.
And I am very grateful for that.
EDIT:
I even have this screenshot that I've found. Not sure when its from, but it is nice to have this little moment of the past recorded.
Oh really? I didn’t know. I’m glad to hear that :)

I mean I would expect boon totems to be strong if they can be destroyed like hexes.

How are you feeling today? Honestly?
I actually feel good today. I went to a tutor session for chemistry class and feel good about the material and currently at lunch. Thanks for asking!

Are you talking about with what DBD mobile does where every killer has the same amount of offerings that were purchased?

Here

Sorry I’m not choosing between Meg and Claudette.

It’s a good thing it doesn’t work well. A good functioning SBMM in this game wouldn’t be good for the game.

I could say the same to you, my friend (:

Honestly I can genuinely relate to you.
I'm a loner in the outside world, which is why I try to have discussions with people on here, people that like DBD like me. It's my method of coping, as well as talking to online friends.
Also, it's okay to lash out sometimes, I get aggressive at times but we always feel regret about it, don't worry about it too much.
And finally, don't be afraid to talk to any friends! I'm sure they care about you, and won't hesitate to be there for you. And don't be afraid to talk to the people here either, many of us are really cool people, for instance, @QwQw is a really nice fella once you get to know him.
I'm glad you're getting better, and believe it or not, I'm 100% there's people out there that care for you. I'm not good at this stuff but... yeah.
Oh yeah, I’ve met a lot of people on the forums and I’ve met so many cool people, including you. That is a positive in my life and is in fact a major positive. Never thought joining the forums would impact me this way, but it has and I just love and am grateful to be here. ❤️

Its understandable nobody can expect you to be calm all the time, so please don't worry about it I'm just glad that its calmer and not as negative anymore and I am really happy you have a good support system, please I know it's not nice to say this, but if you are feeling like doing something like that, think about the people in your life that love you and care for you. They are there for you and they would be crushed if anything were to happen to you, people may not show it sometimes, but you do matter to them and if you were to disappear it would only bring pain and grief.
Many things in life can be hard, but those should be moved past on and a focus should be on the thing that brings joy to you, I know that this may be a bit confusing, but my point is you should focus on the things that make you happy instead of focusing on the things that make you sad. Things will get better and it's important to remember that the bad is never there to stay unless you make it stay, things do get better and will get better for you it just takes time like most things.
Again sorry if what I said was a bit confusing.
You’re absolutely right. No need to apologize for saying it. It really pains me that I felt that way, because I do have people in my life that care for me and they would be very heartbroken if something did happen to me. If I do think that way again then it’s best to keep them in mind.

If you have to output this topic, yes, you're depressed. But its far better than people who doesnt know they're depressed. Most of time because one stuck in a routine they dont like, or feeling worthless. Gaming is only to reduce stress & find some peace, except gaming nowaday not really bring full happiness since we all play pvp that one side supposed to lose. One way to stay away from depression is having a hobby or two, enrich your inside, you will feel you're worth and you will find your happiness.
Im glad that I was aware of my own since early years and still keep it to this day. Without them I cant image where I stand today.

I've never been good with comforting people, but I'll try my hardest.
If you're feeling down, just try to keep your chin up and remember that the sun will shine again. There are people that care about and love you.
Also, If you need to vent to me or talk to me or anything, I'll be here.
@bjorksnas said:
Emotions are a balance the fact that you feel sad now just means you are able to feel a lot happier later on, so its both a blessing and a curse to feel sad
@JustWhimsical said:
Please don't take what you did previously too hard its understandable, you are going through a hard time so don't take it like just because you did things that weren't exactly it really doesn't define who you are, so please forgive yourself for those things and look past them, I'm sure you are a very pleasant person to be around. Just all these overwhelming things in your life are upsetting you and that happens to a lot of people in life, people say things that they don't mean to in moments where they feel lots of stress because they don't know what else to say.
While I wouldn't recommend letting people on the internet diagnose you, I think you need to start looking for things to make you happy, if the things that made you happy prior don't anymore. You could always start going into new things to do and hobbies like if a game makes you upset play a different game or start a new thing entirely because you shouldn't keep doing the things that make you sad in the end its much better for your health and wellbeing if you switch it out.
I won't pretend to be an expert on these things, but you need to find people you enjoy and have fun with, if you need a better support system like friends to do things with you can always start anytime you want, though I wouldn't use them merely as support for you, but rather people to talk to and be able to be around.
Know you aren't alone and that many people can be very understanding of what you are going through right now, so please don't feel like you shouldn't be able to say these things. I for one may not know you very well, but I really do hope the best for you I know I'm not the best at giving advice, but I hope I could do something to help you, I hope that someone who is more equipped to deal with these things than I will be here shortly to offer more advice because I am only speaking from experience.
Sending much love and I hope that you find plenty of things in life to make you happy, if you need anything ill to be here to talk to you I may not know what to say, but ill try my best I promise. <3

If it makes you feel any better, I've been feeling like a pretty big failure, especially compared to my brother.
My brother is 23... has his own apartment... makes $60,000 a year... actually has the balls to stick up for himself when he feels somebody is a piece of ######### to him.
And then there's me... not too far off from turning 30... still living with my father... working a "job" where I make maybe $1,000 a year at most... and when somebody is an ######### to me, I just let them do it to avoid even more conflict.
The general rule I try to live by is that "things will always be okay in the end." Even if you feel like you're at your lowest point in life, and even if it might take several months or even years, that big accomplish you seek to do, or that bit of purpose you're trying to find... It'll come to you if you want it badly enough.
Like QwQw said, I'm not great at comforting people, but I do want to get the point across that you're not alone.
Thank you all for the encouraging words. I had a fun night of DBD tonight so I'm feeling a little better. I have my moments where I feel like everything will be fine but eventually something has to come bring me back down. Earlier before I ate dinner, I was frustrated enough to the point where just felt like ending it all right there. I knew it was going to do no good doing that though. I do have a good family and good friends to be grateful for but I don't feel like I ever get to see them anymore like I used to a while back. I'm alone most days and honestly grateful to have the DBD forums to interact with people like y'all. It's one of the reasons DBD made such an impact in my life compared to any other game I've played.
I'll certainly take your advice though as I'm trying my hardest to look over the negatives and be thankful for the positives.

I played the original but that was alot of years ago and they changed up the layout a bit from what i do remember. I don't know why behavior keeps making big maps they are always terrible.
The original one is the one with the mansion I believe.
-
@Gamedozer7 said:
I hate this map on both sides as a survivor im wandering around a maze trying to find gens and as a killer im wander around a maze trying to find survivors while trying to pressure multiple floors.
That pretty much goes for everyone that hasn’t played RE.
-
@MadLordJack said:
Honestly, I don't even take I to account the layout any more. It's just too big. I almost died to EGC because I was on the top floor when it activated.
Ouch that’s rough. It is a huge map which is something BHVR should know by now that big maps are an issue.
-
@Kurri said:
I am pretty sure they are splitting it into 3 maps
I heard they were doing something but we can only hope they do.

@Mooks said:
Its a great map if both sides play casually and visually it’s stunning.
but yeah… gameplay-wise it’s sadly really not good..
Oh yeah the art team nailed it, but it’s layout is atrocious for DBD.

I havent played RE2. All I know is that RPD is better than that damned Corn map that Survivors keep sending me to.
At least Coldwind doesn’t have infinites and isn’t the size of a planet.
-
@GrimoireWeiss said:
They were clearly too ambitious with this map. The fact it stayed more time disabled than live should tell everything. Really disappointing that they took all the criticism of Midwich (although I really like that map, it was overall disliked when it came out) and made something 10 times worse. Hope the map from the next chapter will be better...
Midwich and RPD are the two best visually designed maps imo but that’s really all BHVR focuses on. It’s clear they just don’t care about the playerbase because lack of competition.

Boot you if you go above 500+ ping or something like that. Even if you just have bad internet you're making it impossible for others to play the game and it's not fair.
No sometimes it happens to me and I just wanna play the game.
-
Sometimes I get the sweatiest matches ever and other times I go against complete potatoes. It’s been weird.
-
They should just split it in half to make it two separate maps. Not sure why they haven’t done that yet.
-
I’m sorry I’m very focused on the two characters in this art 😍
-
I wanna think about both sides here. This isn’t necessarily up to the players because if someone wants to play as Slinger, Spirit, or Nurse, they should be allowed to play as them. However, it’s up to BHVR to ensure that killers are fun and interactive for both sides.
-
I enjoy the map but I understand why people hate it. Hopefully they do something to make it more bearable for everyone.
-
Ok maybe I found something acceptable to DC against.
-
One of them is a Yui simp, just like me 😎

I recently started playing Plague a lot a couple months ago. I love her a lot and she’s really fun.

What? No. I have lots of faith in the survivor community, they would never!
Exactly!
-
@Mattie_MayhemOG said:
If you want this why not have a notification given to the killer if you are on the ground for a certain amount of time. They will get notified, find you and hook you. Game over.
Sometimes killers will be a dick though and just wait until the survivor bleeds out. That’s one of the few cases where I don’t blame a survivor for leaving the match.
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2499196#Comment_2499196
Why not just let the man end his suffering? You can already do it on hook. What is the difference?
So what if you get downed first early in the match and because you don’t like the killer you can just ######### right there? Survivors would abuse that hard.
-
From my experience, I haven’t gotten much camping and tunneling killers (except that one Freddy) but I mostly got survivors that did gens fast.
-
I’ll be fine with this as long as it certain conditions are met, like if you’ve been on the ground for at least 2 consecutive minutes. Although I’m not sure how this will work lore wise.
-
Not sure how they’re the ones baiting when you are giving false info about those killers. They are loopable and also are very punishing when they mess up.
-

I have to not have fun so you can have fun? You get 100% of the fun while I get 0?
It’s not just me that you’re ######### over, it’s also your teammates. This is one of the reasons solo q sucks. No one is entitled to have a fun match every single time. I get Haddonfield at times when I play killer. It does suck but I’ll still play it out.
-
@gammatsunami said:
I never dc but spirit is the one killer I refuse to vs. I will just run to her, let her kill me.
How about you stop? This is the reason people like me that enjoy Spirit can’t have fun.
-
@Ssajbambusa said:
@TheGannMan grass being almost everywhere and moving when you walk through it and father's glasses, addond that lets her see blood.
Grass isn't that reliable considering not every map has grass. Also Father's Glasses is ultra rare so it's not that big of a deal.
-
@Ssajbambusa said:
@TheGannMan What about grass and glasses? xD
I don't understand the question
-
Spirit is fine. As long as Iron Will exists, she’s not that big of an issue.
Nurse is my least favorite of these three but she’s not nearly as bad as other killers.
