I'm curious as to what their powers would be. For example, Mr. X from RE 2 is just a big creepy dude that follows you around and just tries to hit you, but then in the final boss, he turns into this machine that is so terrifying that if a power like that was put in the game, I'm curious as to if they'll make him OP or not. The difference between the final boss battle in RE 2 and DBD is that you actually had weapons to take him out but you don't have that as survivor in DBD.
I'm not sure about Mr X, but i always thought Nemesis would have a flamethrower or use some kind of tentacle attack. If its a rocket launcher, maybe its like the Plagues ability, it would have to find ammo in the map and only has one shot.

Right? To me, she's not really that scary and i don't see how she fits into DBD. All she does is have big claws, besides from that, what does she do?
I think most people what her because they find her good to look at...i don't see that either tbh.

It's a way for Cap Com to get more money. They want to give the RE8 game more attention. I don't think they will go with an "iconic" character. Plus, not many people care about Nemesis until a few months ago and he has a Rocket Launcher? But we will have to see, I'm just speculating
They could also profit by getting attention for ALL the RE games instead of just the one, and thats by using recognized characters from the franchise.

Can't this be same for some other licensed killers? Demogorgon seems like the kind that can ignore a pallet in the actual series. Michael Myers can break down wooden walls and walk straight throw glass doors with not problem, but still gets stunned by a pallet
Also, in the original RE3, Nemesis made a grunt noise each time you shot it. Speaking of which, if you look at OG Nemesis, it is about the same size as a regular guy, not monstrously big like in the remake

Silent Hill did that, and RE 2 and 3 took place during the same time with the outbreak in Racoon City. You may be on to something
As for 'if they're doing 2 and 3, they might need to do 1 as well', i'm open to 1 being included, but 2 and 3 are more memorable and iconic. The Racoon City attack was legendary. I mean, if you take the SAW chapter into account, it mostly focused on 3 with the meat plant and Pig, Tabb being the survivor was 1 though, so 99% 3 and like 2% 1
But anything that means Nemesis could be our killer, i'm all for it XD

If Legacy means classic like RE2 or 3, then yeah, i want Legacy
I too think RE8 is too recent to be used in the new chapter, they'd bring in a higher crowd of the characters were more iconic, like Nemesis.

I don't think its a hint to the new chapter, loads of people use screams from other stuff
Also, it could just be a way of showing them working together now. Capcom could be like "Thanks BHR for working with us for your new chapter. To show we're companions, we're going to add a sound effect from your game into our new one"
Anyway, i wouldn't get to into RE8 being in the game yet, not until we see more details.

Well the remake one had a lazier light to show where it was aiming, maybe they could use that to warn survivors. And the rocket launcher could be limited use, like the Plagues lethal vomit.
But if not, the flamethrower could work. We've always thought of killers that could use a flamethrower, why not Nemesis?

Still hoping for Nemesis, i feel it would be better for DBD and RE if the characters in the chapter were well-know fan-favs. Can't beat the classics, after all

OG Nemesis isn't as big as Remake Nemesis, OG Nemesis is about the same size as Mr X
Also, this chapter will be based on the RE franchise, not just Village. the killer should be a character that is iconic, classic and well-known in the whole franchise.
They'd be better using an iconic character to represent RE in the game, and i just don't feel Lady D is that iconic yet. For Village, Lady D is iconic as hell, but for a chapter based on RE itself for another game, i'm sorry to say there are better and bigger options
Also, i think people just want Lady D in not because she'd be good for the game, but because they have some strange...umm...'feelings' for her. Which i don't really understand myself :P . I've seen people saying some inappropriate things about her on her. I'm not calling anyone out about this, i'm just saying what i heard.

Lickers are iconic, yeah, but i don't think it will be a licker. They walk on all fours and climb walls, two things DBD doesn't want in killers. Plus with all the monster-like villains in the games like Mr X or Nemesis, why would they choose a licker?

The fact that we didn't have new maps since Silent Hill and that there is still maps that are in the rework list, make me think that the RE chapter might take place in the Red Forest Realm.

Yes it actually it would. Because Wesker would appear in his monstrous form prior to his demise in the volcano in RE5. One of his arms was essentially oozing tendrils. He has glowing red eyes. He was basically a B.O.W at that point. Considering that he needed Excella to regulate his T-Virus count, or else he loses himself like any Tyrant would when the virus multiplies out of control... This would be the case had he been snatched by The Entity, whom would not provide such a thing for Wesker. He’d become a full-fledged monster that would attack everyone on sight. Exactly what The Entity would want.

I just don't see it so clearly. Wesker seems more like the master than the follower, if anything, Wesker seems like the type of guy who would try to overthrow the Entity

Killer perk: Smash Hit
At the start of the match, the perk has 5 tokens. These will allow the killer to break a pallet or breakable wall with one basic hit. Doing this consumes a token. Once they're used up, the perk is deactivated for the remainder of the match.

I want to say an 'advertisement for a crossover' and a poster for an 'anniversary event' are two separate things, but that doesn't make scene.
If its Mr X, thats fine, but i'm still hoping for Nemesis

Which gives these developers the idea that upon Weskers ultimate demise he was snatched by The Entity. Which is why Chris and Sheva assumed that Wesker had been obliterated.
Now the survivor? Idk. Someone will have to help me on that.
Wesker doesn't seem like the kind of guy people would run from, and he doesn't seem like a chaser. I mean, imagine if Leon was the survivor, would it be a good image if he was running away from Wesker? Wesker would work well if it was Mortal Kombat for his fighting skills, but i don't think it would work for this.
Also, Wesker wouldn't make a good killer to draw people into DBD, RE fans or not. Wesker just isn't that interesting for a DBD killer.
But Nemesis, the character do run and he does chase, he's programed to follow orders. The Entity could've made it so Nemesis works for it now. Plus, Nemesis has alot more ability to off and is a character many people would reconise.
Sorry if this sounds like an argument, but thats just how i feel when someone brings us Wesker.

If its Nemesis, they might use the Original model. In the gameplay of the Original RE3 game, Nemesis was nearly the same size of a man, not as towering as he was in the remake

They watered down Nemesis pretty well in the RE3make so You really don't have to worry too much about that one. the only think he wouldn't be able to do is use weapons like he does in the game.
Also, wouldn't Survivors be watered down too? I mean, we'll probably get tough-guy Leon or smart-girls Clair or Jill, now they'll be running from the killers instead of fighting them while t-bagging

The tyrant is not unknown, it's the final boss in RE. I think it most likely to be the killer, and that they will legendary Mr x and Nemesis with it right out the gate

There is no earthly way Nemesis would get into DBD with his full arsenal of weapons and tentacles attacks. Meanwhile the Tyrant is a much more straightforward monster that can be included in the game without needing to workshop him heavily.
Also while original Nemesis may have been more memorable than the RE2 Tyrant, I feel its the opposite in the remake. Remake Nemesis feel like a setpiece in the first chapter and then just become a serie of boss fights. He never actualy feel like he is chasing you. Meanwhile in RE2 remake, once the Tyrant enter the RPD he is after you constantly, roaming around and making noises. When you go accross the police station you know its only a matter of time until he find you and you have to plan your path around his presence.
Honnestly the most likely things that is going to happen is that we will get a Tyrant with many skins. But Nemesis being the base kit would just be weird.
I feel people would like it better if it was an actual recognized character instead of a name-less shell people can decorate and pretend to be a character

There's no thinking Nemesis will be the killer, Nemesis has to be the killer. He makes the most sense is the most versatile and is smart enough to switch tactics. He'd learn enough to put people on hooks.
The Tyrant from Resident evil 2 is so boring and one note. Walk and punch then crush head.

I mean, i won't say it's not going to be Mr X, Mr X is second running behind Nemesis, but like you said, Nemesis makes the most sense.
Also, something i forgot to mention, Nemesis would be the most recognized character even to those who don't play RE. Nemesis is on the cover of both the Original and Remake RE 3 games, so when people see Nemesis in DBD, they'll be like 'Oh, its that thing'. While Mr X isn't seen unless you actually play the game.
But that doesn't seem like a good example now that i think about it
