EAT THEIR HEADS! EAT THEIR HEADS! EAT THEIR HEADS! (or only their faces maybe) SHUT UP DWEET!

I agree my son/daughter/whatever i agree. I still love you!

*sad skulleater noises*

I'm writing puns in my reports to get some information about trashcan humor. :D
I think the devs will come up with some solutions when dedicated servers are stable.
-
Yeah, i think this QoL ######### could be good for him.
(imagine him being able to jump above objects lmao)

Nope. He wouldn't been able to do this even with old enduring. I mean i can instadown survivors after getting hit by DS with Omega Nurse.

Kinda understandable. I payed for GF too. *getting revealed through multiple walls intensifies*

We answered this before, but the simple version is: Depending on the map and situation, the radius could have been too large. Rather than putting it out and risking it being too powerful, making it hard to get feedback on the killer (is the killer overpowered, or is it just the perk?), we toned it back to a safer amount before the PTB. Worst case scenario, it they're too weak, we can always increase them before the actual release.
Short version, something being overpowered can ruin everything, something being a little weak is an easy fix.
Logical answer. But why got the survivor perks buffed before release then? Because there's no survivor as a character that can be overpowered?

I don' know what to say really.

If you think that is overpowered then you should see the rest of the game...
Honestly keys are one of the worst balanced things in DBD.
I'm playing in red ranks. Playing Trapper. Killed two people while three gens popped. Pretty good game so far from my side. Two people hatch escape. Key found in a chest. Entity displeased.

I mean if you want to create a whole bunch of new infinites on Haddonfield, feel free. :)
Honestly it could be changed to something like: Exhaustion Timer decreases at half the speed only while moving.

I used this add-on all day yesterday and it's actually pretty nice. You can:
- Find someone to heal you
- Know what the obsession is doing (healing or being healed, cleansing a totem, etc.)
- Help the obsession work on a gen
- Keep track of the killer if the obsession is being chased
- Counter knock-out if the obsession is slugged
- Lead the obsession to the hatch so you can use your key
Keys...so overpowered but so useful...perfectly screwed up like all things should be.

Literally nobody is going to do this.
But key escapes will rise. :/
-
OoO gets quite balanced with the new status effects. You can't see Wraith, Pig, GF and so on when in stealth mode. Knockout is quite good for slugging, but if you don't want to get slugged, just run anti-slug, there are enough perks against it.

Yes of course. In my opinion, this game is healthily balanced if an optimal killer can get in avarage 1 or 2 kills against an optimal team. I'd say 1k is even fine, since it takes all four survivors to be optimal, while the killers is alone and doesn't depend on anyone.
And Blackpip. Even when the killer gets a 4k, every survivor is able to pip. The killer is not able to pip without killing less than three people in the ranking system atm. I likely blackpip with two kills, even when i get two or three additional hooks. I think they need to make pipping easier when every survivor wants to 1v1 the killer.
-
I wouldn't use "Spirit Fury"+"Enduring" anymore. After the pallet minimal distance buff it's quite uneffective, keep in mind that it uses two perk slots.
"Bamboozle" is good against infinites, but in a chase most decent survivors got a pallet as backup, so you need to waste another perk slot for "Brutal Strength" anyway.
"Brutal Strength" as perk itself helps you to get rid of pallets fast and it breaks generators faster too. Although it gives you way less advantage than "Spirit Fury"+"Enduring" it gives you then chance for a hit on every pallet break instead of every third pallet break.
All in all i would play "Brutal Strength"+any Detection/Game Slower Perks on M1 killers like Myers or Trapper.
-
Em...can't i have a rave with Rave Gurl Nurse and three party bois on the hook anymore? ######### behaviour remove urself

No it doesn't.

I still have no idea why they nerfed it. They made it perfect for spirit fury at that point, so there's no other perk to really combo it with anymore.
True. (if you stop the Frames of a stun it's actually worse on pallets too, funfact)

To keep "Dying Light" up you can maybe save the best for last.

It could be more of a problem once most of the map reworks have come. He won't be able to be looped so easily anymore if there are more mindgameable pallets.
More map reworks and we can talk about removing/changing one of the addons i think.

"Just have to loop him."
Yeah, because trying to gain any distance after a pallet throw is easy when he breaks it faster than brutal strength.
Because you will always be next to a loop when he comes across the map and can basically m1 you at windows or pallets.
I've tried looping, and even when I do nothing but stick next to loops, there is literally only so much you can do when he might as well have permanent spirit fury on and windows are a death trap.
Never said looping an instasaw billy is easy.
No stun with the pallet? He'll probably get ya.
Slow Vault? He'll probably get ya. (but every other killer too so...)
He is kinda scary with "Enduring"+"Spirit Fury". He used two perk slots for it tho.
-
Yep. Just stay in the killer terror radius to do so and use DS. I mean it's just Doc right?
-
Billy is fine. You can loop him, so he's fine. Even with instasaw you only have to adjust your timing a bit.

Nurse, because i feel like getting rewarded for playing good. (im a bad spirit) :)

A REALLY sweaty build for you:
Nurse
Addons: "Bad Man's" Last Breath, Kavanagh's Last Breath
Perks: Overwhelming Presence, Dying Light, Beast of Prey, Territorial Imperative
gl hf i guess

I really love to hunt Dweets, sometimes i let them escape to keep hunting them because they are SO SWEET!
-
I think Clown is a bit easier than Freddy, but less powerful too. Freddy got teleport. Some people say Clown anti-loop is easy, because you just have to throw bottles on one side of the loop. It's not that easy in my opinion, because as survivor you can just leave the loop sometimes. To trick Clown you need to think a bit tho.

What does that even mean? A slow connection does not mean lag switching buddy:) I lag from time to time there's a difference and no normal lag you won't get banned if that's the case with the devs then that will show a poor judgment on there part.
I only said a slow killer connection is annoying for survivors. Imagine you drop a pallet on the killer and you're getting injured five seconds after that.
-
A slow connection gives you very unfair advantages as a killer and makes the game unplayable as survivor. You will get a taste of your own medicine when dedicated servers arrive and care about your connection. :)
-
MDR + Prayer Beads got a counter: Spine Chill.
Catatonic + Ataxic alias Omega Nurse got nothing as a counter if the nurse is good.
So yeah i think Omega Nurse is the strongest addon combination in the game at this time (and desperatly needs a Nerf).

Never done a cross map snipe with Billy? Blinked on top of survivors with Nurse? Phased to people with Spirit? Hit people with a Hatchet then meleed them for the down with Huntress? Stalked with Ghostface for a instadown? Instadowned someone with Leatherface? Yes it is possible in the first few seconds to down someone with these killers before survivors have a chance to get adequate cover.
Do I need to spell out the game for you too? I stated when you can get survivors down i didnt say it was regular i even stated which killers are good for it. This requires some information on your spawn locations of survivors and your ability to play. Ruin or no Ruin this should be possible to locate survivors. Everything about this game is RNG, but after thousands of hours everything starts to make sense how survivors move, where they spawn, good vs bad pallets and loops.
Everyone loses games even me, but I do quite well at rank 1 without ruin. I dont find it stressful at all simply because I never really used ruin very much. I like to believe I have stopped needing it a long time ago. Are there matches where I think "if I had ruin?" Yes. I would highly advise people to record there gameplay and look at it. Everyone has had ruin pop instantly and gotten 4k's problem is people dont wonder if they can continue this trend or if they do they get crushed the next match and go back to ruin.
Also on a side note I really do love your name so props.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/664910#Comment_664910
Let's say 2 survivors spawn at the location you go to correct? One attempts to get your attention and One either tries to hide or run away which is the correct to survivor to chase? You should know the answer already.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/665073#Comment_665073
Please see the first section of this post. I'm not saying every killer can do this, but I am saying it is quite possible with certain killers based on how they play.
You are kinda right with the explanation that you don't need the effect of "Ruin". But forcing the survivors to do something that's not gens or loosing a bit of gen speed the whole game is very helpful against survivors swf with 2k hours each. Especially on setup killers like Trapper or Hag.
On setup killers, "Corrupt Intervention" is doing a lot for you too, because you got enough time to get a proper setup, if you stay near the uncovered gens.
Thanks for the compliment.😀

@FriendlyGuy Ok, but I would add "CHOOSING to ignore every other survivor while going against one survivor till he's dead" cause if he gets in your way or teases you to go against him, he decided to get the attention right?
Yeah you're right.

According to @Liruliniel you can get your first down in 15 seconds which says a lot about the survivors he goes against.
Nobody needs ruin (or ANY other perk for that matter) to beat that kind of survivor.
I mean sometimes i go against survivors that make mistakes is red ranks too, but if i don't, "Ruin" does a lot of work in Early Game. At least on everything except Nurse for me. (i'm a bad Spirit/Billy)

Ever since EGC has started we no longer need to worry about the first two gens popping. We also have enough anti gen perks currently in the game before the release of Stranger Things too accommodate these issues.
If you know the average pathing of a survivor plus the locations survivors typically spawn you can get your first down within 30 to 40 seconds of the game. If your a faster killer at obtaining downs like Nurse, Billy, Huntress, Spirit, Leatherface, Ghostface you can have a down within the first 15 seconds of the game.
If you prefer to chase a survivor over kicking a gen that's not the fault of the game it's YOURS. Even if they run away you have scratches/blood to follow. Even if they sneak away you have common sense on locations they would hide in or at.
Typically survivors spawn in multiples on locations as well. So you can figure out which survivors the looper and which survivors bad at it from the reaction if you drop down on them immediately.
Are you saying you have been playing this game at high rank for x amount of hours and never had your ruin pop within seconds of the game starting and gotten a 4k? If that's honestly the case then the problem is not the game or the survivors it happens to be you.
K man. What if all survivors are good loopers? I loose right?
-
Keys are busted. Easy like that. Remove them or change them radically.

But at the very least gaining enough to get a common item would keep many from just leaving the game. Or even adding a perk that allows you to get off the hook while being camped at the end of the timer to just have a chance before being dead on hook. Chances are that the killer is just going to down you immediately, but still.
Like I said before, slugging has a counter. Flip Flop, Unbreakable, Buckle up, etc. Tunneling has a counter. Borrowed time. The closest thing Camping has to a counter is Deliverance, which will get you caught immediately if you're being camped.
Every possible Perk i think of will be op af. 🤣
-
Cleanse at the right time. And basic looping+perfect skill checks of course.

It's worth a thought.

Its not hard man not quite sure why no one bothers to actually try instead gets stomped on for a few games and runs back to ruin.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/664602#Comment_664602
Chasing the 3rd survivor while one remains hooked and the second is on the ground. Leaving the fourth to either help the team or finish the gen.
The problem is not applying gen pressure while they are on hook pressure anyway. The problem is applying gen pressure/hoon pressure before three gens pop.
-
@DWolfAlpha said:

Not really. It would only be abused if the amount you could get was abusable. And it's only obtainable if the killer waits there for you to die, in a category you can already gain points in. If the cap was just barely enough for the match to be worth it, you would still want to do other things to get BP. If the maximum you could gain from the event was for a common add-on, offering, etc. from the bloodweb AND required the killer to just stand there for you to get it, it wouldn't be worth trying to exploit it. Just like the laughable amount you can get from struggling isn't enough for people to try to get on the hook to obtain it.
You mentioned the problem yourself. The amount you get, that's not abuseable would be too less to really motivate people to not leave and the amount you get, that's abuseable, would be enough to let people stay.
-
Although i don't like to tunnel as killer, it's a quite effective strategy for most weaker killers and even needed for the effect of "Dying Light". It's sometimes very annoying for survivors tho.
Tunneling: Ignoring every other survivor while going against one survivor till he's dead.
-
@Zixology said:
I see so many people crying about DS being too OP still. Their only argument is that they see "every" survivor using it.
Let's think on that for a second...
DS is an anti-tunneling perk. Nothing else. So if "every" survivor is using it and you keep getting angry about that; it only means two things.
- You tend to tunnel quite often if you're hit with DS as much as you say.
- Most people tend to tunnel quite often if "every" survivor feels the need to run it.
I get hit by DS after i hooked two other people LMAO. I'm clearly tunneling tho.
