Because its the Blood Hunt event and a lot more people are on Killer at the moment. Which is increasing the queue times unfortunately.
-
I've been doing just fine actually as Killer... I haven't gotten a single DC yet.
Yet.
-
If you desire an official statement, @Peanits can possible give you one if they're not busy at the moment. It'll probably be the same thing I already said though.
-
It's been said many times that cross-play isn't coming to consoles and PC. Will it ever in the future? Most likely not since they're so adamant on not releasing cross-play and or can't do it from a limitation or something.
-
You already know how its goin for me....
-
Exactly... The nerve of some people...

Got back home about 30mins ago. It's now 20past midnight GMT and I've not managed to start a Survivor game yet.
That's odd...

It's just one of those magical moments in the realm of DBD...

OH NO! I forgot to @Almo I'm sure they'd get a laugh out of this!

I am in the same boat as you. I also feel like getting used to using/relying on Stridor would broadly turn it into an AWFUL crutch to rely on when playing killer.
That too, crutching on a perk too much really does have negative effects on you in the end result.

Environmental clues are what separate a good and bad Spirit. Anyone with a headset can play her pretty well it's the other clues that makes her exceptionally good.
Well she is Top-Tier after all... Or she can be, its debatable if she is Top-Tier or not, but I think she is with Billy and Nurse.

It's not entirely unusual for me to see a Spirit player running Stridor (I run Iron Will 100% of the time, so it always stands out when someone brings Stridor).
I didn't think Stridor was useful because I never had the hardest time getting the phases down... And Iron Will never really bothered me either.

Uuuh wait what? 😂 For me this was just a normal dicussion as this forum works I didn't see any fight lol. Ok then.
Just have a good blood hunt k man? Peace.

@TragicSolitude said:
Is The Spirit using Stridor? A lot of Spirit players use Stridor, which counters Iron Will.
Wait... Spirits use Stridor?
Damn... maybe that would've helped during the start when I was P3-50ing her.

Ive been itching to use some moris but for the sake of everyone enjoying the event im holding off.
Due to the double BP both sides get nice toys while leveling up so its often brings out the worst in people. After the event its going to be a rather sad few days for any survivors (since i play killer only) in my trials since I'll have an abundance of moris to get rid off...
For now this is the equivalent of holiday season (Least for me). Already have carried several struggling survivors to the hatch, ive put off using any moris for the duration of the event. All for the sake of those juicy BPs.
It's more fun to have both sides enjoy the event, rather than one personally. Glad to see you also think the same, the less aggressive behavior the better :D

You have to be so unlucky for that. Talk in your position and not in general
Please, if you're going to start, than i'm not going to respond anymore.
This did happen to me when I was a Survivor, but I still got out luckily. But I think i'm done responding to you because it's just perpetuating a fight, have a nice hunt man.

Don't worry, I have 1k hours and play since Jan 2018, but for me this happens even out of double bloodpoints
It happens in-general, i'm just saying it happens more during a double BP.
-
I'm surprised @GrootDude @NMCKE and @Boss haven't seen my meme yet :(
-
@Angelicus23 said:
Ok so your point is that double bloodpoints means increased toxicity? Emmm logic?
You haven't played for awhile have you... Usually when a double BPs rolls around, people become more toxic due to them wanting to either farm, they die too early, or in-general "wasted" their BPS or Cakes on a Killer they didn't last against for more than 5 minutes.
That wasn't the main point of the post though, it was just about the meme. The post was a joke, it was literally like 90% joke 10% serious-ish.
-
We'll have to just wait and see...

She's actually on a plane at the moment, so that might be difficult.
Oh, I see.
Well, I guess you'll have to be double disgusted in her absence... It's ok though, nobody is as disgusted as The Entity though... Cheaters will not be tolerated.

That first person shoulda teabagged her way across the finish line for maximum style points.
Honestly, you're right. But I think they were just terrified of the fact they mustered the courage to conceive such a BLASPHEMOUS INSULT!

@Peanits you should show this to @not_Queen if she's not busy... I'm sure she'll be disgusted as well...

It's shameful, really. You should have hooked her just to teach her that cheating is wrong.
The Entity is VERY displeased indeed... Frankly, I was very stunned that such actions were even CONSIDERED let alone brought out...
-
I wonder what @Peanits thinks about that illegal boost during the DBD Grand Prix...

Some people are just cruel, its best to just not let it get to you.

I think you may be right, they were using Dying Light.
I wasnt aware there was a bug related to the perk. My bad. Makes sense, as it never happened when I played killer and I didn't have that perk active.
Thanks for filling me in!
Yeah, its not fully public knowledge yet sadly, so people are probably still falling victim to it. Spread the word if you want, to let people know to not use it until it is fixed.
-
@Darkskies said:
Had a spirit daily oh boy the dcs 🙄🐷ah well let th remain one person get some points damn it's ruff back to piggy at least i dont have to worry about the dcs
Sorry to hear that, hopefully you won't encounter these issues much anymore during the event. It's nice though to just meme and have fun, during a time where a fair bit of people that're... not so pleasant come out of the wood works to cause issues.
-
No, its just a coincidence, or if those Killer you were facing had "Dying Light" as a perk, than they're probably facing that bug which crashes them close to the end of the game due to something going wrong with the perk.
If memory serves, the patch didn't fix the perk yet. So people are still experiencing that issue. If they didn't have the perk, than its just pure coincidence.
-
Yes, it was changed to be base-kit when the hotfix come out 2 days ago. You used to need an ultra rare offering to be able to do it, but now you don't. And the ultra rare was changed to increase the "invisibility" when coming out of a rift tremendously, while also increasing the recovery tremendously.
-
@Dr_Loomis said:
Yes...had quite a few DCs too which is completely fantastic if you want 0 x 2 blood points.
That'll still happen regardless if there is an event or not unfortunately.
More so to spite the Killer during the event.

@Warlock_2020 said:
Toxicity is so high during these things. I avoid survivor at all cost. Between other toxic survivors, and seriously sweaty killers running moris and tunneling like mad-men, it is just not worth it. I can handle it as killer, I just destroy the toxic players, and toy around with the fun ones. Makes it worth it.
Unfortunately, most people know killer is the route to go in a bloodhunt and the que times get sooooo bad.
Exactly, but it's nice to just have some fun now and again despite all the toxicity being thrown around during these things.

lmao I frickin LOVE double BP events. It really brings the best out in people. I try my hardest to get the toxic people to be friendly but if they don't wanna then whatever. So far all my matches have been super chill and friendly <3. Good luck with the rest of the event!
This is usually my favorite part of these events.

An easier target to spot because they glow brighter than a lighthouse... It only benefits me if anything when I see a Legacy player.
It is nice to see one though, it lets me know that not all of them are long gone from the game.
-
You can get bodyblocked anywhere, the room wasn't really intended to be a troll to people... It's just one of those solo gens that some maps have.
-
I'm playing him a fair bit actually...
-
One side mains Survivor, the other mains Killer. Naturally they'll be at each others throats because they're common enemies with different goals.
But that's what usually stems toxicity when that is a mechanic in a game. One side will hate the other, and constantly call them out on faults and other things. It's good to keep an open mind for both sides for the sake of balance and sportsman ship, and it will also help you understand them both as well.
It's what I do, because I like a fair and fun game for both sides when I'm a Killer, and when i'm a Survivor i'd hope for the same thing from the Killer as well. It's sort of a... "Walk a mile in their shoes" mentality, which goes a long way.

If you want to change the icons you need to replace them with different pictures named the same thing. I change my character portraits, so there is a slight risk of EAC thinking that i'm cheating.
You should be fine though. :-)
I think that's why some people don't do it, because a risk is present despite it being small.

I feel variety of the game is the problem almost. I play R6 every other day with friends, and almost every game has some sort of new dynamic. I know you cant really have an R6 system in DbD, but thats what i think is the problem: Variety in gameplay
Its that, but its also the objective tbh. If Survivors has a secondary objective that the Killer could possible prevent in some way also, than we'd have something new to do.
Instead, its the same thing over and over and over every game, just with new Killers. The only really difference in a match when it boils down to it, is the Killer you're facing or playing as, that's really it.
-
I've played the game since October 1st last year, which to some isn't anything... But I have about 1k+ hours into this game as well, and lemme tell you... I've been burned out quite a few times.
I took a break about 2 months ago, for 2 and a half months, and than came back again to take another 1 month break and here I am again. You get more burned out as you play more, because the objectives are the same, so nothing really gets mixed up... even when I play a new Killer every game I start as a Killer... it still isn't enough.
You'll notice this too over-time, and especially if you complete the game with all characters P3-50'ed. Because if you have all characters completed, there isn't anything else to really do... That's why the majority of legacy players don't play anymore sadly.
Its also based on like... how invested you're into the game as well. If you love the game, than you'll play more, if you're meh about it than not so much. These days, I play about 4-5 games, than i'm done for the day. Or if i'm feeling it i'll do more.
-
I'm not 100% sure on how it works, as I don't use it myself. But i'm just informing you to be sure of what to change, as if you change the wrong files than EAC will ban you for it.
For example, if EAC thinks you're cheating, they'll ban you for it. It considers the file changes "cheating" when its just image changes.
Maybe @dfrenchiee knows what to do, and can tell you. But if you wanna avoid the risk of a EAC all together than I wouldn't bother editing the files.
-
@dfrenchiee said:
No, they will not ban you for it; but if EAC thinks you're cheating and bans you there isnt much that they can do.
Unless you're aware of how to do this, it isn't a good idea. Since if you mess up with something in the files, than like dfrenchiee said, EAC will ban you and BHVR can't really do anything about it sadly...
So when doing it be cautious.

Thanks for the response, it’s very much appreciated. I think I could have been more clear about my question though. I was mainly wondering if Small Game worked on the portals that have been used and are now visible.
I haven’t had a chance to try Small Game against the Demogorgon but using that perk in order to counter activated portals came to mind since I kept coming across activated portals hidden in the corner of the map so Demo could keep trying to sneak up on a nearby generator.
Actually now that I think about it, I'm Demogorgons portals are not classified as a trap, so small game doesn't alert you to them in-general...
So basically, no, it doesn't work on them period.
-
No because they haven't been revealed yet for the perk to even consider that they exist on the field yet.
If it did, that'd be a huge counter for Demo... so that's why it doesn't track them when they're not revealed/not used yet.

Hatch was changed after 3 years. Don't shoot the idea down when it's perfectly healthy.
I think a massive issue with the end game is different than a 2nd sacrifice phase mechanic...
But we'll see what happens.
-
No, sometimes Survivors fail skill checks because they're either trying to brute force a Ruin hex, or because they're trying to hit the great skill check normally.
Its common to see Survivors fail skill checks, even at lower ranks like Green, Yellow, and especially Grey. This wasn't a form of mockery, Survivors mock the Killer in other ways like T-bagging, flashlight clicking, etc. This isn't one of them, as failing skill checks on generators actually regresses them a bit.
So even if it was to mock you, they wouldn't benefit from it. So this for sure wasnt intentional on their part...
-
No we don't have an exact time because they're calibrating and perfecting it before the final product.
It's mainly to have it out the doors in a perfect condition, rather than a broken mess. So we don't exactly have a time frame when it'll be out... But it should be in a few months or so.
