Sorry didnt mean to tag you that last time. I understood what you posted and i was able to see why that would be rather frustrating for survivors or from their point of view.

I guess im a little tired of all the EQC timer threads popping up here instead of the bug report section. Been pretty much on everyone of these letting them know that it is bugged and will probably get looked at. And in the mean time to learn to use the audio cues if they do need to go save or etc. But your right it can be difficult even with the cues while your also trying to keep tabs on a killers position and everything else happing in that time.

I can understand why its frustrating to see it everywhere when its clearly a bug that's most likely being looked into.

It's just one of those things though that people won't stop posting until it's fixed, same with things like NOED or Ruin.

Could of ignored it and not stooped to my level. So welcome to the club.

FYI: i dont play survivor so that is literally what i expirience as a killer 8/10 games when it comes down to EGC. You could of been more like @FireHazard

Who stated information which made me and others like me who dont and have never played survivor think about what I posted. But i posted what i did. And even after being corrected and or made to look silly for my "toxic" opinion you decided to drag this on.

    I'll see myself out. ๐Ÿ˜‚

The issue never happened to me, it's happened to others though with proof. I'm just touching up on the ramifications of what would happen to someone when the EGC timer doesn't move or work in-general...

I remember when I found out you could just buy the Hallowed Blight skins

I just let out a sigh, it took away all that made the skins special, that's why I have none now (I didn't have my PS4 at the time)

Even though the skins look so cool I refuse to buy them, I hope that we will be able to unlock older Hallowed Blight skins for free, the Wraith one is amazing

Who knows, maybe the old Blight skins will be a limited time thing when the new Hallowed Blight happens. The new hallowed blight MIGHT NOT EVEN HAPPEN! Who knows...

We'll never truly know if exclusives are dead despite what people say, or what BHVR even says... It's just... unlikely to happen anymore is all. An exclusive item can even be something like an event item or something.

Do you really think they'd re-add the 3rd year anniversary items? I don't... (That's why I stockpiled the cakes lol) Because there will never be a 3rd Year anniversary again. HOPEFULLY THOUGH, they don't just take the old item and re-purpose it for another anniversary, cause than that'd actually make me a bit mad...

  • If by you mean the concepts of a Killer that lunges forth with great speed to hit a Survivor... than yeah. But actually no. Since Demogorgon doesn't sprint, it's in fact a literal lunge he does with range at the Survivor.

So he's actually not like Billy, because of this and the fact he can make rifts that're debatable better than Hags teleports to go to and from each one. They can be destroyed like Hags, but unlike Hag, they don't need to be replaced if they stay there for the entire game.

Demogorgon is a hybrid of what is already established, but a lot about him is just unique enough to be his own Killer. Even a hybrid of ideas, is still a unique concept if no other Killer has these similar ability's together. Yes, they have the ability's, and might even better than Demogorgons... but they don't have more than one of those ability's for example.

While I agree that a new power all together should be something to have in the future, by no means is Demogorgon just another Billy or Hag, he's in-fact a hybrid and a new concept on those powers together!

    Yeah exactly

I have been playing since console launch, so I have as many event skins I could get, I feel pride in knowing that I have them even though I don't use them

I earned them with my own effort, and that's what makes them special

Exactly, the same goes for Legacy skins for PC users on day one beta launch... They earned them, and they went through the worst blood-web DBD ever had to get them.

So its theirs, and nobody else should have them in the future. You can have NEW exclusives for different reasons, but not the same ones to be obtainable in the future like the 2016 Legacy skins. (By that I mean if they added new Legacy skins """NEVER GONNA HAPPEN""" but if they did, it would be for the next generation of Killers, not the previous.)

That's just an example though, it's just something that you personally feel you earned, or experienced... And at the end of it all, it's yours to keep!

    Aaah

    I misunderstood then

Yeah, I miss event rewards that are actually rewarding and not just "Oh lucky you, you got a skin for free"

While I never got to experience those (If I did i'd have them all because I love exclusive items in video games lmao) I can also agree with that. Since in other games outside this one I do have exclusive items that're not obtainable anymore due to the event either being too hard, or too confusing. So the reward was actually... a reward.

It's not even that though, it's just exclusives in-general give something for people to strive to get and have as their own, rather than say... a skin that looks cool like Wraiths Hallowed Blight skin, but can be purchasable again in the shop... It kind of just removes the point I guess? I guess the point is that it's free during the event, but still, if you missed the event and you want it that badly you can just buy it...

    Nothing was really earned there.

I realized that i meant that past bloodweb was bad and now is better. Haha. Thats what i get for not looking at the post before i send it.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/900/LKVA1JHQT0X6.jpg

No I knew what you meant, and I agree. The past blood-web was more grindy than the new one is, and the blood-web before that was EVEN WORSE!

It's nice to know we're going forward with the progression of the grind, instead of backwards though.

  • It isn't game-breaking, but it's definitely something that should be fixed... Not knowing when or what the timer is at really does pose an issue for the Survivor if say... they're waiting for the Killer to leave on of the gates to open it if the gates are far a part...

Which gives them a chance to escape, or something like that.

  • The issue with bots is that the A.I. to make for this specific game is tricky, the best they've done is the tutorial A.I. which is as challenging to face as playing Nurse with a mori against Rank 20s... AKA it isn't a challenge at all (And no that reference wasn't related to anything from the past lmao)

The point is though, to make A.I. that can be challenging for advanced players, while instructive for new ones can only go as far as the tutorials and nothing more. If you want to get some practice, you'll have to just ask some friends to play a KYFs with you and do some training there.

That, or you can just play the game solo, the best practice is personal experience in the game itself with real people!

  • @LCGaster said:

    Hallowed Blight event soon

Just like the previous one, I also was expecting those to be exclusive, but they weren't... So I can safely say it won't be exclusive again either.

  • While I agree that I also share the same fondness for exclusives, it's heavily against what the majority wants now a days. And since the 2018 Lunar event with the Huntress Wolf mask, that was honestly the last glimpse into an exclusive cosmetic for this game.

Q&A: Q. Do I want new exclusive cosmetics that can be earned? A. Yes.

Q&A: Q. Have I asked that in the past? A. Yes.

Q&A: Q. Will it happen ever again? A. Most likely never again sadly...

It's the same thing with Legacy skins, while I'd support heavily for a new type of exclusive skins for the newer generation of Killers that came after, its something that'll never happen because 1. It's to respect the old players that earned those skins during when the Blood-Web was literally horrid to advance in and 2. The demand for exclusive skins doesn't exist anymore, and many people agree now that they don't want to get on during an event to get a skin that isn't obtainable anymore because people don't want to play hyper-actively to get it...

I still hold out hope for a exclusive skin during an event in the future, but that's something that just won't happen anymore unfortunately. That's why I collect event exclusive offerings now, and items for Survivors to stockpile. It's a little hobby I've done since the Hallowed Blight event (I started playing on October 1st 2018, so that's why it wasn't before that) and the highest amount of event exclusive items is my 320+ Winter Party Starter collection. I also collected the Chinese Party starters as they weren't brought back since the first Lunar event, but they kinda... ruined that since they brought them back again for the 2019 one...

As stated above by multiple people, We're Gonna Live Together, a unique David King perk which is unlockable for all Survivors once David King reaches level 30 on the blood-web for the first time. This perk is almost exactly what you described, it doesn't give an aura reading though when getting a safe unhook on Survivors, just the bonus BPs like BBQ and Chili.

    We're Gonna Live Forever.png

This is it at its fully upgraded state. When at Tier l, it gains a 25% stack-able bonus to all bloo point gains up to a maximum of 50% while the Tier ll stage gives a 25% stack-able bonus up to a maximum of 75%.

The final stage is a 25% stack-able bonus for (Safe Unhooks) for a total of 100% maximum bonus to all bloodpoint category's during the Post-Trail. Aka, when you escape or die in the game.

To gain a WGLF stack, you need to unhook a Survivor, than let them live long enough for the "Safe unhook" icon bonus to appear, indicating the unhook you did on them was safe as they didn't get hit right after being unhooked, that means don't be mean and start farming people... that's highly frowned upon.

  • @eXodus

No it isn't weekly, its more periodically than anything tbh... Some characters get new content right out the door of their DLC release when it comes to cosmetics...

But no, it isn't weekly, the shortest I've seen two new content drops for characters was between a few weeks a part. Its entirely random though, it could be a week a part, a few weeks, or a month...

I also forgot to mention that content can come out a month a part from each other, but if we're talking on average, its a month or so between so far. But like I said its entirely random, like for example the Road less traveled collection came out about around August 28th, or so.

While The Rebel Star collection came out around September 4th or so. So it's literally weeks a part if they're popping out content, or at the latest its a month or a little bit more a part if the content is going dry for cosmetics.

If we're talking specific characters getting content, than that could take literally months at a time...

  • @witzkhalifa

Optimization changes from patch to patch, and it could be intentional or not. It's not uncommon at all for your GPU to be taxed at 100% when playing DBD because of the optimization...

Heck, mine is 90% to 100% sometimes when I play, but I don't see lag unless its at the start of the match when loading into the game during the cut-scene which reviews the map, or periodically in-game doing anything. But that's because of my internet and it really doesn't have much to do with the game itself.

Now, if you do experience lag, it could also be because your internet isn't doing as well as it used to anymore. And OR it could be your graphics card just showing it's age, since I also have a GTX 1050, and it's been with me for about... 2 to 3 years now. So it could also be because of the age of the graphics card as well?

You could try uninstalling and reinstalling the game to see if that does anything but no promises there.

  • @ZombieCat

It's due to the Switch files for everything being cut in half, which results in the graphics being below average and badly optimized... This was to cut back on taxing against the Switch, so it could run at a decent FPS during online play.

If they released the full game to the Switch, which has a hard time already running official nintendo titles like Breath of the Wild, than it would've been giving Switch players something like 10 FPS, due to how the Switch handles their library in-general.

  • A tweet to a post isn't a confirmation to the next DLC. Even if that was the case, you can't 100% just assume that it's fact. The DBD team can like any post and not have it correlate to the next DLC...

Personally, adding another licensed character kinda removes the whole vibe of giving us anything unique... Since it's not really made by the DBD personally, it's just a movie licensed Killer again.

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

He looks so much better prestiged than in his regular form. Its almost like night and day the difference.

The same can be said for Legion or LeatherFace personally, because of how much blood is on those P1 through P3 skins, it really does give them a different tone.

  • Personally, i'm a fan of this combo. But that one also fits well with the prestiged skins. Though, I wish the chain necklace skin was a lot darker with his skin, as it clashes with the overall lighting effect on the darker prestiged skins due to the excess amount of blood.

  • @Elk said:

Thank you for showing this. This probably took forever. However, at least it was after the bloodweb change.โ˜บ

  • @yandere777 said:

In your opinion who looks best at p-3? I might attempt it on someone but i just dont know. Im not prestiging freddy cause i got all perks on him, wraith is already p-4 cause i love that guy lol, just p-1 my myers cause i like the bloody knife, and i also have spirit at p-1. Not gonna prestige legion cause i have his devil may care set and thats about it

The best P3 to me personally is Myers, because of the knife with the mask combo, and the workmans overalls.

But if I had to say who's P3 skin could rival his, its either LeatherFaces, GhostFace, or Legions due to the excess amount of blood giving them a darker tone.

  • @The_Manlet

Sorry it took so long, was busy with other things at the time.

    20190929150044_1.jpg

Personally, I feel like it doesn't fit well without it, so here's it without the P1 arms, but with the Escaped Specimen skin arms instead.

    20190929150154_1.jpg

It fits with it kinda well, but because of how dark the blood is, it doesn't really fit with it. The only other skins that sit with the Prestige skins, is the Escaped Specimen body, and the Escaped Specimen head (Alone with the rest of the prestiged skins, not together)

  • @Bravo0413

No, it wouldn't be good with Demogorgons shred. It's a speed boost, it doesn't do anything when it comes to a length increase. Now if you pair it with going against people at loops to cut them off with a shred hit, than yes it would be good.

If you're talking about an increased length, than no. But PWYF is mostly good on Killers that are relying on letting the obsession go, so if that's your thing than it would benefit you in some way indeed. But it's mostly done on Killers like Wraith, or GhostFace because they can stop the chases with Wraiths cloak, or GhostFace who cuts off the chase while making the Survivor think you're still chasing them.

    Edit

If you meant by does it deplete when you shred people with his power @Bravo0413 than yes it does...

  • @Kenshiro

If you're talking about both the Chili and Award-Winning chili add-ons, than they don't work at all and do nothing for LeatherFace. Although, if it does give LeatherFace an effect when in use, it surely doesn't show it during the game at all.

Stick to Beast Marks + Tuning Guide, or for lower tier add-ons, Knife Scratches + Primer Bulb. This will give you an increased running speed when going into hi chainsaw frenzy, and the other add-on increases the charge speed by a bit while countering the negative effects of Beast marks and Knife Scratches.

  • @PolarBear

No, they hardly make any difference, if at all they do anything in-general.

  • @PolarBear

No it doesn't, it won't automatically assign an obsession because it wasn't brought into the game when the match started. I'm not 100% on this, but I don't think it works either, and if it does that's possible either conflicting with the game itself, or something else.

It may not have an effect, but it will the next time you use it when you bring it in the trial yourself.

  • @erasure242

The DLC for Freddy and Leatherface is not in the Switch version, and most likely will not be coming to the switch version due to copyright issues being involved. Their perks are in the base-kit Blood-Web from what I've been told though, so you can still get their perks.

Sadly, you won't be able to play them on the Switch version...

  • @BloodyNights said:

Thanks for the share, I've only P3'd my boy Myers, but I'm tempted for Demogorgon. The grind is just so massive, for no real payoff I feel like. But the blood might make him...stealthier! As he is stomping his way to devour his victims right?

It is a real grind, I have like 11 P3-50 Killers now, it takes a long time to get there. Funny enough, im only devotion 2 prestiged 5. So I thought that was weird... since its so low for so many P3-50 Killers.

  • @StupidPallets said:

Thank you for your wonderful Demogorgon story. I read it all.

    Very much appreciated ;)

  • Wow.png

This was one of my totem spawns like 4 months ago, and it can still spawn there to this day lmao. You get used to it man, its not something to really rely on.

  • I rarely see a Nurse anymore, they're so uncommon because of the stigma behind them, or in-general the lack of fun they produce because of how Top-Tier they're...

The one Killer I haven't seen in like months is Clown though, I never seem him... And that's kinda sad tbh...

  • In-general, DS is just a anti-tunnelers insurance. It's not something to really rely on to give you a second chance like it used to be... The way it was designed before was utterly broken, and it had literally zero counter play due to it just being a free escape.

DS can be useful if the Killer doesn't tunnel you but magically downs you before the timer runs out, but if you're sure the Killer doesn't tunnel, than the perk is useless... It's good to have it just in-case, but if you're in like Red or Purple ranks, you'll hardly find a tunneler, I mean you will but its rare... Its very useful at Green since tunnelers in-habit Green Ranks a lot for some reason... Same with campers.

How about making it on token use which recharge? That could work? One token per perk level.

Wouldn't that make it niche because they can just tap the ruin and waste all of your tokens? Even if it has a cooldown, they'd still do that...

The perk in-general is just something that monitors a hex, its not something to really crutch on or anything, nor is it a good perk tbh... I wouldn't even use it, I don't know anyone that uses Hex: Thrill of the Hunt at Red Ranks casually...

  • Do we really need anymore consoles ports at this point?

  • @LegendCZ said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/717690#Comment_717690

I dont want it basic, but i would love to have perk which is not based on those perks which it suppose to protect.

That'd still make it too OP if it wasn't a hex totem. The reason it IS a hex totem is to keep people that want the game to be as unfun as possible to persist as long as it can...

  • Because if we had it by default to get a notification when someone is breaking your Ruin, than the perk would be UBER meta, and you'd never see it not being used... I mean you still do see it mostly, but if that was in base-kit than you'd never see it not being used...

  • @Captn_Spoofi

No, at this time there isn't a way to share your progress through every platform, or specific platforms of DBD. That doesn't mean there won't be in the future, it's just right now there isn't.

  • Just for a daily, that's about it. I used to use them for Adept Killers, but they since changed the whole system to make them not useful for that anymore.

So unless its a daily, I shelve them because they're too OP and not fun anyways.

  • Remember Me on Freddy, Trapper, Hag, and Demogorgon can actually be pretty scary..

  • @Knightsofren27

For "Taking One for The Team" You need to be exactly next to the Survivor on the hook, unhooking them, and take a hit for it to count towards the achievement.

You'll also get points towards it if you're hit exactly right next to the Survivor that was recently unhooked, so for example if you're planning on sacrificing yourself to take a hook to save the person on the hook, than that would count towards the achievement. Once the person is off the hook, you will only have a short span of time before the doesn't count towards the achievement to get hit, otherwise it won't count afterwards... And you need to be next to them, so for example take the hit from a tunneling Killer or something.

As for the Stranger Things achievements, they're self explanatory, practice makes perfect is all. With specific Adept Demogorgon, like the other achievements with Adept Killers, you'll need to perfect the game with the three perks. That means 8k all across the board, or close to 8k to get a merciless. You need peak performance when playing Demogorgon to get it, that's why for example it took me 5 hours on release the first day to get the achievement.

One more thing, when you're doing the achievement to finish the generator in the "Isolation room" Its the room with the one gen in the small narrow room upstairs, it isn't the room with that portal all the wall. Just for context...

Most likely, I haven't actually played solo survivor in a good while. Besides like once or twice when Steve came out. First game I played I died on the first hook when the killer wasn't even camping me...so I said f dat lol.

Generally if I'm alone I play killer, if I'm survivor I like playing with friends. It's more enjoyable that way. At least it was, now it just takes so long, and with the bugs to go along with it, it's just almost not worth it.

    Hopefully it'll be addressed soon.

  • Mine is M&A, and Pop Goes the Weasel.

M&A because Myers is my main, and it can be practical and other low TR Killers. And Pop Goes the Weasel because getting someone hooked and regressing a generator heavily is a big help at times.

Last Night was the worst experience trying to find games for me. I was in a full stack of SWF, mostly just looking to have fun and farm. We are deff not optimal. But we waited literally over an hour and 30 just trying to get a game as survivor. I said screw this after that and went to bed. It was crazy....playing killer I've gotten most lobbies in about 5 minutes.

I think with how the SWF algorithm changed, its taking longer to get lobby's now. If you solo'ed it'd take way less time.

At least for me it did when I switched over to Survivor for a few matches.

  • @Zenro said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/716824#Comment_716824

Yeah but then you'd think survivor cues would be faster?

No, this is due to how the system works. If one side is too much, than the other will benefit and get faster queue times. So for example, if you're a Survivor main during the event, or just someone who plays both sides, than you'll get faster queue times because so many Killers are trying to play during the Blood Hunt.

This is due to how Killers usually gain the most BPs during a match, so most people would wanna play as a Killer during the BH.

Now if it was reversed, than Killers would get faster queue times, and Survivors wouldn't.
