I've watched that video and the "mindset" advice he gives isn't very good. If you don't care then you wouldn't be playing the game. You wouldn't be trying to play well either. So the whole "don't take it seriously"/"don't care" mindset basically in reality surmounts to "don't play the game" because actually playing it, particularly trying to play it well, is taking it seriously and caring about the game.
Having a degree does not make you an authority of something nor does it make you "correct" so I'm not sure why that was even cited when all he gave was reddit-tier tips
I didn't say that i was correct. It's just how i play. I just don't wanna break my controller over getting tunneled.
-
Demi is a pretty good dbd youtuber. He also got a degree in psychology so he's got some good advice on how to have the right gamer mindset. Check out his survivor guide video. It has a small instance on what you should do if you know you're getting whooped and need to know how to handle it. At least... from what i can remember.

Nice. Mind making a Killer Stereotypes post? Here's a freebie.
Blight: Usually plays like a spaz, spamming rush. They have no chill, they basically embody what the blight is. PURE SPAZ ENERGY!

hahaha will see dying or not same hapent with one game that have 30 k when devs put auto balance game die, now have 1 k, no one will waste time with tunnel and campers kids
I'm guessing this is a joke since this english is at eng'r'ish levels of bad. No one will take you seriously if you don't fix that arse spelling and grammar.

That would be great. Could have it be once you reach "find help" you can speed up bleed out. Hook is 2 minutes and you can speed up the time, bleed out is twice as long at 4 minutes with no way to speed it up.
This. This is what i like to hear. if you can do it on hook then why not while slugged?

New OoO seems like it's some good shiz!

That console basically doesn't deserve optimization and we console players should be grateful it runs at all.
I am grateful that it runs at all but optimization would be great!

I honestly don't know in the current state, I don't think hatch is needed anymore. If it was for me, as soon as there's one survivor left EGC should start, no free escapes, then it wouldn't matter if the slugged one chose to die or not.
Then we wouldn't be able to have 1 on 1 practice in custom as a thing anymore if that was a thing.

I too play both sides, and I know it sucks to be left to bleed. But it sucks even more when one survivor kill themselves on hook just so you find the hatch with the remaining survivor butt dancing there before jumping in. Slug is the only option so this doesn't happen.
If they rework the hatch mechanic, then I'm all for it. But for now, I disagree with you
Then what would you recommend? I just thought having a choice in a matter would be Fun.

I hate being slugged but it's just part of the game. We have perks to counter it but honestly it doesn't happen that often so if I don't have a perk then I'll just recover and go on my phone for a couple of mins till I either get picked up or bleed out.
I wish i knew that before... i wasted quite a bit of my time because of it.
-
Thanks for telling me what the perks were. looks like i'm gonna work on hag then for this! Plague too!
-
@Nosferatu3145 said:
No, if a SWF wants to give the hatch to their buddy, let them take de DC penalty. Killers shouldn't be punished by doing well
I play both sides and I think it's fine. If I wanted it to be stupidly overpowered then I would have NO timer on it they could just press the bleed out button as soon as they hit the ground.
-
I could care less. I barely use it unless i pair it with premonition. makes it pretty good to use.

problem with that is that they could abuse it if it had no timer by not doing anything and always having it active.
Okay how about the timer freezes when you're in the dying state for more than 3 seconds so it can be slug proof?
-
Only change to the nerf should be remove the timer. They may get downed after getting unhooked and then slugged. No one should have to face the whole drawn out bleeding timer.
-
@Slashstreetboy said:
If so, how? Please explain. I think the proposed changes are very fair and tame, since they keep the core of the perk intact but lessen the abusable aspects of it which caused a lot of frustration among players.
Pretty fair but in my opinion they should remove the timer. Can't touch anything without it going down so why the timer? What if they get slugged? Remove the timer and I'll be truly happy.
-
Remove the timer and we're golden. because it deactivates when you touch anything. even yourself. or keep the timer and make it only deactivate when you touch a generator. People do need to heal. Unless you bring No MiThEr

That's the post, thank you :)
DS still has some issues, but other than that it's great :)
EDIT: I know it's subject to change, but I believe in them.

*Object change is not final, they are testing something but given the such positive reaction I reckon they'd keep it.
Remove that timer and we're in business. Or keep the timer and make it only when you touch a generator. People do need to heal after all!
-
eh. if it deactivated by only working on the generator then fine. but what about when you have a basement bubba. you need decisive to even escape. but if you and the boys are down there trying to get out and you need to unhook someone, they'll be stuck...

They added bots on DbD mobile. But they only appear when a player disconnects.
I think there are other games which have bots in public matches too. But you are probably right and bots will never be added.
They have a literal mode where everyone else is bots. Survivors and killers. Called training mode on dbd mobile. Not just to help with disconnects.
-
Better hud, a Training mode in custom to play with bots (Which will allow you to play with friends too if everyone wants to be survivor.) and an addon that allows you to play as pre-rework freddy.
-
Claudette is the one person i could really get along with since she has her interests in botany while i’m more into the studies of the avian species as a whole. We both like to study aspects of nature and she seems like the kind of person that would love to have the covers wrapped around eachother while we cuddle. It’s wholesome fun.
I wouldn’t mind potentially getting cut by glass if i was able to cheer up Rin with a hug. She deserves some love.
-
Being able to earn your kill should be a right. A privilege.
-
I thought they were pretty funny but it would be nice for them to be tweaked.
-
P3 Blendette squad, unite!
-
Placing a trap there just as they vault the upstairs window is just pure bliss when you hear that scream and snap.
-
It sounds like it was made by a whole orchestra and i can’t help but gush over the detail of it and how it begins to feel just a little hopeful near the end. It made me feel something other than boredom. Hillbilly is the close second. Oni being my third.
-
No one really talks about twig lady anymore. Even samination made a joke about it. Though it was related more to the series itself instead of the game so...
-
For me, they’ve been beginning to get better at night. Or maybe i’m just getting more patient. They used to feel like 10-15 minutes and now it’s more of 3-5
-
I remember pretending to be a baby dwight and act adorable just to give both survivors and killers that warm feeling in their hearts. It’s funny to see people a little heartbroken like demi when they see the baby dwight gets sacrificed when they do their best to protect them.
-
They barely listen to the community. We get nothing on colorblindness settings until someone with a verified mark comes and makes them crawl out of their cave and say “We’ve been working on it for a while.” Obviously it can’t be done in a day but seriously, it could be probably be less than a month for this to be a thing. Just make some color adjustments to scratch marks and icons to appease the fanbase and it’s all good.
-
You shouldn’t run all the time. Use it for those crucial moments to bamboozle them into searching lockers.
-
I’m great with everything except chases.
Stealth: P3 blendette bush god
Objective: Gen-Jockey pro
Leader: Clear communication with only two emotes.
Running the killer around: 25% of the time, i’m pretty good and the rest is just me dying within the first 20 seconds in a chase.
-
As someone who has a thing for getting choked, i loooove me some nurse. Jk i’m not into that. But it would have to be Sally, Susie and Rin
-
I’d add training mode into core dbd for people to mess around with. It would be an extra component in custom for people that do not have friends or they just wanna practice looping or flashlight saves. Maybe try different techniques. I say that it’ll stay in custom since people have been a little pi ssy about being able to earn bloodpoints, experience and shards. I think that having training mode be an extra mode in custom would benefit the community greatly. Also the fact about being able to practice with your friends would be pretty fun to have. Imagine being the killer and one of your friends as survivor sandbags a bot that you’re looping. Just my idea on what i could do.

The only place where I can see an AI in DBD is as a Tutorial so that Players learn more like "Repair Generators" or "Use M1 to hit Survivors". But for something which will be done only 1 time (at most) by the majority of people, this is not worth the effort.
And I dont think that BHVR should move ressources into the creation of an AI.
They dont have to right now but as peanits said, it may come. If you dc from a bot match then nothing happens since all bots. Anyways i'll shut up until someone replies
-
I was kind of thinking that. i mean imagine using decisive and it actually looks like from your perspective you used a little sharp object and dug it in their back it would look do cool.
-
man if i knew the op i would add them.
-
yes that is what i meant and sry i was sleeping.
-
Including* sry my hiccups are bad tonight.
-
I mean even when the entire team uses petrified oak our entire team couldn't get off the killer once, even with our perks that boosted our chances of wiggling off.
-
dumbest thing i ever done was when i used ghostface and just stalked the guy opening the gate to see if i could down them but it was too late.
-
how about like 5 percent for a great and just a small increase in speed for a good?
