Dbd wiki unseen lore charecters.Or just search for ''Kazan Yamaoka'' on the wiki and find where in the lore Akito is mentioned.
Ah I see, it's not in his official "lore" but rather the lore from his addons.
I think it's definitely possible that Kazan killed the child and their family as some kind of retribution, especially if this happened after his "fall from grace".

Dear MandyTalk,
Sorry for disturbing you at this time,
I think this thread should be closed. And I don't know how to close my own thread. That's embarrassing...
Could you please tell me if its possible to close a thread ? If so, how can I do it ?
Thank you for patience,
Kind Regards,
MrGolden32467
It's not possible to close your own thread. You did the right thing by tagging a mod to do it. I also flagged the thread just in case Mandy isn't around and one of the other mods is able to step in and fulfill your request.
You seem like a very nice person, I'm genuinely sorry your lovely thread went downhill like this π

The killer is already punished for camping by a reduction in their emblem score, so campers will find it very difficult to rank up.
The best way to counter a camping killer is by doing generators yourself. Hopefully that will scare them away from the hook because they'll realise that they won't get enough kills doing what they're doing.

Hey. I'm one of those people who earned these event cosmetics and lost them later. will I need to create a support ticket? or do I just need to wait for it to appear again?
You don't need to file a support ticket - all the cosmetics will be restored to those who earned them during the associated event(s) in the near future, so just sit tight π

This sounds interesting, I don't remember it being in the Oni's lore though. Where did you find this?

I think people care about losing access to their favourite gaming platforms.

So people canβt sell their DBD account St. hat have the event skins???? OK.
They can in the most literal sense, but it's actually against the rules of pretty much every platform that DBD is available on, so you will get in trouble with the platform owners (Valve/Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo) if you do.

yeah its happening to alot of the challenges..the only thing that will fix it is to de-select and re-select but then you gotta do it all over again it and may or may not work.
It shouldn't erase challenge progress if you select a different one. Is that another bug?

how can you screw teammates with inner strenght?
Someone else asked me the exact same thing above, I'll copy and past my response for you.
Firstly by making totem cleansing a priority at times when you really shouldn't (like when someone is hooked and you're the only one who can save them). And secondly by insisting on running away and jumping into lockers to heal at times when it would actually be a better idea to just let your teammate do it, such as when they're standing right there with We'll Make It.

This seems to be a problem for multiple people right now. Try restarting the game, and if that doesn't fix it, select a different challenge and then reselect Liberator to see if that solves the issue.
-
He may seem that way, but I'm inclined to believe that it's only because no one has had enough experience with him yet to know how to play either as or against him. And all killers seem overly strong when no one knows what they're doing (see grey ranks as an example).
-
Sorry if this is a nooby question, but what's SK?

No, none of those bugs were in the Known Issues. I guess next people are going to say that even the Patch Notes are survivor-biased.
-
The main reason is because trophies on console are very difficult to change.
An alternative is changing not the achievements directly, but the requirements for "merciless killer". It's not something they're working on right this instant, but it is something that they are hoping to look into in the future.

Accurate. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the Doctor. His power is fun to use in some ways, but I think it could be a lot better to play as and against.
Currently, Madness 1 and Madness 2 feel like they hardly have any real effect on survivors without add-ons, apart from screaming. The hallucinations obviously don't fool anyone, and the random skillchecks become less and less useful as you play against more experienced survivors. But the random skillchecks are also really annoying when I play against the Doctor. So it's competitively weak and really annoying to play against; to me, as a Doctor main, that sounds like a mechanic which should be removed.
I'm hoping they make Madness 2 more threatening, and make Treatment mode a little more interesting/less awkward to use.
To be fair, I don't think the hallucinations were ever supposed to fool anyone. I think they're primarily meant to be a way of tracking the survivors. I do agree that he could use some changes and minor buffs, however. I too am looking forward to seeing what they do with him. They have proved in the past with Freddy that they know how to do a rework right, so I'm still holding out hope for Doc.

Oh engine update, No wonder the game is a mess from what I experienced the first two matches.
Hilarious that their answer to Blendettes was to make stuff oddly white but whatever I guess.
Honestly, you probably picked a bad time to come back. There are currently a couple of gamebreaking bugs that came with the new patch (the inability to wiggle being one of them).
-
It's a known issue according to the Patch Notes, so don't worry, they'll be working on fixing it.

Engine updates, and general map rebalancing to make stealth a less viable option.

In general, whenever a new chapter releases killer queue times go up since folks wanna play out the new guy. Though outside of chapter releases your killer queue times vary based on what platform you are on. If you play on PC killer queues tend to be longer than survivor queues. Conversely, on consoles killer queues tend to be shorter while survivor queues are longer. Though the biggest determining factor is your rank. If you are a rank 20 then the rank system is trying to pair you with low rank players which are hard to find past the 20th or so of every month after the reset.
Worst case scenario, wait until the 13th then during the reset play enough of both roles to get to 15. This should resolve your matchmaking issues as long as you play each role periodically and don't let the resets push you below 16.
Rank shouldn't be an issue - the game makes an exception to the only-match-within-six-ranks rule for players in grey ranks for that exact reason.
-
@Peasant said:
If players could complete multiple challenges per game, then the tome would be infinitely easier.
Which is not necessarily a good thing - if the Tome were easier to complete, people would have to grind a lot more to finish the Rift.

That's not what people are saying.
There's 2 issues here.
1- bhvr said they would release it to all, then went back on their word. What's stopping them from going back on their word on other things?
2 - their own policy about event exclusives is that they will all be avaiable at the store. So what makes these 4 so special that they get a different treatment?
Making strawmans out of people just make you look like an #########. Don't do that.
One could equally argue that they went back on their word to those who put in the effort to earn "exclusive" cosmetics by making them non-exclusive in the first place. But that's a little beside the point.
By the logic you're presenting, any time they revert a balance change based on community feedback is also going back on their word. And I hope we can both agree that that's really not the case.

Yeah, only time can tell. But if they are going to put Ghostface, it will probaly be in 2020 or 21
I agree with that. I expect that they'll be releasing Tomes roughly in character release order, since they mentioned that one of the things they wanted to do with the Tomes was expand on the lore for the earlier characters, which is pretty sparse compared to more recent installments.
-
@Brucecastro81 said:

Its not possible because something still licensed. Ghostface uses the mask and the mask is licensed
I'm not as convinced as you are that that's actually the case. But only time will tell.
-
@Brucecastro81 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/893629#Comment_893629
The devs said that licensed characters won't be in the Archives
I think that's what they're trying to say - that technically only the mask is licensed, not the character. There's no license on the lore, it's a story the devs made up for the character, so theoretically it may be possible to get a Ghostface Tome one of these days.

I honestly forgot about Oni's existance, it may explain why it's taking so long.
This is the first time i'm trying killer so these insanely long queues are new for me~
It's rather frustrating because I was really looking forward to improving as certain killers, but I guess i'll wait until the hype for Oni dies down a little and try again.
Thanks for the quick reply ;3
No worries. I'm sorry you aren't able to enjoy playing killer, but that sounds like a good plan. Your other option is to join the queue and do something else for a while (while keeping an eye on the game, of course) so that the long queue time doesn't feel like so much of a chore.
If you're still having problems the next time you try, you can always come back to this thread and someone may be able to help you further π

So the next time you eat a meal you don't like, make sure you don't criticize the cook. Doesn't matter that you paid for it, become a chef yourself first before you dare criticize them. See how dumb that sounds?
You're right, that does sound dumb. Luckily, that's not what they were trying to say.
-
That people who use certain perks are bad, or by extension, that certain perks are useless.
-
Killer queue times can vary a lot depending on the region, time of day and, most importantly, how many other people are in the queue. Particularly at the moment, a lot of people are trying out the Oni, so killer queue times are likely to be pretty long.
Your rank shouldn't be a problem, since the matchmaking system makes an exception for players at ranks 17-20 and matches them with players of any rank if it can't find enough players of a similar rank.
Killer queues are typically longer than survivor ones, but 30 minutes seems unusual. How long has this been happening? Is it just recently, or have you tried to play killer at other times in the past and experienced the same issue?

And what about pig? his perks seems usefull, at least surveillance, dunno if in game will be more usefull, or better than discordance.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/893493#Comment_893493
Is ghostface better than Myers?
In my opinion, Myers is a stronger killer, especially at higher ranks. This is due to several factors, such as the fact that attentive survivors can break Ghostface's power, that it only lasts for 45 seconds and that it applies to only one survivor at a time. I can't compare them in terms of how fun they are to play because I haven't actually played Ghostface, but I find Myers enjoyable to play both as and against, and he has been a solid mid- to high-tier killer (depending on who you ask) since his release three years ago. He's also easier to master - Ghostface can be good in the right hands, but the same could be said of any killer.
Myers also has better perks overall. Dying Light is a useful slowdown perk and is featured in many game-slowing builds; Save The Best For Last allows the killer to catch up to and down survivors easily, by reducing the cooldown on his attacks by up to 40%. Play With Your Food can increase your movement speed by up to 15%. For context, 15% is how much faster most killers usually are than a sprinting survivor. All three are generally considered mid- to high-tier.

I cant remember where exactly been awhile since I saw it and pointed out to a friend who reminded my other friend in a party a few days ago.
I just wondered because the last I heard about it was the most recent Q&A stream, in which they were asked whether the Doctor would be buffed and they said their intention wasn't to buff him so much as make QOL adjustments to make him more fun to play both as and against. But that didn't seem to me like they were planning to make him weaker, just different.

Why do people ever use huntress lullaby over devour hope? They are basically the exact same, but at 5 tokens one is letting you one-shot mori people and the other is....making skillchecks a little bit harder?
(a) Because they have very different functions - the only way in which they are the "exact same" is that they are both hex perks which rely on tokens.
(b) Because Huntress Lullaby has more immediate effects, and does a better job at slowing the game down and helping the killer track survivors.
(c) Because Devour Hope is a DLC perk that not everyone has access to.

Well at the very least they could release those exclusives on Console, since there's no way whatsoever to earn them and there never was. I guess the same could be said about the Legacy set? That's a highly coveted item in the game on PC. Some games that run on multiple platforms treat exclusive different in different regions and on different platforms. Example on North America consoles and item can be ultra exclusive handed out at a convention and that same item could be free in the store for everyone to buy in Europe on Xbox. So I don't know how they wish to handle it and I don't have a dog in this fight so I don't really care. Just offering my thoughts.
It's not actually true that the cosmetics in question (from the Howling Grounds and Summer BBQ) events were never available on console, since the console release of the game happened months before either event took place, and therefore console players had the opportunity to participate and earn the cosmetics just like those on PC.

"CHANGES TO EVENT COSMETICS UNLOCK
In the latest Dev Update, we announced our plan to unlock a large list of exclusive cosmetics to all players on PC and console. According to the feedback we received, we decided to review the unlocking process for the following cosmetics:
- Hound (The Huntress β Event Mask)
- Untamed Donkey Jacket (David King β Event Body)
- Pro-Pain Hammer (The Hillbilly β Event Weapon)
- Free Song Bird Slip Dress (Kate Denson β Event Body)
As it was mentioned by many players, these cosmetics were earned during events and were representative of the player's dedication to the game. The way these cosmetics were stored created an issue where a loss of progress was possible, we've since switched to a more secure method of storage for event cosmetics.
At the time of the announcement, last month, we had no way to isolate players who had earned these cosmetics. Since then, we have found a way to isolate the players that have played the event and will be able to restore these four cosmetics on a large scale, only to players that earned them during the events. Keep an eye on the news, this will happen Soonβ’"

I think they understand where the decision came from, they're just lamenting the fact that it was made at all and asking for it to be reversed.
-
There is a bug in the latest patch where survivors will sometimes fall out of the world and be unable to escape when hooked in the basement. It doesn't happen all the time, though, and from what I've seen the triggering of the bug appears to be random.
-
According to what a friend told me the other day, they crank up the probability of getting the new map immediately after its release to something like 40%, to give players a chance to check it out.
That number falls every day, though, so within a few days it should be back in normal rotation.
-
It depends on what you're looking for.
If you're primarily interested in perks: Myers, Cannibal and Clown each have at least one perk which is generally considered very good.
If you're primarily interested in having fun: Myers, Pig, Doctor and Plague are the ones I would consider most enjoyable to play, though this is pretty subjective and everyone you meet will have different opinions about it.
If you're primarily interested in powerful killers: Myers, Ghostface and Freddy are the best ones that you don't already have.
-
Slugging is considered by many to be... not rude, so much as inconsiderate of other players' experience. It's the same problem many people have with tunnelling.
Having said that, the answer is no. There is nothing wrong with using any perk, character, cosmetic, strategy or build unless it's actively exploiting a bug in the game. Game features and mechanics are not "toxic". End of story.

Slugging for a 4k isn't breaking game mechanics.
Disconnecting to spawn a hatch is.
Now if I'm incorrect and BHVR is actually going to claim that they designed the game with "DC tech" in mind I will literally stop playing right now, buy a plane ticket to Ottawa and smash my head on the glass outside their offices until the sense being knocked out of me falls into their heads.
You might want to double check that plane ticket, the office is in Montreal π
-
Yeah, no I think that part of it is pretty cool π I just thought it should also have some kind of bonus for the player using it to incentivise bringing it into a game.
