I feel like Rancid Abattoir, if it didn't have that god window loop, would be a perfectly balanced map, even with all the safe pallets it has.
Alot of the maps in 1.) have a alt set up that seals those windows, if bE prevented them from ever opening those maps would be totally balanced imo.

There have been few Christmas events in the past, and although NO event can measure up to that Halloween event with those plants the Christmas ones were still pretty good.
Though this year it seems we're having no kind of event, which actually is fine by me. I wouldn't mind if there even wasn't a changed lobby or in-game lights. Why, you ask? Well because I think the devs have decided to focus on more important things. Such as Dedicated Servers, killer and map reworks.
What do you guys think? Do you want a Christmas event, or do you think events are overrated and too buggy?
I wish I could post it, but there is a leaked image of a Winter Solstice event that was found in the files with The Cursed Legacy Chapter, so there is a good chance we’ll get one tomorrow with the final rift level.

I disagree.
1. The window outside the school only gives you 2 safe vaults at most, and that second vault will likely get you hit.
2. The car pallets outside the preschool don't actually spawn that often and aren't really that strong.
3. Most the loops don't lead to the preschool as once the pallets outside the preschool are destroyed getting to the preschool in the first is challenging.
Though the two pallets that spawn in the preschool are quite the annoyance.
I disagree, you can get 1 - 2 loops on the picket fence if the Killer is far enough, and the loop is practically an infinite if you throw the pallet down like someone else mentioned.
I ironically just did this to a Legion, and after the window blocked I broke the only hook he had nearby just as the last gen poped. Poor fella felt so defeated he opened the gate and carried me out. :(
-
That explains why I see so many people doing this lately.

perk was already bad definitely never gonna get used in serious gameplay
I only got to reset a pallet once which the Killer let me do, and missed a chance to reset another because I forgot I could lol.
-
I wouldn’t complain about that. 😋
-
Funny I was just thinking about Mindbreaker too! I personally think if they keep the 50% penalty going the numbers should be 5/10/15 seconds of exhaustion, that makes it hard but not impossible to use exhaustion perks after exiting a gen. I 200% agree with the Surge changes, just making it downing a Survivor regresses a gen sounds like an amazing QOL change as the perk is satisfying to use when it happens.
-
I think you should only lose your stacks after you down a Survivor, it’d be nice to have a perk that synergies with every Killer even The Legion.

Shelter woods is the worst one imo. Filled with deadzones with absolutely nothing for survivors.
@GrootDude said:
The pallets aren’t as bad as everyone thinks.
The hallway pallets are best used early, if you can throw them early enough, you can rotate back and just vault over them. It’s rarely worth trying to go for the stun with those pallets.
-
Wow I didn’t know you could set a trap on top of the hatch.

Most pallets on that map are relatively safe. I can think of three god pallets on that map. That's more than most maps.
The pallets in the 3 park/woods are 100% safe because how big both sides are, but the garage pallets can be bloodlusted, it will take lvl 3 to do it, but if the Killer really refuses to break the pallet it can be done.
I know there is one pallet in the street that is kinda safe because the tree and trash next to it is as long as the car, where as the rest are shorter so you can walk around them before or after the pallet is thrown.
If Haddonfield gets reworked to the point the the windows in the houses are barely viable like Badham’s, the pallets definitely need to be beefed up a bit so there is some loopability to more than 3 of them.
-
If we are talking about who can get around the map, I would have said Freddy, but it has to go to The Hillbilly just because his cooldown isn’t as severe as Freddy’s. If we are talking about who can lockdown gens the best, nerf or not it has and always will be Nurse. No one can down and get hooks as fast as her, so she will always put the pressure on survivors to rush those gens before she kills everyone.
-
@Pulsar said:
Too many loops on Haddonfield, too many safe pallets.
Safe pallets, on Haddonfield? Hardly, you can bloodlust those pallets if you absolutely refuse to break them, and most of them can be walked around so you have to stun the Killer to get any use out of them. At least on Hawkins you can vault some of them to help you loop the Killer around corners, that isn’t the case on Haddonfield. The unsafe pallets are half the reason why the houses are so strong.
-
@Peanits I don’t think Ghostface needs a nerf, he just needs to be easier to take out of his shroud. Playing against him is very unfun due to how hard it is to break his stealth. I feel cheated whenever I get marked by Ghostface, because I couldn’t quite angle my camera to the exact spot it needs to be in order to break his shroud.
Ironically I find him very fun to play as however, so he is in this weird spot where a simple expanded area to break his shroud or whatever makes him so hard to reveal, could possibly make him much less fun to play as. So I guess I am kinda asking for a nerf afterall huh? :/

Thanks everyone :) I got it! I got a Doctor to eventually just hit me instead of zapping me.
Nice, I’m happy for you! :)
I definitely agree with the others, it is luck depending on the Killers you get. I got mines my 1st game on Haddonfield (against of all things) your typical Spirit Fury Enduring Hillbilly.

@Nicholas said:
How was it abused by survivors?
Everyone would just do gens and let the dummy facecamp until they walked out. It worked imo, but it still made it unfun for the person left for dead on the hook.

I think bE should give her undetectable, I don’t see why not at this point…
-
I honestly wouldn’t have complained if the cosmetics were added to the Free Tier of the Rift. I agree some of the cosmetics should symbolize some sort of skill or time is behind the player using them. It’d be hard to watch a baby Dweard get bodied by The Legion.
-
I agree, Pharmacy should definitely give a Ranger Med Kit now, unless you run Ace in the hole or Botany, that Emergency Med kit ain’t gonna last long…
-
I 100% agree, I don’t understand why bE made getting Survival points so hard to get. Killers are guaranteed a perfect game as long as they 4K and get 3 hooks on each survivor with the game lasting 9 minutes or more. The survivors have to be jack of all trades to get a perfect game which can be difficult depending on a lot of variables.

I mean the Legion has a justifiable reason as to why they could change gender and character pig doesn't.
Legion's lore describe them all being taken and there add-ons reflect multiple people or all the group the mixtapes being the best example of the latter category. Also from the beginning the design was intended to be for multiple people hence why you have different models for each Legion member and voices for the male and female
The Pig's lore is only centred around Amanda and the Pig's add-ons reflects Amanda's viewpoints. You would basically have to rewrite her lore and add-ons, create a male model and get a voice actor for him
Also I despise Hoffman however I do like the outfit he wore that's about it. So what I essentially want is a female version of it for Amanda
I understand, I’m just throwing things out there for conversations sake.

She's already got two outfits mainly centred around things she wore in Saw 3.
The most I could see them doing is giving her the fishnet + skirt she was wearing in the first saw and whatever outfit she was wearing in the second movie.
It would also be nice to see an outfit based on Hoffman ( I'm not actually asking for Hoffman just an outfit based around what he wore when he was using the pig mask)
I mean The Legion changes gender/character depending on the outfit, they could do the same with The Pig with permission of course.

@Volfawott said:
Legion literally have the most detailed face design out of all the masked killers. It would be a massive insult to all that design work to not give them a maskless cosmetic.
I'd also love one for Amanda so Devs and Saw licence holders get on that.
I imagine with the permission, they could give Amanda a Pig shirt, and no mask for the cosmetic with her name as the head piece’s title.
-
If they gave Survivors some sort of bonus stat or ability, I’d love the old Left Behind to be Bill’s.
-
@Dr_Loomis said:
I'm against unmasking masked killers. It destroys their mystique.
On the other hand, I'm all for masking killers who don't usually wear masks ie Hillbilly. But then again, that would make the masked killer count oversaturated.
Technically you can see a bit of the Trapper’s face through some of his cosmetics/masks, same with Huntress and Legion.

I feel like removing the injured music should be a QOL change, not an actual perk aspect. But yes I agree.
The vault change could be abused extremely easily and has little to do with the perk itself so I don't quite agree
I agree that something should be given in terms of bloodpoints. Honestly all of it makes sense cause doing anything while injured is risky, so bonus points to everything I would agree with
No Mither should start you healthy, and leave you broken as soon as you’re injured for the rest of the trial.
-
I’d say weak, his pounce is very situational, and is only good for mind games or stopping a Survivor from making it to a loop or pallet last second. I also find most survivors always assume there is a portal nearby, so even a well hidden portal with his Red Moss add on will not allow you to get the drop on Survivors after a teleport.
-
I admit it does suck being slugged for the 4K, it’s pretty sweaty, but so is DCing as the Killer approaches the hatch so your buddy can escape for bragging rights.

if you ask me it's way to easy to get boldness and I don't get why both are bold
I’m with you brother, I was very disappointed with bE adding another way to get boldness. I’m upset that after 3 years, self healing skill checks still count towards Altruism instead of Survival after the Medkit pass they just did!

IDK about adorable, but I do enjoy looping her because most don’t use her properly. ;)

Also they took out the charge debuff so you can use it on a purple medkit, get your 4 ish heals off and use the syringe for one last heal
That is honestly the best thing about the Insta replacements, The styptic basically got buffed if you use it in a chase especially now that it doesn’t eat 25% of your charges just for using it.
-
I take it no-one read the Devs posting about all Stealth Killers getting Undetectable to maintain consistency. This was not a nerf, it is a rebalance at best. He is affected by Spinechill and Premonition, but has 0 TR instead of 6M at T1. I can’t wait till I get a Offering for an Indoors map so I can try out a new build without M&A taking up a spot.

Yeah, 16 seconds is a bit long, but it's still useful for getting someone off the ground. Just use it quick, then distract the killer who now thinks they prevented a heal.
There definitely is alot of things you can do with the Syringe and Styptics, so I definitely am looking forward to using them in the future.

That was a busted thing in the first place. Especially since it applied to the user. We'll make it is still really strong especially if you use it with the syringe
Woah We’ll make it speeds up the Syringe’s healing time!?

Hmh, which survivor a killer would prefer to face? Someone with dh, ds, bt and adrenaline, that make him last longer in a chase, or someone with a medkit, botany, streetwise, self-care and a random perk?
lol hey they complained about it at launch when We’ll make it was all you needed for a 4 second heal, so it wouldn’t surprise me.
-
@ScottJund said:
I actually think its too good. A 6 second heal is a little ridiculous, and its a 6 second heal you can do multiple times. I can heal while being chased now, its silly.
Well we’ll see how long it takes before the Killers cry for a nerf, they must’ve complained about syringes already because those are officially useless at an astonishing 16 secs for a automatic heal opposed to the PTB’s 8 seconds.

I wonder if the hooks are revealed in orange too.

Killer: Bloodhound - I used to main Wraith so it was very helpful as a baby Killer to have that extra info to help track Survivors honorable mention to Predator as well. ^_^

@Wolfgamer0402 said:
So I checked and the entity can repair generators.
I mean the hook is just gone for 180 secs
Shouldn't they increase the time for hook repair like 240 or 300 secs
I mean that I understand that there should be a timer but it's too small for something that takes your whole perk slot.
Thoughts?
Originally hooks used to take alot longer to break, but they were permanent, so potentially all the hooks but the Basement hooks could be sabo’d making it near impossible for the Killer to get hooks. This was changed last year to the current system, although I agree the sabo time for hooks as well as the perk need to be adjusted as they are both rarely used and nothing but time wasters.
-
I hate going against Ghostface because players tend to use him like Wraith Aka Tunnel and or camp the whole game. His reveal mechanics also make getting exposed feel cheap so he 200% needs a bigger cone for revealing him.

Hopefully the leaked schedule will still apply tomorrow. I see no reason for it not to but still, this delay has me questioning things. Nov 6 is International Babysitter Day and I sure hope it's not delayed a week. 😎
Yeah it’d be a shame if that skin didn’t drop. ;)
-
If it’s not released Tuesday, hopefully they will announce it by than and release it Wednesday or Thursday.
-
I think MOM should stay the way it works now, but with the unhooks and protection hits counting towards the perk. Flip flop would be amazing with just the 75% wiggle progression, but I wouldn’t complain if the no scratch marks and etc thing was added, the sprint burst thing is overkill IMO. The added healing speed to downed Survivors only would make that perk must better imo, the OoO part is unnecessary IMO too though.

The icon is different to blindness. While they do have the same structure, Blindness has a smaller dot in the eye than in Vision. I think the icon isn't used because of its similarity to blindness and to prevent confusion.
It’s also redundant, if you can see Auras you don’t need an icon to reinforce that, only one to explain why you can’t ergo blindness.

repair speed and mangled get displayed too even if theres a "effiency"-icon at the action-bar. Same for as example Thana's red perk icon for survivors.
Remember that survivors wanted to get all that redundant info stuffed in their HUD.
(Getting more info has been a constant demand for survs since forever and is still going strong , see the solo-cwf gap debates)
I know NOED and Hex perks used to not even show for Survivors, they had to find that out on their own.
-
seems abit redundant since Openhanded has an icon that appears on the screen to signal increased Aura reading…
