I don't have an issue with BT. Mainly because I remember the days when pulling someone off a hook within the killer's TR applied the effect to both the unhooked and the rescuer.
You could wait the 15 secs and down the person again. However they most certainly have DS. You could slug them but someone will run by and revive them or they might have unbreakable. I feel they have too many tools. I don't know how the devs could balance this. They are in place for a reason but the potential to abuse them is still there.
-
I'm sure the devs know. They just don't care because it's a killer. A top tier killer at that. They are probably afraid if they fix her she will rise again and that will upset their precious survivor mains who buy their cosmetics.
-
What are you doing wrong as killer? You are concerned with the opinion of the sheep. Ignore their heathen comments and feed them to the entity anyway you can >.>
-
I dont think an extra gen will make a difference. The issue is you cant pressure 4 survivors at once.
-
If they fix the bugs i'll go back to playing as her. The rework was one thing but I don't want to play a coin toss in a match to see if my power will work properly.
-
Truth about face camping. It's the survivor's fault. Face camping the very first person you hook is a very poor way to play as killer. While your standing there waiting for that person to die you aren't applying pressure to anyone else. The reason so many get 4k out of it is because most survivors don't know or don't want to counter the killer for doing it. If you see a killer face camping. Leave that person on the hook, do the gens and GTFO. That killer won't get any bloodpoints or pips for playing like this. Eventually they'll realize this isn't working, I better start hunting instead of camping. The reason you see so many face camping at higher ranks is because the survivors are allowing this poor strategy to prosper.

I get accused of having wall hacks from time to time as Nurse on PC. Take it as a compliment. I usually tell them to read the perk description of I'm All Ears before they embarrass themselves with a report.
I've been accused of wall hacks too. I hooked someone on legions map then I teleported through the center building. I saw a Claudette crouching as I went through the building and hit her. In the end game chat the Claudette asked "How did you know I was there?" I said I didn't. It was going to through the building to check on a gen. It was dumb luck I ran into her. Their response was amazing.
"I'm a Claudette. You can't see me because I'm invisible so you must be hacking. REPORTED!"

This Killer is really bad at chases and got gen rushed with no kills how are they at my rank?
Hex: No One Escapes Death
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
More like the bad killer gets to red rank because there's a ton of bad red survivors. People who see a killer face camping and they stop doing gens. Waiting for a chance to save only to make the poor strategy work for the killer. Whatever your opinion may be about the ruin nerf. Fact is when they made the survivors job easier, more newbies ranked up when they shouldn't have.
-
Why do you use keys?
I have a bunch of ebony moris but I rarely use them. When I do I forget I brought them. I like using Devour Hope a lot and if I get the 5 stacks I will mori someone. I feel I earned it cause I had to work for it.

Bill came to console back in 2019 lol
I don't play console so I wouldn't know. I bought my nephew a copy of the game but for his xbox. He doesn't have a decent PC. I noticed Bill wasn't in the line up back then yet his perks were popping up in the bloodweb.
-
I was expecting another survivor rant about being tunneled. However after reading your descriptions of when it is logical for the killer to tunnel and when it is not, I agree.
There are plenty of reasons why tunneling works in the killers favor but there are some situations where it is abused.
-
Personally, the devs can remove moris if they also remove keys. I feel that's a fair trade. So long as Devour Hope remains unaffected. Getting those 5 stacks is hard work and if you let the killer get them you deserve to get moried.
-
I don't even think console has Bill at all. His perks are automatically in the bloodweb for them but Bill is absent. I think they got the rights to use Bill for PC only because back when they got him they had no intention of crossing platforms.

Trapper: Whispers, Corrupt Intervention, STBFL, Devour Hope
Nurse: BBQ, MYC, PGTW, NC
Ghost Face: Whispers, NC, Ruin+Surveillance.

IMO it's probably SB because of how easy it is to use. The only downside is when you know the killer is occupied and your safe to run to the nearest gen but you don't want to waste it.
Lithe was my 2nd favorite but some claim it hurts your vaulting. If your at a L/T wall and you fast vault your going to want to make use of that lithe and get to a pallet. You could have looped the killer at that jungle gym for longer.
DH is good provided your using it properly. Don't try to bait a swing from the killer. Use it to get that extra distance needed to get to a vault/pallet. It only sucks when your facing killers with a one shot and your healthy.
Head on is more of a meme build. Only really works against a bubba.
Balanced landing is good but half the time I ran it I could never find a hill when I needed it. I swear 1/3 of my matches are on shelter woods when I equip that perk.
-
What drives me crazy is some of the changes the devs make and they believe it's for the greater good. I'm not talking about changes to my side that make my objective a little harder for the sake of balance. I'm talking changes that flat out hurt the game and should never have happened. Like the dreaded 1.9.2 patch, old MoM, nerfing already weak killers the day of their release.
-
Whoever said you had to play by the survivor's rules? I will now quote Tywin Lannister
"A lion does not concern itself with the opinion of the sheep".

That bridge has been burned a long time ago bro. The toxicity of survivors on this game has been unreal ever since the filthy spawn of ochido and his virgin fans.
Pretty much. Survivor mains can say killer has been getting a lot of buffs lately but it's just shows how survivor sided the game is. If killer is oh so powerful how come most people are playing survivor?
-
@OniKobayashi said:
People actually stalk with him? I just go for stealth hits.
Thats pretty much what i do. If i see 2 ill stalk but thats because i can go after one, run into the other, pop my power and expose them during the chase.
@Waffleyumboy said:
Yea the inconsistency between survivors revealing him and him stalking them is really questionable because the devs have said the former is using a system similar to the latter's. I think this feature is okay balance-wise but admittedly it doesn't make sense logically.
It does feel inconsistent sometimes. When i play survivor i have trouble revealing him. Playing as gf, people dont seem to have trouble revealing me. Ive been revealed while standing behind a tree completely blocking los.

yup he is very unfun... the top fun is the Huntress cuz she is a turtle and it is fun to dodge the hatchets
I find the jump scare killers to be fun. It actually feels like a horror game.
-
And despite all these killer sided buffs, there is still hardly anyone playing killer. Sounds to me like they havent fixed the real issues yet.
-
The thing i hate about prestiging is when i want to lvl up the killer but dont want to prestige. If i unlock all the perks on a killer and one day i decide to prestige them. I feel like the more bp i sunk into them the bigger the grave im digging for myself.
-
When the emblems first got here i managed to hit r1 as my trapper. That was back when ruin was useful and i used all my bloody coils to do it. I did it once for the achievement and said never again. Its too frustrating to go against reds ALL the time.
Sadly to hit r1 as killer these days you need to be a try hard. You either need to use a meta killer, meta perks, be very good or a bit of luck. Play enough games and im sure youll get there but in all honestly its not worth it.
Fyi. Corrupt intervention is amazing on trapper. The ruin nerf didnt affect him much because of this perk.
-
@Acromio said:
Because Devour Nope is a ######### perk an no one uses it?
I use it on my trapper all the time. It's amazing when it's in a V shaped structure I can trap. If I get 3 stacks, NO ONE is cleansing that totem unless I am on the other side of the map when they disarm the trap protecting it. If it's not in an obvious spot it's shocking how many survivors don't go looking for it until they get the notification. Once I get those 3 stacks I feel like I am feared. Like I am an actual killer and not something for the survivors to have a match.
-
@Inji said:
DH gets better and better during the match until its cleansed. Where as NOED is an all or nothing due to the fact that it might not activate at all in the match you are playing.
I have the feeling there is allot more to DH than to NOED. With DH you know where it is and know how to protect it. With NOED you kinda give that power away, since you dont have any control over how many dulls are being cleansed.
Its what you prefer to play with.
Also you don't see many people on the forums begging for DH nerfs because the killer had to really work for it. If you get moried by DH the survivors cannot complain because they literally gave that killer 5 stacks.
-
I usually say GG just to be polite. If it's a one sided match or someone was playing toxic/hacking I don't say GG cause I felt it wasn't fair. The only time I get annoyed is when people say "gg ez". To me, saying EZ is saying "you suck".
-
I think more hex perks needs to be like DH. No notice until it's powered up, high risk high reward.
Lullaby is way too much work for too little pay off. Unless the survivors are doing poorly the gens are done by the time you get 5 hooks. The survivors know it's on the field the second they touch a gen before the killer even gets a stack.
Ruin is garbage since it's rework unless your a mobile killer that can chase people off gens. Same problem as lullaby only it's active from the start.
Haunted Grounds really only benefits fast killers.
Third Seal is really for slugging.
Retribution is more of a one time bitter murmur.
NOED is fine the way it is since it's more of a punish perk.
-
This is just my opinion but if you don't want to be stream sniped you shouldn't be streaming.

Nah they are a boring waste of time. Terrible implementation that doesn't currently add anything to the game.
Yeah that's how I feel about them. One more thing for killers to break. I think it would have been better if there were certain window vaults we could break so it was an open door. When the devs mentioned breakable doors I thought "So while I'm breaking a door the survivor has time to run to another pallet?"

Clues:
I feel the devs are purposely making some of the candyman “clues” noticeable on purpose. They know we found out about stranger things from following Joe Kerry and Natalia Dyer on twitter, plus the tweet of Dave saying “things” over and over again. So why would they make the same mistakes for this chapter that’s being hyped up so much?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/476/37D7D3D5-93B3-4548-A1D2-3F569804BE91.jpeg
Like this. This is just way too obvious that it would be candyman, it’s pretty much just saying the next chapter is going to be candyman. I feel like someone from bhvr would’ve said “hey uhh that’s a little bit too obvious” but maybe it’s just me.
Phrases:
- Emotion Milestone
The devs never talked about candyman before and how they would love to have him in the game. The only character they have is pennywise but that’s for another discussion.
- Iconic Horror License
Despite fans who really love him, candyman just isn’t that iconic and isn’t known by everyone instantly like michael myers, freddy, jason, ghostface and so on. Most people overseas don’t even know candyman exists so it’s too bold of words to use for him.
- Classic
Yeah candyman is a classic because it came out in the 90s but that’s about the only thing.
- Iconic Horror Franchise
There’s only been 3 candyman man films (4 with jordan’s), but most have been US only and one was straight to dvd so I wouldn’t say “iconic.”
- Marked The World Of Horror
Again, candyman just isn’t that popular and even though it has a somewhat big fan base, it isn’t known worldwide and as popular as other huge horror icons.
Bonus 👀
Candyman was recently pushed back to september cough when chapter 17 would be released. It wouldn’t make sense to have this chapter be candyman and have the movie be released three months later.
As for the Candyman was pushed back to September part. It actually does make sense. If they made a deal with them to get Candyman the film studio would want him released before the movie to spread the word. That's basically free advertising to try to get more people to see the movie. Some games have even been killed because they signed a deal to use an iconic character in an upcoming movie and they had to push the game out early to meet the deadline.
To any curious, I'm referring to Gears of War 5. They made a deal to use Sarah Conner in the game when Terminator: Dark Fate came out. Their launch was the worst in the franchise and one of my top 5 disappointments in gaming. I don't think it was any one thing that ruined it but I bet the fine print in the contract was they had to release the game before the movie. If it was after the movie released what's the point by then? It wouldn't boost the movies box office because it was already out of the theaters. Not like it would have made a difference either way cause most people knew by the trailer that movie was going to suck.

What if they're camping and none of you have borrowed? Your idea is inherently flawed. And regarding your second point, all 3 of those perks are fine, people complain about them because they don't have the skill to counter.
If the killer is camping, for the most part, they are playing poorly. Or the gates are open and theres no way for them to down someone else before they get to the gate. If a killer is camping do gens and get out. Not all of your are suppose to escape according to the devs. Everyone busts killers wanting a 4k yet people think all 4 survivors should escape.

But, that's abusable if people try to do a 1 for 1, the unhooked has DS, but the killer hooks the person who unhooked him, and then goes for him, which makes DS useless and unfair.
Wait for the killer to leave?

Why are second chance perks inherently broken? Do you want them all removed?
Actually, yes I do. DS, Adren, NOED. Take them all out. I feel they reward bad game play. Keep BT cause that's more for your teams benefit. I remember the days when that used to apply to both unhooker and hooked. That sucked ><

When I hook survivor A, leave, find+chase+down+hook survivor B. Survivor A is saved during all this. Survivor A BT+DS saves Survivor B. I go after Survivor A thinking enough time has passed. I down Survivor A and they still have DS.
That's my issue with the perk. If I hook someone else Survivor A's DS should deactivate because I wasn't tunneling. They came to me. The people who say "The devs never said it was an anti tunnel perk so your arugment is invalid!" That makes it a 2nd chance perk which is even more broken.
-
If it worked on gens not only would it be broken but every survivor would be running autodidact. It would spread like wildfire and they would abuse the ######### out of it until the Devs patched it :P
-
I don't mind the shack. I hate it when I'm on Bedham and they always run to the god damn school. Even after the pallets are gone they can use that to loop me for a good while.
-
Just be happy most killers assume bbq is the best tracking perk. You can do something about that. You can't block whispers. The few that really know how to use whispers are impossible to hide from.
@Sluzzy said:
I actually don't know why it's not unlimited. BBQ is unlimited use perk, Distortion should be unlimited to counter aura reading.
It's finite because you already have numerous ways to avoid bbq. BBQ is also not unlimited. The killer has to hook someone for it to work. The killer at best will only get 12 hooks. You get 3 stacks of distortion. Which is 1/4 of the times a killer can use BBQ. Well it's 4 vs 1 so it scales evenly. A lot of people seem to forget bbq doesn't do a damn thing unless the killer can down someone. If distortion was infinite it would be too powerful. It would not only block bbq but nc, several add ons, and other perks. Survivors will run OoO and be able to see the killer without being seen.
Nothing is wrong with BBQ! Anyone complaining about it are people who don;t want to get off a gen.
-
It probably is candyman because his movie is being rebooted. The devs might get a sweet discount for advertising him as it comes out. Plus the tweet. We all know how they love to tease us. Like when they hinted they were getting the Creeper then they found out his owner is a pedophile.
Jason is pretty much off limits until the law suit is over and those can take years to work out.
It would be pretty cool if we got pinhead and 3 other cenobyites. Like legion they would be an alternate costume.
Silent Hill isn't as big as some of the other horror icons mentioned. Though Candyman isn't that big either imo. The devs aren't going to want a killer a few people know. They want someone who will bring in a ######### ton of people and keep their game going a little bit longer. There is a killer shortage and instead of fixing the game they'll get permission to use someone famous to get more people playing killer. Then they'll see the horrible MM and ask for their money back.

Ghostface is a killer that doesn’t have a power half the time. His power is that he can sneak up on survivors given two circumstances, it’s an indoor map or the survivors are unaware of their surroundings. Alert survivors are gonna hear him coming and are always moving their camera around. Not to mention his reveal mechanic is SUPER buggy and sometimes work for him and sometimes against him. It is not consistent.
Ghostface is like Wraith. He can get an easy early hit but he has no anti-loop ability. He’s gonna get looped easy unlike Deathslinger.
Plus Deathslinger is basically a semi-stealth killer with M&A giving him an easy early hit and able to deal with loops way easier than Ghostface ever could.
I actually believe Deathslinger is better than Huntress, given that the player is good with Deathslinger. Huntress has a clear indication on when she is winding up a hatchet giving the survivor plenty of reaction time. Deathslinger has instant “Aim Down Sights” and gives the survivors NO indication on if he is shooting or not if he quick scopes. Meaning he is basically walking around as a Huntress with a fully charged hatchet at normal speed. It’s better than old machine gun hatchet Huntress.
Deathslinger is good at a 1V1 chase but sucks at snowballing.
You must be going against bad Deathslingers because any good Deathslinger is going to win every chase quickly. He does not take long to down survivors.
You dont hear GF anymore. They removed that when he came out. You dont need an indoor map to sneak as GF, though it helps. You just need to approach from the right angle.
@PBsamichShoe said:
I'll come clean here. I complained when deathslinger first came out ... then I tried playing as him ... 😭
I give you props for doing that. Most people just cry for nerfs. Very few try to play as the thing they hate.
-
If someone steps in a trap for me, odds are they're free in 1-3 tries.
If I'm survivor and I got a RBT on my head. 90% of the time it feels like it's always the 4th box has the key.

“Deathslinger is D tier” that’s funny.
Deathslinger is FAR from D tier and is clearly better than Ghostface.
Ghostface is B tier at the very best.
I wouldnt put deathslinger above gf. GF, even if he doesnt mark people, can get the drop on them by just masking his TR. Deathslinger takes forever to down someone. His power only helps him if people don't know how to dodge or blindly run to windows. He has to land a shot, reel them in and hit them. Then he has to hit them again. Also deathslinger is slow. GF can sneak up on someone, land a hit before the chase even begins. Half the work is done already.
I consider deathslinger to be Huntress's version of bubba. Better off playing the real deal and not the copycat.

The year and 1/2 wait was probably because BHVR had to work out some things with the Nightmare on Elm Street team. Kinda like how Myers and Laurie never had cosmetics since launch 'till last Halloween. They have to get affirmation from the people who own them.
(That was totally off topic.)
That's one more reason I prefer original killers. If they want to do something with them they can just do it. Licensed killers, they need to get permission.
-

You're right. Just look how stronger are the created killers compared to the licenced one.
Licensed Killers are just there to make sheeps buy a DLC/cosmetics.
People are stupid. If you create two killers with the exact same power/ability but one is licensed and the other is not...people are still going to buy the lincensed one because "LOOK GUYS! IT'S MICHEAL MYERS! IT'S GHOSTFACE! OMG I'M SUCH A SHEEP I NEED TO BUY! "
LMAO
Exactly. Notice the top 4 killers are original?
Nurse, Billy, Spirit, Huntress.

The last 2 killers to come out have been good though? Deathslinger and Oni are 2 of the best killers in the game, Plague, Demo and Doctor 2.0 are also decent. The only bad killer we got in 2019 and 2020 so far is GhostFace
Deathslinger was believed to be good at release but then we learned how to play against him. Huntress does his job faster. She doesnt need to aim, hit, reel and hit again. She just needs to throw.
Oni can be strong but he literally feels like a Billy that needs time to warm up. If one phrase can sum up Oni I think its "Why not play as Billy?"
-
A better question would be "do we want Jason in here?"
His game was killed by the law suit. If that crap happens again they won't be able to do anything with him. He'll be put on hold until it's resolved. Unless the devs make him strong(very unlikely) he'll probably be another killer for survivors to bully. Do we really want to put Jay through that?
