Unless your running specific perks medkits give you about 1 maybe 2 heals. Sloppy Butcher and Franklins Demise throw a monkey wrench in that plan. If they are running a medkit build then they aren't running every single 2nd chance perk in the game.
If you think medkits are bad "now" you should have been around when syringes insta healed you.
-
This is exactly why I don't play much anymore. Every time I try a meme build I get a group of try hards. Then I switch to my no nonsense killer build and the next group I come across is a bunch of newbs. Then I feel like the ######### for beating the crap out of them.

IMO new Ruin is stronger (in the right hands) and better designed. The Killer gets value out of it if they are good - if they suck, they dont get any value out of it. Old Ruin was just effortless Slowdown and this should not be in the game. The Killer should be responsible for the Slowdown, not some Perks (Perks like PGTW or Sloppy Butcher require the Killer to do something to keep the Slowdown going, this was not the case with old Ruin).
As Killer, I like it more, but I dont use it, since I hate to use Hex-Perk. I find them stressful, I dont want to be down to three Perks if I am unlucky and I dont want to care for 4 Survivors, Gens AND a Hex-Totem dring the game. Also it is not seen in every game, which is quite nice, I just hated it that people said that you need (old) Ruin, which was not the case.
As Survivor, I liked old Ruin more, I was able to hit Great Skill Checks 8 to 9 times out of 10, so I was not bothered that much. New Ruin is highly annoying if it is not found early and it can be quite frustrating to leave a almost finished Gen (when the Killer comes, for an Unhook, etc.) and know that it will regress, however, the Killer is actively doing something in this case, so it is ok.
I agree new ruin rewards killers applying pressure. Where as old ruin just flat out slowed down the gens with no effort. My issue with new ruin is killers that have mobility are better with it. Old ruin was good on every killer. New ruin isn't as good on a M1 killer.

This is just my opinion, no evidence to back it up. I think the reason PC hates console is because people feel console holds back PC. The game was designed for PC at first and then they ported it to console for more money. That at first caused issues with DLC. Characters that came out on PC weren't released on console till a week later for some reason. I seem to remember some patches were ready to go on PC but were delayed until the console version was ready. That doesn't happen anymore thankfully. The game has a lot of bugs and many people are unhappy with it. Any effort spent into fixing the game is essentially divided across all the different platforms. Every patch there are new bugs. Sometimes there's bugs that only affect consoles and that's more problems to fix. When it was PC only everyone was working to fix the one platform. With more platforms that's splitting up the crew and adding more time to get anything done.
Before someone gives me the "It's a different team" excuse. I'll tell you the same thing I always say when someone brings that up. Any resources put into Plan B are resources being taken away from Plan A. Instead of paying for another team they could have spent that money to hire more employees for the main team.

I personally enjoy running MYC on my Nurse :P

The main reason I always see as to why people stopped playing Billy (And my reason too) is because he's not fun anymore and is the clunkiest-feeling killer in the game. I'm perfectly fine with the overheat, with add-ons it's nonexistent and addonless it's a minor inconvenience at best, but what I'm not fine with is the terrible camera and animations that have sucked the fun out of the killer entirely. If something doesn't look good I'm not gonna have fun playing that something, just look at how most people reacted to the survivor animation changes. Gameplay-wise, it's fine, but visually it's not nice to look at whatsoever and makes the game less fun and worse-feeling overall.
Clunkiest feeling killer in the game? Have you played nurse in the past 2 years?
-
I think the issue with lesser billys is because he got nerfed. Granted the nerf wasn't bad by other standards but it was still a nerf. If a little tiny change is placed upon a killer and someone shouts "Billy is no longer meta" then the mentality will be Billy is weak. I see this happen in several games. Someone gets a slight nerf, they are still effective but many just assume they aren't worth using anymore. Despite not actually trying them out and come to a conclusion themselves.

This comes up EVERY TIME. I heard the court case was finished, so why cant BHVR get a agreement with however won and presto, done.
I heard it was finished then I heard it was still in court. So I haven't a clue whats going on with the franchise.

If your unhappy with the game the best thing you can do is stop playing it. They only make real changes if the player basis drops.

To answer your first question people said Freddy, Bubba, Doc, Spirit and ghostface were weak and they listened to feedback and buffed them now there not bad. They changed auras people hated it but they changed it back. They nerfed every god loop and got rid of Insta heals and BNP.
Let me rephrase the question.
How likely are they to listen to our feedback?
Some of those changes you mentioned were from the ptb and was adjusted quickly. others not to much. Freddy took 2 years to rework. Bubba also took a few years for a rework. Freddy is A tier while I still put bubba in low mid tier. BNP were a plague upon the game and they only nerfed them because killers stopped playing against toolboxes. Insta heals were also heavily abused and took a long time for the devs to fix them. I remember the days of hitting someone as Nurse then as I blink to land a 2nd hit they healed in mid blink.

@NomiNomad said:
Both the DS and OoO changes aren't set in stone. OoO change is perfect in my opinion, DS might get changed more depending on feedback from the PTB.
But in general, yes- People tend to overreact to any change made to this game. These kinds of statements are made all the time, on both sides.
When have they listened to our feedback?
@CornHub said:
Top tier perks being looked at brings out the bad players with the most awful opinions everytime. Lullaby and prove thy self gets nerfed and you get competent discussions, DS & ruin gets nerfed and here comes the worst players imaginable.
Imagine how many people will suck once DS is changed. Like if they removed auto aim from CoD, so many people wouldn't be able to hit the broadside of a barn.

I was expecting some smart ass reply like
How to beat SWF
Step 1: Leave the lobby
Step 2: Watch them wait another 15 mins for another match
-
I'm perfectly fine not being able to communicate with console players. I don't need more people complaining that I do not follow the survivor's rule book for killers.
-
I don't like playing against an infinite T3 Myers with a slugging build.
-
Dumbest rules
Survivor: Every rule in the survivor's rule book for killers.
Killer: Every rule in the killer's rule book for survivors.
-
I hate trying to make a rescue against a camping Freddy. If I'm in the dream world BT doesn't proc.
My favorite are the Wraiths who hook, cloak and just stand there.

A lot of pc players think they are somehow superior to everyone else.
The "platform" is superior but that doesn't make the player superior.(Though it helps) It's like racing. If you have 2 equally skilled drivers, the one with the better vehicle will win.
I think the hate of PC vs Console stems from the fact that many developers create really bad ports to one or the other. I know plenty of games that work flawless on one system but barely gets past the start screen on the other. The developer then has to divert more resources to fixing the crappy port rather than improving the game. I've played 2 MMOs heavily in my life and I can say there comes a point where the console starts to hold back the game. When the graphics get updated enough times they can't go any further because the old gen console can't handle it.
-
The only thing I would change about BT is make it work off killer's proximity to the hook rather than TR.
-
I think the reason there's more rude killers is because there are more survivors playing killer :P
This update sucked. Due to latency and the crappy animations I'm wondering if more survivors are trying killer and their toxicity is spreading.
-
Survivor: David because I want constant access to WGLF.
Killer: Trapper. He requires foresight and there is some sick sadistic pleasure when you lead someone into a trap.
-
Your que times may have improved but for the wrong reasons.
-
If they are trying to get you killed I suppose that's cause to file a report.

For you? Or for millions that might be affected? Show me where it says to turn off DC penalty because one person don't like it. Do something else? Maybe they don't have anything else to do and is just biding time. If you don't like his or her question then why don't you find something else to do??? I bet you got upset with that huh? Exactly. If people want to play even during this time it's their choice. Try respecting that and you'll get respected.
It's sad that you take this thread seriously. OP is complaining about getting a DC penalty when playing during bad weather. BHVR is not responsible for the weather in your area. It's not BHVR's fault you dc'ed because of the weather. If we turned off the DC penalty every single time someone around the world had bad weather then there wouldn't be a dc penalty at all. This entire thread is a joke and I was pointing that out by stating the obvious.
-
How about if the weather is bad you accept there's a chance you might dc or you do something else? If there's a bad thunderstorm when I play I don't expect BVHR to shut off their DC penalty for me.

Why though? I squeal with joy everytime I see multiple flashlights in a lobby. It just means I'll have a bunch of people chasing me instead of doing gens.
I love seeing a full party of flashlights. That when you bring Franklins. When you knock that thing out of their hands it's like Golumn. "LOST, MY PRECIOUS IS LOST"
-
Id say Huntress because her hatchets cause dmg upon impact. Deathslinger has to hit someone with the harpoon, reel them in then hit them.
-
I actually don't have a problem with BT tirggering off killer's distance over their TR. I remember the days when BT worked for both survivors. That sucked. Id be perfectly fine with this change.
-
I make dbd more enjoyable by playing something else.
My nephew, brother and I recently got into warhammer 40k :p

So I've played a lot more recently and tried spirit again since I last played her when she first released (and not even played her a ton) but the two games I got I 4ked and the second I got 3 iridescent emblems and a gold emblem. I used 2 of her green addons (i believe both were movement related). I played against green rank (so not the best but still not push overs).
This is all to say that even though I had hardly any experience with her and having just a basic understanding how she works that she seems very easy to do well with. Im inclined to think she needs a slight nerf that doesnt allow a player to just try her for the first time and do very well with. It was easy to punish survivors waiting to use pallets, easy to track survivors, and easy to exploit survivors errors super easily.
Thoughts?? I play a good mix of killer and survivor and I generally think survivors are favored in the game just to clarify.
Are you sure your only getting 4k because the survivors suck? Thats the first question i ask when i try to figure out if something is op. "Are they good or are their opponents newbs?"
I use Nurse as my 2nd main killer. Nurse is the hardest killer to learn and i do pretty well with her but I suck when playing spirit.
Also the way mmr works is it trys to gauge your skill with each killer. If you hardly played spirit before mmr turned on it thinks your new to her and gives you newer survivors. At least thats how it's suppose to work.

Just play something else until the game isn't in a terrible place. Player counts are already starting to dip. They need to work fast or the suits will start getting angry.
Thats exactly why you play something else. If the player basis dips enough, they panic and work faster.

When Ghostface first came out I brushed through Furtive’s description too quickly and misread it. I actually originally thought each stack removed 4 meters of terror radius in general up to 16m. Played with it a few games because of how amazing it was to be able to work towards shrinking my TR throughout the game then I thought about how broken M&A might make it so I went back and actually read what the perk said lol.
I preferred my fantasy version of the perk much more than what it actually does.
After that I’ve only used furtive maybe a handful of time with nemesis and make your choice for a specific doc build.
I thought the same thing. Hooking the obsession shrinks my tr, that sounds kinda fun. Then i reread it and thought "who made this perk"?
-
5.Furtive Chase. Seriously. WTH is the point of a smaller TR "during" a chase? They already know your there.
-
Just play something else till 4.5.2 comes out.
-
I've been complaining about Nurse bugs since her rework. Welcome to my world.
-
Considering the issue with hit boxes/latency, emblems being broken, the new UI, fat shame spots on certain maps and other bugs. I can see why people wouldn't be playing DBD right now.
-
Wow. That's a new one. Add it to the list I guess.

@Netherstorm said:
I don't get why people complain about keys. They almost never get used successfully. On the new dev stream, they said people who bring keys into the game almost never actually find a hatch and use the key on it.
They also said hardly anyone uses OoO. Does that mean it shouldn't be reworked? Even though in SWFs only 1 person has to bring it and the entire group knows where the killer is.
They also said Nurse has the lowest pick rate. Should we buff the strongest killer in the game?
-
As killer I tend to just hook the 3rd survivor and try to find the hatch before the 4th does. I don't feel like wasting time looking for the 4th then I have to locate the 3rd again. The only thing about the hatch that piss's me off is when a survivor is getting his ass handed to him all game. He hides until all his friends are dead, jumps into the hatch and talks smack because he escaped. Do you think you achieved something? You only got away because you hid until your team died instead of doing the objective. You probably didn't even pip. Escape does not exactly mean a win.

This. We shouldn't have to put any laws in place because parents aren't doing their jobs.
Plus id rather expose kids to them rather than hide them from it. It's like my favorite comedian Gabriel Iglasius said. "My girlfriend is trying to protect her son from the world. I'm trying to prepare him"

I think the only thing that is NOT OP is solo survivor. Pretty sure it's safe to say the entire community can agree to that.
-
Of all the issues with the game currently. The bad UI, the bugs, broken emblem system and the other numerous issues. The tunneling/camping parts are whats ruining it for you?
This problem with face camping is caused by both sides. When survivors rush a hook for a rescue they are adding to the body pile. Thus making face camping work for the killer. That killer than thinks "This seems to be working. I'll keep doing it" Then once they face a real group of survivors they get 1k at best because everyone did gens and left. If more survivors learn to counter face camping you will see less of it. If your being face camped wave your arms to notify your team or bring kindred. Stay on it as long as you can so they can repair gens. It's not fun but it's the best you can do.
Just to throw this out here, the term tunneling is a made up word. Before you accuse the killer of playing toxic put yourself in their position. If you see a healthy survivor and an injured survivor. Which one is the best choice for you to go after? Now for the killers who deliberately ignore other people and go after one person unprovoked. They are either noobs or #########. Can't do anything about the latter. The former can be removed with playtime. Most killers learn it is better to hook 1 and go hunting for another. Constantly going after the same person leaves the other 3 free to repair gens.
As you go up in rank hope that it thins out the herd. Good killers know not to go after just one person or to face camp because it doesn't work against coordinated survivors. Learn to loop to extend the chase. Bring DS. If you play well you will rank up and see less of these noobs. If your being tunneled to death every single match and you can't get time to do anything to rank up. Then learn to stealth. If the killer is going to tunnel the first person he see's to death then don't be the first one to be seen.

I think a lot of people aren't playing the game because of the new UI. Survivors in particular aren't playing because of a crappy hit boxes this update introduced.

If your not happy with the game the best thing you can do is play something else. The devs will only make real improvements if a massive amount of people are upset or the player basis drops drastically.

Yeah I want them fixed as that would allow the. To finally balance her
That's the point. I think the devs don't want to fix her because then they would have to balance her. I believe they are happy that she is in a powerful/buggy state and they don't want to change that because it requires more work.
