Keep in mind Nurse has been buggy for over a year. Ever since her rework her blinks keep glitching or she doesn't go through certain terrain. The fact that this killer has had these bugs for more than a year tells you the devs don't want to touch her.

With all the crap that has happened to this game since the Twin Turds came out, you'd think Behavior would have spent a bit more time working on content to prevent crap like this from happening.
It's not the twins update(although that one did suck) The hit boxes have been whacky since the new UI update. With all the bugs in the game right now I think the devs are afraid to stop adding new content. I think I can say we all agree the game needs a few health updates but while they are doing that, the player basis will dip. Then their investors will probably think the game is dying and pull their funding. It's just a theory but some things have been adding to it. All the events lately have been garbage and we've been getting a ton of daily login awards. If you turn on the game for 10 seconds and turn it off. According to their data your considered an "active" player and that looks good on their charts.

Ok and before anyone complains that I'm satly and you are the exact reason the dc penalty is in place I barely dc but sometimes I just feel like it doesn't make sense like first game as bubba today lyeres granted i played that game through but 2sd game nurse pale rose swamp and the entire game i wasn't enjoying a second of it and i saw no reason to stay but now I have to wait 15min to get into another match so i can warm up with nurse ontop of the like 4min ques and it's just annoying because either i just sit here typing this or i go play another game
I do think the dc penalty is a good addition to dbd granted they should do something about first hook suicides
But it seems counter productive sometimes because i want to practice but when you get the worse map for your killer it's pretty hard to practice and warm up and its reall a turn off when you aren't enjoying a second of your game just to be slapped with a 15 min match making penalty
It would be nice if they could tell the difference between a genuine DC and a salty rage quit but as far as I know, they can't. Normally I'm against DCing unless someone is clearly cheating. If you aren't having fun you are free to DC but you will get hit by a penalty. If you keep doing it, it gets worse. That's all on you. There will be games where you aren't having fun. It doesn't mean you can leave without consequence. Id rather a few people deal with a 5 min ban from an actual DC then people leaving left and right because the killer is spirit, bubba, nurse, they missed their DS, they got hit, <insert every other thing survivors complain about>
I too want them to do something about first hook suicides but I don't know how they can tell they gave up.
Also please learn to use periods. Your entire thread looks like one long sentence.

I predict they fix this in a week and extend the lunar "event"
-
Seriously, if they did just that. The new UI would have been fine. With all the issues with the game right now and the time they spent on this new UI no one asked for. I'm getting the idea they are deliberately working slow on mediocre things to give off the impression they are working.
-
I believe the login rewards are to just give off the impression the game isn't in a bad spot right now. If you turn on the game, collect your reward and turn it off. Their data thinks you played all day

Typical Pyramid Head main player
If he is a typical PH main then why is his photo of Oni?
and your response isn't whitty or smart. It's the typical survivor main that doesn't know how to play against PH and begs for nerfs. You should be thanking the OP.

Id say tunneling was worse in the old days. Due to things people have already stated. Double pallets, infinites, moris ect. The introduction of BBQ was to try to encourage killers to leave the hook and go hunting.

I normally love going against Bubba, but he is the killer where its easiest to see how messed up the latency/hitboxes are right now, if he's chainsawing after you he can hit you from so far, i ran out the exit gates and escaped and he hit me with the saw as i did and i got teleported back like 5 feet into the trial.
Some video footage would helpful.

From a killer perspective it's fine, but on survivor side is where it's messed up.
I guarantee this will be patched within a week and the lunar event will be extended. It's a reoccurring theme with events and patches.

They really weren't.
Nobody asked for those changes. People wanted his insta-saw gone because it had no counterplay.
Instead, BHVR gutted his kit and gave him bugs and animation issues.
....kinda like the Nurse add on rework?

Unless the devs have confirmed and teased it. Assume it is not happening.

Agree. Not as camping, tunnelling, slugging for the 4k. Killers never abuse
The devs have stated there is nothing wrong with any of those.
If your being camped stay on the hook and everyone else do gens.
If your being tunneled bring BT+DS and learn to loop.
If your slugged bring UB.

I do!
Remember when vacuum vaults were changed?
I remember the days when pallet vacuum was a thing. I was glad they got rid of that.
-
Who here remembers patch 1.9.2?
Who here remembers old MoM?
I do and no matter how many years pass. As long as this game is active I will continue to remind them of that mistake and that it was their idea.
-
Honestly as far as the new UI goes. If they just moved everything back to where it was and change the color of the exhaustion CD. It would be fine. They wouldn't have to revert anything. Just move it around.
-
If you think que times are bad now?
There was a third party tool I think called make lobbies great again. It allowed you to mark a player you didn't like and you could never be matched with them again. Sounds good against cheaters right? Well survivors were check marking every single killer that killed them. So match making got screwed up even more. You survivors can't have nice things. You will abuse them.

I'm not spending anymore money until all this ######### gets fixed. Maybe BHVR will finally wake tf up
The issue with me is I've had the game for 4 years and I have all the DLC except the twins. I can get them for free and I dont even want them. My voice isn't that load because they already have my money. Compared to a new player who doesn't know what's good for the game but has yet to buy any of the dlc. They are going to listen to that newbie over me.

@Moxie said:
To apologize like that is to admit they made a mistake.
That is not going to happen. They are already doubling-down on the UI change with not_queen saying "we cannot go back".
Agreed. Removing it is admitting they screwed up and they won't do that if they can help it. In previous patches where we told them "That's a bad idea" and they went through with it anyway. Sometimes they reverted the changes. Others they released another patch adjusting something else to try to level out the damage they caused. That's more work IMO but it's a way they can fix the problem without acknowledging there was a problem.
-
At the end of the day I wonder if the decision about the new UI was even theirs. A youtuber I watched recently theorized all the graphic updates are so they can sell the game on next gen consoles to please their investors. Who knows. Like you said, it is nice when the devs reach out to us.

I generally don't enjoy people with TTV in their names.
As killer they often do something to get my attention because they want to show off their looping skills. Most rage quit when they find out I'm not a newb that can easily be bullied. Then there's the ones that get hooked, they get saved and before being healed they come to me. They get downed again, they pop DS, I catch them again and they call me a tunneler. ######### you came to me!
As survivor it's even worse. Most TTVs I've come across don't repair gens. They are more concerned about putting on a show for their 2 viewers than actually doing the objective. I've seen TTVs with a flashlight literally follow the killer while he is chasing someone else in the hopes of getting a flashlight save. It doesn't matter if they pull it off or not. The time they wasted for that save would have been better spent repairing a gen. Each survivor can be hooked 3 times. They can take 1 hook and recover. In the old days if I was solo and I got a TTV in my lobby I left. Most killers brought an ebony when they saw that. Don't have to worry about that anymore.
-
I've learned that the PTB isn't for feedback purposes. It's to give us a heads up "This is happening whether you like it or not. So get used to it"
-
TL:DR
It's a little more information, that part is good but it's all over the place. They could have just kept everything where it was and it would have been perfectly fine.
-
I haven't played for almost a year. I can keep going :P
The DS changes might bring me back but if this UI stays. Probably not.
-
It's not the first time both sides agreed on something. I like to think we both agreed the Nurse's add ons were broken and needed to be reworked. Shame how that ended. One of the few times both sides come together and the devs did a crappy job fixing the problem.
-
I feel like this UI was designed by someone who doesn't play games. All the information is in 3 different spots. You could literally fit all of that in the bottom left corner. Hell, I've setup a better UI when I was playing MMOs.
-
They are probably waiting for the update to sink in. Let us make up our minds about it. Then pray we changed our minds.
-
It's not just SWF but also the MM. If 4 people are waiting long enough. The game tosses out fairness and feeds them the first available killer.

Glad for it. Since devour and undying is about to be bigger than ever hopefully it'll teach people to do the ######### totems... Just had my first game and it was a nurse with undying devour. She would've gotten that easy 4k had i not cleansed the totems. Though she did still get my three mates but please for the love of god do the totems. Its so easy to do it.
I don't think there is anything that will make randoms do totems. I think the introduction of Inner Strength was the devs secretly saying "Cleanse da bonez"

@Mistikus said:

is that the flashighls and palet saves without timing? do i remember it correct?
Yes. They removed the timing required to pallet stun or flashlight stun the killer during the pick up animation. It made saves very easy. Almost impossible to lose. It was a terrible time to play killer. If someone was downed under a pallet you slugged. You needed like 8 seconds of uninterrupted time to pick them up and get away from the pallet before their friends stunned you. I picked up someone, somebody dropped the pallet, took off running and once the animation finished then I got hit with a stun. If you saw 4 flashlights you lobby dodged or your brought franklins. If you downed someone and there wasn't a nearby wall to face. You didn't pick them up. That patch was the worst for me and the worst part about it was the devs were the people who thought it was a QoL change. That was the day I lost faith in BHVR. It was so bad they reverted it. Think about that. They removed a patch from the game. All that work they put into it and they took it out once they realized how harmful it was to the game. Any other time the community doesn't like a patch they nerf something else to try to mitigate the dmg. Like when they nerfed toolboxes a month after they gutted ruin. Or they say "tough #########. We worked on it and it's here to stay". God forbid if they admit the community was right on this one and they made a mistake.
They still threw that patch away. That's how you know they F@#$ed up.

Worst update in gaming history...easily.
Patch 1.9.2 is still my top pick for worst DBD update.
-
If we don't like the change we can voice our opinion. At least in my country we can :P
-
Considering how toxic this community can be. Why would he want to come back? Seriously. I browse the forums to keep up to date and because I'm bored but if it was my job? If it was something I had to do on a 40 hour basis. Id go postal.
-
Normally a PTB has a purpose but how these devs take our feedback. It feels like were being ignored and the PTB exists as a pillow to soften the blow when the changes hit us.
-
Is there such thing as a rational killer?
-
I like the lore I just feel it's jumbled or we don't have the whole picture. It would be nice if some diehard fan gathered up all the info and made a video on it.

Claudette :P
-
uhhhh welcome to dbd?
Where attraction is easy but retention sucks. Is it no wonder the devs focus more on new chapters than bug fixes?
-
I have to ask. Did the attention grabbers have TTV in their names? I find them to be the worst. They want your attention to show off their looping skills but they rage quit the moment they fail a mind game and get caught.

I always run kindred and a lot of times I end up having to be the one to go for the save since the other ones are stacked on gen.
Sadly that's a random survivor problem. Not something the devs can fix.

I play solo. So should we just let a team mate die on hook if everyone is injured? lol
I said "if you can help it".
If someone is on the hook. Your injured and the other 2 are healthy. Best case scenario is they make the save. It's why I almost always run Kindred when I solo. If everyone is injured then by all means, go for the save.
-

My issue would be per example: you're injured, you save a team mate from the hook, they have DS. You need to get healed, They wont because theyll lose DS.
.....maybe if your injured you shouldn't be saving people if you can help it?
-
@Marigoria said:

They said if you heal someone else DS will deactivate.
Maybe they released new info. The last message I saw didn't specify that. If more than 2 people have DS up then the killer is probably performing well and your going to lose anyway.
-
@Marigoria said:
Honestly as a solo player I'm kinda worried about the fact that people wont want to heal me so they wont lose their DS.
They stated healing your team will not remove DS. It only counts if you heal yourself.

I have the same problem but on PC. Either I'm mashing the spacebar too fast, not enough or it's something else. It only happens once in awhile for me.

@ASpazNamedSteve said:
FINALLY, we're getting to the real questions of DBD.
Oni's flick is definitely one of the best, but I do find Ghostface's very satisfying.
How does GF not cut his fingers while doing that?
-
No, it's not holding the game hostage. Your playing to trapper strengths. In fact, those survivors damned themselves because they allowed it to happen. They chose to repair all the other gens and when it became obvious the last 3 were in an area of death. They got salty. It's not just trapper that does this, though he is probably best at it. I've seen just about every killer do this at one point. It is not against any rules or banable.
-
Oni's wipe is pretty bad ass looking. Not really a wipe but more of a flick but it's something you would see in a samurai movie or anime.
