Well BHVR did what they normally do... what they want.
I'm sorry the whole point of a ptb is to test things, if we cant test it due to a bug wth did they buff it????
I dont care if "they did tests" everything they do has been tested and so many broken things make it into the game.
Flashlights weren't too hard to do to begin with, was just a skill cap people had to learn and was good to encourage players to push to get better.
But they wanted it easier... so they put a buff in PTB, which we couldn't try and could already be too much but they doubled that first change anyway.
BHVR.

They're both problems.
And no, you can't "just let go" to avoid Eruption. With Pain Resonance you can see the aura of the survivor that's about be hooked right before it happens. Eruption has no such tell unless you're in a SWF.
You say that but theres so many survivors that will just let it happen...
People dont want to adept or even try, that's the bigger issue. Alot of things have counters or downsides but the community often wants the counter to be easy..
-
"On that account"
I'm sorry but in what world would anyone want more than one DBD account...
I guess smurfing for easy games but that's kinda...
But yeah the matchmaking sucks, most people cant tell though they just assume X is OP when in reality the matchmaking is just bad. I dont think people realise how inefficient and bad their team is.
-
I dont miss hag, infact hag and trapper are my least favourite killers to verse.
Having said that it wouldn't be so bad to see 1 hag every so often... though theres alot of killers I basically never see like billy, slinger, artist, spirit, pig, myers, doctor...
Tbh I kinda just see wesker, nurse, blight with a few others slightly sprinkled in
-
I dont want BP.
I want a normal game without people rage quitting and giving up just because it didnt go their way.
-
They could at least make me no lose MMR for it... I hate the fact I get punished and likely put in matches i dont belong in because of it.
I also think people that DC, AFK, suicide on hook etc. Should slowly get marked and forced into their own queue so people who just want to play a normal game no matter what can and those who ruin it for others are matched together

We don't need more flashlight nerfs. They're the weakest items in the game we don't need to coddle baby killers who can't figure out that they're being blinded.
Weakest item in the hands of bad players*
Flashlights are very strong, they just have a skill cap as they should. Just because you're bad with them dont mean they're weak. They have so many uses and are so very strong/game changing in games with good players

Killer: For me, hands down NOED. One of the most frustrating perks in the game. Just gives subpar killers free kills at the end of the game. Hate it as survivor, and i refuse to use it as killer on principle.
I mean at least don't hide it. When last gen is done just show survs the exposed status. So they know not to go for yolo unhooks and can at least look for the totem instead of feeding the killer. The amount of games times it turns a 0 or1k game into an unwarranted 3 or 4k is stupid.
If i die to bloodwarden or no way out I can deal with that. But NOED is simply infuriating.
Survivor: no mither. I mean why is it even in the game? It is just actively useless. Should give a huge bp bonus and silence pain grunts totally. Even then it'd still be pretty garbage.
DH.
Just curious how the game would be without it. Like I constantly use it myself and I still see it used so much that killers dont really lunge which is kinda odd...
I dunno be interesting to see how itd play out with killers always lunging and not having to ride a survivors behind lol

So i've played dbd since 2017 and ive taken a little break every now and then (after legion got released for obvious reasons :p) and now. I dont enjoy the game anymore killers have been so hard buffed that every match is a loss if you play soloQ. Teammates run the killer for 10 max 20 sec and DC or just suicides on hook its unplayable unless ur a 3 or 4 man swf or sometimes on rare occasions when you do get decent teammates. Almost half my matches are DCs or suicides on first hook. + There are also a sh*t ton of camping and tunneling like before but whatever :P
Do you guys find the game more enjoyable now or did you like it more a few years earlier? (both killer and survivor)
Played it since its release and its definitely in one of the best spots it could be in. Though I dont agree with the SBMM system at all as it's done so badly...
The one thing that has gotten worse is entitlement, I dunno why but more and more people just give up for any reason they want and its getting really annoying... it's like toxicity went down while entitlement went up.
I'm just sick of my team giving up because its X killer, X map, X perks, got outplayed etc. when in reality theres not much wrong balance wise just the SBMM sucks at calculating skill
-
I dont honestly see the point in discussing anything as it's quite clear BHVR just do what they want.
The flashlight change shows this, we couldn't even try it ourselves as it was bugged and yet they buffed it without any feedback...
I get they did "testing" but everything they have done in the game has been tested, look at the amount of bad decisions went through on their own... so what's the point when they do their own thing anyway
-
They're all exactly the same by base (no powers/addons/perks).
Dont focus on your weapon or anything just try learn the distance you need to be away from the survivors.
If you really wanted to push your lunge to the range where it can almost look desynced you can practice in the tutorial so the very last frame of your swing hit's an object. But it's not really needed just learning the rough range is good enough
-
RNG. With no value calculating
Some maps are just known to be safe pallet heavens though such as giddeon, erie and garden of joy...
Hell they can still spawn 2 pallets in the same loop, bad coding and map understanding...
-
The P100 already says enough, you play too much lol
And god forbid you cant play well, wont look good you play that mich yet still arent good.
Shouldn't get anything for P100, though every 10 prestiges they could probably give some shards. Ill never P100 people as I split the BP between every character
-
Off peak is definitely WAYYYYYY better for solo Q than on peak times.
Doesnt mean you cant still get awful games, BHVR does have the worst SBMM to exist and alot of the playerbase is entitled...
But off peak is so much better I stop playing as it gets later, they aren't gods but at least they do gens more often so... that's a W in my books
-
I just want a game mode that is actually matched correctly where everyone is actually playing the game normally and not filled with entitled players giving up because x reason.
I just want normal games... it's all I want, is it that much to ask...

Never. Hopefully never, the time when sbmm was "working", that time was one of the most stressful and unfun times ever on dbd, they lost thousands of players, no one wants to play comp games every match. Be careful on what u are asking for.
I'm asking for me not to be put on teams that dont do gens at all and go down so fast they could be AFK...
Doesnt need to be perfect but I certainly shouldn't be matched with people that dont do anything and punish me for it...
I cant have fun in a game where its 100% a loss because the matchmaking sucks. It's more stressful being on a team that isnt even playing a normal game than it is to have to try to win in a game especially when my killer matches are full of people doing gens a d understand tiles yet god forbid I play survivor and I'll definitely see People get hit at mega safe pallets with 0 mindgame...
Just doesnt make sense matchmaking wise

I'm not trying to start a killer vs survivor thread, so please keep any pent-up rage to a minimum. This is a thread mostly for fun. :)
Anyway, with that said. Since survivors have Borrowed Time as basekit and are soon to get a version of Unbreakable, I'd like to know what perks, basic or killer specific they would like to see become basekit across the board. (Sorry if this is a bit hypocritical)
Personally, I'd like to see a version of Sloppy Butcher, Whispers, Jolt and Nurses Calling become basekit.
Sloppy - Mostly because I'm still finding my feet as killer, so having a little bit of an extra hand would be nice, but I can understand if it'd be too powerful.
Whispers/Nurses Calling - I have hearing issues IRL so I wear a headset when I play, it helps but I still miss some sound queues. I don't like that I have to waste a perk slot just so I have a chance to hear certain queues, that would help me play the game.
Jolt - I really like a lot of aspects of this perk, the fact it does damage to gens within a set radius is pretty neat. It certainly helps when I'm playing a low-mobility killer and it was one of the first common perks I unlocked.
Depends tbh, if we are talking about just making them base and no other game changes then probably only corrupt (seriously it's kinda stupid survivors can spawn split on multiple gens and even if your first chase is as fast as possible you have lost alot of gen progress)
Other than that I'd aim towards Scourage: pain and thana then make changes to the perks. Killers domt really get rewarded for their actions at base tbh and the should.
I dont play killer really but I'd be nice to see more perks used other than gen defense (though gen defense is needed so I get it) I'd rather killers be rewarded for injures and hooks and balance on hooks instead of kills then if they have some regression at base other perks can be used more often

It usualy comes from Killer side. What is so bad about this map?
Not that I play killer but it's not too hard to analyse why imo.
Its pretty big, while not the biggest it's still big.
Its main building is huge, this often means you can just wait at vantage points and theres not much the killer can do but follow and it's pretty lame
Most tiles are very safe, you can see over/through and alot you can just sit at the pallet and react vault when killers hit certain spots (as long as you dont panic)
Most loops are pretty tall so killers like huntress cant use her power at alot of loops
Theres 0 grass so trapper is basically dead on the map.
Its bright, both floor and tiles meaning it's easy to spot stealth killers.
I dunno just seems like it would suck for most killers in general and that's not even including good loopers etc.
-
Its basically just a coin toss with solo Q because the SBMM is awful...
Like seriously I escape alot and some days it's just pointless logging on because the game constantly puts me with new players and every game is an impossible win, then other days I'm steam rolling killers even though they play better than the previous day.
Some days teams are good, some days they are bad. SBMM really is that bad lol

Yeah I think desync is also a big factor along with frame drops when you have a survivor in a very close FOV.
I've actually started recording clips when I get some crazy desync on hits and I literally lose the survivor for like 1-2 seconds or they kinda dart away from me all laggy, but at like super speed. Not sure if it's certain killers or perk combos, I haven't really found any common scenarios this happens in.
I dont drop frames or lag usually as I'm on the series X but I would assume desync is the main issue.
Like I said I can just hold forwards and lunge and some survivors can do a little wiggle and my camera will just snap and swing even though my lunge wasn't fully done, the survivors are also still infront of me so I'm guessing it auto aimed to where they was because of the desync
A good comparison is when a hooked survivor is being taken by the entity and you swing you will snap up in the air. I guess it's doing that on the survivor but with desync it misses.
360s usually only work against console killers because they dont have high sensitivity btw, you need about 80odd sensitivity to keep up with the survivor. I cant play at 80 or higher but if you're struggling with that try uping your sensitivity if you can
-
I dont play killer much but i can hardly ever lunge anyway because of DH, like seriously I'll be up their ass for ages and watch them do multiple spins and they still hold it...
But yeah some swings are BS, can do a straight lunge and if the survivor does a fast wiggle side to side my lunge just stops as if it connected. Think it's a connection issue with that player tbh, feel the game is aim dressing you to where they should be but arent actually because of desync

While that would tell you a bit more accurately where the killer is, it still wouldn't create a clear difference between them being on the same level as you or not. I guess it depends on how one reads it, though. If they just want it to be a bit more accurate, your method would work. If they want the sound to, say, sound like it's behind a wall to specifically tell people the killer is on the level above/below them, your method would only work if they were running around in the TR to determine if the killer was on their level or not.
Well if you wanted to know exactly all they have to do is add a symbol on the screen ^ = above you - = same level *down arrow* = below you.
Thought I feel that is too much info given, the idea of not knowing actually keeps me focused abit more while on flat maps I can quite easily chill on my phone lol
-
Not that I play killer much but
Erie- honestly too big and too safe, most tiles you can react on the pallet vault or be seen over so it's no mindgame plus stealth killers and trapper just mega hurt on it
Giddeon, hello pallet breaking simulator. Honestly no basic attack killer should win on this, it's so easy to play as survivor and 99% is safe
Midwhich- I dunno alot seems to be just run forwards in a square and less looping.. I like looping
Mothers dwelling- too big
You know theres actually alot of maps I dont like for each there own reason lol. I think alot need changes even if they just slight so each killer can feel good on them... but I dont see that happening and I'm a survivor main so doesnt hurt me, sorry killers...
-
Well if it helps you that's the main thing, not a build I'd use but we're all different and if it helps you win good!
Personally though I use :
Off the record- why not, its stupidly strong and if a killer tries to get me out early I can take an extra hit and last even longer in chase
DH- still an amazing perk, can still put alot of killers in a lose lose situation and its probably the only perk that has somewhat of a skill/mindgame to it (though not alot)
Windows- see what pallets and windows are where, I can plan my route easy and be optional looping while easily seeing dead zones and who's dropping pallets where
Resilience- I can vault faster in chases when injured, can repair gens faster injured too (great against legion/plague) or I can just 99 heal for the benefit until the killer pushes for a chase.
Though my only issue with solo Q is rage quitters (dcs/suicides) or bad matchmaking where I'm put on a team where no one does gens and go down so fast I dont think they know what a loop is lol

I don't think it's a good build, if you can use it only on "Certain maps". So it's a build issue.
"And if the maps are all balanced the same what would be the big deal?" - for my HUGE and OBNOXIOUS EGO, yes. xD
It has something to do with "equality", if you can say... Everyone is equal, so no one aside from RNG should decide the things like map.
Not every build is designed to be the strongest, some are made to be niche and fun which are obviously limited to certain map layouts in general
@Seraphor said:
- There's no way to completely balance maps unless you completely redesign half of them. The simple fact of there being indoor and outdoor maps, means that certain killers like Blight, Billy and Oni will be handicapped, while Ghostface and Myers will have an advantage, and vice versa.
- Maps really aren't as unbalanced as people make out. Even maps like Garden and Joy and Eyrie of Crows are more or less the same layout as any 'square' map with a main building in the middle. Even the 'worst offenders' like RPD, are not 'broken' so much that the result is a foregone conclusion. I have regularly won and lost games as both killer and survivor on all of these maps. Size is a factor though, and most of the issues with these maps are 'details' like ground too light to hide traps, not enough LoS blockers, and janky hitboxes of bushes and twigs.
- Those details should be tweaked and adjusted, so there is stuff that can be done to improve the maps. Mothers Dwelling could be reduced slightly. A few maps darkened here, or lightened there, and hitboxes refined. That would honestly be enough to make all maps 'balanced' in so much as they can be.
- But this still won't be enough for most players. The prevailing mentality among DBD players is "if it slightly inconveniences me, it's the end of the world and I must DC to prove a point." Even though they can play on all maps just fine, they will refuse outright to play on certain maps out of spite. For this reason the best solution is to make map offerings a Hidden Offering, just like Mori's and shrouds.
Well yeah half the maps do need a redesign, just because its take time/effort doesnt mean it's not a good idea.
And yeah indoor and outdoor maps will always be different, and that's fine because it's one variable and I'm sure they can find a middle ground (so if indoor maps are harder to see for survivors give them something else to compensate such as more vaults, just a random idea not thought about it)
But size and safety of tiles that can spawn should be made more neutral no matter the map, big maps just shouldn't exist and there shouldn't be maps with loads of safe pallets and others with none. And killers like trapper, huntress should be considered on maps, there should always be grass in areas and not every loop should be tall (for example the longer side can be shorter in height while the less safe side higher)
I mean you could hide maps, I'd rather them just be made neutral overall so outdoors are similar and indoor ones are similar
@IamFran said:
One of my dreams for this game is the map offerings getting removed, I always found them unhealthy for the game, most of the times are used by survivors for abusing strong maps and some map offerings are never used because nobody likes them.
BHVR released the Sacrificial Ward as a counter offering for maps, but I don't like it, not using a BP offering for using the ward just in case someone is using a map offering is ridiculous, a lot of times nobody is using a map offering and you are losing BP for using that (mostly) useless offering. At least they should implement the lower chance offerings which were removed, removing the current ones and become the lower chance ones an ultra rare offering.
Yeah but if the maps was balanced it wouldn't matter if survivors take you to a farm map. Like you said yourself they would do it to get a competitive advantage at base, they haven't done it to help certain perks/builds but done it simply because it gives them advantage by base.
Now if farm maps was made more balanced all round it wouldn't matter and they would probably be used less
-
@Grigerbest said:
No, I still don't want some random guy from a lobby decide on which map I will play.
Let the RNG decide.
Well say goodbye to more build diversity, some builds and perks only work on X maps.
And if the maps are all balanced the same what would be the big deal?
-
Theres a few possibilities here
- Hes not central of your screen
- Theres not enough of him visible to reveal him
- You have been marked
- You're out of range and hes too far
- The killer is desynced
I use to think the same thing not long after his rework, since I barely see him and every time I did it was impossible to reveal him. But after a little while and versing more I realised the GFs I couldn't reveal had bad connection and and there was latency (can work the other way too, iv revealed through walls)
-
If you look down they can blind you by crouching when within a certain distance so this is why looking up is very important unless you're mid carrying someone and can just turn around

What about me as a killer player though, in this system do I get matched against these DC lobby's? I pretty much get off the game right after someone kills themselves or DCs. The game just turns into work at the point, no competitiveness behind it at all. It's still crazy to me how many of the people on these forums don't understand how bad DC's are for game health and that pretty much all other pvp games will suspend you for weeks after enough leading into perma bans.
Like guys League is literally the biggest game in the world and they make you agree to not leave game's after ONE DC. It takes like 3 DC's to get a suspension for weeks into a perma ban if more accumulate. Balance does not revolve around DC's in any way and you people who are defending it baffle me. Once you hit ready, you are saying "I want to play this game". "You can't make people play a game they don't want to" That's correct but they have already agreed to play and should not be welcomed if they decide they don't after they are in the match already.
Regardless of why you DC yeah you will be matched together. Though this wouldn't be after one DC is would add up over time, this is the only thing they can do besides permanent bans tbh.
And yeah it's crazy how entitled some people are, they just dont have the ability to think about others or beyond their own mindset. It HAS to go their way or they throw a fit, doesnt matter how stupid it is they will stick by it... legit had someone rage quit because I hit them twice with basic attacks as doc without shocking, he insulted me and doc no skill, easy mode etc. Yet this guy got hit by the most basic of attacks possible and still quit and blamed me...

Nurse moves slower than survivors so... she kinda has to use her ability to get around.
Nurse is weird, with long range addons she can be a pest but without shes too easy to beat so it's an awkward spot

Hey don't get me wrong, I get it and it is frustrating as the match is pretty much a waste of time at that point (though I still try to salvage some points or just go next if the killer is an annoying one).
But it still will not change the fact that even those who DC a lot still play most of their matches, otherwise they would never play as they'd always be on a ban. BHVR would know this and understand that banning people too long is counter productive.
But if you want to dodge lobbies that is totally on you and totally fair
The issue is the DC timers reset too fast, while most games you cant DC for a few days to get the ban knocked down while DBD knocks it down daily.
But that's only DCs not even people killing themselves on hook, hell we can be in a good position as a team but if it's not going the way that person wanted they give up and can ruin it for everyone.
The fact is I shouldn't have to make lists to lobby dodge people that are known to DC... like at least put them all together?
One day I played 16games, everyone had a DC/suicide in and these killers werent even strong ones or nothing people just thrown childish strops and gave up.
So if permanent bans aren't something they want to do then they can place people that DC often together so people like me can just play no matter the killer, map or perks used
-
@MaTtRoSiTy said:

Well as I said, that is exactly what they will do (go play something else) if bans are too long and then you end up having less players in the queues and everyone loses.
I am sure BHVR knows this and their hands are somewhat tied as far as how heavy handed they can be with DC penalties
Yeah but are players that DC and give up over every little thing something you want to keep around? Not really...
It gives bad publicity to see it's okay to DC and ruin the game for everyone else and many games have a far smaller playerbase and do really well
Iv started making my own lists and blocking profiles I know DC so I can lobby dodge it. I'm here to have fun and I'drather a proper game that's a 4v1 not games with DCs.
I can have more fun in games with nurse and blight when everyone stays than I can a DC especially early on. I just dont think we should really care for those players happy to ruin it for everyone else.
I dont DC or give up (unless to try give hatch to a teammate) so that's what I expect, I dont care if we win or my team isnt the best but when people DC and give up.... urgh dont need people like that in my life.
They can either ban them more harshly or match them together, I dont mind which just keep them away from me and dont make changes based of entitlement is all I'm saying

Again - you will not have any chance to remove DCs or Hook Suicides completely. This is not possible. But it is possible to lower this number. And this this always be the goal. You will always have players who just DC because they are found first, even when playing against an Add On-less Wraith. You cannot change that.
But there are some factors which need to be looked at. Yes, Slowdown-Perks can be useful. But you dont need 4 of them. Yes, strong Killers and Add Ons are fine. But you dont need Alchemist Ring on Blight or a broken Killer like Nurse to win games.
This is why I said that you should nerf and remove things on a reasonable basis. Not to remove everything because a Survivor has DCed because of it at some point in this games history.
Okay but I'm not trying to remove completely I'm just trying to stop people giving up over every little thing because atm they do...
Seriously I see far too many DCs and rage quits excluding games with nurse/blight and 4 slowdowns.
But you cant change things because of DCs or people will just DC to get their way and that goes for either side and that's awful.
For starters SBMM has to be improved, people are thrown in all over the place and people often blame killer OP and not realise they made mistakes and the killer didnt and the killer is likely higher skilled than they are.
I often see my team misplaced, had people DC verse a huntress and people was going down super fast yet to me that huntress wasn't that good so what's happened is those was mismatched. Same thing happens with nurses, blights and any killer just those killers are naturally stronger so people call for nerfs.
For me they dont need changes, but I'm not asking to balance for me and stuff like nurse attacks made to specials or alc ring gets a change etc. I'm all for but not much else needs a change killer wise until SBMM, maps and rng are addressed.
Would I like to see mor killer perks used? Sure, but I'm not gonna call for nerfs on gen defense because I understand a good solo team can still win especially against most of the roster.
If DCs just happened against 4gen defense nurses and blights fine, but that's not the case and easy games people DC on purely because they got outplayed and that's just selfish
-

You know, not everyone is a godlike player like you with around 120% escape rate in SoloQ. (Or something similar you have bragged about...)
But nope, there are some things which clearly need changes. Nurse is one of them. Stacked Slowdown another, because there is nothing fun nor skillful about stacking 4 Slowdown-Perks to let the game last 30 minutes so that you end up with a Map without Pallets.
This is the only real solution, to remove as many things as reasonable which make people DC. You will always have people who DC because they are found first, but the number can 100% be lowered if reasonable things get nerfed/removed.
Like, I have almost 8k hours in the game, this is more than many other players. And even I am tired of facing Nurse with stacked Slowdown, they are using the strongest thing in the game (Nurse) and prolong the game to such an extend that there is not really any chance for escaping. (Unless you are in a highly coordinated 4 man-SWF)
Nice way to start a discussion by lying, great way to kickstart that anything from you should be taken seriously. Probably just exaggerating everything if you exaggerate that ay.
And once again you're only talking about nurse as if people arent constantly DCing against killers who arent nurse and arent running 0 slowdown.
Kinda seems like you're picking and choosing what parts to focus on, balancing around entitlement and just want it your way.
If you nerf things because people DC then killers could also just DC of they dont like something and then survivors will get nerfed. Seems like a stupid idea doesnt it... or is it only okay for survivors to DC? Either way bad idea.
But you keep attacking people who think people rage quitting and ruining the game for others is a just cause for bans.
Maybe if we DC enough they will remove killer weapons... because you cant tell me killers like billy, wraith, myers, hag, doctor, huntress, slinger etc etc. Needs nerfs because I'm seeing people DC against them.
You know why killers use gen defense, because when survivors have half a brain and they all do gens the games over too fast, that's not fun neither and boring af for survivor.
Edit: if you take 30mins for 5 gens you shouldnt win jesus, if a game lasts that long it's on you and your team being terrible at efficiency
-

This doesn't work.
You know what will happen if you make DC penalties too long? The obvious; people will not play and instead will queue up to play some other game. BHVR know this so they have to balance between making time outs long enough to be annoying but no so aggressive that people stop playing altogether. People who DC will still play full matches most of the time and removing them from the matchmaking pool for too long hurts the game more than DC's.
The reality is you cannot make people play matches they don't want to no matter what you do.
So they can go play another game... clearly they arent enjoying DBD why should they get a free pass to ruin it for others?
Seriously games back on old old gen had more harsh bans and DCs didnt even matter as much in those but a 3v1 is garbage in DBD unlike a 3v4 in a team death match for example.
DC bans just reset too quickly and people are too selfish and entitled
-

Yep, something needs to be done. Like, removing the stuff that makes those people DC or give up? Sure, you will always have people who do that, but the number can be lowered if we adjust Nurse to a non-broken State, remove oppressive Add Ons like Alchemist Ring and stuff like that and remove the ability to stack 500 Slowdown-Perks to let the game last 1 hours so that basically every Killer can win.
But sadly I know exactly that an actual solution was not meant, just "bruh, I want free BPs, ban those players!".
So your solution is nerf everything because people are crying and rage quit? People are legit quitting against every killer regardless or perks and addons.
You're making up excuses and giving in to those entitled players. Seriously I see so many pointless DCs where it would of been a good game but one person had to go ruin it.
I'm not saying nurse couldn't use some changes but I'm not gonna act like people aren't rage quitting out of entitlement. Like seriously can be on giddeon against a basic attack killer and people rage quit...
Some people just really need to check their ego and entitlement or just stop playing.

I'm okay with permanent bans tbh at this point, it's far too common and is just ruining all my fun...
And before someone comes in "what if they had to go or had issues" well you obviously dont get insta banned over 1 or a small number of DCs so stop making up excuses.
Having constant DCs today too.

I've been feeling pretty burnt out of the game, I've been burnt out twice already so this isn't anything new, but I feel like this time it's different.
Before, I'd often switch sides, but now weaker killers and solo survivor feel very lame. Survivor is just constant M1 holding and versing the same anti-loop(anti-fun) killers over and over again. Killer is a complete stomp fest, either I'm the one stomping, or I'm getting absolutely destroyed, and the only way to fix this is to either go full nuclear with the best perks, add-ons, and killers, or go with weaker perks and tank my MMR for like 50 games, and even that doesn't work.
I feel like there's something fundamentally wrong about the game right now, SWF and Nurse rule the game because they are the only viable options to deal with the other side. I was never really about winning 100% all the time, but winning is pretty much the only consistent thing about this game(aside from bring out the worst in people) so I don't blame people for trying hard.
I'm enjoying myself, it's always good to take breaks though and I wont play 7days a week because obviously youd get burnt out.
I'm mainly a solo Q survivor main, I escape pretty often but I wish DCs/hook suicides or bad matchmaking would be fixed. One day I had 16game sin a row with at least 1 DC/hook suicide... that day obviously annoyed me so much and didnt play a few days.
Other than that though, it's fun
EDIT: currently getting camped on first hook by a deathslinger, cant blame him though he lost 3 gens +progress on others in the first chase lol

Wait who's hag? Is that a survivor? Never seen them before

It really depends on what you define as "bad" or "balanced". If you are okay with dying two thirds of the time then the game is in a perfect state for SoloQ. But, if you are someone like me that believes you should have a good chance to escape every other game, then it's in an atrocious spot.
Well I'm Escaping alot, main reasons the killer gets a win is because of bad survivors being mismatched or someone giving up... it's rare I can say "we lost because that killer was really good" and that's a shame...
And it's also not about personal escapes, even if you die often that doesnt mean others arent Escaping in that trial.
Once again though I'd rather matchmaking, DCs/rage quits get sorted as that's what ruins my experience constantly not certain killers/perks. Today alone iv had multiple people rage quit on first hook or down simple due to their own entitlement

SoloQ survivor has arguably been in the worst state it has ever been in for several months now. There appears to be no changes in sight and no explanation as to why it has been left in an abysmal state. Do developers not care about the largest population of their player base? That would be silly wouldn't it? Am I kidding myself in believing that at least once of the developers plays SoloQ to understand the experience?
I went from playing several games a day to just a few a week. I hope someone see's this, the situation is so much worse than you think. I very much enjoy playing survivor, but lately the frustration is enough to make just one game a session a struggle. Please think about doing something to improve the soloQ survivor experience as soon as possible, not 4 patches down the line, something needs to have changed yesterday. I don't think you understand how many survivors have stopped playing in the past few months.
Solo Q isnt actually that bad though, and the reasons it does suck isnt due to balance per say.
I solo Q pretty much every day I get on and the things that really annoy me is DCs, ragequits or bad matchmaking where I'll go against a good killer with basically new players...
Like these issues cant be fixed with solo Q buffs, they require separate changes. God I wish they would I'd love the game so much if they fixed that rubbish

I dont get why they made him this way, the whole idea was based of having patrolling and hunting knights yet both are awful...
Would be better if they allowed you to setup patrols between gens and after have a timed event to trigger a hunt with a mini baby power for himself. This stops the boring gameplay but actually has patrols and hunts
-
I dont understand isnt everything in custom games free and maxed? If customs is all you want to do you dont need the BP?
Personally I dont see why everyone is so hyped about the bots, they're awful and don't really educate on how actual people will play so it's not good in that aspect. Best thing is you can spawn in a bot just to try a killers power or see a map solo
But is there a reason you want to verse bots over real people? Generally curious
-
No matter the challenge there will always be people that farm and throw games for them which is the issue.
While in one trial games definitely make more people do it I'd hate for BHVR to make grindy challenges even more common
Personally they should just make everyone share challenges in the trial, stun challenge? Anyone on your team can stun the killer and you'll get it etc. Will reduce people throwing games for them

Should have turned it around on them stating that there performance let YOU down.
You really think they would even believe or contemplate that idea? Like they thought the basically AFK player did more than I did...
Definitely no way they would take that lol but near the start I did say someone else should do something so I guess I kinda did but woosh tight over their heads

Not my team, read the first post, for the soloQ, when I play killer, I see them everytimes, just running injuried and searching for healing, not doing gen...
So you are versing bad players? Either way we shouldn't buff perks because of bad players being so scared of being injured.
Enjoy the nice easy games before you actually run into people who will happily push gens injured with resilience and have DHs so good youd think it's a program. I'd give anything to have chill players like that just for a game so it will last a decent length and I can go for hooks.
Buffing perks for bad players is never a good choice, ever. For either side.

I run Self-Care and do great T_T
Youre a Rare breed then my friend, I have not seen one selfcare user where iv gone "that was a good player".
Maybe you run other perks to improve it and if not you could be so much stronger dropping it for another perk.
I dont really see selfcare anymore since SBMM apart from the odd player who usually costs us the game anyway as they go down so fast.
So while you may be good I'd still avoid selfcare users, 1in1000 odds or more isnt a gamble I'd take given they choice lol

Great idea, when I see them, injuried, just running everywhere, or doing a gen, trying to loop you and be killed after thirty second, no chance to escape, a game who you can play hit and run, or finishing them in no time...
And the medkit who serve only one or two times, same #########
So because your team are bad and dumb you want perks buffed? Seems like your team are just bad and should get better..
I manage to get through games just fine with a single brown medkit... learn to be good in a chase and being injured isnt that scary especially when you can have DH.
But a selfcare buff is definitely not what I need in solo Q games

It's probably best not to waste time on those conversations, honestly! No matter what explanation, evidence or otherwise you present, they won't ever turn around and admit it. You could have recorded the entire thing and they'll still come up with something.
Best let them deal with that annoyance and leave them to simmer.
I know, I know but I cant help but ask and try to understand the brain fart they call logic lol. Being blamed for the loss when basically a AFK survivor existed was a new one for me so I just had to reply XD
