Valid point. However I can't deny the fact that some perks shift how the games play out. Especially can't ignore the difference of a perk's impact on solo vs. SWF. While some perks may demolish a random group of survivors, it might not cause such trouble for a coordinated SWF.
Yeah but the fact is if we make it so teams with really bad survivors even if it's just 1 can win often anytime you get 4 survivors that can play itll always be a win.
Sad fact is DBD for alot of killers relies on ineffiecnt survivors for gen speed and loops. And while its annoying as hell getting people that dont do gens or give up you can never expect to win those games (as you shouldn't because that's not fair if you can win often with those)
Like I said about the example of versing the same killer, one team his 4x slowdowns did nothing while the other game (because of very bad survivors) we couldn't get past 4 gens left.
Imo a better SBMM and a better system for people that DC/give up would solve this. I escape far more than I lose and my "team" win far more even if i die yet i can remember my losses more as its usually due to someone giving up or people not doing gens.
It sucks I cant say "that killer won because they played really well" often, usually they win because of the above issues and that's what stresses me out in solo Q. Like how can I do the longer chases and still most gens, makes no sense lol

The part where killer adepts need chases and gen defence and sacrifices (with multiple hooks) and random other stuff to fill up the 'I am pressuring you and being malicious' one is just weird. Sure, it gets tied to the monthly reset, which is something, but...? It doesn't challenge you to do your main goal as a Killer with only their perks, it's a random checklist.
Yeah it's why I wish they just changed it, making it a 3/4k by any means seems better.
Makes it less RNG and doesn't punish you for downing too fast etc. Not to mention the games based/balanced of kills so those is basically saying "win as X killer with their perks" just like survivor is
Just feel these achievements should be more enjoyable and reasonable.
-
I just hope I can use snowman as killer so I can do weird interactions lol
Ill will likely lose every game because they're so slow and finding a single survivor as it will be X gens it might be fun?

I'm a casual solo player with what I assume a low MMR rating based on my escapes and almost all of my survivor games end with 5-4 gens left and everyone dying or quitting.
I'm so sick of going against the same pain resonance, dead man switch, eruption etc. builds. The effort I have to put in to complete just a single gen when it gets hit by these meta perks over and over again is absurd.
Trust me, I do understand why killers bring them and I don't blame them at all since they're getting ready to face a competitive, communicating, coordinated SWF with gens as priority and constant CoH pressure. I acknowledge that so please don't invalidate my point to use that as an argument. Two problems can exist at once and we don't have to resort to whataboutism.
But us casual solo players are getting crushed under these circumstances. We don't have to be competitive and equip certain perks to enjoy a game and progress. I also don't want to blame my teammates for their mistakes and create a toxic environment.
Expecting a random player I get matched with to memorize every single perk and calculate their timings, let go off the gen at the right second just to not trigger a potential perk to cover the gen for 30 seconds not to halt team progress etc. is unrealistic.
Maybe we have a player in the team not strong in chases (because they don't have to be) so the killer targets them to hook them over and over again to trigger pain resonance and would you look at that all my progress on this gen is already gone because of my teammate and I have to start over do the same gen for the third time. Okay. Why don't I just give up on hook like the rest of them?
I feel like I'll be dragged to filth for stating this since I know some killer mains get very heated whenever someone speaks up as a survivor on this forum but I had to get this off my chest. There are many other things I could state regarding solo experience but I don't want to make it too long. Thank you for listening.

Killer perks aren't the issue and this is something people need to understand, All killer perks have counters, requirements, setups or drawbacks to them.
And while as a solo Q main survivor main myself I get seeing more perks and killers will always give a more fun experience the fact is alot of killers are weak or need the perks when facing a higher caliber not to mention most people just want decent length games (as survivor I also want longer games, though I feel we should push for hooks not kills)
Now I'm the opposite of you, I'm someone youd called sweaty, tryhard, competitive etc. Even though I just play the game and try to win (still have fun) I'd get those labels (not that i care, never been insults). But if I get other people like me on my team it's an easy W verse most killers and players and the games are over way too fast and it's a huge reason I do solo Q over swf.
But you're highlighting the issue yourself, YOUR TEAM ARE GIVING UP and the usual YOUR TEAM ARENT DOING GENS or cant last long enough in a chase.
^these are player issues and SBMM issues, you shouldn't win games when that's happening and I can only assume those players that do do gens/chases are rated the same because you escape the same (bad sbmm) or backfill which is dumb.
I always refer to the one experience I had, same killer with the same build on the same map. One team we destroyed the killer with them getting 2 hooks, the other game he got a 4k and 4gens. One team just refused to do gens while the other could actually play and did gens.
Long post but basically it's on the survivors and matchmaking. It does suck, I'm fed up with DCs too

You say you have every adept but complain that they are too much of a hassle to get. At this point you are only typing this crap out to add to your post count.
No.
You shouldn't only give feedback because you can't do something.
Just because I have all adepts doesn't mean they couldn't benefit from a change to make them more realistically fair and obtainable without having to lower mmr or keep playing till you verse bad survivors and/or grade reset.
I can suggest changes no matter what, if anything someone who actively does the achievements can give a better feedback than someone who doesnt.
If you only leave feedback because you cant do something you're doing feedback wrong.
Edit: my post count probably wouldn't be so high if I didnt need to reply to silly comments like your or repeat myself as people cant read.
I have a lot of posts because iv been around a long time and post count means nothing so what does that even matter...

Tunneling is very punishable by adept, because other three survivors DOING GENS! And you have no slowdown/second-chance perks to delay that process, so you have to apply pressure on all 4, like a pro. My adept matches 90% was very fun. I like when result, bad or good, is on me, not because someone else. You will say that map could be bad or team to strong, or other thing. But it's just how easy or hard it is, still interesting and fun. Unlike survivor adeps where you dependant on your "team".
And yes, "Outbreak breakout" is super hard. I'm literally grinding it since Wesker release and don't have much progress. Because:
- map offerings are scarce and already all burned
- rare occasion of RPD map in pool
- when it happens, someone probably DC or kill himself on hook
- if not, people don't do gens
- also killer must be not tunneler/camper (which is 50%)
- when miracle happen and all gens are done, it has to be YOU to open the door, not someone else
So, multiplying all probabilities you know how small number in the result?
It is very frustrating, like OP said, "what can I do"?
All my points in that achievement was when I'm the last and successfully do gate tech. Today had 3 RPD maps, no one ever survived, though couldnt say that killers were tournament masters. Definetely casual killers.
I would gladly do all killer adepts all over again for that RPD trash-achievement. 🙏
Eh RPD one you'll get in time, like I said it's not like it's a bad map or anything and like you said you just have to hope someone dont give up which is just stupid in itself to have to say that... like seriously I dont get why so many people just give up but that also screws killer adepts.
And killer adepts are luck of who you verse, if you verse good players as most of the killers you wont win with bad perks. Too many safe tiles and gens are too fast.
Not saying I cant get adepts, I'm saying they arent fun or feel rewarding. I can play worse and get my adept while when I play far better I dont. Its massively dependent on the people you verse and the maps you go on, like I said if I can get 9-10hooks and 4k but not get it that's dumb.
You shouldn't be punished for fast gens and fast chases, fast chases and downs mean you did good and fast gens isnt up to you as not every killer has the map pressure required.
If you verse inefficient players who arent always on gens and dont loop well then yes adepts are very chill, but that's rng if you get those survivors
-
@fake said:
If the MMR is working, then the next survivor you play against should not be as good as the one you just played if you tried and failed for the adept...
But no, well, you know.
Well yeah in theory, just lame you basically have to throw and just wait.
It's my issue with adepts that they just arent possible every game and you have to wait till you get a match with bad survivors.
Even though I have every adept, people love saying I'm bad because I have issues with how killer adepts force you to not verse players beyond a certain level
-

I love killer adepts. It get you to understand killer mechanic and his personal perks. Also adept punish campers and tunnelers, which is awesome. I did all adepts and all was fun, some hard, some not.
Wanna see atrocious achievement? Go do "Outbreak breakout" :)
Actually it doesnt punish tunneling, it makes the adept easier (smart tunneling anyway) because you get easier downs and someone dead faster to reduce the efficiency.
And that achievement isnt hard? It's just long winded because you have to be on RPD and open the gate. Pretty strong map for survivors if you know the layout and can loop/push gens. Even after the change theres a few god pallets and safe pallets to use not to mention it's hard for killers to get around without wasting time

50% usage in a game with over 100 perks is pretty awful and means it is still overused. Also in high MMR, its usually 3-4 people with it.
Oh its definitely not good it's so often used. I mean I get why it is, it's the same reason I always use it every game like OTR because its simply that strong.
It's also a reason I became a survivor main when SBMM got introduced as I was bored of the constant meta, luckily it's not as bad anymore but i still stick with survivor.
Btw there is no high mmr, people love to keep telling me that. It's always a skill issue lol
-
Will there be a chat "do gens" or "stop giving up like a man baby" that actually controls people's minds so they do that?
Because if not it wont fix the biggest issues with solo Q.
Seriously the worst solo Q games are the ones where theres 1 or more members not trying to push gens or someone is being a baby because its X killer, X map or they got outplayed and decide to give up.
If I could avoid those solo Q would be great

Really?because every single lobby when i'm playing killer is at least 1,2 survivors using dead hard.
1-2 isn't so bad, I'm seeing 2 ot more without fail.
But it beats the 4x DH which was just used for distance non stop so bad killers was made even worse.
I still remember most forum members say DH wasnt any good before, still makes me laugh because the same people still like to say I'm just bad lol
Side note though, DH is still always on my builds. Like I said after the change the perk is still stupid strong and in some situations even stronger

Ah the old "you don't play at a high level" defense. Looks like the real problem here is that your skills aren't high enough to do the Adept challenges without taking a few shots to your ego.
You legit tried saying I'm no good... you said it's a me problem.
And if you could actually read half the stuff then you probably would understand.
I have the adepts, that dont take away the fact its luck of getting bad survivors not skill.
I dunno I'd be pretty embarrassed to lose to a adept killer because it's not hard to do gens or loop when they're so heavily restricted.
But you're right, you're the almighty God who can win any match against good survivors in games less than 5mins long. Best DBD player in the world!
Or maybe you cant tell who is good/bad in this game and dont understand how fast games go with efficient survivors.
But sure I'm the bad one, because getting 10hooks and a 4k but not getting it is definitely a me problem 👌👍

It's way more difficult than the survivor's adept, but it's not too bad.
Achievements aren't supposed to be easy. In this case it's the survivor's side that's wrong.
If you compare it with other achievements in the game, it's not even average in term of difficulty or effort required.
I dunno all DBD achievements are easily except killer adepts (because it's just a dice roll if you verse bad survivors) and that one where you have to finish the last gen and escape through a gate as the last survivor (bloody annoying lol)
If it was an achievement that I could say "my skill and knowledge made this possible" or "this achievement was possible every match but it was my fault" I wouldn't mind, but fact is some matches it's just impossible because of the survivors and gen speed... and that's what I dont like.
I dont mind challenges, it's why I do stupid things in games like the dead spaces, evil withins, resident evils etc. On the hardest difficulties meanwhile killer adepts dont feel like my skill earned it, just bad survivors making it possible
-
Hes more fun to verse than play IMO.
I dont mind any killer but trapper tbh, but I wouldn't say hes a killer that I'd say "I wanna verse them" but I also wouldn't care running into a few often.
I just wish the knight was done better, stronger and more interactive for both sides especially as I love the medieval period/theme

Next rank reset try to keep last 3-2 alive and keep slugging them again and again. Then you should get the adept. Tunneling might be good option too to get one quickly out and then you can stop gens getting proggressed.
Tunneling in a smart way is the best option, that slugging can actually hurt your emblems as the emblems punish you everytime they are picked up/healed.
Might not be much but it could be the difference between iri and gold. What you need to aim for is slow gens, 9hooks, 4k

Dude just say "My adept relys with the survivors not doing gens, cant loop and make many mistakes" Own your own play experience, not everyone has the same issues that you do.
Probably because you dont play at a high level?
Didnt want to have to say that but if you truly believe adepts is just your skill and nothing to do with the survivors it's clear you dont play at the top.

Happens, when you are a God at this game. Go down to the Level of us mortals and you will manage.
No, seriously, since you get set back top Ash IV there are so much less complaints about Killer Adepts. And you cannot really believe that all those players go against terrible Survivors all the time and you, only you, go against strong teams constantly.
Yes I know it's easier at ash, and I'm not saying I am the only one to go against good players nor am I saying it's the only thing I see so dont twist and strawman.
I am saying it sucks that the adept heavy relies on RNG of the survivors (bad survivors not doing gens and cant loop) more than your own actual skill and I dont like that.
I do have every adept, I'm just saying I dont like how it's just a dice roll till you are matched with a terrible team instead of being possible every match.

Killer Adepts are one of my favorite things in the game. I don't run any other perks on a killer until I get their Adept challenge done. This helps me learn how to make the most of their power, and then I get an idea of how their perks can synergize with other perks. If I lose matches while I'm doing this, who gives a crap? I don't want to inflate my MMR rating on a killer that I'm only able to win with by using the strongest perks.
You're being fooled to think the adept is dependent on you when it's not.
Sure you can learn the power and sure you can get better with them but that doesnt matter with half the roster against any form of good team that does gens and loops.
Your adept relys with the survivors not doing gens, cant loop and make many mistakes
-
@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
I usualy did my adepts but I think I gave up on them at this point.
It's difficult to do and very stressfull. You have very limited perk options, you have to use best addons and then hope you will get team that isn't great but they are also not baby Survivors since you can't end the game too fast as well. It has to be long game where you end up at the top idealy with all 4 kills. I just hate how stressfull it is and I have to play perks I don't want to run usualy.
Survivor adept on the other hand is easy. You can do it in one game just fine as long as you don't have unlucky game.
Yeah I'm not a fan, but it will bug me too much not to get them since I have everything else.
Though alot of addons can hurt you if they making you down too fast as the chaser emblem doesnt reward you for really fast downs or insta downs.
You basically just have to play and hope you verse a team WAY below your skill and they dont do gens... so if you get a bad map and people do gens really fast you may as well just go AFK because you ain't getting it
-

Orginally it was a 4k (DC's counted as kills) that was a far more fair system than the pointless emblem system.
I 4k a lot with twins but still don't have adept on xbox for them, even after waiting for rank reset I got a 4k & still didn’t get it because I killed them too fast or whatever!
I'm probably mid range mmr on killer because I play more survivor these days & always let one go so I don't rocket up & get reasonably well matched games most of the time.
But since survivors just have to survive to get theirs killers really should just have to kill for their own.
Yeah that's the very old system where pips was just about hook stages and nothing else, good times lol
@Phasmamain said:
It should really just be a 4k tbh. I never bothered with them anyway since I like making my own builds and a lot of teachables don’t synergise with their respective killers (2 of dredge’s perks become useless in nightfall)
Agreed, I only do it so I can sit at 100% completion otherwise it will bug me just missing killer adepts
@Emeal said:
If they changed it to kills then a killer would use those strategies which survivors hate to get what they want. Tunnel and Camp.
You mean like they have to now? Because let me tell you if a killer isn't playing slightly "scummy" and gets their adept you played absolutely dreadful and that killer is way above your skill
@Aven_Fallen said:
I mean, previously I thought that it should be 4 Sacrifices (back then when 1 Hook-Moris were a thing and using them for the Adept would be pretty cheap).
However, since you get reset back to Ash 4 every month, I dont think Killer Adepts are hard to get anymore. Most likely not in the first game, but when I dont even struggle to get them (at Ash-Ranks tho), other Killers will most likely not struggle as well...
Yeah it's easy to get if you verse awful players I agree. But that dont happen often in my games and iv mention this before that some games can go so fast even with 9hooks 4k I dont get it....
That's just not fair, you cant have a system that punishes you for fast gens when you cant pick perks and also have the same system punish you if you down too fast. That's just not fair.
-
You lost on giddeon? Against 110?
That's on you or your team, that maps massively broken.
But yeah the matchmaking does suck, it's almost like kills/escapes dont mean skill. Who would of known lol

@Jarky said:
You can - you even get the prompt at this moment:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/5NCEMN54V0VK/image.png
The issue is, the Deathslinger's hitbox then blocks the area you'd be unhooking from, so he's blocking your ability to unhook from that particular angle.
Not sure if it's been said but the reason you see the prompt is theres space in the unhooking area.
Your actual character isnt quite in position but pressing the prompt would kind suck you in (bit like pallet vacume in the past) it's just to make the prompt abit easier to access and was done in a change to unhook from more angles than just straight ahead.
If the killers position moved closer to you the prompt would go as you no longer have that space to vacuum into to get the save
Hope that helps if you wasnt sure :)
-
It's a thing and always has been since the change to allow people to be hooked/unhooked from more angles.
Its basically the killer stopping you getting enough room to get the save, he can only do this one side of the hook though and cant actually hit the other side without moving but it means they only need to watch one direction.
This is very common with highly competitive players when you stop an unhooking action as the killer will try to push/invade into the unhooking area to stop you having enough room to do it.
It's a fine tactic tbh, its rare and has counters that are so similar to normal unhook. As a solo you need to take bait a hit out, as a duo+ you can approach from all sides anyway.
It's worth noting there have been some bad hook spawns in the past which one side is blocked by an object though I haven't seen that in awhile

It's literally every game in Solo Q.
I can do a gen. I can't force anyone else to do so.
That's called bad matchmaking.
Not every game though, is common you'll have at least one useless player though but hey that's what happens when you have a bad SBMM and think it's like hockey
-
Works for me, only times it dont are when I hit the button a few ms to late
-
It's almost like SBMM doesnt work and people are getting thrown in matches they shouldn't be in...
Even though theres so excuse to give up or DC and I wish people stopped supporting that action having bad matchmaking is definitely not helping game outcomes.
But with bad matchmaking and people giving up/DCing you cant expect to win every match.
Was having this conversation earlier with someone who said X should be nerfed because as survivor you often get paired with far weaker teammates against a good killer. And to I'll say the same thing here, you cant expect to win if your team has weaker players especially if someone gives up or DCs... quite simple because if people then do actually play or get matched correctly the games awfully balanced.
Matchmaking needs to be fixed, and people that DC or give up should be forced to play together after so many instances.

No it isn’t. Solo survivor is 4 random players thrown together and 99% of the time there are 1-2 weak players. If the killer is anywhere average or above the team gets destroyed. 1 - 2 strong players cant carry the team through 5 gens so it’s usually a foregone conclusion that we lost before it even started. I’m not exaggerating. And we need to knock it off with the ‘need nurse in order to compete at high level’ bs. Again… 5% are 4 man swfs. 5% are possibly ‘high level’ games. Making survivors have to face that crap so some player can make sure to win against a 4 man swf is ridiculous.
Yeah weaker players shouldn't be the stronger players... that's kinda how any games goes. If bad players can beat better players that makes no sense.
And you dont need to be swf to be a good survivor and make most killers obsolete, the difference between the 2 is you have to pick nurse or maybe blight if you want to compete at a high level while survivor you can compete at base you just have to actually learn high level play.
If you cant see or understand how survivors can become insanely strong too it's clear you arent close to that level (which is okay, not everyone is as competitive) but you cant moan about the strongest killer in the game being played well beating players as you said "weak players"
If you looking at high level nurses you have to look at high level survivors, and if we arent looking at high level nurses then theres definitely no need to moan as nurse is only so strong in the hands of a good player.

The thing i dont see how long of a setup it is, killers are always searching for gens while trying to spot survivors, If you see a gen being worked on, you kick it and continue. There is no need to cut a chase to kick the gen.
Obviously some killers are not going to use eruption as effective as other. But the faster killers can make this setup not a big deal. Wraith, wesker, Blight, nurse can all apply this purely by speed. Freddy, sadako, dredge and demo can just teleport to a gen to kick it. It is not as big of a deal as many say.
I understand that killers want longer times, but because of perks like Eruption exist are the reason many survivors fully commit to gen repairing so they can rush their objective. Dont get me wrong, the same thing should be done with gen rushing perks so that maybe we could get some fun games where every side does not need the feel to rush their objective as fast as possible
Faster killers can apply the perk faster yeah that's true, it's why the perk can be deadly on blight/nurse.
But I cant agree on all killers that are fast, just because freddy, Sadako, wraith etc. May be able to kick gens fast but they are very weak killers so while they can kick the gens faster to active it their chases should be longer because their powers arent as strong.
But like I said people will be going down too fast or being inefficient which is when you massively notice the perk. And if the game is matched correctly you shouldn't be going down faster against the weaker killers

I am not saying to killswitch the perk, but the effect it has is too strong for being uncounterable. This has always been my stand with Eruption.
If they dont want to give eruption some sort of counterplay is fine by me, but at least tone down the numbers of its effect, or raise the cooldown a little. No other killer perk in this game can give an effect as strong as 25ssec incapacitation but eruption does it while being uncounterable with low cd.
Yes, i understand, but the balance of the perk cannot rely on every survivor overperforming every killer in every chase so that eruption never activates. Imagine if we took old NOED (the one who wasnt Hex) and balanced around survivor never getting hit.
You're still looking at it as a 1v1, if there was an easy 100% counter its be awful.
The downside of the perk is it requires a long setup and then requires you to out play another player just to get value.
Yes the perk can use tweaks sure, but it's not as big of an issue as people claim. More often than not people are being inefficient and bad loopers which the perk punishes most.
Most of the killer roster shouldn't be able to kick multiple gens and get a fast down with the survivors doing alot of gen progress in that time but fact is matches often arent the best matched and rng also doesn't help sometimes.
I feel like I'm the only survivor that seems to understand killers want longer games and the chance to do more in a trial and with no defense they cant do that. The reason these builds can feel oppressive to some is because the killer feels the need to run them to compete against other teams.
I can verse the same killer with the same build but have 2 different random teams. One I'll dominate the other the killer will, nothing changed but the team and that's what is happening here.
You or your team isnt playing well enough to beat that killer, it happens and hell I get mad over games I know are easy wins but I just got a bad team and it happens.
You're welcome to your opinion though as am I, I dont have huge issues with it though just a little tweak is needed nothing drastic

When the Killer was the host exhausted on the ground was a very real thing because the game was way more laggy for Survivors and Killer was the one validating everything, it became more aparent because after Balanced landing nerf, dedicated servers and network improvements people migrated to DH and more people using it, more people complaining about it.
Actually SBMM is what made DH worse, couldn't play a single killer game with 3+DH for distance. The perk was always strong, you just didnt always see it constantly.
You didnt even need a perfect connection because most of the time it was used for distance.
Sbmm and DH is what made me go full survivor main, I wanted to have fun and that wasnt fun lol. Probably not as bad now but game is and always be survivor sided and i dont like how the SBMM is done.
But new DH is just as good as eruption easily. One requires no setup just get injured and have and understanding how it works and the other has a setup and hope you can outplay someone to get a down

I'll answer the two.
Look, if you really are playing soloQ, you should know that you literally cant avoid the effect of eruption when activates. There is no perk combination that can consistently tell you when a teammate is going down.
With this in mind, how can this perk give a 9sec instant regression + 25sec total incapacitation + (now) 6sec of passive gen regressing? All on a single, non-hex perk with low cooldown for the previous mentioned effect.
Seriously, there are several killers that can kick gens and set eruption with no problem. Most people are talking of the requirement of a gen kick like they would need to spend 2-3min for a kick.
You're looking at it as a 1v1, the game is not a 1v1 it's a 4v1.
If your team is on equal skill to the killer the amount of gen progress you make before he can kick all these gens and get a down is far more than he regresses.
Like I said, the perk can do with changes I agree but people definitely over react to a bunch of stuff and always claim its OP/Broken when either they or their team can be to blame more often than not.
Countless games a killer can get loads of value from the perk when chasing my team but if they chase me they get nothing for ages because I can loop.
It's a perk which punishes people doing worse, this is why a better SBMM would actually help. Hell I still see people go down at safe pallets against basic M1 killers... there legit no mindgame and they still mess up lol, we probably shouldn't win games like that
Edit: btw the base regression is 4x slower than 1 survivor so you may as well exclude that, it's why the new ruin is laughable and no one bothers to cleanse it or in fact use it (think I seen it once and it made no impact at all, what a wasted perk lol)

Not to hijack the thread of neediness here… but how well I can play nurse is irrelevant. It’s kind of like saying I don’t know if my food tastes good if I can’t cook it. Or I don’t know if a movie is good if I can’t make one. I’ve played against hundreds of nurses over ~10k hours. I’m fairly well qualified to say an experienced nurse is the strongest killer in the game and i mean seriously… is it even an argument at this point? Everyone on the planet knows Nurse is broken. I never said she was easy to play. The problem is that once one puts the work in to be good at her she’s OPAF and ruins the game.
Survivor is exactly the same thing though, infact nurse is the only killer even slightly able to complete at the higher level and they will still need to tunnel and run noed to get the kills.
Both sides can become insanely strong if one puts the time and effort into it. The only difference is half the killers are limited in potential due to safe loops, no matter how amazing you are at X killer it dont matter if the survivors know how to play safe tiles.
Nurse is not broken, many people win her over and over and if you're on about the very few top % nurses then you can say the same about the top survivors and thus both are broken when not paired correctly.

If you dont have issues with this perk is because you are not playing in soloQ.
"The time it takes a killer to kick all the gens and down someone outplays the positive", are you serious? 9sec of instant regression plus 25 sec of incapacitation is not enough??
I play solo Q all the time, infact it's all I do. I just play at a high level as do the people I verse or have on my team quite often.
And yes the time it takes for a killer to go round kicking all the gens and down someone is a long time, or it should be unless someone is going down stupid fast.
Yes there are times when the perks annoying but its mainly due to a bad SBMM which puts bad inefficient survivors against a good killer etc. Not saying the perk doesnt need tweaks but people are definitely over exaggerating the perk.
Just because it's your experience doesnt mean its everyone's, similar to how loads of people hated Scourage pain/deadmans and wanted it nerfed when all they had to do was let go of the gen for a second.

What Survivors brought:
- 2 Circle of Healings.
- 3 Medkits (2 styptics).
- Eyrie of Crows offering.
They instantly gave up when I started camping when some were running around and others were doing totems.
Imagine I played anyone but Nurse or Blight.
Feel good that whatever Survivors bring, Nurse can always win.
Silly human! You can only make posts like this from the survivors perspective! And you're playing nurse, most of the forums are scared of you lol.
Jokes aside (though they're kinds true) It is kinda funny seeing it backfire on them. I'm a survivor main personally but dont you get bored of just nurse? Not hating or anything I dont mind any killer but dont it get boring?

Call it a fix if you like, but that change made an already very strong uncounterable perk even stronger.
Speak for yourself please, I have no issue with the perk as the time it takes a killer to kick all the gens and down someone outplays the positive they get. Eruption only makes games I would lose due to a bad team lose easier, it basically punishes bad loopers and inefficient players most
But it is a fix, so yes I'll call it a fix.
-
When a gen is damaged by any means it should regress unless touch by a survivor after the damaging action.
It's a fix not a buff
-
DBD isnt a party game.
Everyone takes it so seriously, it's why people always dictate how you should play what you're allowed to use and they complain about everything when it isnt going their way.
The closet thing to a party game i have seen in this game are meme builds on killers which became non existent for me to see since SBMM.
If it was a party game people wouldn't care so much and they would just play any match they went into for fun but that isnt the case as people will just straight up hate on you because you arent going by their rules.
I'll believe DBD is a party game when I see a match of both sides having fun and actually messing around and bot getting mad at each other.
-
Looks like a very easy build to beat, you only have 2 gen defense perks that dont even regress a gen at the speed of one survivor so youd lose...
Unless you're on about inefficient people who dont do gens and struggle looping an M1 killer? If so any build might work on most killers

Because new killer isnsuoer boring to go against,i never expected it but they finally made a killer worse than legion to go against
Your name suits lol.
Legion really isnt that bad, and while some killers are definitely not as fun as others you shouldn't just give up and throw ruining everyone else's game. It's why DC penalties was added, this is just bypassing a bannable offense pretty much

Well i agree with KidneyStoner, he is the next big camper, and that just gets old very fast.
Eh, they arent even camping in these games and its already easy wins if he camps.
Hes a basic M1 and survivors win if you hook trade and people dont just watch him camp (which alot of people seem to do for some reason)
-
@KidneyStoner said:
Although the killer is very weak in chases, he is a console campers wet dream. Up there with bubba and hag. No gameplay, just camp
That makes no sense, what does platform even have to do with that?
And if you're referring to the clear oversight of make your choice working while in your power that's not even strong, as soon as a survivor clocks you do that they trade last second making it an even easier win.
Also bubba can down the saver and the uncooked player with 3 charges, not killer beats the camping ability of bubba lol
@Crowman said:
You'll never make sense of people's decision to rage quit a match, because there's never any logic behind it. People simply are too easily upset.
Yeah you're probably right, it's just annoying so many of my games aren't actually proper games anymore. I wouldn't even say it's that bad just not as fun as others, I guess people are just entitled/selfish with short attention spans.
Just a shame, these players holds back so much fun

Particularly late at night/early in the morning, I always seem to be matched crossplay. It's pretty odd.
Most people that get console is because it's cheap and easy which means its likely to be owned by people who work all day and therefore only get to play towards the afternoon.
Not to mention the amount of consoles way out numbers PC platforms.
-
Blight- really strong with practice, definitely fun getting flicks and curves. Plus your power has mobility and antiloop and you can get away with 2 yellows or yellow and green addon and feel strong still HOWEVER some maps have awful collision and you'll just slide off which is really annoying when you dont want to.
Artist, another strong killer can be fun if you actually know how to play her though she doesnt get away with any perks like blight does but I still rate her 3rd best killer with my build.
Sadako, dont get me wrong it's nice having the map teleportation and some stealth to you with people unable to body block but if you wanna verse good players this probably isnt the pick. There are some people out there that will over hype this killer but that's because of an iri addon and because of 1 player winning a comp (this dont mean much, comps are just random players of all skill levels and when this so called best player went against an actual high comp team they got destroyed). Shes fun to play if you arent versing good players so youd have to judge that yourself
-
You're telling me a killer that has so much going on with a bunch of setup but is really weak, boring to play and easily countered isnt fun to play?
Shocker!
I haven't versed one yet. Just been messing around with the new free flashlight saves

I understand, but then one natural reaction is to stop trying to hook and letting bleed-out.
We'll see pretty quickly if there are actual complains about this.
Yeah but that's just awful gameplay, being slugged is boring when you're that survivor and if you have one flashlight either side it's just free while the 4th can just work on a gen.
It's just not good gameplay, I dont think people understand how much time it can waste just trying to avoid flashlights in the open and how game changing they really can be to be so easy.
Maybe I'm weird and want survivor to have some skillful aspects so I dont get bored and to avoid boring gameplay and get killers to go for more hooks than slug or tunnel people out

Killers have a lot of counterplay against flashlight saves, and it's one survivor not doing gens. Survivors having a somewhat higher chance now of getting flashlight saves if they get in position quickly enough I don't think will be a problem. It will just make this type of gameplay and strategy a bit more accessible for not as experienced survivor players.
Because before, playing for flashlight saves only ever payed off for very good survivor players, while every other survivor player couldn't really make any good use of that tactic, because of how hard it was to pull off. This will just allow that tactic to be more viable among all survivor players.
If it does end up being a problem for many killer players, the devs can adjust the window.
No theres not alot of counters, you wont always down someone next to a wall. And the chance isnt somewhat its basically free which is just bad design. There should be some skill required, it shouldn't just be free.
@drsoontm said:
If it's true, it'll be a slugfest, that's all.
Well if you knew flashlight timings before its basically impossible to fail, even trying to go really early you can get it...
@conqueror_worm__ said:
if it is easier that is great, I'm a console player and find them absolutely impossible
I'm console and flashlight saves wasnt hard to begin with. But with this change you should never miss time a save now...
@Laurie268 said:
So what if they are easy? If people are hitting flashlight saves now, chances are they would’ve hit the save before the update too. Nothing changed for the majority of survivors so stop freaking out
Also not true, that may be the case for very skillful players who always got the timing down but now you can do it so early and get the save anyone can do it as long as they're near the killer... I dont think it's a good change to make it so the lowest skill can easily save someone. It's too game changing.

Exactly. Eruption forces survivors to actually play good if they want to win. All these people complaining about Eruption should really be complaining about teammates not being good in chase or efficient on gens. Because guess what? If you give long chases or are efficient on gens, Eruption doesn't do anything. The killer will get to use it maybe 3 times that match. Really confuses me how people consistently go down in like 20 seconds, or take 10 minutes to do gens, with how bad maps still are. The slowdown granted by perks like Eruption gives killers more time to chase, but it in no way helps them chase better, so I don't know what the big issue is.
As sad as it is people want to win without trying or playing well... I dont personally get how that's even a thing but in DBDs case its seems the popular opinion.
Like everyone wanted pain/deadmans needed when they can physically let go of the gen for a second etc.
Not much I can say tbh, feel like I'm an outcast either way I go lol. I'm a survivor main so killers dont like me, but survivors dont like me because I dont want easy games...
I'm getting pretty bored of easy win because people can actually play or instant loss because some instant rages or people are just hiding avoiding gens and cant loop even safe tile...

As a survivor, I’d love to try to adapt where possible. But there isn’t really a way to just adapt to Eruption. Pain Res has a counter you can adapt to. This doesn’t. It’s way too strong of an effect against solos to not have better counterplay. But at the same time it’s far weaker against survivors on comms who can just call out and let go of gens at the right time. That is terrible perk design.
I would agree with you when it comes to a nerf suggestion like “just put a 5 second delay on Eruption after a down”. Then the perk would be bad because you just let go during the 5 seconds every time and it’d just be the 10% regression and that’s it.
The way you fix Eruption imo is reducing its duration and replacing the incapacitated with a gen block on all affected gens. Then buff the regression 2 or 3% if needed. Less oppressive against solo players and offers survivors more counterplay as they can still do other actions besides working on that gen, but better against SWFs who can’t let go of the gens to avoid the perk, making its effects more consistent across the board.
Yeah the perk doesnt have a direct counter but because of its setup and requirement it doesnt massively need an easy counter just a small tweak.
I personally dont mind versing the perk, the games where i feel it most are games I probably shouldn't win because my team is bad at chases and efficiency on gens.
I guess I'm an out liar as I dont really hate anything versing any killer stuff. I just wish I could see slingers, Billy etc.

The flashlight change is really because of the flashlight nerf. Flashlights were nerfed because killers complained about “tOxIc cLiCkY” and such, even though the public statement claims accessibility. So because survivors can’t immediately readjust the already precise timing required to obtain a blind or save, the devs had to do something to rectify the problem they created by listening to killers complain.
That's just a stupid reason. Things shouldn't get buffed because a toxic/BM act which could also cause harm to people with certain conditions gets removed.
Maybe people should learn the timing and not mess up in the first place OR just keep the flashlight on and swing down then back up to adjust the timing.
The point is they changed the only skillful thing to be easier and then even buffed it further before we could even test...

Not even my main point. BHVR shouldn't nerf anything based on the disparity between solo n' swf. They should, however, buff solo q. Which is frankly astounding that it hasn't happened yet. I do understand that BHVR has other priorities, though.
Solo Q is fine if it had a working SBMM system. Theres legit nothing wrong with solo Q balance, the worst thing is you cant control the skill of your team (SBMM should do this but dont) and then entitled people quitting or giving up for stupid reasons, that's not a balance issue that's just entitlement.
People will physically insta give up verse X killer before the game even starts or you'll have bad teammates verse a good killer, obviously the killer will win. Balance isnt the actual issue...
In eruptions case, the killer physically has to go round and kick every ven and then down people. The amount of gen progress you should of made in that time is way higher than what they killer can get in reward especially if gens are completed. But if we are balancing for bad and inefficient players just slower the time people cant do anything for slightly, though I dunno if it's fair to balance for bad survivors and ignore bad killers but hey ho

im a casual killer main who is forced to bring at least 2 gen regression perks to not get completely stomped.
I dont really play killer because it's far too imbalanced if I verse people my skill but yeah you will always need gen defense unless the survivors are really bad.
Like alot of survivors hate gen defense, I get it I'd like to verse other perks but then I understand because I know how easy survivor is with killers running no gen defense.
Use what you need to use and dont let others tell you different, hell if I play killer I'll use 3-4. I'm actually a really good killer but I want alot of chases and hooks and I cant get that in short games.
I think it's why i main survivor, i can run whatever build i want on any map or character and not have my game ruined as everything else plays the same. Maybe OTR is need to help reduce tunnels but tunnels are just so common because people wanted to balance for kills over hooks...

but only when its killer perks/powers to be countered. If its the other side counters have to be earned....
Well of course, survivor is being made to be for the very casual players and they dont want anything to be too difficult for them.
The flashlight change just shows this, something that wasnt that hard but at least had some sort of a skill cap is being made easier... oh even easier than the first change which we couldn't even test anyway.
Its honestly getting so hard to have fun as survivor, if I'm matched with good players its basically an easy win verse most killers. If I get bad survivors well I cant win because they arent doing gens at all and rather hide...
Neither is fun. Games are suppose to be fun, but atm I can barely get a normal game without a teammate being entitled and quitting for a stupid reason
