Yeah, dude, it actually had a concrete use case. And it still would've been completely useless if you went for the now-injured survivor with no protection
I've seen No Mither get used in dumb anti-slugging builds with flashlights to great effect, it's still a bad perk.
Oh really how exactly am I supposed to go for the now injured survivor when both of them have Dead Hard and it's in the shack with the pallet up. Also I didn't know the survivor had soul guard until I hit her. There's no counter whatsoever to that crap. I simply cannot get them no matter what I do.

I don't think it's For the People by itself. As a perk itself, it's not bad and isn't crazy strong, it's fine. The problem, and their main point, is the amount of second chance perk stacking that can be done. You can stack 5-6+ seconds chance perks in the span of 45-60 seconds and do it quite often. It sucks and it's unfun to have played well, better in fact then your opposition, and not only do you not get a reward for it, you actually get punished for it and could actually lose the match because of it. Not their skills, but of poorly balanced perks and game mechanics.
Thank you.

I can't believe you just complained about For The People.
The way it was used in this particular match was complete BS.

Only his add ons and make the teleport cooldowns longer tbh.
The one add-on that boosts his nightfall charge speed by 66% comes into mind. Also, I would not mind having nightfall last half the time, as it is simply too dark on certain maps. Makes you disoriented quite a lot
Uhm that's the point.

@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
What survivors should do? They have not any mechanic to fight against tunnel & camp? BT and DS are needed perks at this point and they are only perks we have against those strategies.
DH is just broken, it should go.
Use the 100 pallets and god loops that are on every single map.

Um, they are still collecting data. It is too soon to determine if an m1 is viable or not.
This made me laugh lol

Great idea, I like it, rewards the killer for spacing out chases, and makes the match not over in an instant if the spawns are bad.
Some few yikes comments here tho
It's a great idea and would immediately make the game a lot more fun. But no one wants gens to take longer because survivors want to hold m1 for 5 minutes and leave with no meaningful interaction with the killer.
-
@foxsansbox said:
The solution to making Gens take longer CANNOT be that gens simply require more time to complete. It will never fly. Punishing survivors like that would be a disaster and everyone knows it, so it needs to come out of these once-a-day threads.
Did you read my whole post??? When someone dies they get a big speed boost to the gens. How is this punishing survivors? It evens out and allows the killer to go for more chases with less tunneling and camping.

I can't wait to sit on a gen for 2 minutes straight....and then the killer stacks every gen speed perk known to man.
I said slow down perks would be nerfed, reworked.

Monitor and Abuse on Myers.

@ad19970 said:
Half might be overkill, but it definitely needs a noticeable reduction.
The better way would be to turn a lot of those pallets into mindgameable ones, then the number of pallets wouldn't be a problem. But that would probably require way too much of the map to be redesigned.
25% they need to remove 6 or 7 pallets from this map. The room above the bathroom doesn't not need 2 safe pallets in the same room and there should not be 2 god pallets right next to the basement.

@Veinslay said:
Have you considered just waiting it out?? Lol most survivors just dead hard into the wall or end up exhausted on the ground. Sprint Burst is better!
This is the classic dumb argument to defend dead hard. I can't even get into this for the millionth time.

@Crazewtboy said:
Doesn't do anything as far as I'm aware. My question is do you only play Myers as a main? Myers has no real anti-loop and he lacks severely in map pressure. Killers like Sadako, Freddie, Billy, Blight have decent map pressure from quick movement speed/teleportation and killers like Legion, Nurse, Pyramid Head have strong anti-loop which can end chases quickly. I'd say consider trying a few different killers and see if you get decent results. I agree, the gen speeds are way to quick right now, and it is even more efficient for 3 people to work on separate gens than on the same one because of how quick they are and how you can produce pressure. Until that changes, you either need meta perks for gen slowdown or you need a killer to has a fighting chance
Myers is my main but I play all the killers. Some more, some less but I play them all.
-
The 2 biggest problems with the game are the maps and the amount of safe tiles, and gen speeds.
No idea how people can defend gen speed continuously when 1 chase= 3 gens vs good survivors routinely. This is also caused by the safety of the maps where you cant do ######### if your not playing an S tier killer.
I've weaned off the game recently because of the gens popping so fast in a lot of my games. I'm a 2k hour killer. I know how to mindgame, pressure, and get downs. So I'm not trash and a lot of the games it doesn't matter because survivors objective is way to fast.
Gen speed is a massive culprit to camping. 3 gens done 1 hook, why go for more chase when you can camp and make them come to you. If they don't and decide to rush gens it is what it is.
-
It should have 4 tokens like no way out and reduce your terror radius by 4 meters evwrytime you hook someone new. Also not just while in chase, PERIOD.
If they want more perks to be used and nuke the meta then start doing MEANINGFUL BUFFS!
-
@spilledthemayo said:
every tier list I see for killers always ends with Myers being if not D tier to F tier, and this slander will be tolerated no longer. I'm just saying what we all thinking, and its that Micheal is secretly a S tier killer but most people just don't want to admit it. From this day forward I call Mondays to be Micheal Mondays for dbd!
Imo he's low B, high C tier. Not near as bad as everyone says. People seriously underrate how much damage his tier 3 can do especially with bamboozle. BUT his power is outdated and he needs a damn base kit buff already!!!
-
Because the game is unfair. You start the game and the first chase IS THE GAME. You find a survivor that can run you in the beginning and the game is now lopsided beyond recovery. 1 minute and the survivors can complete 60-70% percent of there easy objective. You down someone quickly in the beginning and you have a chance.

I think this would be the best thing to do. Let the current meta perks as is and then go in and improve perks, so that we have more choices in what we bring in.
If you don't do that, then it will wind up the exact same way it is now. A new stale meta where everyone is using the exact same 6 to 8 perks. Don't nerf the current perks, bring the other perks up to the level of the current meta perks.
That won't do anything. People will still use dead hard and slow down every game.
-
Exactly lol
-
I don't do this when I play killer and I haven't been face camped at the start of the game in forever. I don't understand these complaints. They seen fabricated because this is not at all my experience. I don't even use DS and I'd say I get tunneled once every 20 games??? Yet everyone on here is constantly complaining about being tunneled. I feel people have no idea what actual camping and tunneling is.
-
I agree its to easy. I miss a skill once in every 50-100 attempts or so id guess??? Not counting of the killer has oppression, overcharge, or some other perk to make the skill checks more difficult. I think the skill checks should be harder then they are. Perhaps the closer the terror radius is to shrink the skill checks substantially. This would also make it more difficult for survivors to complete gens in your face. Or just do a new mechanic all together with the skill checks.
-
@Mandy said:
It's not just going to be "nerf this perk" - we didn't in fact say nerf, we said reworks etc. There will also be some base game changes that address why some of these perks are used.
So if slowdowns are meta then that means a base game change to gen speed? It just has to mean that.
-
Perk overhaul. I literally can't play killer right now. Every time a survivor uses dead hard to extend a chase it gives me the feeling that I get waking up for work in the morning.
-
The meta has to go, both sides.
-
Losing a game of killer in DBD feels like you are the QB in the Super Bowl and you threw the pick 6 to lose the game. Its feels pretty damn atrocious and I'm not really sure why either.
-
She's weak as hell. M1 killer with a teleport that gets turned off by th3e survivors. Condemned mechanic sucks and her demanifestation doesn't fool anyone who's not a noob at the game.

When I chase someone I dont have fun anymore. Every survivor is going to punish my good play. Theres never the thrill of danger, the survivors are always safe. Even after a they dead hard, it's not satisfying to down a survivor because of how much time they've gained in the chase. I love this game, but every killer game is torture.
Please BHVR, do something.
I agree with you man. As someone who mains Myers DH literally single handedly causes me to lose games. You can fully expect DH to be used for distance to god pallets every game. It's very dumb.
-
I've had bloody noses my entire life. Some are so bad it's like gallons of blood are coming out. Got my nose cauterized twice, didn't help much at all.

@Puddles said:
Nerfing dead hard would be a massive buff to killers, as a lot of survivors rely on this perk as a second chance perk, effectively a 3rd health state.
The devs should touch dead hard after nerfing bloodlust and certain killer addons related to moviment speed.
Bloodlust is a stupid mechanic that effectively rewards the killer for being bad and just pressing W (the same argument can be made for DH).
Bloodlust is to help the killer wirh garbage map design where chases would go on indefinitely. Its not to reward bad killer play lmao
-
Nerf DH make it so there's no interaction with vaults and pallets for 3 seconds after dead harding.
-
Play vs survivor main TTV and use BBQ and they accuse you of sniping every single time. They don't even know what killer perks do.

Playing against 4 man swf who are coordinated and body block is the biggest pile of trash in this game.

Decent survivors don‘t bomb the hook. They‘re gonna finish all the gens, come for a coordinated save, easy 3-4E.
There‘s also no logical structure here. Gens get done quickly, so to stop that the killer ideally wants to force survs into other actions, especially altruism. Ungooking, healing, picking up slugs. Camping pushes semi-decent survivors away from altruistic actions and towards slamming gens. It accomplishes literally the opposite.
I‘m well aware that there‘s plenty of stupid people not doing that even though it makes the most sense, I‘ve written exactly that.
Doesn‘t change the fact that the logic here is highly flawed.
What are the three things survivors hate?
1. Camp
2. Tunnel
3. Slug
I'm talking about proxying the hook not straight up face camping. Cutting off survivors that are coming for the save. If that person cant safe or gets injured then another person will come off gens to come for the save. Unless they want to just let the person on hook die on there first hook and slam gens which most teams don't.
Tunneling someone out early is basically an easy win and slugging depending on what killer your playing can be extremely strong. Literally all of these will pull survivors off gens to protect the victim of the camping, tunneling, slugging.
Lots of solo teams will come off gens unorganized because they aren't coordinated. And lots of swfs will come off gens to save there friend.
The reason killers camp, tunnel and slug is because it's easier then traversing the map and dealing with loads of bullsh*t pallets with no mindgame and going for a million chases. Unless you can down people super quick this is not efficient killer play and that's why survivors like it because it gives them a better chance to win. Mixing hooks takes forever and gens will be done quicker this way vs most teams as opposed to camping tunneling, and slugging. Most killers know there is not enough time to chase every survivor multiple times because THE GENS GO TO FAST!

Makes 0 sense. Camping in that case should make it so you lose all gens at get 1 kill at best if the survivors don‘t coordinate a decent save.
It‘s a terrible way to play against people slamming gens because you‘re enabling them to slam gens unchallenged.
Camping pushes survivors away from doing anything but gens (atleast the somewhat smart ones).
You camp someone and the altruism starts pretty often.
-
Killers camp and tunnel because the gen speeds are laughably fast when survivors play efficient, end of story. As long as a triple gen pop can happen in the first 60-90 seconds of the game killers will never stop camping and tunneling.
-
Monitor & Abuse should be on Myers.
-
Pyramid Head. He can tunnel someone out of the game quickly.
1. Torment survivor, down and hook.
2. Tunnel off hook, down and cage.
3. Tunnel out of the cage, no BT or DS.
-
Entitled survivor.

I like the new Haddonfield, killer main as well.

I won't even take you serious. You play updated Legion and complain about getting outplayed by DH. I 4k'd all day with Legion and went from gold 4 to iri 4. The 4 games I played with Ghostface I got 4 hooks at best. 2 games I got ZERO (crow map)
Ghostface is the worst killer in the game. Along side Trapper and Sadako in my opinion.

@Sluzzy said:
It should be clear by now the Legion buff was entirely too far. The community, especially survivors, is not having a good time against him. There is no counterplay to his power and the amount of time mending all match is absurd. With perks like Sloppy Butcher, Ruin, thanatophobia, and so many of these perks it is literally impossible to do the survivor objective. But most importantly, he is miserable to play against. I would rather play against a Prayer Beads Spirit. I never thought I would ever say such a thing.
As survivor, the teams have only managed to escape once or twice. All the other matches if you look at the player statuses, the entire team is a broken state or mending state 24x7. He is too fast and zero counterplay to his power.
As killer, I played about 5 matches. In 3 of those matches the survivors were paralyzed and I won all 5. I quit playing because it was clearly too easy.
Sure, the new music is nice but it is not a fair game. I hope we get an announcement soon of a correction patch.
You're acting ridiculous. He's still an m1 killer.
-
Yeah that type of use of Dead Hard is total cheese and has no counterplay at all.
-
@TruEternity said:
Really Rpd is worse? Not at all, it doesn't have near infinites with window vaults, and absolute deadzones everywhere else. I would rather play Rpd all day then play Haddonfield once.
RPD has god pallets galore in the hallways, seriously? Lmao
-
@kate_best_girl said:
Theres like 3 windows off the top of my head that are almost uncounterable all of which are easily accessible in houses with the most powerful one being literally accessible from the street. Most killers cannot counter these windows and the amount of them was supposedly a bug. So when are we finally closing off the amount of god windows which spawn in one match?
They reduced the amount of pallets and the middle of the map is a massive deadzone. Idk it seems pretty balanced to me. Survivors have stuff to work with and killers aren't totally helpless anymore like the old haddonfield.
-
@TruEternity said:
This isn't complaining about it being killer sided now, no it's much worse than that. The middle is just gigantic open deadzones, so it has to be killer sided right? Wrong, there are near infinites in the house loops, along with god pallets. So not only does it suck to play as for survivor, but for killer as well, because survivors just hump stupid god loops. I just can't imagine what they were thinking from a gameplay point of view, aesthetically it's great, but that's it. It's all style over substance, and I hate it for that. It needs another rework, it's by far the new worst map, give me RPD and the Game all day, heck even shelter woods or rotten fields, anything but the POS that is new Lampkin.
I disagree. Love it on both sides and it looks creepy like the Halloween films.
-
The backyards, front yards have pallets. On this map the survivors actually have to try and conserve pallets which is how all maps should be. To many maps survivors can just predrop pallets and all 5 gens will be done. There are still strong windows to use in the houses as well.

To be fair, pallet loops are few and far between, and most of them aren't all that safe. It isn't as bad as a map like Shelter Woods but I highly doubt you'll ever see a survivor bring a Strode Realty Key anymore.
Yeah because it's actually balanced now and not BROKEN in favor of survivors.
-
Feels the same.
