"This Topic is very serious and i mean every word i type in this topic"

Since 99% of the forum is Complaining about killers camping-Tunneling-Slugging- etc...

Why not Swap Humans With bots?

    They don't tunnel-they don't slug-they don't camp-They don't get mad-They don't think-they don't have brain

This Is actually what this community needs A killer who's programmed for the survivors amusement

I've been here for some time and i realized any good thing that happens to killer role Will get nerfed by the community so killers can't do anything

This is what this community needs Removing People who can think with Programmed Ai

I'm actually very serious if you wonder Because this is 99% of community's needs

Just Refund the Killer mains and send them on their way So they can find a better game to enjoy Cuz this is obviously not a place for someone who wants to Play by his rules

Make sure this killer can only play clown

title, just want to know why you guys think that is? and when do we start crying about it like dead hard?

Distortion with its recent buffs it'd q good perk and counters lethal considering it still builds in chase

OP's blatant bias and posting history is a highlight of my forum visits.

This is the entire post with click bait

But here's a question what's a fix only for the solo player that dosent make playing killer not fun either

  • Diversion, distortion

don't go well together but diversion is fun and distortion is usefull if they have any type of aura reading

  • @HungrySnek said:

I want to play killer a bit more since I find huntress, Blight and wesker pretty fun and enjoy them right now more then dying first hook 2/3 rounds with kindred just because I play Soloq.

But I face the same problem over and over again and don't really know what to do in these scenarios. I face a survivor and notice that he wastes my Team since he is a good looper, so I leave the change and search for the next one. But then the other ones are good at Looping too and I lose.

I tried to bring chase perks but then the gens get finished to quickly. Then I tried to chase 1 survivor until there where no pallets anymore with a endgame build but this didn't help really too.

    Does someone has some tips?

If all of them can loop force them to drop pallets

don't respect them eventually they will drop pallets at the right time when huntress can hit them if they do

And then make a dead zone of the map where all the pallets have been used and chase surivors in or into that dead zone

Recommend you bring dead lock or corrupt if you try this strategy

This will often end up in a 3or 4 gen situation but better than free roam for surivors

  • Can you show me this source where it's been confirmed?

I don't think this is bad if introduced but right now this thread is looking like a yt click bate vid

I edited the title of your link to my post after there was 100% conformation inorder to avoid miscommunication

  • @TeabaggingGhostface said:

The main problem is the auto dead hard hack imo

I've figured a way to kinda bait it and to find out if someone's cheating when they drop a pallet smack it with a lunge if they dead hard it's because their script can't tell there's a pallet in the way and will activate thinking their in danger.

This gives away they are cheating because any normal surivor won't activate deadhead on the other side of a pallet 2 for 1 you get confirmation they are cheating and you get rid of deadhead

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1scyTnscTRDl1oJajEQicLs2Exs4jDsy4/view

That link is to the entire concept, story, perks, power, addons and even concept art. Fully organized with a proper table of contents. The rest of the post is simply the overview.

If you have any questions or feedback I'd love to talk about it.

    Overview

The Doppelgänger is a Skinwalker that uses eldritch magicks to steal the appearance of unfortunate souls. Using the power of Isolation, the Doppelgänger forces survivors into a shifted plane of existence where their fellow survivors cannot see, hear, or help them while the killer wears their faces like a mask.

Her personal perks, Hex: Supervision, Don’t Leave Yet, and Still Out There, allow her to monitor survivors’ shared auras, block the Exit Gate, and use the survivor’s paranoia against them.

    Difficulty Rating: Moderate

    Power: Isolation

When the Doppelgänger’s power is fully charged, the killer can activate the ability ‘Steal Form.’ This will change the Doppelgänger’s appearance to be that of the survivors for 60 seconds.

Stealing a form will ‘Isolate’ a survivor into a shifted plane where they cannot see or interact with other survivors. Stealing a form will trade the survivor and killer’s positions. Isolated survivors are affected by the Oblivious status effect and hear a Lullaby.

Isolated survivors will become temporarily visible and can use the ‘Unhook’ action within 6 meters of a hooked survivor. Isolation ends automatically after 60 seconds.

Isolated survivors see eyes rip through the fabric of reality whenever they disturb a crow that will watch their every move. The Doppelgänger will see Aura’s of the eyes.

    Power: Steal Form

When a form is stolen, it will put the killer into a ‘disguised’ state to non-isolated survivors. While disguised, the killer is granted Undetectable. Press the Activate Ability button to unsheathe your weapon and drop disguise. The Doppelgänger’s movement speed will be 4.2 when disguised.

Use the Activate Ability button to disguise again anytime there is an isolated survivor.

When using a stolen form, the Doppelgänger can interact with generators and perform healing actions. Any interactions with survivors will fill up ‘fake progress’ that will vanish once the Doppelgänger lets go. Any cooperative action will incur a 50% penalty with ‘fake progress’ filling in the penalty until five seconds after the Doppelgänger lets go.

When using a stolen form, the Doppelgänger can fast vault. Whenever the Doppelgänger does a vault for the first time within a single Isolation, she will gain a token.

Her first token will raise her movement speed to 4.8.

Her second token will raise her movement speed to 5.2.

Her third token will raise her movement speed to 5.6.

Tokens will decrease at a rate of 7 seconds for the maximum token achieved. Each subsequent token will fall off at a rate of -2 seconds compared to the previous token.

They make the survivor hit by their power "lag" backwars to their position 5 second ago

That sounds like a cool killer idea

    the guardian

A powerful killer that has had their mind rotted due to their obsession for power

    Base speed 4.2ms

    Power the time stone shard

A fragmented shard of a powerful Stone broken to limit his power

Press and hold the ability button to reverse time half if the time you have not used this power the longest you can wait to use this power is 90s if you wait the full 90s the fragment will become unstable and rewind time to a random point within those 90s

ex if you wait 30s to use this power time will rewind 15s

The guardian is only rewinded a quarter of the time ( any pallets destroyed within the time line will be restored but generators cab also be restored)

  • @Friendly_Blendette said:

There is way too many people that have prepared for this XD.

    General aesthetic:

Undead half fish pirate. Think Davy Jones' crew from Pirates Of The Caribbean but a bit more decomposed. Weapon would be a barnacle crusted cutlass.

    Power:

Still drawing a blank as to what to actually name it

    “WIP Whirlpool”

You start the trial with 10 tokens. Pressing M2 will make you enter your placing mode. While in your placing mode you move significantly slower (2 m/s?)

(this isn't designed to be like freddy where you place them mid chase this is probably closer to hag I was considering a full stop like trapper and hag but i think that would make the whole rotating part too difficult to implement smoothly )

While in placing mode you will see an outline of a whirlpool along with a directional indicator, pressing and holding M2 again will rotate the direction of the whirlpool and pressing CTRL will finalise its placement with a brief animation of tentacles bursting through the ground and the whirlpool being formed and a token is consumed.

(Whirlpools all look identical to the killer and the survivor without addons to try to create a gameplay of trying to get into the killers head and also just to increase the skill of the killer cause you have to remember how you set up your whirlpools)

When either a survivor or the killer walk over a whirlpool they will be pushed in the direction the whirlpool was placed (think a smaller blight rush around the length of a pyramid head attack with range addons) multiple pools can be chained together and the second poll with grant a significantly longer push. When the killer finishes uses a whirlpool a loud wave sound will be heard globally

A treasure chest will always spawn in the main building that contains 4 sponges, its aura will always be shown to survivors in white and when it is opened it will change to yellow, 15 seconds after being opened the chest will close again. After picking up a sponge survivors can interact with whirlpools and remove them, however doing so will make them scream. Sponges can be dropped and if they are not picked up within 20 seconds they will return to the treasure chest.

    .

    Addons

Im not going to bother doing all addons the main ones that are gonna be like brown yellow green at different strengths would be token amount 1/2/3, push strength 10/15/20% and pool size 10/15/20%.

    Browns:

    Broken Compass

Reveal the direction of whirlpools to survivors

Grants 100% extra bloodpoints to push events

    Yellow:

    Rusted Telescope

Allows you to see the direction of previously placed whirlpools

    Serrated Dagger

Survivors hit within 5 seconds of being pushed have mangled and haemorrhage inflicted

    Green:

    Traitor’s Hook

Hitting a survivor carrying a sponge will instantly send it back to the treasure chest

    Marked Deck

The treasure chest no longer contains sponges

The treasure chest is always open

The treasure chest contains 6 random items of a reduced quality

    Purple:

    Whale Bone Hilt

Your movement speed is lowered to 110%

    You gain 6 extra tokens

    Kraken Tale

Hitting a survivor that has been pushed within the last 5 seconds will reduce your weapon cooldown by 20%

    Shark Tooth Necklace

Show the aura of survivors drying up whirlpools

    Severed Tentacle

All items dropped for longer than 20 seconds will be returned to the treasure chest.

    Pinks:

    Kraken's Eye

If a survivor collides with an object after being pushed they will be dealt a healthstate

    Remove 4 tokens

    Iridescent  Treasures

Remove the global wave sound for using a whirlpool

Grant undetectable while being pushed by a whirlpool and for 10 seconds afterwards

    Perks:

I want to see a new type of “cursed” perk or something along those lines that offer a trade-off for equipping them and aren’t straight buffs and need to be played around properly or they will hurt you more than they benefit you. I did 6 perks just for shits and giggles and so you could have 3 perks if you don't like the curse idea. Pick the 3 you like the most.

    Curse: Relentless

You're breaking speed of pallets is increased by 50%

Your stun duration is increased by 100% (100% to avoid it being negated by Enduring)

    Curse: The Black Spot

    After hitting a the obsession:

-all other survivors gain a 10% hindered for 5 seconds followed by a 5% for a further 10 seconds

-the obsession changes to a random other player

Hitting a survivor that is not your obsession changes them to your obsession reveals your aura to survivors except the obsession for 5 seconds and grants a 10% haste for 5 seconds

While this perk is equiped 2 obsessions spawn in the match

    Curse: Fresh Bait

While a survivor is hooked this perk activates:

-While within 24 metres of a hooked survivor gain 10% hindered

-While outside of 24 metres of a hooked survivor gain 10% haste that lingers for 5 seconds after the survivor is unhooked

    From The Depths

Whenever your aura is revealed, grant killer instinct on the survivor that revealed you for 10 seconds.

    Davy Jones’ Locker

After hooking a survivor in the basement all survivors scream revealing their location for 4 seconds and you gain a 15% haste for 5 seconds

    Fruits of the Hunt

Upon hitting a survivor with a basic attack they are inflicted with broken until you hit another survivor with a basic attack

Woah that's a lot well made

    The Developer

The Developer is a game developer driven mad by the impossible demands placed on her by players.

I don't have a good idea for her powers, but her mori should be shoving a keyboard in the survivors mouth sideways then stomping down so hard severs their head from the upper jaw on up.

Lol here's a cool idea. Power hold m2 to pull out a tablet slowing down to 2.2ms hold the m1 button for 2s to create a wall at max of 8m ahead of you that us 3m thick and 5m wide

If they are standing on this wall when it rises they will be lifted enough to get a stagger from falling and if they hit a ceiling they will lose a health state

This stays in place for 15s or untill a new eall us placed

This creates mutli use power great in chases to block loops

you could use it to lift yourself to reach drops to gain vertical lift quickly hide yourself for mind games do to even injure people if they are indoors

So I've reported some of these things as bugs, some of them as issues that needed addressing and so far BHVR has mostly if not completely ignored them and now instead added JPEG at the boot screen.

Please, upvote this thread and talk about it. We need to get BHVR to address the issues at hand.

    INSANE MAP FLICKERING

Haddonfield Lights - The New Haddonfield has been reported as an insane seizure fest for a while now and BHVR has done nothing to address or even acknowledge the issues. All lights in all houses occasionally (rather often really) start flickering at insanely high speeds until the generator is done - enough to even make some non-photo-sensitive folk uncomfortable.

Springwood & Lery's Lights - All of these maps have the same issues, thankfully it's not as ######### bad as Haddonfield. There are still very intense and really stupid at their current rate.

Additionally,I've also encountered insane shack texture flickering on Eyrie of Crows - for some reason the LOD keeps switching at insane speeds. There's been a lot more LOD flickering on the new RPD too.

    THE MENUS

The menus in DBD - along with the bloody prestige highlights and archives menus and all the effects in it just start going at thousand times the normal speed. This is just..really hard on the eyes. It looks like this has been a bug since the dawn of DBD and BHVR never bothered to fix it. How about you do,dear developers.

    THE KILLERS

The Onryo - This has been a killer with many concerns brought about by me specifically and some community members in the thread. I was very saddened to see that not all of our concerns were addressed. I personally still cant play that Killer in non-windowed mode and for slightly prolonged periods of time - the static VFX while demanifested is too intense. It needs to either be optionally turned off or toned down.

The Doctor - Do I even need to explain him? Delete it or again, bring a photosensitivity option.

You dont just slap a seizure warning and call it a day. That's legal mumbo jumbo. I want to see actions. I want to see this be the start to make DBD actually accessible. I've heard plenty of concerns from people hard of hearing and even a lot of people talking about how your color blindness options are not enough. I'd love to see people who know more about those issues due to their own experience to come and weigh on this.

BHVR needs to up their game.

They added a seizure warning you probably skipped it

Exactly it's a mix of fire up and and cope de grace

  • @Mandy said:

The change to the grab detection area on survivor was not a bug fix, that's an actual killer change, hence not listed on the bug fix section of the patch notes. So yes, that's considered to be a buff as it has increased the detection area from the release of the Chapter on Live.

And I'm happy that people are finding that the 30cm grab detection zone feels better - it's definitely something we changed based on the feedback we received.

Thanks for conveying the message and letting us know if a change was coming

  • I've gotten pretty consistent 4-6 times a game if the surivor is in a bad spot at any loop I rarely hit them

Dosent help that 3 of them should of been injures and I miss 2 or 3 grabs by like 10cm ish

  • Probably with the hot fix that gonna change his detection zone

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3173989#Comment_3173989

I'm gonna be honest I meant like a tiny icon in the bottom right near the perks

Oh okay you could do that easily

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3173983#Comment_3173983

You know how a lot of people are able to tune out the background noise and just focus on the perk icon? Just give a little indicator. Make it visual-based, not sound-based, which then also helps accessibility for hard-of-hearing people too.

This cab also work but it would have to be suble them because even the doctors static effect around the edge of his screen makes me not focus on the surivor even if its for just a small sec.

Maybe like some sort of semi transparent effect. So it's not blocking your screen?

  • @Sepex said:

Entity gargling in your ear would make it unplayable for me.

How so like ita just distracting? Or is it too loud?

And if it was distracting how would you make it leas distracting

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

    Honestly? I'd quit.

I cannot deal with background noise. It messes up any and all focus I have and makes me play like garbage. I've learned DBD without Whispers so that perk is essentially background noise now and I cannot play with it, ever. It's the exact same reason I couldn't deal with old Discordance - the constant noise notifications would massively stress me out and make me actively play worse because I couldn't focus on the trial.

I don't want to spend another 1.5k hours to relearn dbd because of something like this. If we're adding it, it can't be more noise in the background.

Huh really? do you have any ideas to make it less distracting then?

  • @Pulsar said:

I've been playing him too much.

    Here's my build:

Dissolution: Force people into bad scenario's. Vault the pallet and die or don't and die. I've been getting a lot of good use out of it, but some matches it doesn't do anything.

STBFL: Until his power is fixed, I think it's best used for zoning. Rely on his M1 but force them to respect his M2.

PR: It makes gens regress and you don't have to kick them. It's good.

Bamboozle: Faster window vaults almost always guarantees a hit, due to speed and the Entity Block.

Add-Ons: Jewel Beetle and Lion Medallion. His Throw is so much better than the Slam it isn't even funny. You want to be throwing people into walls as often as possible, if you choose to use his power.

Really I've been running uroboros tendrils to keep in distance of the surivor and leather gloves for faster recharge to land a dash quicker

    Perks bbq and scourge pain

    Monitor and lethal

  • @dspaceman20 said:

I'm thinking about running a for the people build. What is your suggestions for this build?

Boon circle of cheating (heals for everyone while your broken)

vigil recover from broken 30% faster

for the people it's the build

    , dead hard or unbreakable

dead head to save you from down possibly

Unbreakable to recover when does or exponential

  • @xni6_ said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3173532#Comment_3173532

so in your idea, the base whispers are 40m, and running the perk makes the closer 32m directional. the dead area i was talking about was the 8m where its not directional, even tho youre running the perk

Okay yeah that's Allright. Got a little bit confused but that makes sense

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3173520#Comment_3173520

Well, sure, I guess it is not AS bad as the heartbeat. But I still wouldn't want to hear that nonsense in my ear unless I was searching. It might be nice if it activated like insidious, perhaps.

Ohh whispers dosent make any noise to the surivors it never has whispers is a noise only to killer always has been

  • @xni6_ said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3173518#Comment_3173518

that could work, but 40m also could be a detriment for killers, since the whisper sounds can be annoying

maybe have it 32m base, but the actual perk has it so theres no dead area where its non directional (so if you hear the whispers, its directional)

Okay but please explain this dead area like you get close enough to surivor it deactivates or is no longer directional

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

It would make killer as annoying to play as survivor. I hate the noise pollution.

The noise whispers makes is shrouded out by every chase music

  • @xni6_ said:

itd be nice, but what would the actual perk do?

maybe base whispers as 32m non directional. and real whispers 24m and directional?

also the argument for last survivor, maybe have it work like chain hunt in that it doesnt exist if theres only 1 player standing (i dont think thats even necessary tho tbh)

I never even thought of the idea of making the perk directional.

    Idea

base when you get within 40m of a surivor you hear that noise whispers makes this stops when there is one surivor alive

Perk then you get within 32m of a surivor the audio becomes directional

  • @Massquwatt said:

If we're making stuff basekit for killer it might as well be bbq. It's not a bad perk but it's pretty redundant on most killers these days since you don't get the bp boost on it anymore so you might as well just give it out to everyone for free.

Like bt sure if it helps stop camping while we're at it why don't we give noed and adrenaline base as well

Now seriously I'm just trying to be constructive

  • @Carth said:

I think it might be a tad bit too strong to be base as is, it would function as a ghetto lethal, middle finger to last survivor trying to open gate if hatch is shut, and lastly be a somewhat decent counter to stealth which I think should be countered by giving up a load out slot if you want that.

That's a fair point what if It didn't work when the final surivor is alive and

    it's always been geddo lethal

  • @Vampwire said:

It's very simple. If Nurse and Spirit can use it, then it really isn't a problem for other killers. None of them are nearly as strong as these two. Yea, there's some with very dedicated anti-loop abilities, but none of them have that with a mix of mobility. And even with those dedicated abilities, I'd only say Pyramid Head and Artist are the two who can get up there with strength. Both of which don't get much value from Jolt currently.

I like Jolt because it's pretty reliable and saves time from kicking multiple gens in one area. And I think the killer should be rewarded for getting any sort of down. Just like the removal of the cool-down, they shouldn't get less value for using their powers or getting multiple downs.

How about it just works on downs not injures

  • @Leachy_Jr said:

    Title.

I would personally like it and it would make me feel as though I have a chance against players who split gens, without being forced to run corrupt.

It would be okay if it blocked the furthest gen for like 30s only 1 gen

  • @EvieSimpsForCrowLady said:

For me its certainly tenacity and fearmonger.

Fearmonger's exhaustion effect is really strong and blindness stops them from knowing where the survivor got downed.

Tenacity is the second best anti-slugging perk. Don't know why it's so slept on

This varies on the killer but lethal for killer cutting out the search time for killer is massive

And for surivor distortion not only dose if make the killer question their Information but can be used tactically to hide your scratch marks and recharges mid chase

  • @Vanishlord said:

I'm looking for opinions on what killers or bundles not to get

The do have anti loop with decent perks

the don't have anti loop or perks that are decent

And the maybe are killers with little anti loop with varying perks

  • I know this was necro but @Pulsar do you think this is still an issue

  • Surivor perk dark alliance

After what seems like years of experimenting with the unknown something has responded

    "Can this be used? ~unknown"

When going to vault a window press the secondary ability button to vault the window and the entity will block it to everybody for 10s (this perk will not trigger vaulting based perks)

And has a cooldown of 60s

  • Killer perk mechanophobia

    Those around you fear failure

every time a surivor misses a repairing skill check mechanophobia gains a token up to 10 tokens every skill check gets 5% smaller and 2% faster and an additional 1%regression penalty per a token

Additional if this perk is at 10 tokens there is a 50% chance skill checks will continue

    (Like Merciless storm )

  • Killer perk step by step

You will step over anything to achieve your goal and hate hindrance

For every generator completed you gain a token each token increases your basic attacks lung duration by 10%

Surivor perk boon : double edged sword

Your sheer confidence shines like the edge of a blade but as soon as it's broken all is lost

When the killer is in range of this boon the killer recives a 2% hindered effect up to 10% the closer they get to the boon

But if this boon is snuffed all Survivors in the range of the boon get 5% hindered effect for 15s

  • Every killer except nurse. And oni I mostly use brown or yellow addons but they never leave

  • @RedPlll said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/345039/experiment-successful

Nurse is a easy killer to deal with. I’ll say that 90% of the community doesn’t know how to play against her. All you gotta do is break line of sight the double back. Ntm with the hyper focus perk. Wth is they’re even to complain about?? Are survivors that entitled?

Your partly correct breaking los is a big part if beating nurse.

Distance and mind games repetitive mindgames where you pick rock every time is when the nurse is gonna pick paper every time

  • I personally think the perk is fine it's a bit problematic at end game maybe have it only stall like 17s when the final gen is done

He is a lot of fun, which I am not used to say about released Killers cuz I didn't enjoy any recent Killers. But Wesker is a lot of fun. But some things are quite frustrating.

    1. He has a ton of bugs, from throwing Survivors into nothing even though there is a wall behind them to slapping Survivors instead of grabbing them and more. Hopefully the 2 hotfixes will cover those bugs.
    2. His hitbox is way to small now. I am sliding past Survivors even though I touched them on my screen. I saw someone explain that his hitbox was 40 cm, which got reduced to 20cm, not even covering his arms, only his torso.

Adjust those 2 things and Wesker will probably be one of the most fun Killers.

I know his hitbox is a big problem but the fact that it can take a long time to charge , survivors have more reaction.

I find it pathetic that wesker's power can be countered by the weakest loops and it is also very difficult to hit survivors vaulting a window.

Maybe i'm really bad playing him, but i think we'll have to wait for his hitbox to be fixed, i lost a lot of hits with it but my biggest problem is the long time to charge.

Yes but his tentacle addon that let's him move faster while charging is criminally under rated

  • No but I get the price there are games where you have to pay 10$ just ti use a character and then outfits are like 5$ but In this game you can earn most characters free with lots of playing. So they need to make their money somehow.
