That's just because the newbies try her out like 3 times, fail with her, and say "I quit" and move on to some brain dead like Bubba
For sure, if exclusively players who were good at nurse played her, her killrate would at bare minimum be around 90% or so

Wow, imagine believing that the best killer in the game actually has the lowest kill rate in the game
statistically she does, but that implies that the stats actually mean anything so take it as you will
-
I've had something like that happen to me as well, my teammate saved me right as i hit second stage, but for some reason it didn't count me as second stage until i got hooked again, it was really weird and i haven't been able to replicate it since

Well stats proving if survivors like to play against a killer that means the killer is very weak, demo among the weakest killers. No wonder I almost never saw it even when was available to buy
Demo being weak according to the stats is the same as saying Nurse doesn't break the game in half by virtue of simply existing according to the stats
Demo's very good, he can end chases very quick, catch up to survivors, control the map, and gen-lock like nobody else, never underestimate what a good Demogorgon can do to a competent survivor team

Something tells me OP just beat the ever living crap out of a very altruistic 4 man and they're rather pleased about it

I wonder if there's any possibility that challenges affect kill rates?

I've had a guy threaten to slug me if he's ever the killer in my games because i "slugged for the 4k after someone DCed"
Granted, i did, but at the same time, it doesn't exactly do anything to change the common stereotype of DBD players being the physical manifestation of the term "petty as #########"

I just LOVE the irony(?) of how often on these forums people create posts demanding the removal of the DC penalty system, and yet EVERY SINGLE TIME the devs temporarily deactivate it, we get posts like this demanding its return!
Before the DC penalty was instituted Back when there was what was coined "the 2019 DC epidemic" (more like a Pandemic because it affected all servers in all countries), The game damn near died because of how many players were dropping it entirely, since no one could have any fun when 9 out of 10 matches had 1 DC or more. I remember that very dark period of this game, and it still took them 7 months after the DC Epidemic peaked before they introduced the penalty system.
I can't help but laugh at this situation tbh, because all the DC Penalty deniers are finally getting a taste of the hell we went through 2 & 3/4 years ago, and now people are realizing just how obnoxiously entitled and petty most of the player base actually is, and why the penalty is actually a GOOD thing.
It's honestly Hilarious!
Welcome to the DBD Forums, where the collective cannot make up it's goddamned mind

I'm sure they can standardise the length of mori animations. Are they not already?
Also I straight up hate the suggested mori changes and don't think they should be implemented. I don't want to have to sweat a 4k just to get a mori animation. Plus I like giving last surv hatch and some of the newer players struggle to get the message so i have to literally drag them kicking and screaming to the hatch sometimes.
Side note rancor and devour hope etc are really only fun because they let you mori. Instant hook sac is boring af and also a nerf because you have to carry them to hook instead of just triggering the mori. They are both so situational you should get the reward for getting them off.
The devs have already said that the Mori changes on the PTB are getting changed, and that what we got to play with was more of a prototype more then anything
i'm sure that they're going to change it in some way or another to make giving hatch a option (they'd ######### better)
-
In comparison to other games? Not really, the Rift's only been open for less then a week and i'm already at level 17, granted that is because i have been doing all of the tome challenges but even then, it doesn't take that much time to get a level just from playing games

As several people here have already pointed out, just adapt bro, new DH rewards survivors for good reaction time and predictions rather then simply pressing the E key and magically reaching a window they otherwise wouldn’t
-
Speaking as somebody who already has all of the event cosmetics, it's not that difficult to get them, if you're really struggling, don't be afraid to play selfish and just stick to gens, you'll get them in no time

Killer has 100% past 6pm on na most of the time lol. If unbreakable patch goes through it will inflate survivor's without actual skill input.
The devs have already said that the Basekit Unbreakable we saw on the PTB isn't going to live servers, so i wouldn't worry about it too much

Do you think pretending to be someone with a disability to push through an agenda is morally ok?
in a general sense, absolutely not
in this one case where quite literally everyone but the people using Flashlights to BM benefit, absolutely yes
-
@Wezil said:
I think the flashlight changes are good but I also think there were bad-faith actors using epileptics as a way to get the change, which I don't like. I think everyone would have been much more accepting if people had been much more honest about why it was being removed. People wanted it removed mainly because of the BMing, which is a very valid reason. You could also say the other reason to remove it is for the small percentage of people with photosensitivity, which is also valid. But it seemed like everyone had epilepsy and photosensitivity when this was happening and at some point you really start thinking that these are bad faith actors.
Running under the assumption that "bad-faith actors" did use epileptic people as a way to get the change, let me ask a question
So what? The flashlight changes both fix BM and epilepsy, how is either of those bad faith in the slightest?

You talking about lag switching? It's quite a thing in DBD, at least it used to be.
I don’t mean lag-switching per-say, but something similar to it that changes your frames to whatever the cheater wants them to be
-
Considering just how much Cheaters are able to do in this game, i wouldn't be surprised if they could straight up change your framerate
-
you can give me as many BP incentives as you'd like, but that won't get me to play matches that require me to use killers i simply do not want to play as (Twins, Freddy, Nurse, etc)

Can be original or licensed, you pick the killer, survivor(s), legendaries, etc
For me it would absolutely be a second Stranger Things chapter. Robin and Hopper as survivors, Eddie and Joyce legendaries for Nancy and Steve, Vecna killer. Hopper's perks would be based around how he is DBD's "tank", so to speak, and Robin's would be based around her intelligence.
either Darkest Dungeon or Metroid Dread
nothing would be more terrifying then being chased by a Shambler or E.M.M.I

I have, on many many occasions, had team mates DC when the state of the game is very much salvagable.
I'd had team mates DC at 4 gens lefts, only for the three of us remaining to get to 4.5 gens completed. That fourth survivor could have easily made it all 5.
As a more extreme example, I've once had two survivors give up early on at around 2 gens done, and then the two of us remaining still managed to repair all the gens AND escape by juking the killer and tag teaming chases and gens.
Unfortunately, for many DBD players, they simply cannot handle losing. A 50% escape rate is not acceptable for survivors and a 50% kill rate is not acceptable for killers. You all need to learn how to lose.
This advice applies to real life too when you think about it long enough

There is enough information out to understand the fundamental changes and form an opinion on them.
Also, telling people to be quiet is such a great way to make people be quiet, especially when they have the right not to be.
How something works on paper and how something works in practice are two very different things, we can have concerns about what is written on said paper, but we won't know if those concerns are actually valid or not until we get to see it in action for ourselves

Me too. I've had a few concepts floating around in my head but I never get the motivation to write anything down or as you say flesh out.
Of the ones i have fleshed out, i think my personal favourites are the E.M.M.I concept i made a while back, and the Shambler concept i finished a few weeks ago
links below if you feel like reading through them
-
I have several ideas that often just float around in my head, killers that get stronger as gens get done, killers based around the obsession mechanic, killers that generate traps whenever they m1 a survivor, that sort of thing
the issue being that i have a lot of ideas and end up never having time to really flesh them out

I am a huge fan of disabling DS endgame, but the stun duration nerf was just egregious. I would actually be in favor of not just 5, but 6 or 7 seconds of stun duration.
Considering that the one and only time I have been hit by DS in the last few weeks I ended up downing the person again within 10 seconds, I agree, the duration should be buffed, not just reverted

We've all see a recent bandwagon of these streamers protesting DBD for a supposed cheater epidemic.
I'm sorry, but this isn't affecting the community as a whole. A recent poll on Reddit showed that a overwhelming majority have not seen an increase in cheaters and most people have only seen 1 or 2 cheaters in thousands of hours of gameplay.
You all have been making some great improvements in the last few years, please keep going and don't get distracted by the few who are abusing their influence for their own personal gain. Please do what benefits the entire community, not the 1%.
I’m not going to say you’re cheating/saying it isn’t a problem, but when you call streamers asking for the anti cheat to be improved, a thing that would benefit the entire player base, “demands and changes that only affect them” I start to wonder if you type and speak before you think, OR have more sinister reasons for doing so

i’ve been running it on basically every killer that needs to start chases ASAP in order to snowball and have never looked back

I am equally excited as I am afraid to ask, but what is a sextet? No typo allowed, I wanted creative answers.
a Sextet is a very cheap Sextant, which is a tool used by sailors to measure the distance between different objects, like the ship and a island for example, the Sextet does the same thing, but has a pipe-bomb attached to it that can explode at any given moment

i actually encourage survivors to teabag, not because i like it, but because them wasting time being a jackass means that they aren't running
which means easier downs for me, and probably quicker DCs because teabaggers have a very funny habit of leaving the second they go down
-
i did it on my first try, but that doesn't change that this god-awful challenge should be reworked
killing the pace of a normal chase is not a improvement over a mildly annoying FOV decreaser and whispering imo

Highway Robbery: I would probably give the "survivor escaping via flashlight blind gets 150% sprint" exhaustion too but a nerfed version of it, like 30 seconds. Feels almost wrong to get hit with that, then you catch up, then you get hit with a lithe or something.
Unparalleled Finesse: You can only get unhooked twice in a single game, might as well just make it activate on both unhooks.
Bandit's Sense: Unironically a cool perk design. Got nothing to complain here.
SHAMBLER:
SHAMBLER ALTER: I'm not sure how I feel about yet another teleporting killer. The fact you can just instantly teleport to them is a bit much, #########, even Sadako had to do a short animation to crawl out of the TV. If you're gonna keep it instant, I would make the burn out 25-30~ seconds.
SHAMBLER SPAWN: This one is something I'm a bit more interested in, area denial after getting a hit on a survivor. a 3% movement speed boost won't mean ######### though, at least make it 5% or something.
STRESS: I would simply it to be akin to the Dredge, injuring and hooking them stresses them out + being looked at, healing, stunning/blinding, and escaping the chase with the Shambler decreases it. Or just make it say "doing conspicuous actions" for the stress healing. hink the hindered is really the only part of Stress that makes it impactful much. A 10% penalty to healing is half of Sloppy and like two stacks of old Thanta, it's not gonna do much.
SHROUD OF HORROR: Cool flavor, no complains.
SHAMBLER ADDONS:
i honestly don't feel like looking through all of them but the ultra rare that says "you don't see the fog" seems like a nothingburger and a common instead of an ultra rare. am i missing something?
SHAMBLER PERKS:
Scourge Hook: Shuffling Horror: Since it requires hooking survivors and you can only have three tokens max, you might as well make it only consume a token if you actually get stunned. Otherwise the concept play would just be to predrop if you know the killer has it, which just make matches boring.
Hex: Stentorious Lament: An anti-CoH, I assume? I dunno, it feels like it doesn't really do a lot to warrant being a Hex. Feels like you're just trying to get Pentimento value more than anything. 30% is like...barely better than Mangled. Sure, it stacks, but c'mon.
Obdurous Advancement: This is Infectious Fright that wants you to slug even more than Infectious Fright wants you to slug. I don't have to say why that would be obnoxious to go against.
The feedback is appreciated, and for the record, yes Stentorious Lament is meant to be a reverse COH, the reason I kept the numbers low is because I’m don’t want it to synergise extremely well with other perks that slow-down healing, trying to self-heal with Sloppy near a Lament boon without a medkit would take forever, and so I wanted to keep the the possibility of synergies without said synergies being overly-obnoxious to play against
As for the Ancestors Candle and Obdurous Advancement, if I was to rewrite them I’d make the Candle also block pallets and windows near generators and the exit gates for 30 seconds so that the addon actually does something noteworthy, and make the perk cause survivors near the killer to scream rather then near the downed survivor, that way it’s still does what it’s supposed to do (help get into chases sooner) without it encouraging mass-slugging even more then Infectious Fright does, your suggestions for balancing the other perks and parts of the killer power are also good ideas, minus the changes to Stress, i quite like how it works as is, but I definitely would buff the numbers on it a little, or add a additional caveat where Afflicted survivors stress out nearby teammates as well
thanks for taking the time to read through the concept :)

You lose now your bloodlust when you teleport to your remnant which is a huge nerf to his 1v1 chase which wasnt really good in the first place...
Sure you gain now bloodlust much faster since the last midchapter but the problem with this is that Dredge lost a super fun chase aspect which made him very unique and fun in chases. (This shadow nerf happened with weskers release)
Back then you could play much more freely with the remnant. The majority anyway didnt do that but I did this very often and could end half of the chases like that. I placed often the remnant far away on a tile, usually on very unusual but hard to see spots for the survivors, lets say at the corner of an jungle gym away from pallets or windows. I teleport after I gained 1-2 bloodlust stacks and the survivors usually thinks then I just left so they either stand still for a sec to be sure or just try to leave the tile immidiatly and then I come out of a very unexpected direction or corner and get hits like this.
This "tech" often helped me to catch someone off guard and also gain even downs very quick like this. It worked quiete often because it is so unusual. I was also quiete fun cuz it was still a fair move which if the survivor still was quick enough to react or saw/heared the remnant before could play around that. The bloodlust helped to get this extra momentum to reach the survivors before they make it to a pallet or tile or window.
Now with this gone you are forced to play this very boring and generic pallet 50/50 play where you place the remnant close to a pallet and go back and forth so either the survivors vaults and gets hit or dont vaults and keeps running around the tile till you catch them.
Again it wasnt a game breaking tool or bug, it was just a other kind of strategy to catch survivors which was mostly fun to use and made Dredge unique. Now you are forced to play like a Hag or Artist to zone survivors at the 1 pallet till you catch them.
This made me lose alot of fun and motivation to play Dredge, there are chances that this is just a bug but I dont think so tbh.
I literally never once noticed Bloodlust stuck around when teleporting back to your remnant, because whenever i did, i was already right where the survivor was and was ready to hit them, which made the BL completely pointless
Odds are, this was a bugfix, and not a lot will change about Dredge because of it
