Wesker might actually be the worst killer in the entire game right now.

Eh, debatable, even if you never use his power in chase, it’s still amazing for map traversal, which is something Trapper doesn’t have

The entity is a lovecraftian God, so I don't find it bad that it has its own cult as big as cthulhus.. Yes maybe some survs are not connected to it, some are but the black vale is actually interesting.. Imagine getting a cultist or something like the shambler in dbd

Words cannot state how much i would love a Darkest Dungeon chapter

only if Dismas is the survivor though

  • I mean, he killed/imprisoned a lot of people for money and for kicks, and if the state of the Saloon is any indication, he didn’t exactly care if innocent people got caught in the crossfire, he’s not the worst but he’s not exactly morally upstanding

    What about a Wesker treatment?

As in 115 but 40m TR which gives survs more reaction time/earlier warnings to leave an area.

That would be interesting as well but i don't think it would make all that much of a difference

even with the larger TR, a 4.6 killer with a power that gives you free zoning is still a 4.6 killer with a power that gives you free zoning

With her potential, I don't think I'd be against a test for a slower Artist.

I can't really say if it's actually a good idea.

Honestly, considering just how versatile Artist's kit actually is (free cross map tracking, relatively easy injures and downs, and free zoning) i would like to see a 4.4 Artist test too

One of BHVR's best original killers ever, no joke

Playing Dredge is a blast and facing a Dredge is one of my favourite things too. His power is strong but not extremely oppressive normally (He has nightfall for that jump in power) and the remnant is a unique form of anti-loop that isn't just lazy caveman "unga bunga survivor animation lock punish"

    Amazing chase music

Unique sound design that changes depending on the skin the killer is using (Yeah they went the extra mile for this)

Also random fact, did you know Dredge is now the 2nd killer that has a unique animation when he's in a chase? (The first one was Ghostface!)

Dredge is unironically a new standard for BHVR's Killer Design

Hopefully any killers they release after Wesker will continue in Dredge's non-existent footsteps

  • i don't listen to music while playing killer because you do need to be aware of survivor's noises at all times, but i usually have some music playing in the background at low volume when playing Surv, mainly...

    • Here i Go Again - Whitesnake
    • Sleeping Goliath - Espinas: Sunbreak Edition (not what it's actually called but i don't care) - Capcom Sound Team
    • Endless Maze - Jungle: Sunbreak Edition - Capcom Sound Team
    • Dung Defender - Christopher Larkin

and whatever else YT recommendations give me really

"We have a mediocre perk that has an aspect problematic on one killer. "

What's easier? Rework a killer with a dedicated fanbase of 6 years, or slightly nerfing a perk no one will use? This is no different than when Thana was nerfed because of Plague/Legion.

Nurse may be changed. She'll never get a full blown rework like Freddy did, nor should any killer.

literally the one thing most people agree Nurse needs is for her blink attacks to be counted as Special attacks, that's it

That can be done within 3 minutes at most

  • When i first saw this i read it as "kill everyone with only Stridor" because i was working on like 5 hours sleep

I am very happy it wasn't actually that because i think the forums would have been in a bit of a uproar if that was the case

    Scourge Hook: Empathic Agony

The Agony of facing ones mortality takes it's toll on your victims, crippling their ability to press on.

At the start of the Trial, 4 random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks:

The Auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white.

Each time a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook, the following effects apply:

Scourge Hook: Empathic Agony Gains 1 token, and for every 4/3/2 tokens gained all survivors suffer from a persisting status effect for the remainder of the trial. (maximum of 8 tokens)

2 tokens: All survivors who have been hooked at least once on a scourge hook suffer Blindness.

4 tokens: All survivors who have been hooked at least once on a scourge hook suffer Hemorrhage when injured.

6 tokens: All survivors who have been hooked at least once on a scourge hook suffer Oblivious.

8 tokens: All survivors who have been hooked at least once on a scourge hook become Exposed.

All tokens and status effects are Lost if the End Game Collapse is Triggered, or if you Hook the same survivor Twice in a row on any hook.

Basically, this perk punishes survivors and rewards you for hooking a different survivor each time on a scourge hook. It encourages going for hooks over kills, and only rewards you if you avoid hooking the same survivor twice, keep survivors from opening an exit gate, or avoid shutting the hatch.

    What do you guys think?

It'd be weak but it would defintely be fun to mess around with it

It's like a Devour Hope but using Scourge Hooks, i'd probably use it a little bit

Listen BHVR I love you(not really) but here is a thing - if SWF group or single individual wants to torture someone, they will do just that no matter what. No matter the perks or anything else. Reassurance was perfect as is - if killer wants to camp, let them do just that, stare at survivors eyes for the whole match while everyone else leaves. Now it's gonna be another OP SWF perk and almost useless solo Q perk.

they nerfed it because it would let survivors effectively take their teammate hostage and make them unkillable, the nerf made it so that you can no longer do that, it's not like they made it completely useless, it's just can't make a survivor Immortal against their will anymore

and i've mentioned this issue ISNT only coldwind. A LOT of the maps are like this when you play as killer, Did you forget badham, red forest? and many more? Don't just point out coldwind

The reason i singled out Coldwind is because Coldwind is a particularly egregious offender, i'm not going to say that only Coldwind has bad map design because that statement is simply untrue

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3149292#Comment_3149292

not true. How many mistakes did they do compared to me? I mean at one point in the video I was close to earning a 4k by slugging them. Don't be biased

Apologies for going over your video with a fine tooth comb, but there are several mistakes you made

For one, Slugging while 4 people are still alive very rarely, if ever, actually works, especially when playing a M1 Killer like Pig, best thing to do would have been to spread out hook states and to try and kill one of them off as quick as possible, slugging is always a massive gamble and for you it just didn't pay off

You also only kicked gens twice, i get wanting the traps to go off sooner but it would have been better to just kick them and move on, if they're focusing on getting the traps off then the gens will regress, with Brutal Strength and Fire Up it would have barely taken any time, and you would have knocked off at least a decent chunk of progress while they were getting their traps off

2:10, why did you crouch? you could have gotten the m1, and then potentially chased and downed the obsession, being greedy with STBFL stacks while all of the survivors are still alive isn't necessary

2:31, The Kate ran into you and she Dead-Harded, i will admit, i do this on reflex as well, but it's a good thing to remember, if a survivor spins into you, wait for the animation, THEN swing, because she got the Dead Hard off, you then spent a full minute chasing her, half of which was spent trying to mind game her at the jungle gym, personally i would have just been more direct, chase her until the pallet drops, break it because you have Brutal Strength and Fire Up, and then continued, however this chase wasn't entirely wasted, since she used the pallets at the Cow Tree and Shack, getting rid of those 2 pallets at 4 gens is really good for you

3:42, you swung at the Jake even though you already saw he had Sprint Burst, self-explanatory

3:55, after getting a good hit at the pallet on the Jake, you break it and then don't continue chasing, even though he has already used his SB and, if he was running towards the shack, he would be in a area with only 1 or 2 pallets, instead you went to go look for the person who triggered the Jigsaw Box, someone who was uninjured and probably long gone by the time you went to check, also, why didn't you check the unfinished gen that was over there? The surv you were looking for might have been there, never hurts to check unfinished Gens

4:20, you find the Jake, you had the right idea, but i would have made use of the Undetectable that crouching gives you to try and trick him,

5:12, why the hell did you not follow the Jake? it worked out for you in the end sure, but you would have downed him sooner if you followed him instead of taking such a weird route, it would make sense if you also kicked the gen to make it regress, but you just took a path that let him get out of sight for a bit

5:43, not a mistake, this was actually really well played on your part, just wanted to point it out because it was funny

6:05, you get a good hit on the Kate, but then decide not to chase her, even though she would have barely made any distance because of your 7 STBFL stacks, and she was running to area with no pallets, you not chasing her right then and there was what allowed her to finish the gen

6:27, you go to the Jake on hook even though the Haddie got picked up, which was a bad call

6:43: you don't wait to swing, a good idea since you have STBFL, but i would have still waited just to be sure, a stack and a down is a lot better then just a stack

7:42, why didn't you hit the Obsession? She was injured and was right there, again, don't greed for STBFL stacks when everybody is still alive, you can get those 2 stacks back very quick

7:44: you were a bit too quick on the draw with your swing, which means she gets away and you don't get any stacks

8:08, well played on your part, knowing me i probably would have triggered the DH on accident

8:38, why camp here? everyone was injured, i personally would have just left to go look for the rest, especially the Jake, you sitting there for nearly a minute let them all fully heal and finish the last gen

Don't get me wrong, the survivors weren't exactly Seal Team 6, and absolutely were carried by the map, but you also did make several mistakes and bad plays that ended up biting you later

  • We already know that map design is flawed, on Coldwind especially, but honestly this video of yours is more of a show of you making mistakes rather then a show of bad map design

  • Unless i have a challenge that specifically requires i survive, i'm going to try and save my teammates

Winning as Surv is a group effort after all

  • @Marc_123 said:

The newer ones are easier and you often have an alternate route to go the end.

    https://youtu.be/cQ2WMJZHhdo

i can guarantee that if we ever got a Gorilla killer with a Rajang skin, i would buy it immediately

  • As MikaelaWantsYourBoon has pointed out, Red Forest and Blackwater Swamp are absolutely going to get reworked at some point or another, they just reworked RPD first because it was quick and easy to do

  • @Veinslay said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3143262#Comment_3143262

I mean as long as 4 man SWF break the game in half, Nurse needs to remain powerful

A 4man SWF doesn't break the game in half, a 4man SWF with voice-comms does, which is something you simply cannot nerf due to said voice-comms being 3rd party

SWF using 3rd party communication is a problem, but not one bad enough to excuse Nurse playing a completely different game to the rest of the cast

  • Speaking as someone who liked RPD more then most, i'm happy the map got changed

It was cool fan-service for people who like RE, but it sucked royally as a map in DBD

  • MMR can't be adjusted if it doesn't exist to begin with

  • @soloqdweet said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3142147#Comment_3142147

So? There have always been stronger and weaker killers in dbd, just like perks and maps and items. Not every killer can be perfectly balanced you know.

So because the game can't be perfectly balanced, we should just let Nurse continue to break the game in half by simply existing

Forgive me for failing to see how that makes sense

  • I have the distinct impression that this post is the result of one too many bad SoloQ matches

  • Honestly, i wouldn't mind if Wraith got a rework similar to what Doctor got, since his current version isn't very fun to play against and isn't all that interesting to play with

  • @Veinslay said:

It's very fun and fair when a guy gets full healed and then comes and blocks your current chase cause he still has OTR active. Definitely very balanced

I will admit I have done that during my testing and it was nothing short of hilarious

  • @Cameragosha said:

He is worst killer now , wesker looked like F tier.

Sadako or trapper still stronger than wesker.

The fact that the people in this thread can’t recognise an pretty obvious joke is mildly concerning

  • I am not one to call things a Crutch perk, but Dead Hard was the Crutch perk to end all Crutch perks, even if no one in your match was running it, the killer still had to play like it existed, it forced the killer to wait 3 seconds every single chase just to swing safely, and it created so many different lose/lose scenarios that it was ridiculous, the nerf was 100% warranted

Feels like I have to play whole Hex build including NOED or Pentimento to even have a chance to get this done. Uffff. Not feeling like doing it. Probably skiping this one (at least for now). I don't like these challenges. Feels like about luck and not really something you can do much about.

I got this thing by using Plaything and sitting in front of the final Hex after killing 3 out of 4 survivors, most tense match I’ve played in a long time

  • @StarLost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3130620#Comment_3130620

Lichen, Soda, Heart, Glasses are very good addons. About half of the rest are at least...useful.

They’re useful, but they’re boring, which is fine, but I would have liked a bit more addon variety with Demo’s addon pass rather then just effectively replacing Rat Liver with Black Heart and Barb’s Glasses

  • Demo is what got me into playing DBD in the first place, his gameplay is super solid, he has anti-loop and chase shortening, map traversal, tracking, and best of all, 3-gen locking, i haven't played as much of him recently due to wanting to branch out to more killers and just not really playing killer in general, however, he does have 2 downsides, his addons are kinda crappy, i have no reason not to run the addons that decrease the cooldowns for landing shred and using shred to destroy pallets, and the other downside, shredding off of tall buildings sometimes just doesn't work, the Thompson House rework being the biggest offender by far, i understand why i can't shred off of the balcony and fly across the map, but that doesn't change that i goddamn want to

  • Sweat Pick: Literally nobody because i don't sweat, but Demo is my best killer, so i'll pick him

Fun Pick: Demo, Dredge, Wraith, Nemesis, Pig, Clown, Trickster, Legion, Blight, and Wesker when he comes out, i pick one of those at random and then go from there

  • I have found that pretending that MMR doesn't exist makes the experience a lot more fun

  • Not really

Toxic against Toxic is not a good thing to encourage

however, doing it with friends who know you are being toxic in jest can be pretty fun

if you're going to be toxic, do it in a party of friends who know you're not being serious, don't do it with randoms just because someone "might deserve it"

Unless they're a Blendette who did nothing all match and escaped through hatch, then it's completely justified

(for legal reasons the above statement is a joke)

  • The only perk i find "annoying" is Sloppy Butcherer, and even then, COH and Inner Strength exist, so it rarely, if ever, actually effects me that much

  • honestly, i've been the exact opposite of triggered for quite a while now, Killer's been really relaxed, even with zero slowdown perks (which i have been doing since 6.1.0 came out, and have at least gotten 7 or 8 hooks every match)

only thing that's been bothering me is that killer queues take for-flipping-ever at any time of the day that isn't the dead of night, which is completely understandable, since killer is a lot easier to play now

  • @Cryptikk said:

Like going for the challenges such as glyphs instead of doing gens and unhooks.

I certainly think a lot of the single-trial challenges do, Heroic Cause and basically every single mission in Tome 1 being the biggest offenders

the problem with a lot of these challenges is that while they may make sense on paper, they usually make little sense in practice, and sometimes the wording on them is flat-out vague and misleading, such as the “hide within 10 metres of the killer” challenges

if a challenge requires other people to play along in order to get them, then they aren’t challenges, they’re exercises in patience

  • I don’t help the killer at all unless one of my teammates is a Blendette who spends the entire match hiding in a corner waiting for hatch

on the flip side, The only time a survivor has “helped” me find a teammate was just them running towards them with zero idea that their teammates were there

if it’s accidental or done to punish a selfish, actively detrimental, boring, and infuriating-to-face play style, then I have no problems with it, if it’s done intentionally to sandbag someone, then I’m killing the sandbaggers

  • I am a I'm All Ears PH enjoyer, and i approve this message

  • image.png

    Here's my tierlist

Demo is a literal animal and really only kills people because he's hungry

Dredge is basically just a skin-suit piloted by some eldritch force, corpses can't exactly be evil

Pyramid Head and Nemesis are just doing their jobs

Twins, Plague, Artist, Sadako, Hag, Wraith, Billy, and Spirit are more victim then actually evil

Huntress has the mind of a child, and was raised in the woods, can't exactly hold the fact that she kills people against her

Everyone in Evil and Very Evil are self-explanatory

Freddy is a child predator and Doctor is basically a walking mass of Geneva Convention violations

Wesker would probably be in "Rot in Hell" since he wants to commit mass genocide

  • First, I see if they look good

Second, I see how they play through Streamers and Youtubers

Third, I see if their perks are interesting and are something I would consider using

1 … 12 13 14 15 16 … 52
