Okay the Dead By Daylight needs to hire us for lore development. Let’s send them our resumes. ;)
Yes, we can write the new archives tome.

Is Bubba painting his face black?
No.

Bro what do you mean Remember Me is the best song in Coco, it absolutely SLAPS
-
When I saw the title, I was scared.
But this is a good idea. The Legion's power escalates as the survivors get hit. I like it.
Plus, the downing only works until a survivor is dead, so it seems fairly balanced.

Love those ideas. I like to imagine that the entity tries to keep the killers as occupied as possible. For instance, I like to imagine that the entity keeps Idiris’ people “safe” in a temple for her, or has manifested Anna a little girl to protect, etc.
yeah.
Doctor has someone to test on.
Bubba has versions of his family members molded from the fog.
Legion have some parts of their own hangout restored.
But something's amiss. The entity does not fully understand human nature or the nature of its killers.
The test subject in Doctor's lair, its screams are real but not fueled by fear or pain.
Bubba's "new" family is kind and they seem loving.
The girl Huntress has... loves her.
Adiris' followers act like she never left.
-
Trapper- wipes cleaver on his face
Billy- hits his chainsaw with his hammer as it sputters to life and dies again once the emote ends
Wraith- Rings his bell to an ominous tune
Nurse- shrieks and flails her bonesaw
Myers- Head tilt
Hag-Eats a scrap of flesh
Doc-Electricity crackles around him and he cackles manically
Huntress-throws hatchet in the air and catches it
Freddy-waves his glove in front of his face
Pig-Tightens a screw on an RBT
Clown-Inspects his finger collection
Spirit-Screaming
Legion-Flips the bird
Plague-recites a bible verse and barfs
Ghostface-Smile!
Demo-Hisses and shrieks, lights all around start flickering
Oni-Roars and blood swirls around him
Slinger-fires gun into the air
Phead-Barbed wire swirls around him, and a tornado of red surrounds him as he raises the great knife. A small shockwave occurs when he slams it back on the ground.
Blight-Injects serum and releases a feral shriek
Twins-Victor climbs onto Charlotte's shoulder and howls

The campers recover around the campfire. I think the entity also leaves them gifts, little things (like favorite candies or photos) to remind them of home and give them hope for getting out.
I think each killer also their own kind of campfire/lair where the entity keeps them occupied as well.
Perhaps Doctor has a table with all kinds of torture devices in his lair.
Bubba keeps the faces of his victims on a rack.
Legion try to make themselves at home around the fire.
Oni burns incense and honors his ancestors, and perhaps he even shares a lair with Spirit.
Anna clings on to dolls, scraps of cloth, mementos from her childhood.

It would just be segregation of faces. How would Bubba, pig squealing, chainsaw welding maniac, be able to look at someone and be like, oh I can't wear your face cause your black
God that sounds weird to say
Then if the devs removed it because she's black then it's also segregation. Leatherface can't wear her face cause she's black, that would be saying her face isn't good enough...
Man that's even weirder. I'm gonna just slowly back away from this conversation now
You put this in my head:
Bubba: I'm gonna kill you!
Claudette: I'm black
Bubba:
-
Maybe they get a tin can of pork and beans.
I like to think that the killers interact from time to time, and their campfires all exist on the same plane.

Can’t remember last time a killer let me escape. It was so usual time ago
yes, because the killer is supposed to LET you do gens.
Bro shut yo entitled mouth

@Dwight_Fairfield said:
Michael's. Its so personal. He stares right into your face while he is stabbing you. Plus the survivors' weakly smacking him on the shoulder while he does it. Then when they're dead he tosses them aside like a piece of garbage.
-
Only if I can be 100% sure that they will in fact improve the game.
-
Smiley button will be op as hell. You can just double hit the same survivor.
I like the other changes a lot, but I think the fatigue buff should reward good players, meaning that you will have almost no fatigue if you hit all survivors with deep wounds, and default fatigue for just one. The fatigue addons do need a buff.
I also personally think that Fuming Mix Tape should activate killer instinct once you enter Feral Frenzy, meaning you can actually apply the Button add ons' effects to all survivors.
And don't forget about Frank's mixtape.
-
@gibblywibblywoo said:
None of these changes will boost their viability or fun factor. The first hit is the least important hit. If legions power never has any real utility in a chase they will always be sub par. Survivors have to go out of their way to not do gens AND get hit by a Legion nowadays. If they're far enough away when they get their first hit you can just hold W and outrun their frenzy.
that's not really the proper way to use Legion, unless I read your comment wrong.
-
In case you succumb to a desire to make the survivors miserable, here's a build that will give you satisfaction from their pain.
FOREVER LEGION
As if regular Legion wasn't bad enough!
Addons:
- Defaced Smiley pin
- Iridescent button
Perks:
- Coulrophobia
- Thanatophobia
- Dying Light
- Overwhelming Presence
Now you may be asking, "Doritohead, why on EARTH are you suggesting Coulro and Overwhelming? Wouldn't Franklin's and Sloppy be better?"
And I'm glad you ask this! You see, Franklin's and Sloppy rely on BASIC ATTACKS, and to make them work you'd have to m1 the survivor and then frenzy them if you really want to waste their time. I shouldn't need to explain why this just isn't efficient. Overwhelming counters medkits, and the smiley pin combined with the button and your perks bring healing speeds to a miserable crawl. Plus Coulro and Overwhelming work well with the Iri button. Moving on...
Instructions for use:
- whatever you do, don't stab the obsession first with frenzy. The defaced smiley pin will only do its thing on survivors revealed by killer instinct. This is important because you want to shut down the healing speed buff that the obsession receives with Dying Light by applying as many healing debuffs as you can.
- Turn off Postgame chat.
-
But Victor doesn't look like Nea at all!
-
the strongest perk in the game
-
My top 3:
- Ghostface, for obvious reasons. I wish it was still the phone one, but I can't say I don't like the camera.
- Demo. He eats face. I wish the head wouldn't stay attached, but that's just a small complaint.
- Legion. I like how the survivor tries to escape. It's cute.
-
I played with a friend once.
"Is the killer chasing you?"
"No he's pulling out a camera."
about 1.5 seconds later...
"Holy ######### I just died!"
-
Legion's power isn't even lethal.
I personally think that the fatigue should depend on how many survivors you hit with deep wounds, but it should be capped at 3.
-
i main Legion and require help.
-
No, anyone who thinks that is just overthinking it.
Person = Face
Face = Mask
Mask = Good
there's no problem. Claudette is just another victim. I'd argue that the people who think this is racist are themselves racist people.
-
Who wouldn't like Demo though??
-
he didn't lunge, he just used his telekinetic mind powers.
-
I'll only play Billy once he receives these buffs:
-He can fly
-He can throw hatches
-He has a gun
-His chainsaw instantly downs very survivor on the map
-
Scott Jund has a great video on it. I recommend you give it a watch.
I'll link it here:

Loop around tight corners, and go for vaults.
You actually CAN pallet stun him when he's using his chainsaw if you get the timing down.

You shouldn't shame people for playing in a specific way or playing a specific killer.
that's not an unpopular opinion, that's just common sense.
Unfortunately most people don't have it.

@Yarheeguy said:
"The Devs have said that all characters within the game are 21 years or older"
they said it once in a livestream and it's completely wrong
Quentien, Steve, Nancy and Cheryl are 17 years old.
Frank is 19 years old with other Legion members being around the same age.
and Victor, despite being Charlotte's twin, died when he was a child, even if he was relived, he was dead during the time when Charlotte grow up, so he would mentally be the age of a child.
I think Joey and Susie are 16 I'll have to double check though
but it says in the lore that they are both younger than Frank and Julie
-
-Legion needs an overhaul
-Phead is fun to play against
-Deathslinger requires skill
-Adrenaline is just as bad as NOED
-Huntress is a top 4 killer
-
BBQ, Maybe Distressing, Thrill of the hunt, Beast of prey, and maybe you can switch Distressing with something else if you really want to win.
Bloody Party streamers, use a Gateau if you have one
Play Legion or Doc as they are fantastic for bp farming. You can also play Bubba, Myers, Trapper, Billy, Freddy, Nurse, Wraith, or Hag, because they all have offerings that give you bonus bloodpoints.
EDIT: Use Iridescent button if you're going to pick Legion to get some some extra bp for destruction.
-
I'm not going to say it isn't a thing, but assuming a killer is camping because you are hooked and in their terror radius is a bad mindset.
-
I would unironically trust Jeff Johansen with my money

I'm not going to make a third comment about it. I'm just gonna say that I would have liked the original character of Prydney Sescott.
are we talking about "Creams"?
Man I love that movie!

The power seems absolutely busted
Odious gaze- gives the survivor a warning queue, so it's not going to work well.
Worthy Prey- INCREDIBLEY weak. Make tokens easier to get and retain or remove the obsession aspect. Exposed should apply to all survivors if it's going to be that hard to get, and the obsession being able to remove the effect by performing a co op action is super weak.
Unerring tracker- Auras being revealed are pointless if you're already in a chase. Could have some potential on some killers like Plague or Myers, who have a temporary power burst and can use this perk to switch targets so they don't have to chase one who's really good at looping.
-
I look for 3 things, and if a streamer/youtuber has one of them I'll watch them:
-Very funny
-Creative with their content
-Very informative about builds, strategies, etc.

Probably Michael Myers? He is not on the list otherwise
oh I see
I call him Miguel
-
That's not Legion, that's Phead
-
Before I started playing Nurse I averaged about a 4k
Now I usually get 2/3ks on average, i'd guess.
-
Who's Michelle?
-
Huntress doesn't throw hatchets, she throws atomically unstable schoolbuses.
-
Stop making excuses.
-DS will ALWAYS help against tunneling, unless you're going against a Phead who doesn't know how cages work.
-DS is pretty much designed around stopping momentum which something it does well, especially in the endgame.
-DS and Unbreakable literally and actually has no counters
-Maybe the killer won't be the brightest, or maybe they'll take a chance and hope you don't have DS. But you can't deny that it happens sometimes. I myself drop a lot of chases just so I don't risk a DS stun.
-The locker thing has no counters.
-
Just a word of advice, you should probably word your statements regarding the devs a little more... respectfully.
But yeah ping can be a pain in the butt sometimes, and I totally agree. It needs fixing sooner rather than later.
-
They may nerf moris but they'll never nerf the yellow mori fakeout strat
-
I envy and respect you, great job!
-
Capabilities of DS:
-Helps against tunneling
-Brings the killer's momentum to a screeching halt
-Forces the killer to slug, which in itself can be countered by unbreakable
-The sheer possibility of you having it can make the killer not want to chase you
-Going into a locker can turn a dire situation into one that can be responsible for you winning the game
-
Based on the Jake and Claudette face descriptions, I don't think so.

Killer: Texas Red
Height: Average
Speed: 110%
TR: 32 meters (TR music is "Big Iron" by Marty Robbins)
Power: Big Iron
Tap the Power Button to aim the Big Iron. Pressing the Active Ability button will shoot the Big Iron. If the Big Iron's bullet hits a survivor, the survivor instantly becomes injured and A bar will appear under the survivor's name. this is called the Health Bar. It will take 4 of the Big Iron's 6 shots to completely drain the Health Bar. When the Health Bar is drained, the survivor will be downed. A headshot will drain double the amount of the Health Bar and inflict the Mangled status effect. Keep in mind that the Health Bar will not go down by itself, and will be reset once the survivor is put on a hook. Big Iron has a range of 40 meters. It's also hitscan up to 32 meters. Past that, it will not hit its target instantly. After the Big Iron runs out of shots, Texas Red will have to reload. He retains his movement speed while completing this 5 second animation. Texas Red can cancel the reload at any time to continue on with only the amount of shots that have already been loaded.
"The stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip"
Secondary Ability: quickdraw
Hold the Power Button to start charging Quickdraw. This will take 1.7 seconds. After Quickdraw is fully charged, Texas Red can pull out his Big Iron and shoot a flurry of 6 shots by letting go of the Power Button. These shots will do the same amount of damage as normal but will only travel for 12 meters before they disappear. Texas Red moves at only 92% movement speed while charging Quickdraw.
"20 men had tried to take him and that many men were dead"
PERKS:
Outlaw:
Those who try to take you will fall.
Every time you land a Basic Attack, gain a token. Each time you get pallet stunned, one token is spent and the survivor who stunned you will get a deep wound that they will have 30/29/27 seconds to mend.
"They knew the handsome ranger was about to meet his death"
Vendetta:
You do not begin the trial with an obsession. However, the first survivor that you gain Bloodlust on becomes your obsession. Each time you enter a chase with your obsession, your speed is increased by 3/4/5 percent as long as you remain in the chase. After the obsession is hooked twice, you must look for a new one to continue receiving this perk's benefit. This perk cannot effect more than two obsessions in a match.
"20 men had tried to take him, 20 men had made a slip"
Hex: Oath of the Gunslinger
When you sacrifice a survivor for the first time in the trial, a random dull totem will become a Hex Totem. As long as the totem stands, all survivors who had unhooked the now sacrificed survivor suffer from the Exhausted and Hemorrhage/Blindness/Oblivious status effects. If they're injured or at any point become injured, they will also suffer from the Broken Status effect. If nobody unhooked the survivor/they only unhooked themselves, all survivors will suffer from the Exposed status effect.
"The notches on his pistol numbered one and nineteen more"
(Note: to prevent this perk from rewarding camping, after hooking the survivor there will be a 5 second window during which the killer must go at least 32 meters away from the hook. If the survivor gets sacrificed on said hook and this condition is met, the hex will activate. Additionally, if the killer enters a 16 meter radius of the hooked survivor, a sacrifice won't activate the hex. A survivor that unhooked the sacrificed survivor while within 16 meters of the killer will not be effected by the hex.)
I got you covered.
