From what I understand, the game has log files which record the P2P interactions during every trial. Lag switching should be visible in those so the devs should be able to use that to investigate on lag switchers. We've talked with Patricia_BHVR on that issue on Discord.lol sure... you want to tell me that you can see the different between lag switching and connection issues/lost? you dont even know the difference between front end and back end.
No need to be hostile. I'm simply stating what was discussed on the Discord with a dev. If you think you know better, you're welcome to join the Discord and chime in.

The speed increase of NOED is minor.
That Killer wasn't carried by a Perk, she would have gotten you with or without NOED.
Wut? It's 4%...
Difference between Hag / Huntress and everyone else is 5%.
It's literally a HUGE balancing tool at that amount.
The point is that the killer was so bad and shouldn't be at red ranks. In 1000+ hrs of killer I never fathomed a survivor using 6 vaults and about 30sec on that tile lol.
It's barely the difference of Bloodlust 1. You can ask any Killer, Bloodlust 1 is barely noticeable. And just because that Pig had troubles in that game, doesn't mean that that is the case in all games.
2 weeks ago, I played against an SWF group on high ranks and demolished them. I had them again in the very next game and they demolished me. Everyone can have bad games.
I'm not even going to waste time on you if you think 4% movement speed is trivial lol...
Hey, DocOctober is a respected community member. Hes right in saying that 4% is not that good. Bloodlust 1 is not noticable.
If you think 4% is trivial you don't play at a high level...
Whatever man, you're just salty that that Pig got you. It's not NOED's fault, she would eventually have caught up.
I'm not wasting my time arguing with you anymore. Bye.

Yeah right, keep trying to make an elephant out of a mosquito. I know better, I created the movement speed article on the Wiki, I know what is a significant boost and what isn't.

No, it wasn't. The pallet vacuum existed because there was no animation for the Survivor passing through the pallet-space, they literally teleported from one side to the other.Badmanone said:@DocOctober said:

Why is it that only Killers are honest about the strength of one of their Perks?

Funny. That's exactly what happened for the first 1.5 years in Dead by Daylight, but with Survivors crying and getting buffs.

If played well, the Clown is high-mid tier.
-
All attempts at doing that resulted in Survivors abusing the ######### out of the mechanics. So no, not gonna happen.

My utmost commiserations that you can't rely on loops against her.
First off, this:

Secondly: You are supposed to stealth her and lose line of sight. The Nurse is the worst tracker in the game due to her slow movement speed, she simply can't search on foot for too long, meaning that once you're hidden from her sight, unless it's a very crappy hiding spot, you'll likely lose her.
-
That's not a counter, please look up the definition if the word.WhateverIGuess said:But there's already a perk that semi-counters it. It's called Enduring.
Don't come at me with the argument of "Oh, why would I waste my perk slot just to fight off 1 surv perk?". You know what? Enduring works on pallets too, something killers fear.
A reduced stun time changes nothing about the fact that the Survivor is back on their feet and you have to catch them again.
There are so many loop spots that even the reduced stun gives them enough time to reach one. -
No, it's because he and the Trapper have a walking animation instead of a running one.ChesterTheMolester said:

That would make Iron Grasp pretty much a mandatory Perk to have as Killer. That is not a solution.Hex ruin is basically mandatory but people still use and dont complain about how mandatory it is. I dont think iron grasp which is a fairly common perk would be to bad.
Hex Ruin is not mandatory. I don't use it and I'm doing mostly fine since I tend to play Killers that have map pressure capabilities.
And even it isn't a fix/solution to the problem of gen-rushing, it gets destroyed within 30 seconds way too often.
if you are doing just fine without a DS nerf then does it really need a nerf at all?

Who is the fastest killer? like normal/default running speed with out any perks/add ons/ ect?I have it in my head that the 3 fastest killers are Wraith, Freddy, and Leather Face. Unless I'm completely wrong and its none of them.
I know Wraith is faster when hes invisible, but I think he's still pretty fast right? But yeah who is the fastest killer?
I know Nurse is the slowest killer, but does hag come second, and huntress come third? or does Micheal come third
I'm honestly wondering this for a bit.
Survivors move at a speed of 4 metres/second when they run. That speed is used as a reference point, making it 100 %.
The default Killer speed is 4.6 m/s or 115 %. Generally, if a new Killer comes out, they will be moving at that speed unless they have alternative modes due to their Powers.
Disregarding Killer Powers, there's not really a "the fastest Killer", because most of them have the same speed.
The Trapper, Wraith (uncloaked), Hillbilly, Shape (EW II & III), Doctor (Punishment Mode), Cannibal, Nightmare, Pig, Clown all move at the default speed of 115 %.
The Huntress and Hag move slower at 110 %, to compensate for the Huntress having an injuring ranged Power and the Hag being able to teleport to her Phantasms.
The Shape in Evil Within I moves even slower, at 105 %, to compensate for his tremendously reduced Terror Radius in that stage.
The Nurse is the slowest Killer, she only moves at 96.25 %, slower than running Survivors, to compensate for her ability to teleport at will.
So really, there are 4 movement speed ranges, disregarding changes due to Powers.
If you want additional information, you can look up most speeds here:
-
That is out of the question, it needs to be nerfed and nerfed hard. It creates way too many problems with the balance.
DS is a disgustingly strong Perk, especially since it has no direct counter. I always refused using that Perk, even when I had to equip it to get Adept Laurie.
-
That would make Iron Grasp pretty much a mandatory Perk to have as Killer. That is not a solution.

I don’t mean legacy but something like it exclusive to console would be nice. PC has their exclusives so why not have some kind of exclusive for console!PC has their exclusives for two main reasons:
1) Steam makes it simple to add DLCs (all exclusives are considered separate DLCs by Steam)
2) Without the success DbD had on PC, there would never have been a console version in the first place. There are also other reasons, like the immense grind the game was until November 2016 (Legacy) and Valve not wanting their content on console (Left Behind Paragraph).

It's definitley NOT auto-aim/aim-assist, whatever it is.
The only Killer who had that was the old Nurse and it was a pain in the backside as you couldn't curve her lunge around obstacles like other Killers could.

It's obvious to anyone that you have very little understanding of the Game and its mechanics. @DocOctober Any good Hag mains I know barely thought she needed a buff as a killer who stands better than huntress right now. I was one of the people arguing that she doesn't need a movement speed increase... the goal of hag mains is not to get baby killers playing her so they can camp with her and lurk around the map at ease. That's why increased movement speed was ruled out and buffing her power was chosen... but it could be too much. I think making the basic way to snow-ball with her should be made a tad more complicated. If you even played hag you'd know this change does nothing but complicates the snowball.Show me a hag main that manages to deal with genrush. Because no matter what I try, I cant do anythign against it.
It takes way too much time to get a guy as hag and then there is all the second chance stuff taking away your momentum. Please provide some link for your claim, I would be happy to learn sth from these hag mains

The discussion has been made with the most experienced Hag mains in the game, the devs know their path with her and there's nothing you can do about it but deal with it.
I'm out, since discussions with you are cumbersome, all I wanted to do is let you know that in regards to this statement "The devs don't actually know which posts are from experienced players and which are not..." you were wrong in the case of the Hag.

@TrumpJunior I BNP any killer... no streamer is that special... that's funny if there are some getting salty believing they're getting stream sniped because of it. Killer's are happy to use moris/insta-saw/insta-hatchets/3+ blinks etc... why am I bound from using BNPs exactly?Well to be fair here to this point, killers have an insane amount of tasks compared to survivors so these things are less of a problem for survivors as BNP is to killers.
In regards to the post, she is perfectly fine where she is now ( on PTB I mean ) so no she will not and should not get nerfed
The devs don't actually know which posts are from experienced players and which are not... as a rule of thumb - if the majority of killer mains agree on something in the forum... they're normally not the best killers. Even true said she can be abit too powerful and the PTB can be over-whelming... what this really translates as there's nothing to really do but gen-rush. My nerf isn't even that bad considering you just need to plant 2-3 traps a couple of meters away from each other or so if you really want the same thing. It's just that you have some less access to traps to remove some map control for camping.
I know for a fact that the PTB and any further (upcoming) Hag changes have been discussed directly with long-standing, well-known Hag mains.
So in this case, the devs do know that the Feedback they got was from experienced players who also knew how to play the Hag perfectly well.
-
That would require them to create a separate prestige variation of every single clothing item in the game, which is why there's only ONE prestige outfit per Character.
It's an entirely separate and unique outfit, the prestige blood is not just an overlay that is slapped on top of the default clothing outfit.
-
It's not bugged since there is no auto-aim in this game anymore. What you guys keep calling auto-aim is simply the animations trying to line up properly when the game detects a successful hit.
-
For god's sake, people, this is not an entitlement problem if you regard the statements the devs have made in that regard.
They said that buyers of the DLCs would receive an exclusive cosmetic option that people who unlock Chapters with Shards won't get.
Since they didn't specify what those cosmetics would be/are, people (reasonably enough) assumed that those would new, not yet existing cosmetics.
That in fact, those exclusive cosmetics would simply be any already existing alternative to the default outfit wasn't specified until a couple of weeks later.

Hard to find Ruin? I spawned within 10-20 metres of that Totem the last 6 times the Killer had that Perk.

@MikeLatin7We need a little more information to understand what happened that enticed you to make this thread.
I'm guessing based on the your post that you have a certain PC set-up that you feel is making your Killer Clown seem slower then other clowns you watched or seen?
I was not aware these specs affected the gameplay but this would be good to know for the devs.
However i would post this in the technical support forum section of the forums.Best of luck
I don't know, when I played the clown on PTB he was fast, seemed to me then I bought him and seem slower I got a pretty good setup with a Asus Fx73Ve/1050Ti mobile good cable internet some smaller maps like the clinic fast larger maps slow, just don't know
As was pointed out before: the Clown moves at 4.6 metres/second, like most other Killers do. Your setup won't change anything about that. Be it on a potato or on a high-end gaming PC, he will walk at those 4.6m/s.

Correct, but he also wouldn't have that blasted delay of the Dream transitionSpiritbx said:I mean its not a bad idea, but isnt freddy weaker in the real world?
Also he would just be a normal killer with no power at that point unless you add something.
I say do the inverse! Once the gates are powered everyone starts going in that half asleep state from the movie and cant be woken up.
In this half asleep mode, survivor actions are slowed less(25% as opposed to 50%), but they can be hit by freddy. They also dose off every few seconds, showing their aura to freddy. Similar to how freddy blinks into existence when a survivor is falling asleep but slower.
This would make freddy a weak killer during the gen phase but make him strong end game. -

3v1 games seem to happen rather often lately. People underestimate the impact of having only 3 Survivors left can have, it makes the game considerably more difficult to win as Survivor as there is one fewer Survivor who can occupy the Killer, go for rescues or repair Generators, especially when it's an early DC so that it's basically 5 Gens on 3 Survivors.
Seen as how frequent these games happen, some Survivors are just tired of the added challenge and instead prefer to just give up and move on. I understand them.
-
The Clown has every right to be powerful.
Git gud.
-
The Nurse is fine the way she currently is. Pretty much only Survivors unwilling to adapt their playstyles and not rely on Pallets the entire time have no fun playing against her.
Switching sides, she is supposed to be a difficult Killer to learn, but she rewards that with being the strongest in the game.
There are no changes needed.
People need to stop trying to make the game easier for themselves before actually trying to get good first.

I do however believe they should lock items. No items unless the dev have made specific changes to them, and they need testing.
Also they should limit offerings that are designed to shorten the game, such as mori and things like BNP. Again unless they have made specific changes to them and they need testing.
The problem with the PTB is alot of the games are not taken seriously, because nothing has a cost. Its all the best addons and offerings because you have unlimited amounts of each.
Its hard to gather proper data if everyone is just memeing around.
Wouldn't it be useful to see how items would affect any of the game play they adjusted? There's no reason to isolate them it's a literal core part of the game.
Problem is then everyone taking only the best stuff.AsePlayer said:@Outland said:
