Your idea of being a fair Killer won't bring you far. In low ranks, you may be able to play like that and rank up, but that won't be the case anymore on mid to high ranks.

i'm a rank 12 - 9. i bounce up and down in the numbers.... but i don't run Ruin or BBQ, i don't camp, i rarely tunnel and i try not to hook the same person back-to-back.... i do ok....

You are a tad more experienced than OP, who hasn't played Killer yet.

  • DS / Good Player

    pick one

  • Your idea of being a fair Killer won't bring you far. In low ranks, you may be able to play like that and rank up, but that won't be the case anymore on mid to high ranks.

  • A bunch, but my preferred ones are Ace's Leopard shirt with matching beige pants and Doc's red business suit with green eyes and the Spikey thumper.

Isn't it just down to the fact that you'll charge for too little time as the object you're trying to go through is too thick?

No, there are zones (the aforementioned dead zones) that you can't teleport through even with a fully charged Blink that would go way past the zone.

  • The Wiki usually features a History log, listing the different versions of Unlockables throughout the game's lifetime.

    https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/We'll_Make_It

  • Maybe it's naive, but I don't get why they can't just mark all assets as "can teleport through" and then just leave the border walls and the exit gate spikes as "can't teleport through", because those are frankly the only places the Nurse should not be able to Blink through.

You could always use Sole Survivor. I like having aura reading perks on both the killer and the survivor.

Yes but won't the new killer perks trump that similar to the Shape's ones that trump perks.

    Look the Perk up first.

  • I don't even know what colorblindness is man...

    I see them fine.

THey aren't as bright to you?

    Look it up then.

Colourblind people can't distinguish certain shades of colours from others. The most common is a red-green colourblindness. For those people, shades of red are indistinguishable from shades of green. Now imagine playing on Autohaven Wreckers like that.
  • I think they need to glow brighter for survivors too. Sometimes I don't spawn right on top of one and have to spend at least 10 seconds running around to find what hill its on. i wish they just had huge beacons of light straight out to the sky.

Glow as in Aura, not the actual fire beneath them.
  • Next time, instead of letting the game idle for 99% of the time (judging by your complaint), actually play it instead and get good.

I too am a player of the first hour and these changes are very welcome quality of life updates. If you see anything overpowered in there, you are not a good player, 3k hours or not.

I've seen your history on Steam. You're one to know very well how high ranks are.
Not to be mean, but what did you expect?

At least a little bit of change. I've stayed away from high ranks as much as possible for the past year, it's only now with Emblems that I can't avoid ranking up as easily anymore.

  • Anyone here thinking that the Calm Spirit buff will nerf Doctors clearly has no idea what a good Doctor is.

Do you belong to those who believe that it's the aura-reveal that makes the Doctor powerful?

  • Guess what, the devs want him to be annoying.

    Sucks for you :P

  • Either bad bait or you're the worst player in the history of Dead by Daylight.

People will mock you for telling anything Hag has is strong.
I try to tell people that stuff for ages, and even tho I still got 9 double pip in a row today with her at rank 1, people won't believe anyway.

So yes, Hag is strong, M&A is super strong, and her black skin makes her even harder to spot. But whatever, she's unpopular so she'll get a buff so Mr.Casual can eventually try to have fun/Buy her before getting back to a more braindead killer.

The upcoming Hag changes were actually discussed with long-standing Hag mains, just saying.

I was about to say something positive but then realized that the OP is head admin of the DbD wiki.

    What a fecking crybaby.

What a feckin rude person you are.

My occupation, with you want to call it that, has nothing to do with this. Get lost.

  • I understand the reasoning, but I have to disagree with this suggestion. It would make at the very least the Killer game incredibly boring since most of the newer Killers can vary their playstyle very much depending on their choice of Add-ons.

  • It would be enough if the nerf was reverted and instead the Add-on would be made unstackable with the Belts.

Oh sure, it's my fault, not that of the map designer being an idiot.

So when the map benefits you the designers a genius right?

Could you tell me which map benefits the killers so much?

    Cough Lery's cough Gideons.

Lets see your barn map with nurse, your barn map with doctor, your barn map with the shape. You're complaining about 1 killer perk not making you godlike every time.

Now wheres @DocOctober with his meme?

Fractured Cowshed is a nightmare for Killers, not sure what you're on about and Léry's tends to be a pain in the ass as well.

Just played two hours as survivor, came across 4 separate cases of killer/survivor cooperation farming.
SO frustrating when you try and have a fun evening with some friends.

Maybe they could just halve the cost of everything in the bloodweb for these events instead? Same net gain in bloodpoints:items ratio, but I don't think there'd be as much dickish gameplay

    That's a very interesting idea.

I've noticed killers being massive jackasses and tunneling one guy all game and only getting one BBQ stack and still seeming satisfied. But while I've had a few toxic survivor groups most of them have been pretty decent. I'm having a much better time as killer than as survivor for once. I think it's because the survivors know the killer can ruin their BP party at any time by tunneling and camping them.

I get the entire opposite of Survivors. They will use several Bloody Party Streamer Offerings and come with several BNPs.

  • @Master said:
Yeah that's the reason I usually take the time and drank,  during BP event I only played normal and already climbed jnto purple ranks....
I think I will have to drank even during the event in order to keep my sanity and farm some more BP^^

I was about to ask if you mean drinking alcohol and was wondering if that would help bearing the burden that is high ranks, then I read it as de-rank.

I'm thinking of going back to slug games, just chainsawing across the map, downing people and then leaving them, not caring if they get up or not.

But then again, that would mean no BBQ stacks.

    Easier said than done.

Just ignore him and his comments. That's what I do since I got a couple of very nasty replies from him and it's absolutely better that way. You can't argue with him, it's pointless.

  • @TheXenoborg said:
Killers are bringing moris while survivors are bringing BNPs, while both put the Party Streamer offering. It doesn't make sense. Something about these events encourages the community to be overtly toxic. I don't know what causes this bEhaviour.

Easy, unbalanced mechanics and there still being too many Survivors who enjoy making the Killer's game miserable thanks to douches like Ochido.

@Orion Every time you post a response it's nothing but condescending and generally unhelpful. I will call you out every time bud.

  • I'll make sure to make the game as miserable for the Survivors as is possible, because whenever I was friendly or lenient in the slightest these days, they took full advantage of it and made mine miserable.

I've had it so thoroughly with Survivor mains. All they can do is play toxic and abusive and they think they're actually skilled. Bah!

Yes as in it is "Glitch abuse" because I recorded it and if so I will report it. I am not a noob and got my whole team out but I had never seen it before so I recorded it.

That's not a glitch, it's fully intended and she was able to do that from the very beginning.

Did you even read what you typed or not because this was all submitted to Sony back on the 12th as has already been agreed upon.

This is not a true statement. They submitted the code for certification, multiple times due to certifications failures, and this has nothing at all to do with the PlayStation Store.

    @powerbats said:
Now since Sony then decided at the last minute that it was going to be store only aka everything was dlc that'd mean that it's Sony fault for including in the store only.

Again, this is a false statement. This is not their first time publishing DLC on the store, so it is on them for not submitting to the store until after the certification passed. The DLC is nothing more than activation codes/keys. It is NOT runtime code that needs to be certified. The runtime code is part of what was certified, as everyone downloads ALL code, not just what they paid for.

The rest of your statements are based on false facts that you came up with, so there is nothing else to respond to.

Its' obvious you can't refute my facts, the code was submitted last month, Sony and only Sony decided that it was to be solely dlc all of it. That wasn't BHVR's decision and you know it. It's funny you blame this on them yet Microsoft which got the same code only for Xbox one didn't go the same route with Sony, they also didn't separate it by regions.

Again Sony not BHVR decided it was to be DLC ONLY if you can't or won't accept the fact that was sony's decision then you're beyond talking to at this point. Oh and btw i've done Q&A in the past for a number of years and have done testing work for Microsoft as well as others. you're just upset that Sony screwed you over by delaying this.

you can keep trying to twist what the facts are and what's been said but it doesn't change the fact that SONY MADE IT DLC FOR ALL ITEMS IN PATCH yet Microsoft didn't.

Not_Queen, she already confirmed they are separate in another thread, they just thought grouping them was better, until the backlash. That’s why the announcement was at night, not at the start of the day for the bundle date.

I hope you realise that "night" is a very relative term.

  • There's no valid reason to nerf the Nurse or any other Killer for that matter in the current state of the game and the new patch won't change that. The best mechanics against her (stealth) are not touched with the upcoming changes.

  • Your friend needs to contact the support if he wants any disclosure on his ban.

  • Get the tinhats out

  • He really doesn't need any of those buffs. A longer-lasting effect upon a direct hit would be enough.

  • I hate to admit to this, but I made the same complaint, the reply "git gud" was quite accurate. Once you get good with the Clown, he becomes a solid B+ tier Killer and is quite fun to play as.

A tip: playing him like the Huntress is the worst way to play him. The Huntress focuses on hitting Survivors with her Hatchets, but the Clown is better off throwing them in front of their anticipated pathways, to get the full effect of the cloud

  • The only name I consistently use is Bubba for The Cannibal, because I find it endearing.

  • Survivor: escaping or having outplaying a cheating a Killer for a considerable amount of time.

    Killer: 4 kills/sacrifices/bleed-outs.

  • @Sn0wJob said:
About 200hrs, but given how long it takes to get lobbies I would say 150 is a more accurate number.

So you're still a newcomer. That explains pretty much everything.

  • @WolfPad06 said:
This is something I've thought about pretty much since I bought the game.
I can understand slight deviations or slow downs if a survivor tries to body block you while running, but it seems to me that 99% of the time their collision takes priority over the killer and STOPS IT DEAD IN IT'S TRACKS, which makes absolutely no sense (regardless of the realism of the game, we're talking balance here).

I'm not saying this as a killer player. I've memed so many killers who're going in for the hit before my friend can escape. I just run right into them and POP I teleport in front of them and tank the hit.

As far as body blocking a killer carrying a player to the hook, I can see how a crouching survivor should be able to stop a killer dead in it's tracks (and be punished by getting hit), since the killer is slowed and the survivor is in a much more "stable" posture, but certainly not just push them away like a newborn puppy while they're in a chase.

That is exactly the scenario I'm talking about.

The point I see is: Why can Survivors push the Killer around while both are moving but the Killer cannot? It’s a strange role reversal.

Just tested this in KYF with trapper. Survivors can’t literally push the killer, unless they dead hard, which that’s in place to prevent it from hitting the killer like a brick wall

Have one Survivor run into the Killer from the side while the Killer keeps walking straight ahead, it will divert the Killer's path towards the direction the Survivor is pushing them into.

  • As Cetren said: it mostly depends on how many of the obtained Bloodpoints you put back into levelling that Killer.

There will usually never be a shortage of Common Add-ons and rarely of Uncommon ones.

Green and rarer Add-ons however are more likely to run out unless you spend all Bloodpoints you gained with the Killer back into them.

So you do know that you didn't fulfil the ranking requirement.

Sucks for you, but you have no business complaining. Either fulfil the requirements to rank up, which are now consist of all aspects of the game or don't fulfil them and accept that you won't rank up.

A system that basically exists to reward killers for letting survivors go by making us do dumb little map objectives, like the dumbest ######### ever.

If you think, that that is what Emblems are about, you haven't spent one second actually looking it up.

But seriously, you have 2 choices: take it (Emblems) or leave it (Game).

The Emblem System won't change just because you don't like it.

  • Could you elaborate on what you mean exactly?

  • If your region is underpopulated, the matchmaker will widen the spectrum of ranks it will try matching you to.

  • So you do know that you didn't fulfil the ranking requirement.

I think that Survivors should not be able to push the Killers around simply by running into them or outright blocking them.

The other day, I was chasing after an injured Survivor, beelining for them, then I suddenly get pushed to my right even though I "counter-steered" and saw another Survivor come into my FOV who was running straight ahead into me.

I was absolutely furious because it felt so wrong. I was playing the Trapper, our hulking 7' tall beast of a Killer and that feeble short Dwight who probably doesn't even have half the mass of Evan MacMillan could push me out of my path simply by running into me and there was nothing that I could do.

If he had stopped in front of me, I'd come to a dead stop. That doesn't make any sense. The Killer's momentum should always be able to overpower that of the Survivors, they have more mass, are taller, stronger and empowered by the Entity.

Yes it should slow a Killer down a bit and maybe divert their path a bit, that makes sense, but definitely not what I currently does.

If this was changed, it would also remove the exploit of blocking the Hook prompt by crouching below Hooks as they would be pushed out of the way.

When I am trying to secure a kill and a squad comes in, bodyblock/pushing me away from my hook and savely unhooking their mate, leaving me behind like an idiot I always laugh, equip my slugg build and make survivors suffer for the rest of the day

Devs removed facecamp by allowing to unhook from all angles, yet the killer can be blocked away from the hook easily. Its just a classic example.

In the end you have to understand that survivors represent 80% of the wallets, so if they want to push around the killer, they can I guess

Let's not do anything because the majority of the players are Survivors is NOT an argument.

The devs went down that road and it skewed the game's balance out of whack. Thankfully, they learnt from that mistake.
  • oke said:

Bodyblocking is an essential part of the game. For killers and for survivors. This is a game and it is not supposed to be realistic. Or is it realistic that you can get chainsawed an infinite number of times yet still fully heal to healthy state and running at full speed using Sprint Burst?

95% of the times I get bodyblocked as Killer, I just enjoy the free hits. And the other 5% it is just a really good team rewarding themselves for good teamplay. So I have absolutely no problem with bodyblocking as it is in the current state of the game.

Bodyblocking is not the main part of this thread and what I'm referring to is as much an exploit as the old facecamping was.

Exploits have no place in a game.
