  • I wish there would be achievement for it... Killers kinda miss hard achievement. Evil Incarnate is only left imo. Adepts got easy with resets.

Online video games do be bringing the pettiness out of people :p

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2686773#Comment_2686773

I don't think I've had experiences with survivors complaining about bleeding out. It would be hypocritical for that survivor to be complaining at all bc I think their plan was to (like above) be petty and it was their choice. I'm assuming you've had survivors complain to you?

They usually don't complain about bleeding out, they do that only on forums...

They just find an excuse why they were petty instead and complain about that. You are sweaty, camping, tunneling, slugging etc.

  • @BigChapAlien21 said:

They have a psychological need to rub their victory in your face. If you can't see them winning was it worth it?

When the survivors are obviously waiting for me at the end of the match in the exit gates I like to go chill in a building and let them waste their own time without getting to gloat as my last act of defiance.

What is actually most annoying are survivors that find hatch and just wait for ages on top of it, just so they can jump inside when you get nearby.

Problem is that it can take a long time for me, I am usually lazy and let them find it while watching second monitor...

I had a survivor once that noticed I am afk and that ######### finished all gens and left by gate for Left For Dead achievement.

Funny is that I had Pentimento active, I have noticed him when he finished 2 gens already, so I have just let him do it for that effort.

  • @Mazoobi said:

I think at that point, that survivor most likely doesn't want you to hook them at all.

They'd rather bleed out than give that extra 500 hook points.

Yeah, but at that point they are just petty and it's kinda their choice to bleed out. It's just only option that killer has, unless he wants to let them escape, which ######### them if they tried to do that.

  • Or they hide somewhere just so you can't find them and then cry they had to wait to bleed out, classic.

It's actually really rare for me while playing survivor that killer actually let everyone bleed out.

It's usually because he can't hook us, or we pissed him off a lot.

I mean, when we used Head-on builds and he decided to let us bleed out, I think it is 100% deserved :D

I have let bleed out every survivor who abused that bug, where I couldn't pick them up near walls. Well, they didn't want me to pick them up, so I didn't and just waited till they bleed out.

  • @Feyd said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/299085/survivors-that-don-t-leave

I can posit only a single, legit, logical reason. They want you to come over and trigger a chase so they can get some more blood points.

I wouldn't wager this is a common reason, just that it *is* a plausible one.

That would work for those that wait for a hit = more BP for both sides, but there is quite a lot of survivors that just leave when you get close and sometimes give you some teabags as a gift before leaving...

  • @Jasix said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2686651#Comment_2686651

Eyeroll. Oh no you have to wait 1-2 minutes what ever will you do???

When it happens each game? Yeah, it's annoying a lot.

  • @Shroompy said:

Same could be asked for killers who leave everyone slugged on the ground to bleed out

Its simple, they wanna be a dick

I don't know about you, but that is super rare and you had to piss him off a lot.

It happened to me twice, once we were dicks and group in corner, so he just wasn't able to hook us anywhere and second we had head-on SWF builds, so I think both were deserved...

But waiting near exit gate? Yeah, that is 100% standard. I don't mind that much when they wait to give you free hit, so both sides get free BP, but there is lot of dicks that just leave when you get close, those are biggest dicks.

  • @kaeru said:

Some killers can perform well without addons. Huntress for example has good 1v4 potential and she doesn't rely on addons much. But you still need perks to find survivors because her 40 meter lullaby make survivors hide earlier.

Whispers is actually enough, if you learn how to use it. Bitter murmur is free for all too...

Gen regression perks are bigger issue and fact that BBQ is with licenced killer.

They should really make Jolt work for special attacks too.

  • It's just weird, because it's kinda standard for me while playing killer and I have really low ping. Most I had was 4 validation during one game, yeah I have just stopped playing.

  • I think main issue of CoH is that everyone can self-care without a perk, so this doesn't do much and 30 seconds is nothing.

  • @Sludge said:

Yeah I guarantee the 2k statistic is inflated by hard camping/tunneling and last second NOEDs, turning a horrible loss into a so called "balanced match"

I mean, I wouldn't really balance based on it.

You have Hag, Trapper, Oni, Bubba, Pig, PH and probably some others where it would be way lower.

But it would be still interesting to see and compare with kill rates maybe.

But I definetly think that kill rates are inflated a lot.

Show only high MMR stats would be interesting too.

  • @Phasmamain said:

Tbf besides pig and bubba I don’t see hook rates being insanely different

It would show how many killers get kills from camping...

How 2k game usually looks like: you manage to get kill during game and then you camp second survivor when all gens are finished.

Mainly: I bet killers wouldn't be that close to eachother. Stronger killers get those kills from actual hooks.

Sorry, I must have misread something then, thought you were talking about Otz for some reason (probably because every other post is about what Otz said.)

Post is about what Otz did and yeah Otz is amazing killer, but that just doesn't mean anything when he plays against normal players, but his game with Plague in hexys tournament was really good.

That guy I quoted was talking about big data kill rates and trying to say it means something even tho it's just useless.

I would wanna see hook average tho and mainly pick rate, Deathslinger's pick rate must be so funny. I think pick rate must be really bad for some killers, that's why they didn't show it last time and showed only killrate that looks "better".

  • @dugman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2684639#Comment_2684639

I’m not sure where Otz allegedly said Nurse is “survivor sided”, you have a link? Because on his killer tier list last month he put her as the “indisputable” number 1 killer in the game.

    https://youtu.be/hc80gyYm278

I am not talking about Otz.

You know, there is usually reason why you Quote comments, so everyone can understand context... I am talking about that guy, who did wrote it in this post...

  • You think game with 6 hooks and 2 kills is good result?

or even better, 2 hooks and 2 kills... balanced.

  • @Trickstaaaaa said:

8 hooks on average still equal 2 sacrifices at the end of the day lol. Just be honest you want killers to get an average of 4 sacrifices each game. I mean that is what I'm getting from this.

    That's nowhere near same.

You can get 2k from two hooks, you can get 2k from 10 hooks. Is it same?

2k is quite normal result for me. I don't think those games are balanced tho.

What he is saying that we should look at number of hooks during game, because that's better representative about how balanced it actually was.

  • @Bartlaus said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2684768#Comment_2684768

True. It's still questionable why a killer would have to do a perfect 2 pip game while locker Dwight can escape with a depip. Btw Ive had the worst experience with Blight and Trickster at Rank 1 (before sbmm and after their release) I'll never forget that XD Old Blight was so clunky to play and Trickster is... well... u know him :'D

Yeah, I have done everyone (except killers after SBMM) in red ranks, for me worst was Oni - chaser emblem was so annoying to get. Pig was hard too. Trickster was annoying at start, because it wasn't counting his knives for emblems.

  • @Smuk said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2684694#Comment_2684694

you cant hide it? on 3 stacks everybody gets exposed icon?

If you use m1/m2 based on your attack (Blight, Demo etc) they will know, but it doesn't show up if you use projectile like Trickster, Pyramid Head etc.

So you can use it and then just start with mori as surprise.

  • If you removed that, you would have to either reduce her cool-down by a lot, or increase repel duration.

  • It's way easier now. Just wait for reset.

  • Devour Hope was always good, you can use it like 4th perk where it sometimes win you a game. I really like it on killers that can hide it till mori like Trickster. But it is still hex, so it's just useless in most games, because all survivors are looking for totems in boon meta.

Demogorgon with Lifeguard Whistle addon is really good with Devour Hope.

  • @Predated said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2682709#Comment_2682709

Because having a perk not work as it's supposed to is healthy?

Nah, you might dislike Dead Hard, but that's no excuse for survivors who did time their Dead Hard properly to be punished with a down simply because the Killer was an annoying childhood friend during tag being like "NUH-UH, I DID HIT YOU" and then you still being "tagged" even though you were already a floor below before they even screamed they tagged you.

Oh right, because it's so healthy now... It's super frustrating for killers. I used DH and got exhousted a lot of times on ground, but that was something I knew is part of that perk. It was one of most used perks anyway.

What do you mean, not work? Main value from DH is distance and that worked.

Thing is: survivor has option to use it earlier, killer doesn't have option to hit later, unless you are in open, but at that point you are dead anyway, but when you are near pallet, you just have to go for it.

  • @OldHunterLight said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2678012#Comment_2678012

The only thing that has worked for me is continue playing 1 shot killers, nurse and blight.

I've been playing billy a lot again and slowly I'm having fun again if I'm not playing pallet breaking simulator ofc.

And yeah, I also had fun as the artist probably because of low mmr but it got boring after a while.

People don't seem to understand that some killers don't want easy wins, some want to outplay and be outplayed, not outperked.

Hit and run was killed because of the current healing meta and sadly I do not like playing nemesis so I can't give any advice on him.

People seem to think that you have to win 300 matches back to back to max MMR when in reality it is like win 20 matches and you can lose 10 in between.

    Yeah, you get it.

I don't really care about 4k. Killers don't wanna get easy 4k, they just wanna have fun games. Problem is that during MMR you either get easy 4k, which is boring or you get stomped super hard and game ends with 3 hooks total, it's just really rare to actually have fun.

Some of my best games I still remember, they actually escaped, but they were good without stacking second chance perks. Thing is, during those games, they went for a lot of protection hits, which is just standard now. Every noob can do it with CoH. It was way harder before when you didn't have free healing.

u talking about the low mmr killers he always paly against in his videos where he performs cj techs, dumb techs and else?.

Not really, I am talking when he grouped up as SWF and doing hardcore survivor challenges.

Btw you want to tell me that Otz went against comp team only? No, they did some really stupid stuff.

  • @dugman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2682725#Comment_2682725

FYI A second kill isn’t guaranteed with NOED if the survivors are healthy and on first hook. They can find the totem, cleanse it, then do a Borrowed Time plus DS save.

Also even when it works 2 kills is a draw, not a win, even by MMR standards.

It doesn't guarantee it, but your chance is way better than without it. No way out can work same.

BT + DS don't really do that much, at least not for me. I never try to go after unhooked person when camping, my target is always that one unhooking, that way I get more hooks, because they will go for more saves.

And it doesn't change fact that he said, based on big data that Nurse is survivor-sided...

  • I wish pebble was just based on cool-down instead of TR. I would use it all the time.

  • @Phasmamain said:

I mean what do you want them to run autodidact?

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2682566#Comment_2682566

Disagree that it would be OP. If you can down multiple people that fast, you would already be in an advantageous enough position to be able to win anyways. In that position, it would just be win more.

Also, I don't understand what you are talking about with CD. You'd know if it was used if you hear a gen explode, hear someone on a gen scream, or see a gen start to regress. Drop the CD, drop the M1 requirement.

    Survivors don't scream with Jolt...

and you don't hear it if that gen is inside building etc

That CD is really good that it works as notification. It could be replaced wtih something else to show when it is triggered tho.

  • Right now, most killers are willing to have hatch contest.

If you would do this, even if I found hatch first, you know that I will never down you and I will basically be forced to wait out end game timer?

You would get way more killers just slugging for 4k, just so they don't have to deal with this BS.

  • @Akhaten said:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/WW5NEPESTAIC/image.png

BHVRs devs are totally not biased towards one side.

I would just make it that if there is validation needed, lower ping wins.

  • @Marc_go_solo said:

It doesn't prove anything other than a highly-skilled individual with the strongest add-ons can beat those survivors he played at that point in time, on that day, on that map, with those actions. I understand where he is coming from, but it doesn't really add anything to thw argument, in my view.

I really don't know whether the game is biased towards one side and I have no major interest as to it neither. But every single trial is unique with so many factors to consider. Certain things can tip the scales, such as SWF comms or a pro-killer, alongside all that rng, but it's not clear-cut. Indeed, the kill rates I saw recently still indicate killers that are lower down in tier-lists like Pig or Cannibal out-perform higher-tiered killers like Spirit or Nurse (who has the worst kill rate). Again, of course this is down to many factors, but the fact is on average that is what the killer results are. According to results, Pig is S-Tier and Myers (who a lot mock for being weak) still has one of the highest kill rates.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/RYD5DX3DV6DJ/screenshot-20211207-101819-reddit.jpg

So ultimately, the idea of the game being biased towards one side or the other is subjective. According to above, it's slightly killer-sided, unless you're playing Trickster or Nurse when it becomes survivor-sided. And even that assumption is wrong because of so many other factors, but really this is the only solid evidence available to go on.

That's not really how it works. Did you really just say that this game is survivor sided for Nurse?

You see, it's kinda dumb to say 50% is balanced. You camp first survivor and then get second kill with NOED? Is it balanced game?

Even when you played really bad, if you didn't give up you can get at least 1 kill, so it's not between 0-4, but results are between 1-4.

  • @ShinobuSK said:

Yes. All you need to do is to play strongest add ons, strongest perks, use map offering, have 7000 hours in the game and its easy.

Yeah and I wouldn't say he is affraid to tunnel... He does it more than before lately.

  • Yeah, feels good doesn't it?

My record is validated 4 times in one game, while having less than 30 ms ping. But this is to punish "lagging" killers, right? So it's fine...

It was annoying with pallets, but who the ######### thought it's good idea to use it for Dead Hard too...

  • @SleepyWillo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/298720/otzdarva-is-proving-you-that-the-game-is-not-survivor-sided

You can never compare the playstyles/ability of someone that plays this game professionally to anyone else.

Same thing when people claim its survivor sided because X streamer escapes most of their matches.

The game started off survivor sided but has had a lot of changes over the years and currently (definitely prior to boons) is the easiest killer has ever been.

With all that said, the power is still where it has always been: "Comp" SWF>Killer>Solo.

Let's be honest, you don't have to be that good to be "dead squad". Yeah, unless it's also decent top3 killer, but otherwise? Just do gens and don't get downed under a minute during first chases.

  • Then you have Ayrun destroying every killer, what is your point? That people who has this game as a job are better than normal players, no #########...

The thing is, teabagging either affects the game positively for you or doesn't affect it at all. The only thing it can negatively affect is your mindset. My best tip against teabaggers is to just remember how childish they're being. Probably a teenager, or even worse, a whole adult, who thinks they are special because they outplayed you. If they're in solo q, their teammates probably dislike them as well.

Nah, I just tunnel the ######### out of him...

But what really hurts is when you are nice and give them chance to leave and those ######### then wait near exit gate just to teabag you...

  • Pyramid Head wasn't really bad change. He can spam his power more instead. I really wouldn't say that Pyramid Head feels bad to play...

Deathslinger got it way worse and mainly Deathslinger was never considered as good killer, B at best.

  • I wouldn't say it takes no skill, you still need to get some knowledge, but I think it is easier and mainly less stressful than killers.

Yes, it’s the easy way. But playing like that they win matches they don’t deserve and end playing with people better than them, and come here crying every day

So instead you don't do it, lose against "your skill" survivors and come "crying" anyway.

    How does that work?

Mettle of Man is kind of BS again, now that Boon: Circle of Healing was added to the game.

I no longer need to choose between bringing a medkit or sabo box, saboteur or self-care/inner strength.

I can now always bring a sabo box, and occassionally bring saboteur if I've been having trouble anticipating which hooks the killer will use. I personally don't even need to bring CoH, because someone in every single one of my games brings it--and I'll bet my life they always will in its current state. Its a better alternative to Self-Care, which was already way too popular.

I procc'd Mettle of Man twice in one game recently. I used to have a hard time getting value out of it even once. Its too easy to heal up now.

Yeah, it's really good combo, but try to imagine that BS with old MoM...

Not only this but they pretend like every group they face is team oracle, and I've got news for them if they think every survivor team is op and as strong as they cry about than they're just bad at the game and need to get better, not every team is a tourney sweat squad that finishes the gens in under 4 minutes and in their mind it's totally impossible they did anything wrong, they can't accept that they get outplayed and come here to make a laundry list of excuses as to why survivors beat them and what they want nerfed.

OP just said that killer is way more stressful and survivors have easy time, which is true... so what are you talking about? If you wanna talk about generic comments, I can do same for survivors. Every day I see posts about how NOED is broken and killers need nerfs... nothing new. Both sides have tons of players that just keep crying without proper reason, so don't try to act like it's killer thing...

His aiming did need fixed but why on earth did they nerf is TR......he's a close to med range killer not a long range like huntress or Trickster......besides his whole backstory explains why his TR would be so small.

I actually don't care about that. Just ADS nerf would be enough for me to stop playing him.

Bigger TR makes him worse killer, ADS nerf makes him clumsy and unfun to play.

  • @Tiufal said:

False logic. Killers camp, tunnel and slug cause thats the cheapest way to play and makes survivor gameplay frustrating as hell. You dont do it cause survivors have it easy that would be a blatant lie.

False logic. Killers camp, tunnel and slug cause that's most optimal way to play and give you actually chance to win even against decent survivors.

There were good alternatives (3-gen,hit&run), but those got removed with CoH.

  • I wouldn't get that far, but yeah, it's bad...

I think MoM was bigger BS.

  • People already DC and they would do it way more without any penalty.

They would have to implement something to help survivors that keep playing. Well, they should do it anyway and keep penalty... Maybe extra BP? Enough BP can fix anything.

I've been told that it would be too OP on strong killers, but I don't buy that. It always felt to me like they were talking some Magical Christmasland scenarios where all your dreams come true.

It would be kinda OP, if it worked for M2 and no CD.

Slugging builds would be really strong with that.

Well, I am not sure really OP, but it would be possible to balance with with lower %.

Problem is that 0 CD is not really that big buff, because you would lose information part from that perk, right now you know if it was used or not, because of CD. So I would keep CD, but maybe lower it to 20s.

Look, at least half of killer roster have very simple powers and are easy to play. Wraith, pig, hag, legion, myers and so on. So unless you want to master a bunch of really unique killers, overall learning killer should be easier than learning survivor.

I can aggree with Wraith, Legion and Myers.

But you really think that Pig and Hag are easy killers?

Using Pig's crouch + charge effectively is not an easy task and Hag has just completely different playstyle compare to any other killer.

    >Learn how to play against a killer is usually way easier than learning how to play that killer.

That's true. What I'm saying is that killers not necessarily have to learn all killers, while survivors forced to play against all killers and it's mandatory to learn counterplay to each killer

You usually have to learn multiple killers. I doubt there is any player that found his main on first try...

Also you need multiple killers to unlock optimal build and you usually play them.

I don't think there is any player that played only 1 killer from start.

I think you can say this about every build run by swfs. Plus those games are too and far between.

    1. Bring a map offering
    2. Bring a build that is extremely good on that map
    3. Play the build and annoy the killer

I think this more a problem with map offerings than the build. Killers can do a similar thing on certain maps.

Personally I think the perk is fine outside of those scenarios.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2681758#Comment_2681758

It would decrease it blessing time by 2.66 seconds in exchange for one less perk slot. So you will only have 2 slots to use the normal meta perks, rather than 3.

Basically the thing as I said above. Open handed is normally 16m but I thought that was too much.

Yes this means blessing faster. Just doesn't make sense that they don't work together. Same way they fixed DS to now deactivate while blessing. There's a word I can't think of that explains this better.

Both ideas I think are fine. Last chance will be extremely rare when it will work. I think it would only be run in meme builds since it's not good enough to be meta. All Options would take 80 seconds at best to recover exhaustion which means you won't be getting Dead Hard twice in 1 chase and extremely unlikely you'd get Sprint Burst twice. It sounds as bad as Exponential but in theory it isn't.

Personally think a cooldown isn't a great idea since I think it really won't effect the perk. I think a limited use or not blessing the same totem twice is better.

    What can killers do?

I can think of mirror Myers, but that's kinda meme...

I don't think it would be good, it would be kinda Head-on SWF level, or sabo SWF. It's just so annoying to deal with.

but this one would actually be valid, where you can easily win that game. Headon / sabo SWF: you are just testing if that killer will leave or not...

1 … 16 17 18 19 20 … 57
