Yeah, nothing new.
Let's hope they will do some changes in mid-season patch.

Who cares? Noone plays Twins.
I played them a lot. They nerfed them first, then release two boon perks that counter Twins.
Maybe there is reason why they are not played...
I would like to see more of them as survivor too. Kick the baby!

I think I saw it once few months ago. But that skin is also so cool. It was my favorite before the new frozen came.
I would love to use those skins for normal killers, but it's just really bad for a stealth killer...
It is what it is.

The head on example is really good had to face those guys more the I like.
I just think every body is entitled to there fun cause games should be fun but since I can't do anything about the survs deciding to do a head on build for example I just ensure I have fun you know what I mean
Yeah, both sides want to have fun.
You want to have fun while playing the game. That's just normal thing.
Major difference:
There is something broken in Warzone: everyone is going to talk ######### against devs, not players using it
There is something broken in DBD: Most players are going to talk ######### against players using it instead, because it's not one group for whole game, it's one group against another group and they don't leave this mindset in game.

Well that is the same case with that Halloween Blight skin for Ghost face.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2689276#Comment_2689276
At least something :D
Yeah and how often you see that skin?
I usually only see that red mask skin, because it's harder to notice.
-
Spirit looks super good, but I don't really play her and I already have skin for her.
Ghostface is kinda pay to lose, it's hard to stalk survivors when they can see you across whole map

Okey to be fair fps isn't my genre but when I think about wow battlegrounds for example there gear and class can make it so you can't win but nobody says hey the hunter should only use two abilities
There are classes in battlegrounds?
Whatever, it's still only one group.
I mean, noone is happy when there is OP thing in game. Warzone not long time ago released MG82 and that was super broken and noone wanted it to stay there, because it wasn't fun to play against it, see?
It's not just dbd thing. Difference is that in those games, everyplayer is kinda on same side, which is just not true for DBD.
Killers want to have fun and survivors want to have fun. Where their ideas to have fun usually clash hard.
Head-on builds SWF for example is super fun for survivors, I can assure you it's not fun for a killer. What is worst, it doesn't end, you need to slowly kill them while gettings stunned for several minutes. They will never finish gens.
-
There is so many offerings you could just remove, but they are not going to do that.
They want things you can waste your BP on.
So what offerings I would remove:
Luck
Fog Thickness
Hatch Location
Hook Numbers
Shrouds
Map
Wards
-
In FPS games you both have same chance, you can do exactly same thing and let's be honest, it's not like you are happy to get sniped on 400m, you just can't do anything about it, but mainly you just died and you move on next game in few seconds.
I can torture you for a long time in DBD. Both sides have options to make it very unfun and mainly: you can hold hostage too. You just make it way worse and for longer.
It's also asymmetrical game. You actually need players on both sides to have fun, so they keep playing and your queues are not super long.
You rage quit while playing Warzone? Noone gives a #########. When there is only one side, it's just easier to get players, you need to focus on only one group. That's problem with asymmetrical games, you need two different groups and both need to have fun.

I never had that happen once doing this my friend. As I said most survivors are not Toxic Trolls 90% of my matches result in survivors either leaving their items behind as a tha you for a fun game or a crouch to be knocked down and crawl out....
It happened to me several times.
They were getting destroyed, so I have let them recover several times. Problem is those idiots thought they made comeback with their "skill", so they become cocky and toxic...
I should have just camp them.
I do 3 a lot, I do 4 a lot just not gain MMR with some killers.
1 is impossible for me with some killers now, I tried to win as many games as possible there, so those games are just terrible there, ######### that.
2 is not something I would do normally, why lose chase for it? This is something I do based on what survivors do. Like that slowly turning towards them and stuff like that, it can be funny sometimes.
-
Yeah, you do all that and then those ######### wait for you near exit gate just to teabag and leave when you get close.

One survivor uses the best perks, the best map offering, and plays pubs in a 4-man competitive team SWF.
Another survivor brings no perks, no map offering, and solo queues into a lobby with 3 randos.
Both survivors are playing to escape. Who has to work harder to actually make that happen?
You might be bitter that someone is stacking the deck in their favor, but that doesn't make them sweaty when it takes zero effort to do so.
One of the above-mentioned survivors is leaning back in their chair all relaxed, reading chat and talking about how easy this game is--probably not even giving 10% of their brain to the game. Meanwhile the other survivor is upright in their chair, focused, and actively learning from their mistakes because they can't afford to make too many of them.
You're delusional if you think the former survivor is the "sweaty" gamer in this scenario.
Find a better word. You're trying to put a square peg in a round hole.
Tryhard is good word. I never really understood why "sweaty" is used so much in dbd. I prefer tryhard, it means exactly what it say.
That game is easier for him, but it's not like he is going to try less to win. They are both going to try escape, one just increased his chance for it massively.
He is actually going to try more probaly. If you lose without any resources, you usually don't care. If you use everything you can to win and you lose? Yeah, that's 100% on you. Noone ever used Haddonfield offering with 4x balance landing and then went easy on killer.

I doubt anyone is going to try it against bubba :D

Can't believe killers are complaining about this. This event is just for people who want to have fun for two weeks smh. just deal with it lul
Wut?
I just said that there is one killer unplayable and few are worse because of this. That's the truth.
and sorry but this is fun only for survivors, there is nothing for a killer. If it is fun for a killer is 100% based on survivors. They can make his game way worse if they use it as endurance effect only.
I had survivors once to meme and tried to do Red Light / Green Light, that was quite fun. But 95% it's just free endurance effect.

@KayTwoAyy said:
...and an argument could be made that Sweaty Killers don't exist, either.
I feel like a boomer--needing to address this fallacy--with the term "sweaty" only circulating in the gamer community for a little under 4 years now.
A "sweaty gamer" is someone who works harder, not smarter; someone who practices a game's skill mechanics to an extreme, but doesn't fully understand how or why they are applied.
A game needs a substantial skill ceiling in order for players to be provided with an opportunity to "sweat," and the reality is that Dead by Daylight's skill ceiling is incredibly low. There is no skill to master as a survivor in DBD (unless you consider looking behind you while running forward a skill), therefore a good survivor is always working smarter, not harder.
DBD is a thinking game, while a game like Fortnite (where the term "sweaty" emerged) is as much a thinking game as it is physical. It can't even be debated that the two are comparable. Fortnite gamers spend hundreds of hours practicing their fundamentals in creative mode, while DBD gamers spend 2-10hrs (at most) learning to moonwalk in tutorial--a skill, by the way, which doesn't make you any better at DBD.
Simply put, someone is not "sweaty" for playing intelligently.
A survivor's sole objective is to escape, so this idea that someone is "sweaty" for trying to complete the objective is ludicrous.
This is the only PvP game community I have ever seen where players are frowned upon for trying to win. Dead by Daylight is a zero-sum game--you are not hip or cool because you rebel against the game's design. You are not better than someone because you escape after memeing all game while they died trying to play the objective.
You are wrong when you call someone sweaty, and you are wrong to believe you stand on any higher ground because you "don't take video games seriously."
People play video games for a variety of different reasons.
If you play video games to relax and destress, and you don't care about the outcome--congrats, I'm happy for you. But some people play video games to win. Some people might just like the thrill of success. Some people might not be finding success in their own life, so they search for it in video games to help their mental health. And some people just enjoy the process of working towards a game's objective or goal.
Whatever their reason may be, a person is perfectly validated for trying to win.
So Please, stop making fun of people for trying.
4x medkits, 4x same meta perks and map offering is not sweaty?
at that point that is just not about skill at any point, it's who will use better resources.

Welp good to know that BHVR are keeping the streak going of somehow making something fun annoying and pointless.
not only can killers not hit you or they just use their power on you while you’re in a snowman to deny survivors the cosmetic, or survivors busting out early to deny the killer the cosmetic, Learherface can ######### down you if you’re in a snowman.
Yet another thing to add to the list of why Leatherface is a bullshit killer. What’s the point of giving the killer the slowdown as if they hit you if leatherface and certain other killers can just counter it!
Yeah, try to play Twins, Ghostface or Billy..
-
@SunsetSherbet said:

It's kinda broken against Billy too. Ghostface mainly is going to lose shroud and can't stalk them.
I don't think Legion cares really, because you shouldn't lose Frenzy for it, right? It's kinda like you can hit hooked survivor with frenzy.
Snowman is locker on steroids...
Bubba doesn't give a #########.
I am gonna have to test how it works for: Hag, Trapper, Trickster
-
CoH is not that good for tournaments, because those games are just done faster and you can bring 4x medkit each game, that's just not possible for normal games.
That's why CoH is so good for normal games, you give your all teammates free infinite medkits. Also CoH is not any issue for those killers, they just commit anyway to most of their chases, lower tier killers just can't do that.
and I don't think 2,16 is killer sided. Thing is, that results are not really between 0 and 4. Even when they got stomped, they were able to secure at least 1 kill except one game, so it's actually between 1-4, so avarage should be around 2,5 with that logic.
Hook stages mean nothing, if it was from first hook, it still counts as 3 hook stages.
I don't really wanna nerf survivors overall, except spawns those are broken and CoH. That's it for survivors in terms of nerfs, then just tons of buffs to weak perks.
I don't think top killers (S-A) need changes, I would just buff lower tier killers so they have some chance too.
You can't really use only top 3 killers and say it's balanced game, you it's kinda balanced for few killers, but I wanna see those results for Legion, Clown, Ghostface etc.

No killer can perform well vs equal survivors if both sides are good.
Also no, whispers is not enough to win games vs good players either, you can repair all 5 gens in about 3-5 minutes without any gen speed up if killer has no slow down and noone can kill 2-3 survivors in that time no matter the killer if both sides are equally matched.
Whispers is detenction perk, not slowdown perk...

Yes killer is more stressful, but I still think solo q is a more miserable experience. At least when you play killer, it really depends on you if you win or not. In solo q, it depends on you and your team mates, sometimes it seems more like a 1 v 3 v 1
Let's be honest, it depends a lot on survivors if you win or not as a killer too...
I usually play SWF, just because I like to talk, but I have played soloQ for challenges and it wasn't that bad and we almost always had multiple escapes. Kindred is must have tho, so you can make sure there will always be someone to go for save.

Just #########...

not to mention the dead hard changes, victor would pounce and go into cooldown ready for a prime kicking even tho the pounce didn't technically hit. between that and the 8 second fatigue its so slow and clunky to play them.
Oh right, I completely forgot about this one. It's sad, Twins are probably most original killer since Plague.
-
@glitchboi said:
We probably won't be getting another after Legion and GF's changes for a while, since they're going to be working on the survivor side instead.
Yeah, I am worried about that a lot... I hope that is not going to be another ######### show.
-
I would make hook based, but only 1. That's still more than double you can possibly gain per game.
2 per hook would be just too strong imo. That effect is not bad at all, it's quite good. Just requirement is bad.
If you gained 2 tokens, you would actually just have extended lunge whole game since first hook. You know, two hits should be downed survivor = more tokens.
Alternative would be 2 tokens per unique hooked survivor. 8 per game is still more than 5, so buff and this way it would help you in early game way more and promotes hooking different survivors, which is always good thing to get from a perk. So that way might be better.
-
We need also skins.
I enjoyed playing Twins a lot, but first that nerf to Victor and then boons... I play them just for challenges now.

Survivors have the chance with perks or without to get items on the map trough chest while they also can bring one into the match trough the blood Web
Killers can only get addons in the bloodweb which is there "item". So it would be only fair if they can get addons in matches
Not really, chests are kinda "side-objective" that can waste survivors time, which is good.
I just don't care about most addons, so this would 100% useless for me at least.
There is no animation for this, so it would be just super weird anyway, I have no idea how it should look. Just pickup addon icon and press it into your weapon? :D

Map Offerings will turn me into a jerk you send me to Haddonfield,badhamen,Ormond... etc I'm not playing nice survivors very much know that those maps are a bad time for killer and you clearly don't care about my fun so I don't care about yours.
I don't understand stand why the macro is still a thing. The only propose it serves is to anyone the killer.
I used to just have a rule to kill everyone whenever is offering in play, but it's not that strict for me anymore.
Yeah, Haddofield is bad, but it used to be way worse before nerfs. It's not that BS map without basement window, still annoying tho.
When I am gonna be biggest tryhard and just camp from first hook is RPD offering, I hate that map so much.
-
But my challenge...
You better hope I don't have pallet stun challenge, or glyph challenge. I am gonna be so useless.

I normally would just let it go but that day i just wasn't feeling it. Thats the dbd community in general though not everyone of course but this game seems to bring out the toxic in people.
I've caught myself been kind of a jerk as a survivor a few times a was like hold on don't so that that drives me nuts when I play killer.
It's easy for me: if they play fair, I will too. If they are toxic, I am gonna do my best to kill them all.
if they manage to make me laugh, they will escape. That's why I like to play pig, a lot of players go full meme against piggy.
I mean, try to use flashlight macro once and you will never get from that hook, if I can help it.

As a Spirit enthusiast, she’s still very much S tier.
Hmm, kinda suprised I mostly agree to this.
I think Artist is more like high B tho and probably moved some inside tiers, but that is minor thing.
Hag used to be higher, but she really doesn't like CoH... I would put Wraith lower for same reason and also that basekit nerf, either low B, or high C.

I had someone go down on the side of the main building in Ormond and they crawled into the wall(just there head) so I couldn't pick them up and they knew they were doing it because I swung at the wall a few times and they started shaking no. I was in a mood so I was like well looks like your bleeding out. I stood on top of them about 20 seconds later they clawed out and tried to crawl away.
Yeah, every time someone tried it, I just gave up on that game and waited on top of them till they bleed out. Funny is, there is almost nothing they can do about it.
and they have an audacity to ask me why I did it in endgame chat.
-
Every time I see this advice, I just think about that grandpa meme, where he is smiling, but he is actually slowly dying inside.
Only way to have fun is not trying to win, ever. Just find games where it's not super easy for you, but also not 3 hooks per game level and just kill 2, get other 2 dead on hook and let them leave, easy. This way you get kinda experience of before SBMM red rank style.
