This perk is awful on all but one killer (Spirit) and it literally makes her uncounterable, surely it should be made more useful for all other killers and toned down for Spirit?
Is Iron will going to get reworked at any point?

Clown is probably one of the best killers in the game. Discuss.
At point 1 you allready proved yourself wrong imo.
"if your good with him"
That goes for every single killer, if you're good with a certain killer you do get a hit at every loop.
If you're bad with a killer you don't.
You have people who like clown and spend time to get better with him and really play good.
I play a lot of wraith and am pretty good with him if I say so myself.
Does that make him a strong killer?
Meh not really
Do others play him wrong?
Meh some might but not every one.

Never said Swf were not selfish, I play alone, I've had a swf, just leave me with a key after I kept unhooking all 3 of them, I mostly play games where no one is swf, as far as I can tell, at least the swf are helping each other solo qs tend to not care enough to take risks, they dont like getting exhausted for a save, don't like taking aggro for others
Then I think the title would've been better something like "pls survivors stop being selfish" or something along the line 😉

The way the match goes sometimes makes people not wanting to help others. For example, match starts and I go to a gen. 10 secs later, someone is found and downed. 20 seconds later that person is saved and another one is downed. 20 more seconds and a third survivor is downed by saving the second survivor while the killer is near.
I finish my gen, maybe get to another, the third survivor is saved, the first one gets downed, the second one is now healing in a corner. Then someone else gets downed and I'm trying to fix, no one else is doing it and then maybe the killer now downs two of the other survivors.
Sometimes I go to help, sometimes I just keep fixing and see how it goes, because the team has made it impossible for us to win, by just wanting points and making unsafe saves.
Also, if the killer killed two survivors, only 2 gens are done and someone is on the hook struggling, I might or might not go for the save. There is no way for both of us to survive at that point, unless one of us has a key and I have saved people in that situation that then let me die on the hook because they want the hatch, even though I just saved them before.
There have been matches where I make it to the final stage, all gens done, then the killer finds and hooks me. My team then decides to open the gate, even when the killer is not on them and then the killer does go for one of them and they all leave, letting me die, even if I fixed a lot or saved them or ran the killer around for a while. Sometimes being selfish is needed...
Same here, I try everything I can to support my team as a solo.
But it's like you said sometimes they just going done as if they are just standing afk.
Had 2 stupid matches today.
1 vs oni where I did 3 gens solo with ruin up, cleansed 3 totems, did a couple of saves and heals, some chases.
Only to be left to die on my 2nd hook by the last remaining survivor who got the hatch, did 1 gen and 1 totem.
The 2nd was pretty much the same.
Came down to a blendette on her dead hook who leaves me on my first hook.
Then her buttbuddy sents me a message that I need to dc so she can get the hatch 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Sometimes I'm really considering to just be selfish and do my own thing.
And not thinking about the team

It seems unnatural that the killers can waltz off the 2nd story of a building while carrying a survivor without dropping them. Even on their way to the basement, there is no penalty for skipping the stairs and dropping down. My suggestion would be to add significant progression to the wiggle timer if the killer walks off a ledge while carrying a survivor; more wiggle time the longer the fall. Add an offering or a new general perk that uses the existing behavior.
So basically what you are saying is, you want the killer to take the start of the stairs to the basement (or any building with a stairs), so survivors can block the stairs by falling down for a free escape?
If you want to do that then it would be wise like for example on hawkings, if a survivor drops down trough that hole, the go instantly down.
Cause that height will break their legs.
Or on myers map if they jump of roofs, they get a slowdown penalty for x amount of time.
If you want to punish 1 side for falling from heights, you need to do the same on the opposite side.

so sad hit validation was the last hope, in the Test its was perfectly and i liked to play killer too, but that realy realy bad hit validation, i just feel unfair and WILL NEVER PLAY KILLER AGAIN (no missions, no daylis, nothing!) for my good ping not be punished!
i am mainsurviver but sometimes I like to play killer, but when I play killer I have to hit PERFECT and I mustn't miss a 5cm, but when I play surviver ALMOST EVERY MATCH bs hits
NO BHVR ! it is enough ! It cant be that people who have a good latency are punished and those who have a bad latency are rewarded, dbd is the only game that is! defamatory!
MAKE IT AT LEAST SO THAT YOU CAN SEE THE PING FROM THE KILLER IN THE LOBBY! thats the minimum you should do until youve fixed all of this, I really dont know what the problem is that you dont want to bring out the hit validation of the test versions but enough is enough! i am out for killer and if it goes like this then no longer a surviver or dbd ...
that is not the main problem, the main problem is like that, i hit the surviver and didnt hit
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8hGmmIJoi4
but when i play surviver and they shoot me that happen
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJUsK5HwYmU
when i play huntress (this killer who throws ships) my huntress throws nomral hatches (watch that in slomo)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QktCZEzoM84
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZuK_iHOBlE
and other huntress player (ships incoming)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gREkUw4fEJo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkS_-BVVfKU
they have the wood sound (that happen when you hit the wood) and she hit me
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efQiLwPkw3g
when i play freddy, that guy who all says "ffreddy has a greater range than any other killer" my freddy be like
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQXmoJvBmKw
other freddys
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9TLESgT2WI
and then a handful of people in all time they have a good ping like me and punished to by daylight
THAT IS NOT HIT VALIDATION ! its was before hit validation comes that dude has only a very good ping
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ai5SV7N9V3o
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlSO-ZFCZ7E
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlPhq9HCVSs
that is nothing i have so lot of them...
Yup the worse your ping is the more advantage you gain.
I allready had my doubts with the hit validation because of the incompetence of bhvr.
Had a game as freddy vs a 4 man swf from a certain region of the world.
I play with 30 ping against them with 200 and rising pings.
1 of them went even as high as almost 800 ping.
I was literally hugging them when I tried to hit, but did I get the hit?
Nope they get the free pass because they have a worse ping than you have.
I already said it when they were talking about hit validation, that they should look at the one that rainbow six siege has.
There it is, the worse your ping is, the more at a disadvantage you are.
Your ping stays above a certain ping to long?
You will get disconnected from the match.
With bhvr it is the reverse of that.
Will they learn?
I hope so but probably not

If one person is hooked, another is downed, and the 3rd is being chased get off your gen and unhook or heal the downed person, so many games have been lost due to selfish players only wanting to get points, or to scared to try to help.
Your putting the blame on 1 side while it goes both ways.
I've seen both solo's as well as swf play like this.
I always play solo and don't care about escaping but just pipping.
I'd be happy to sacrifice myself to rescue others.
I've seen a 3 man swf where 1 was downed, I got chased but he lost me and chased another.
I go to the downed survivor and who do I meet?
Yup the one who got chased and even tried to heal the downed survivor 🤷♂️
I had were I kept rescuing everyone multiple times, but when I got on the hook the just went on a gen close by and let someone from across the map rescue me.
They didn't took it lightly when I brought the killer to them and pointed to get them, which he did 😂
So yeah it ain't only solo people, goes for swf groups too

She heals me and the killer comes to us, we both run and she blocks my safe way out of there.
She full health me still injured.
I loop a bubba around and trough killer shack.
She hears his heartbeat and wait at the pallet but not paying attention.
I run thinking she is allready gone, nope still waiting there.
I run around and back in and try to fake the window and go for the pallet instead, who do I bump against?

I'm genuinely curious as to why the hex totem isn't announced when first activated. All other totems are displayed when first activated along with status symbol (correct me if I'm wrong here: not counting Devour Hope that notifies the survivor on token 3). Shouldn't we, logically, also get a notification that Hex: Undying is in effect the first time a totem is resurrected?
Best solution.
Touch a gen and let go, if ruin activates go look for it.
As long as the hex icon stays in your screen after cleansing a hex totem you know undying is still up.
There problem solved.

The second you get into a trial, gens are being done. You fgind one survivor, you get into a chase, but then 2-3 gens pop. How is this fun?
How annoying it might be, just try to relax and accept it, it isn't over yet.
For example I played as wraith yesterday on thompson House and as soon as i hooked the first survivor (chase was less than 30s) 3 gens popped.
I go after someone else down and hook him and than went on doing a rift challenge where you need to bamboozle a window 8 times in 1 match.
So I just vaulted the same window 8 times and then went on playing the game again.
And still got a 4k out of it with 12 hooks.
The last 3 gens were accros the map in separate corners.
As soon as i sacrificed the 3rd survivor the last gen popped so was easy to find the last one.
So you see, things can quickly turn around and in your favour.
But i can understand it is annoying as hell when 2 or 3 gens pop really fast

They just like to throw their favorite word "boring" so much that its lost its meaning.
I don't use totem finding perks or maps and still find all the totems.
It's not hard to find them, once you know where they spawn, you just need to remember the spots and next time you can check these out 😉

The match was on Autohaven. I thought the Freddy might be doing the pallet challenge from the way he acted and I was trying to help him since I had Windows of Opportunity. Turns out, nope, he was doing the other thing. While I was on the ground he kept nodding at me like I'd done something. Dunno, it was strange. But no biggie, got out the exit gate and had a nice new key to show for my 3 minutes and 58 seconds of being slugged.
A few matches ago I went against a freddy who downed everyone and went to another survivor, he barely hooked someone.
I think he might have had about 4 hooks.
I knew something was up and yup he was using noed.
I 99 the exit and he opend the other 1.
As fast as I could opened the one I 99 and tried to escape.
0.5 sec to late 😂
Turned around and got away from the exit (benefit of playing both sides 😬) and went for the hooked person and all 4 of us got out.
That's why i thought you and i were in the same match because of this coincidence.
But yeah i have been slugged so many times too, I even got slugged and never been hooked, eventually died on the ground.
Not sure if I had pissed him of as a survivor or killer and wanted revenge or something or he was genuinely a toxic Ahole

I believe it. That's why I need to have at least 1 or 2 people I trust when I play because some random survivors are allergic to doing generators. It's like they were born with gen allergies.
Hahaha yeah sometimes I wish I had smarter survivors too.
Don't get me wrong, I play for the chases and not escaping, escaping is just a fun extra.
But when you spent so much time looping the killer and he refuses to leave you alone, but barely any gen got done, than that really annoys me.
It's more annoying when I go play killer and I apply a lot of pressure without tunneling or camping, I get organised teams.
Wether it be solo's or swf, gens keep popping.
And i get those survivors mostly 1 in a 100 matches 😂

Just because other people use a perk in an un-fun way, it doesn't have to influence you or stop you from using that perk. I just went up against a Freddy who slugged me over and over and over again in an attempt to use Bloodwarden. Failed. Never proc'd. 4e. I still love using Bloodwarden myself, despite the awful way some killers attempt to use it. (Almost bleeding out as he camped me, that's how everyone wants to spend a match.)
As survivor, I dislike NOED mostly because it's usually me who does four totems and then dies at the end when NOED procs. But that's more my teammates' fault than the perk's fault. (Yes, yes, everyone. I know the other way of dealing with NOED is leaving totems up and then checking them after the last gen pops. But when teammates are super unreliable and you're the one who goes down to NOED first, it wouldn't help. You either stop it before it procs or you die. Solo q is suffering.)
Was that on ps4 by any chance on hawkings?
I know, it is not that because people use it in a unfun way.
It's just because I despise that perk entirely

I've seen a Oni do this in Midwitch. I found him just AFK inside the Bathroom breakable corridoor and was a little suspicious. Gens pop, the -other 3 were doing the usual t-bag routine, and suddenly all 3 were downed from nowhere. Turns out he blocked them into the corridoor and hadn't opened the top door. I was the only one to escape. Moral: Don't be clever when you think a killer is AFK.
Hahaha exactly, but it is fun to watch especially when they're t-bagging.
I'm laughing my ass off and asking how they still fall for that 😂

On Killer I want a rift task done I just let the Survivors know and BAM, done in one match zero toxicity
On Survivor I want a rift task done I end up spending 50 to 100 matches over a week or so grinding it out doing anything and everything in my toxic arsenal
That is what I appreciate from killers who do that.
At least they give me the opportunity to skip that lobby cause I hate farming.
I rather complete it during regular play than by survivors or killers get me the challenge without any effort.
Tbh survivor challenges are the easy ones, tho i managed to stun a killer 4 times during a match, but i can't get the 3 times challenge 😂
Luckily the survivors don't have a challenge compared to the 2 Billy ones.
Down 2 survivors within 30 sec with a chainsaw or 7 during a match

I don't like these challenges like "Hook during EGC" where you basically have to throw the game to get it.
So I did Wraith with NOED, Bloodwarden, Infectious and Deerstalker. was invisible and let them do the gens, as soon as the last gen popped I slugged them until everyone was downed, opened gate and got my challenge. I've never felt like a bigger #########, but I did what I had to do. :(
I love when people fall for that strat.
Some survivors are really oblivious to what is happening.
I had this seen as myers and bubba, pretanding to be afk, but as long as I haven't seen a killer all match I make sure I get out asap, or if the team let's me, do bones.
It is hilarious to spectate and see how those oblivious survivors fall victim

@Rydog said:
This is my everyday solo build. It has gotten me to red ranks.
- Bond: It does everything you need a perk to do. It shows you where people are doing gens, where people are getting chased, who needs healing, who to go to for a heal, who's bringing the killer to you, who's running to the hook, who's not running to the hook, etc. It's the best healing perk and also the best information-providing perk.
- Kindred: Same principle, but more situationally specific. I think Kindred is an amazing perk after its buff, and it's just as effective as Borrowed Time for getting clean unhooks if you use it right. It also tells you when the killer is camping (and thus when to just do gens), you can see when the killer is placing traps around a hook, you can see who's closest to go for the save, etc. If I feel like switching things up or need a specific perk for a Tome challenge, this is the perk I sub out for something else, but Kindred is my default.
- Lithe: My favorite exhaustion perk, since it gives you the most direct agency over when to activate it, and it forces you to pay close attention to your positioning. In situations where you need it, it often also winds up putting a big barrier between you and the killer. There are a lot of good arguments for every exhaustion perk, and it's mostly down to personal preference, but this is my favorite.
- Spine Chill: Gives you definitive notice that the killer is headed in your direction, and that you have lost the killer in a chase. Also hard-counters stealth. I cannot play survivor without this perk.
Sure you can run without spine chill.
You don't know how fun it is to be on constant alert when going against a stealth killer.
Also steal killers let you know they are close, they make a lot of sound.
Wraith - gnarls
Pig and myers breath heavily like they have astma
Ghostface you hear his coat.
Demo when exiting his portals sounds like hulk stomping next to you.

I did the NOED one with Freddy and Bloodwarden. I think I two-hooked most if not all of them during the match and most were injured when the last gen popped, so it wasn't like I did nothing and then relied on a perk that may or may not proc to get unfair kills. One of the survivors abused a bug during the match that wouldn't let me pick them up in a certain spot, so I definitely didn't feel bad about using legitimate means to sacrifice them.
NOED doesn't have to reward you for bad play. It's value is minimal if everyone's already injured anyway, and it's a counter to Adrenaline.
No i agree it doesn't have to indeed.
But unfortunately it is run mostly by people who doesn't understand killer or how to counter certain loops, etc.
They mostly focus on 1 survivor and 1 survivor only.
So basically making a 1v4 a 1v1.
But i have come across really good killers and we had to really work for the gens, then fall victim of noed despite he played very well.
Even had a game vs a very good nurse and remained as the last one.
He closes the hatch and I just open the gates and as soon as they opened I got downed by noed.
I never said it isn't legitimate (although it probably refers to that particular survivor), I just don't like the perk because most of the killers that run it rely on it.
Which is probably how I should've worded it instead it rewards you for bad play

So, I've been playing this game since September 2019. I like to think I've gotten the ropes of it - I don't pretend to be the best survivor ever, but I think I'm fairly good.
That said, survivor solo queue has been a nightmare lately, as I've said in another topic. So instead of just being frustrated by it, I figured I'd ask the community: what are your best recommended solo queue builds?
Currently I'm a rank 3, running DS, Spine Chill, Kindred, and WGLF (because I love the BPs, I realize this doesn't help a whole lot in solo queue)
Any thoughts, suggestions, or builds you run?
Any build is good tbh.
I run different builds as rank 1 and some are for fun and some are a bit more serious.
Right now running flip flop, tenacity, dead hard and lower struggle.
Other builds are dead hard, lightweight, ds and inner strength.
Or switching ds with windows of opportunity.
Or lightweight and ds for windows and open handed.
No mither, dead hard, ds, and lightweight.
Boil over, tenacity, flip flop, ds.
Or ds for dead hard.
This are just a few builds i like to run.
But i even play without perks, and items I use on rare occasions tbh.

The second I saw that one of the challenges was for Clown to hit people directly with his bottles, I shuttered. Sure enough, I've gone against at least a half dozen pinky finger clowns in the last couple of days. Not only does that add-on suck, but people who use it are typically tunneling campers too.
You can recognise when people use that add on.
They keep throwing bottles untill they run out or finally hit you with one.
I've vs 1 before the tomes even existed and he kept throwing them add me, when he missed 4 bottles and still kept throwing, I knew enough.
I just finished mine yesterday and only used the ones I always use.
I just aim a little bit better and the challenge was done within 2 minutes.
After that I just made sure they got in the toxic cloud.
@Warr0ck512 said:
Yet I don't think people put 2 and 2 together. I see lots of complaints about things that the Tome challenges are literally asking people to do. I do my best to avoid ones that I feel are toxic to the gameplay but some have to be done. I honestly wish they would think these challenges through a little more but I doubt that will happen. So please read through all of the challenges even if you only play one side so you have a better understanding of what may be going on in your game. If anything it will save you some frustration and not take what the killer or survivor is doing so personal.
Hope you all have a wonderful day <3 Head Bobbing Piggy
That is why i refuse to do certain challenges.
Like for example in tome 1 where you have to use the perk noed.
I despise that perk because it is basically a killers hatch mechanic, it rewards you for bad play.

Yeah, though to be fair the mori nerf was pretty bad timing on BHVR's part. Not sure why they couldn't have made the key and mori changes a packaged deal.
Exactly.
That's the thing I question about bhvr's decision-making.
They know how both go hand in hand with each other, so the wisest thing to do was to release both at the same time.
But i don't think the devs think things trough.
They are like the joker from the dark night, they just do.
I don’t think they want to create diversity on dbd, but i don't think they realise that they create it this way.
And i do fear for ruin and undying tho.
They made it very clear with old ruin, they don't want very good perk synergy.
That is, on the killers side at least.
You could basically hear them hinting at it in the Q&A when they talked about briefly.
As well as when they talked about the ranking system between killer and survivor.
"I don't think it is hard to pip as killer, I have more trouble pipping as survivor" 🤦♂️🤷♂️
I fear that there will be coming a nerf to undying in the next few months the same way as with mori or the old ruin.
"the ptb is out now, oh and btw let us know your thoughts on the new undying perk"
Mark my words, this will happen unfortunately

Goes both ways unfortunately.
You have toxic killers as well as survivors.
Killers get annoyed by toxic survivors, so they decide to play toxic as well.
Survivors get annoyed toxic killer, so they decide to play toxic as well.
It's a never ending circle unfortunately and it won't change unfortunately.
I don't give a rats ass if any side plays toxic, I just think they have some personal issues and they try to lose steam online because there is little to no consequences.
I just try to make it fun for both sides as much as possible.

Your point about difficult skill checks and having your key break is a totally one sided mechanic though. Then think about backwards skillchecks with doctor, skill check shortening perks. Very silly thought tbh.
Why because your precious key will be removed?
Big deal
Yes I know his will sounds like a them vs them, but think about mori, the survivors escape and the killer didn't mori anyone, does he keep the offering?
Nope, exactly they don't.
And getting skill checks with the risk of breaking the key will be a high risk high reward.
Beside you can, I believe, attached add ons to it where it shows you where the hatch is.
So making it easier for you to find the hatch before the killer does.
I'm talking about a key out of your inventory here of course, as a lot of people stack them I presume.
Also it is an idea, just like you asked of me.
Nothing is final, there is room for change, like make it that a key isn't affected by those add ons or perks.
And hitting a reverse skill check is far from difficult.

I don’t see the point of dcing. I love a good mori, makes the games more fun lol
I believe that requirement was by any means necessary.
Or to put it simple wether it was by mori or plain simple by hooking and sacrificing every single survivor.
I have this challenge done I believe (have to check on this) and never mori any of them

I’m seeing people’s ideas, but how would you personally make them more balanced?
i also want this in responses instead of “they’re unbalanced “
I have answered this many times in different posts.
Only because the devs won't remove pity escape i would change the key like this.
Keys will not spawn in a bloodweb anymore and can only found in a chest during a match if you're lucky.
Whenever the hatch spawns you can escape if you have a key otherwise it will stay close no matter if you are the last remaining survivor.
Pressing the escape button will allow you to open the hatch after a X amount of "difficult" skill checks.
Failing a skill check or aborting the animation will force your key to be broken.
You will be allowed to keep the broken key if you escape as well as your key when going trough the gates.
Now my initial thought was first to make any key a 2 time usable item after which it will disappear from your inventory.
How ever I'm aware that that might not be possible so making it a 1 time use item would be better.
That is whenever you escape trough the hatch, you keep it by escaping trough the gates.
That would make keys way more balanced cause it forces you to think before going for the initial escape.
The killer might be close at which you will be forced to abandon the animation.
But the killer has to keep track of the gates and the hatch.
That would be my change, and personally I think it will be a good change too

But it's fair and balanced for a killer to find 3 gens and sit on them like a hen on her nest?
Killers are not supposed to win every game.
Keys are fine.
If you and your team are getting 3 genned than that is on you and your team for not thinking about it.
As a team you F up and still get a pity escape to reward you for making a mistake.
If you see your getting forced in a 3 gen than force it around.
I've been 3 gen myself because my team was just going from 1 gen onto another without thinking about splitting it up,i don't care if I don't escape because we as a team didn't play it smart.
Other times when I see the killer is trying to force a 3 gen, I try to force it around or try to get my team to force it around.
You shouldn't be rewarded for making mistakes.

There are so many threads that speak of keys being unbalanced, but I don’t get it. Survivors still have to complete generators to have it spawn early. 2 Survivors = 3 gens. 3 survivors = 4 gens.
Yet I see killers complaining all the time about it, I understand your frustration about losing points, hooks and pips. But surely is you see a survivor with a key, you have the option to alter your perk build such as Franklin’s to then ensure that they drop that item and risk losing it. I’ve easily played over 100 survivor games in the last few days, and I got a total of 1 key from chests.
It’s the exact same as killers saying “ don’t want to be slugged then use unbreakable/SG “
” use ds and unbreakable to counter tunnelling and slugging. “
Yet when survivors have an item that gives them another option to get out that has its requirements as well, that’s somehow unbalanced? (Yes gens don’t take long, but if you’re pressuring them and actually playing like a decent killer then it shouldn’t be difficult? )
No this is NOT a troll, I’m being 100% serious. I’m not looking for petty and pathetic responses, I’m trying to understand why everyone gets so salty about something that they can literally change using a perk, like everyone tells survivors to?
The unbalanced part of a key is that when the survivors F up their own game like 3 gen themselves, and the killer is pressuring them very well.
All it takes is 1 survivor to die so the other 3 can escape without any effert whatsoever, all it takes is 1 press of the button and they're gone.
They messed up so badly that they shouldn't escape in the first place, yet they get just another free escape.
Yes you can say "oh just use franklins when you see a key" 🤔
How logic it sounds, you have no idea how flawed that is.
How many survivors show their key in the lobby?
Answer: just a hand full of survivors will do that.
Every other survivor will switch last sec to a survivor with a key.
Sure now you can say "just equip franklins when a survivor doesn't press ready"
Yet there's another flaw there.
Most of the time they are just switching outfits, switching perks or are just afk.
So you just switched out a perk you wanted to counter a item that isn't used anyway.
Keys, mori and hatch are just stupid pitty/coward mechanic.

I'm not sure how to feel about it right now because moris have been rendered basically useless and I don't know if I should spend blood points on them.
Honestly I barely used them anyway, only to counter keys.
But i allready played with it as they made it right now, did it mostly on dead hook, or the game was basically over already.
But would've appreciated if they did mori and key at the same time.
Just hold of the mori until the key rework was ready would've been better
Edit: both need/needed to get nerfed anyway,so it was just a matter of time.
But a dumb decision to do 1 and not the other at the same time

Yes, thats exactly the scenario I was talking about. This happened with different killers so I highly doubt this was a client-side issue, my ping is pretty fantastic these days, mid 40s on average.
As far as HV I read on this forum it was reenabled on the 9th which would correspond to seeing this frequently in the last 48 hours.
Yeah as far as I know it still is enabled cause I haven't seen anywhere that they've disabled it.
Only the previous one because there was something with oni.
But yeah I'm indeed also positive about that as my ping is 30ms and sometimes even lower, at worst it goes to 40 but never higher.

they switched off serverside hit validation due to bugs again and killers are probably cranking up the vpns rather than quitting by the look and sound of it
Are you sure?
You got any info on where they stated that they turned it off again?
@madradfox said:
No I agree with the OP. The last 48 hours, there is something unquestionably and seriously wrong with hits getting through on vaults and dropped pallets. I have had instances of dropped pallets where the killer gets pushed back, flashes in fron of the pallet for the hit animation, yet teleports to behind the pallet afterwards.
Might explain why i got hit when i dropped the pallet and he teleported to my side when I dropped it.
I vaulted immediately and got downed.
Even if he had enduring he wouldn't have been able to hit me.

God what an idea. Kill faster with scratched mirror. My bad.
Hahaha yeah some people tend to forget what certain add ons do to killers.
Same as infinite tombstone myers.
Takes ages to reach T3, especially when you verse good survivors who know how and where to break line of sights.
Plus he's slow AF and thus easily to lose him
-
Personally I would love to see both keys and the hatch removed entirely.
If you need the hatch to escape than you don't deserve it.
Yes your team could F up and you could still escape.
But it is a "team" vs a killer, work together, die together.
Yes I escaped trough the hatch often enough as solo, yet I'd rather escape trough the exits.
But..... As the devs will never remove the cowards/pity escape mechanic, I'd rather see them change it like this.
When ever the hatch spawn and you have a key, then you can escape trough it.
But not by a single press of a button but you have to work for it.
As soon as you press the escape button you get an X amount of random "difficult" skill checks.
Failing a skill check or aborting the sequence will result to break your key.
You can hold on to your broken key and escape trough the regular exit, or you can try your luck by searching a chest for a new key.
Succeeding in the skill checks and escaping will let you keep the key.
Every key has a max use of 2 times, escaping trough the hatch will let you escape 1 more time trough the hatch.
After that the key will disappear entirely from the inventory.
Keys will not spawn in the bloodweb but only in chests during a match.
Not always but there is a slight chance you might find one.
This way the keys are about the same as the as the Morris are now.
I agree the moris had to change but they should have implemented it at the same time as the key rework

I agree with you, even tho it’s hard to get used to certain lags. Did you use ps4 base model?
Yeah I have played dbd on both the normal and the pro version.
The only thing I have issues with is some latency.
It happens to people from a certain region.
As killer I have a hard time landing a hit on them even when I'm hugging them.
And as survivor I get hit when I'm nowhere near the killer or like with huntress, getting hit trough a solid wall by her hatches.
Everytime I have these problems and I look at their profiles, they are from that certain region.
According to the language they speak I e that of btw.
But for some reason it seem to happen almost every time with them

This is my observation/ experience with killers on PS4 base model.
Trapper- he is quite okay, maybe the trap pick up animation can lag sometimes.
Wraith - sometimes there is a lag when you come out from cloak. This can make the first hit hard sometimes
Billy -I don’t really use him, but curving isn’t easy with controller
Nurse -after blink her turning is pretty bad, I don’t know if it’s a fps issue or controller limitation
Hag -currently unplayable since only 20% of the traps can be placed, most of the times the trap disappears if its close to an object or window. Also quite hard to hit after teleportation
Doctor -sometimes I experience lag when I chase survivor and she goes through a pallet projection
Huntress -I barely use her, maybe because it’s quite hard aiming also, I am confused about the hitboxes
Myers -stalking sucks, sometimes it drops back the meter. This can cause some surprises
Bubba -I find it difficult to go around object when I use his chainsaw, this maybe requires practice or it just hard to do precise movement with controller
Freddy -sometimes I experience lag when I place a trap, fake pallet or teleporting
Piggy -sometimes lagging when I play a trap or I try to do a dash attach
Clown -I can’t recall anything. Maybe precise hits aren’t as easy
Spirit -quite okay, her hit box is pretty weird after phasing, most of the time I hit an environment object
Legion -quite hard to use his fenzy, issue to 360 also the fps issues and he can be disorinted easily
Plague -her poking is lagging, also the hit box of the puke is weird to me
Ghostface -quite okay, very minor lag when i try to crouch or lean over an object
Demo -his shred hit box is weird sometimes it aims besides the survivor, sometimes I hit survivors when i shouldn’t. Hard to find the logic, also I think his hit animation can cause some lag
Oni -i feel like his turn rate is smaller than on PC, whenever I am playing him i feel he has huge blind zones, while I am watching streamers they can easily hit those blindzones
Deathslinger -aiming is lagging, actually its terrible, also hitboxes are not consistent
Pyramidhead -His judgement strike is quite slugging hard to track survivors I don’t it’s just me or controller limitation
Blight -FPS issue, also I can’t do the same flick what PC players can, and also he can get disoriented after dash quite easily.
Twins -I don’t know how other people are able to do the pounce but tracking wiggling survivors quite hard, I miss 50% of my pounce attacks, so I get destroyed.
This is my experience so far Your experience might be different. PS4 players how do you see it?
It's a matter of getting used to a certain killer.
I played on ps4, now on ps5 but with the ps4 game, and never had this much issues.

Either Mother's Dwelling or Temple of Purgation.
Spawning on a Red Forest map without Corrupt Intervention can result in the furthest gen popping before you even get there, depending on the survivors. It's very frustrating.
It is indeed survivor depanding.
I usually seem to do very well no matter the killer.
I even managed to get a 3k with infinite tombstone myers without corrupt.
But yeah unless they fear the killer it is gg and the match can be over very quick

You can feel who is gonna last sec Switch because they don't tip ready if that's the case, equip Franklins before the Timer ends.
You know as well as me and everyone else that that is not true at all.
Most of the time when someone doesn't tip ready is because they are afk, switch perks, looking for an offering, you know that very well.
So here I'm waiting for a survivor to go ready and equip franklins because they potentially are gonna switch to a key.
Turns out that person was just afk at that moment and I switched out another perk for franklins for nothing.
It's just not logic to switch out perks for a potential key because they didn't tip ready yet.
-
@ILoveDemo said:
I say this to everyone now, If you have a problem with Keys, then use Franklins. >:O
Don't get me wrong here mate.
But this is a bs advice.
Why?
Well that is simple, how many survivors actually equip their key before the match start?
Only a handful of survivors, the rest wait till the last sec and equip or switch to a survivor with a key.
They know how bs keys are and they know killers will use something to counter it, so they just wait till the last sec so you as killer have no counter against it.
See the problem there? 🤘👍

For one Im very happy about the Mori nerf as I thought it was greatly needed because of how unfun it was, BUT why didnt they nerf keys as well? They vaguely told us they will at the same time as moris but decided to not do it. Why? Keys are just as if not more BS then Moris yet they get to stay? Now Survs are more OP as ever with basically nothing a killer can do to stop a 4 man key group unless they are lucky enough to be playing their main AND have Franklin's. This really goes to show the Devs incompetence when it comes to balance and their bias towards survs.
Honestly, are you surprised at all?
Can you remember a killer rework (I believe it was freddy) and the Q&A that followed about it?
One of them literally said "what killer do I not like to play against?" which turned out to be doctor.
And last Q&A 1 or 2 of them (might be all 3), said that they find it hard to pip as survivor.
If that doesn't say a lot about them than i don't know what does.
During other streams they made also little little remarks showing their favour towards survivors.
To my knowledge devs should look at the game from a neutral point of view and from 1 side.
So tbh nothing would surprise me any more from bhvr.
I wouldn't even be surprised if the key rework is coming somewhere late next year tbh.

@Braders said:
I have a simple idea.
Make the killer also see the survivor's aura when he looks at him at the determined distance.
So it's now a real "benefit both sides" perk, since as for now, the Survivor totally controls when he is getting value of it, and keeping in mind that the survivor knowing where the killer is, is not as valueble as the killer knowing where one survivor is, and that's why giving the survivor full control is borderline unfair.
Personally I would revert back to the old way that OoO worked.
Where both the killer and the survivor have to look into eachother direction to get their aura revealed.
That way there is a counter for the killer, but he still has to work for it.
He can turn around and walk backwards to that survivor, but risking to walk into objects and also not seeing the survivor flee or hide.
At least that way there is a benefit on both sides instead of 1 side in full control

FYI, when you go for personal attacks, you lack critical thinking.
But lets go that route and stroke your epeen and assume you are the best and I am the worst. My point still stands.
Because of some sheer miracle you get to escape 90% of the time, doesn't discount the stats which would indicate the majority. Your perspective would be considered anecdotal and subjective.
Furthermore I don't know why you would want to highlight you don't play both sides equally for 2 reasons.
1) Who cares what your opinion is if you don't, because you don't have perspective. You're highlighting your own bias.
2) Why even bother mentioning it to begin with, it means nothing and contributes nothing to the conversation. Except for me to point out your bias.
Thanks for playing.
Well tbh I thought you were the person who said solo survivors never escape.
That's why i mentioned that I escaped that much and said you might not be as good as solo.
You started about how I said played bot side equally but followed up with a killer biased post.
Which indicates you suggest I don't play both sides.
I highlighted the fact I don't keep track of which side I play more is because you were talking about "equally".
I don't have a timer which says you played so many hours killers and this as survivor.
And i don't keep track because 1 day I play only survivor and the next day only killer, other times I keep switching after each match.
The fact that according to i follow up with a killer post and saying I don't have perspective is pretty funny.
Cause if I'm not mistaken that would be my perspective, so if that makes me "biased" towards 1 side than that is your opinion.
But it is still my perspective of the game as simple as that.
So if you say I'm biased towards killer so be it, I think very little people will care.
