I was surprised and excited that we even managed to do more than 3 gens on Midwich, let alone open the exit gates, and then this scummy perk comes into play. The idea of it can be fine, but the duration is just bullshit.

######### killer? No worries, just slug someone and here's a get out of jail free card.

Whoever designed this perk must get bullied a lot.

Well why didn't you go out when you had the chance?

Did you even wait in the gates till it went away? 😬

That'd be very nice of them, but i'd have to turn them down and say i'm not looking for such an answer.

Just wanna know people's best singular Perk on Wraith.

If they insist, they can always private-message me.

Personally I would say nurses is the best singular perk on wraith.

You can catch them off guard while they heal, unless they use the right perks, they have a hard time to know when you're close.

ο»ΏThis is my first match without bloodlust vs a swf group.

I made some silly mistakes, but than again I've been away for about 2.5 months from dbd.

But you can check out other vids and you'll see i barely hit bloodlust in general.

Been playing dbd since day 1 on ps4 and i always play at rank 1 on both sides.

I know it is difficult to tell sometimes, but you need to find a way to know when to drop a chase.

You can see claudette near a pallet where i down Feng, and I don't bother with that untill near the end of the match.

I know that that is a loop where I'm forced to break the pallet otherwise it would be an infinite loop, no matter with what killer (except nurse).

Even bloodlust 3 won't give you a hit there.

So I only bother with that when I have some peace or when I don't have a choice.

  • @Boss said:

    Okay, you there!

Tell me your best Perk for Wraith!

And, preferably, not a Perk that's like: "Wow, this is really good IF you also equip this Perk."

Mkay? Cause i'm kinda already stacked, just need 1 more slot to fill.

    That's not difficult.

I run nurses, sloppy, bbq and pop.

I use the add ons all seeing blood with swift hunt, silent bell with the 8 ball, 8 ball and all seeing blood, bone clapper and swift hunt or bone clapper and the 8 ball

I mainly have trouble getting through doorways on him, it's really hard to land directly on the side of a doorway to get in through it.

As far as moving around the map, you really want to hit the corner of objects instead of hitting them directly. The bounce will push you clear of whatever you hit the corner of and let you continue the rush chain.

Also blight with a controller sounds terrible. I feel like one of his best moves is just running straight past a survivor, slamming into an object next to them, and then doing a 180 into a lethal rush. I think that would be very hard to achieve on a controller.

Not at all difficult with a controller, done that myself several times tbh.

    @Awakey said:

    Sensitivity 100.

Blight on console is not optimal.

I don't have sensitivity at 100 tho, think i have it at 80 for all killers.

I actually rarely have any trouble with Blight on ps4 tbh, I think it's just a killer that suits me good I guess

  • @Mr_Madness said:

Its either me or his hit box is a bit.....off.

I try to bounce off a wall to either side but for some reason it counts as a slam so I keep slamming on the same object.

When I try to slam against a rock I just glide across it.

I am just wondering if its just me or everyone has the same problem since been practicing Blight with controller for a week with friends in custom [Cause I get red ranks and I am rank 16 and don't feel like being tilted]

So far doing pretty well with some what mind gaming and doubling back but only thing I have a problem is slamming into another direction that is not straight across but more of a diagonal.

Give yourself a little time to adjust your angle after a slam.

You have a few seconds to do so, just try to figure out the timing.

I play in red ranks with all killers including Blight on ps4.

It does happen sometimes in the heat of the moment that I want to run to quick after a slam and hit something close by.

Just try to relax a bit even know it's hard sometimes.

But you get better routing when you do.

Also a tip which you may allready know.

When in chase, don't use your powers yet unless they are a far distance for some reason.

Instead hit them with your basic attack, the get a sprint burst and tend to be a bit more in a panic and make some stupid mistakes.

I'm a rank 13 killer. I stay around that rank most of the time now a days. Out of my last 20 matches I have been put up against people 3-4 ranks lower than me only twice. Every other game is either purples or reds. I get stomped and de-pip multiple times and can not leave this zone.

When I'm put up against people around my level I have a great time. I win some, I lose some but it always feels like a fair fight. When I play against the purple ranks it constantly feels unfair. They have the advantage on me in both time played and perks available to them which makes sense due to their ranks.

Is this normal? Am I just supposed to deal with it? Git good? I feel like I don't really get the chance to git good because I barely get to play in these rounds. What do I do about this?

I was wondering the same thing actually.

I've been away from dbd for 2.5 months and so I've been put i green ranks by now (back to purple atm)

But a barely go against a red rank killer and mostly go against yellow or brown rank killers.

But when i play killer it is all over the place.

1 moment I go against full red ranks and the next match I go against brown ranks.

Now I don't mind that much but I don't think it is fun for the other side.

As killer against brown ranks, I win almost with my eyes closed.

And as survivor I know the loops to well to keep them busy.

Which for the killer isn't fun either.

I play on ps4, so no idea if it's only there or other platforms as well?

  • If he revs his chainsaw and there is no pallet in sight, look for trees and run around it thightly.

It also helps when you do that to suddenly run to a different tree.

As soon as you hear him hitting the tree, you just run away, far away πŸ˜‰

If he's already using his chainsaw behind you and you can't find a tree and the pallet is just to far away, jump in a locker if they are close.

Just make sure if he made his last swing you jump out immediately, otherwise he just grabs you out.

Than run towards the pallet, and continue the chase.

If there is not a locker close, run very thightly against the wall and around the corners.

Than just hope he hits the wall and you can escape.

And like nos said, using vaults.

Worst thing that can happen is that he hits you with his hammer, which gives you a free sprint burst.

Whatever you do, don't try to juke him in the open.

If you're lucky enough, you get away with it once.

    That's about it

If I'm telling you I have connection issues there is a reason. I live in a small city where I'm surprised internet reach, and recently everybody's is having connection issues.

And with double points I wanted to play this game with my boyfriend and have fun.

If the penalty sistem was done right, I wouldn't be here complaining

I'm not trying to be an a-hole here.

But when you know you have a terrible Internet connection but decide to play anyway eventhough you know there are dc penalties in play, than imo you can't complain when you get punished.

It's a decision you knew fully well there would be consequences for it.

The system can't and will never be able to tell if it was a connection issue or a real rage dc.

If it would be able to detect a connection issue than people would abuse the F out of it by pulling out the cable or just unchecked the connect with Internet box.

I can understand your frustration about the ban, but this is an issue on your end.

As you tried to play a pvp game knowing full well there would be a very big chance that you would got a dc.

Blight is pretty awful on console. I only played him for that t-pose and the two tombe challanges but now, no more.

Honestly I have to disagree tho.

I have a good time with him and and regularly get a 3 or 4k with him.

And I play him rank 1

Only swf on comms is very hard, but that is with every killer.

He just takes a little practice and a different strategy to play him

  • @Barlor said:

Yo, there is tons of threads in there about tunneling and camping, and how it's legitimate strategy and nothing wrong with that. Lately more posts stating, that it becomes more frequent so I just wanted to share a thought.

I'm, or I see someone else being tunneled ridiculously often. Few days back then I stumbled upon guy with steam profile description along the lines of "I'm camping, tunneling and I don't care what you whiners call me, I'm playing for my fun and I'm not gonna stick to your rules"

So, considering how majority of players thinks it's legit and ok, I feel like I actually should join them in that. I started playing game mostly as killers, so assume I'm killer main (more like 75/25 killer/surv), and apart maybe from the time I was learning the game I wasn't tunnelling consciously, unless guy ran straight onto me.

Recently I started playing surv more often, because I'm playing with friend. Due to constant camping and tunneling I just feel like there is no fun in playing surv, so I'm quitting this side, but I'm thinking about going back to killing. And not the nice guy killer. I've turned bitter, and as I said I feel like joining in what most of killers are doing rn, tunneling and camping. If they said themselves it's not reportable or anything, I'm gonna camp/tunnel people all the time, hoping they'll stop playing. Maybe if number of survs/players plummet, they'll address this type of playing somehow.

Honestly I doubt it, simply looking at forum, seeing threads about keys, moris, perks, addons being unbalanced and so for so long (at least now they admitted they are "looking into" keys and moris, and actually changed few perks for what it's worth)but imma give it a shot anyways.

Summarizing I'm just gonna repeat what most of you already know, that devs' priorities are BS, releasing new dlcs and skins, without focusing primarily on fixing old content, changing graphics instead of game mechanics and working on balance.

Cheers and have a great day.

I agree it is an annoying strategy, but yeah it's a legitimate strategy.

That goes for an example the survivors side when they decide to gen rush (yes it does happen but not as often), it's a legitimate strategy on their side.

Is camping, tunneling, gen rushing fun?

Nope not at all, except maybe for the person(s) who does it.

As killer I don't apply that tactic as I would get bored to death doing that same thing game after game.

But i will never try to join them in their playstyle, not even to make a point.

I still have my own honour and will stand by it, even if every other killer will tunnel and camp.

When i play survivor however, I don't mind getting tunnelled as long as my team just keep doing gens.

About 95% of the time I get tunneled, the killer loses the game and I love getting chased.

But the only way the devs can change this is to reward the killer for fresh hooks and new chases.

If not than i don't think it will ever change.

And they should take away the punishment the killer gets when a survivor heals back to full.

Like why is the killer even being punished for that?

That kind of a punishment also contributes to tunneling, cause that way they can't heal and the killer don't get punished.

  • @TwistedJoke65 said:

Gotta love being in a situation where the survivor your chasing majorly ######### up and you have them, but then they press a button and teleport over to the pallet. In a chase and the survivor made a mistake, oh just vault the window and your ######### out of there. Get unhooked right in front of the killer, hop in a locker your invincible. You're all injured and the killer makes it to the last gen? Guess what ######### you Freddy they all had adrenaline and are ######### gone.

This game gives sooo many chances to people who don't know what theyre doing. I'm the ######### killer if your in range your ######### dying. Where's the killers second chance? If I make one mistake, chase the wrong person or miss a shot, I'm #########. Gens are gonna fly, the person I just hit is self caring in the corner. Back to square one. Even if there is second chance perks for killer, can't run them because they'll take the place of all the ######### gen defense perks you need. And no I'm not counting undying as a second chance perks for killers. Not much of a second chance when it's your only chance. It's ######### stupid.

    (Edit: edited some typos)

It truly is hilarious the amount of 2nd chance perks survivors can choose of, not even taking in account the items.

Whenever I get some games where I get annoyed, I just switch to survivor to relax a bit.

On both sides there are some issues, like someone said, there is a lot of tunneling and camping even in red ranks.

But i can understand that a lot of killers started doing that a lot.

Killers get punished pretty heavily on many sections, like when gens go to fast, if someone still had ds eventhyou just chased and hooked others, even when survivors get healed a killer gets punished for.

So yeah i can understand when killers tunnel and/or camp, I don't condone it because it is not fun and not my playstyle, but a playstyle none the less.

Unfortunately the devs have put their heads in the sand and ink nothing is with the game.

They don't even question themselves why it is that +/- 80% of the playerbase is playing survivor.

That should be an indication that there is something wrong with the balance.

  • @AhoyWolf said:

When did they say that? If it's true, they probably meant on all ranks and console, since Feng Min is for free on there I think.

Not sure if it has been answered yet, but they said that during a Q&A I believe when they nerfed ruin.

There was a question about nerfing survivor perks and they said that no survivor perk was as much used as ruin was.

Only lithe came close, according to the devs.

Good thing DS is less used and less popular than Lithe, said a Dev.

2 hours and still trying this achievement.

The devs are just ignorance about what is really happening.

They switch to much from across all ranks to ranks specifically back to all ranks combined.

At which point they lost track of what numbers they are tracking.

The old ruin was because I believe 80%of the killers in red ranks were using that perk.

Than they come with a survivor perk across all ranks.

Like how can you compare a perk you have numbers from only 1 colour rank to a perk with numbers from all colours? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

At least look in the same rank colour and what perks are used a lot there, cause if they did they would see lithe is barely used in red ranks.

Back then and still to this day I only see it on rare occasions.

About the achievement try doing it on the game map.

And use tinkerer, it is very fun when tinkerer pops and you are tier 3.

Also, and you probably do it allready, when following the obsession, turn away for a token, than start follow them again, there is no need for nemesis there.

The perks i used (and this was a long time ago) was old ruin, spirit fury, enduring and play with your food.

  • @Entity_Lich94 said:

Maybe I've just been lucky, but I play survivor just as much as killer but I rarely ever see a killer actually properly do either of these things. Like maybe once or twice a month I'll come across one.

I know there's quite a few people on here that claim they get it constantly and say it's the biggest problem with the game right now and I honestly wonder if it is really that bad for some people.

Tbf some people's definition of what camping and tunnelling is can be very broad so I do take these claims with a grain of salt

I too get it sometimes, at least 2 or 3 games a night tbh.

And by tunneling I mean really hard tunneling, like a couple of minutes.

For example a very nice one last week vs legion.

They found me and chased me for 3.5 minutes straight before he finally gave up.

Unfortunately I didn't get really good teammates otherwise it would have been over for them.

Getting camped only on rare occasions, but tbh i don't care that much as long as my team do the gens then.

Camping usually happens after very long chases and they realise most of the gens are done by than.

Also this - it seems to be survivors become very defensive of this perk, they know how broken it is and want to continue to abuse it and don’t want it changed.

Exactly, they have a security of an easy escape when they are off the hook and so they throw themselves at the killer or immediately start working on a gen with the killer close to them.

Seen it happen many times over where I unhook a survivor and instead of wanted to get healed, they run towards the killer just so they can use ds.

And if the killer won't pick them up, they have unbreakable for it.

I personally would love to see it happen where if they get fully healed, work on a gen, unhook another survivor, etc, ds would just deactivate.

It was made so they won't get tunnelled of the hook and if you can do objectives, you sure aren't tunnelled.

And sure I use the perk too, but only for anti tunnel.

And even if I get tunnelled, I rarely get to use it because by the time I downed the chase lasted way longer than my ds timer.

But it's funny how they don't mind when killer perks getting nerfed, but god forbid when a survivor perk gets nerfed. πŸ˜‚

Agree with this point - as I say I hate being judgemental and saying it but the way the devs do things some times it really does lean toward the survivor side and it is very obvious sometimes.

Same here, I really hate to say things like this.

It makes me sound killer biased even though I try to stay as neutral as possible.

But the way they use their wordings and what they said during a Q&A makes it very obvious.

And sure I can understand that they try to please the majority of the playerbase, but they forget if the keep on nerfing/changing killers and perks they push to many people away from one side.

Which creates a more unbalance between the playerbase of killers and survivors.

Jump in another locker at 50 seconds off the hook lol.

I'm glad this pgtw thing happened because now behavior HAS to address DS so enjoy your fair life cuz it gonna get nurf'dπŸ˜†

You do know how bhvr works right?

Don’t count on ds being nerfed anytime soon πŸ˜‰

Unfortunately the devs are very survivor biased instead of staying neutral, and they don't even hide it which I personally find it even worse.

Maybe in the far future they will change but I have a feeling that that will never happen

  • Ds is a strong perk which I estimate 85%-90% of the survivors use it.

The problem is that for the survivor there is 0 downside of the perk.

It was designed as an anti tunnel perk except in most cases (at least mine) is that it is more of an anti momentum perk than an anti tunnel perk.

I had games where survivors just made a mistake to many and when i downed survivor 1 again after downing and hooking 2 others, I got hit by ds.

How is that still a anti tunnel perk than?

Survivors who got unhooked in my face and run to a gen a go repair it.

    Cause yeah why not?

They have ds an most of the times are also unhooked with bt.

I agree and also thrown up that idea myself a couple of time, where if you're full health, work on a gen, unhook another survivor, etc, it should deactivate.

Cause if you were being tunnelled you don't have time for it.

Hell I would even care if the timer won't go down when you got off the hook and being in a chase almost instantly.

The problem I find with the devs and a lot of people in the dbd community is that for example when ruin got changed, killers should stop complaining about it, but when killers talk about to change ds, all jell breaks loose.

    Why was ruin changed?

Because ALMOST every killer in red ranks was using it.

Instead of looking behind the reason for the excessive use it they just throw it on a bs reason that it is an unfair perk for beginners and the don't really help the veteran players when ruin was still up.

Which btw happens only when you play in swf otherwise you won't get match that easily against a red rank killer.

Now ds is when compared with d ruin also over used and is very op in combination with 1 or more perks.

So why should ds not being reworked then?

Simply because about 80% of the player base plays mostly survivor.

And they don't want to puss of the majority of the player base.

  • @MasonOliver123 said:

The DS vs PGTW situation hasn't been around too long, however since the announcement of the mid patch there's been a lot of talk and discussions and I want to summarise my reasons for the clear and blatant bias toward survivors.

    1. Ds is far more broken and unfair than pop - yet pop receives a nerf and we hear nothing regarding ds - a popular comment from "Almo" recently stating that they nerfed pop due to "having it up too long able to do other things" which is the exact reasoning which can be applied to DS.
    2. The main issue people have, including me, isn't more that PGTW has been nerfed, it's the reasoning behind it yet not applying it to other things like DS - on top of the fact the devs have said NOTHING about the DS situation and remain silent I find very insulting.
    3. DS's power compared to PGTW is disgusting - You can on average pull of 5-7 PGTW's before the game is over - let's be honest you're not going to hit 11-12 pops every single game, maybe 1 in a good good few as the game will be over. The timing lost on pop is quite huge to walk over to a gen, kick it etc - even sometimes not getting use out of it. --- The devs seem to forget every survivor in the match can use DS - if a survivor is competent that's 4 MINUTES of immunity - most survivors jump in a locker or work on a gen in front of your face (The argument for take the stun is ridiculous as the time a survivor will gain from a DS is disgusting - 20 seconds distance if the hold W - more if they find a loop)
    4. Pyramid hid vs DS and unbreakable- The reason behind Pyramid head's changes was because the devs believed that the executioner had to much power in the department of placing his sword down - putting the survivor in a LOSE/LOSE situation and thought this was unfair- yet can't we apply this exact reason to DS/Unbreakable? - if you down the survivor working on a gen right in front of you you either pick him up and get stunned or leave him so he can just get himself back up and work on gens - leaving the killer in a LOSE/LOSE situation - yet the devs remain silent, hmm.
    5. Survivors complain about Hex Undying/ Ruin - the funny thing is now because survivors have complained about PGTW and obviously the devs listen to that rather than ds/UB they've nerfed the only competition Rui/Undying had - now I can assure you despite the change being small a lot of killers will be using hex rui/undying a lot more due to this change.

At the end of the day the bias - despite me not wanting to say it - is just obviously there, the devs don't hide the bias as seen in the perk changes - the survivor perk changes are a lot better than the killer ones, the only decent change being Trails of Torment, the rest are useless let's be honest it's not game changing/ won't change the meta. The devs cannot make changes to killers and their perks with little reason and little complaints yet when ds has been complained about for years - refuse to change it even when the reasoning for PGTW's change is the EXACT SAME if not more reason to change DS.

Devs - please stop remaining silent regarding this UB/DS combo - it is abused beyond belief- even if you change it so the moment a survivor interacts with a gen/heal/locker etc - so they're not being "tunnelled" it deactivates - the devs have stated on stream before and times in the past it's an anti-tunnelling perk, anti momentum should NOT exist - punishing the killer for doing well is not fair.

The change I have stated would be needed to stop situations where you've chased, downed, hooked someone else - kicked a gen - found a survivor - you down him - pick him up - he still has DS. If he still has DS and the killer is baffled since he hasn't tunnelled etc - it's beyond abused and this one perk is the MOST controversial in DBD without a doubt.

The devs sure don't care that much about killers unfortunately and put their heads in the sand about the survivor perks.

They know it is strong but they're not that great at the game.

The made it very very obvious and even didn't bother to hide it when they talked about the doctor changes.

I think spirit was nerfed and they were talking about that on the stream.

At 1 point they literally said "which killer will we change next? What killer do I hate to play against?"

Even though they know there are bigger issues that a killer they hate to go against, they never talked about it.

Imo it is pretty sad to ignore the bigger problems and only focus on the things they just don't like.

Sure it's their game so they can do with it what they like, but doing stuff like that will make people lose their trust and even push people away from them.

  • Than you're one of the lucky once.

Have faced them to often unfortunately and for some reason I face them mostly with freddy πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜’

Nerf an add-on that lets you see the survivor for 6 seconds if their within a 16 meter range of you but don't question a perk that allows you to see the killer (pretty much) across the map at all times. Fun, fair and interactive.

Like I always said, when the devs are not that great as survivor, they will look more into that than when they occasionally play killer.

The compound 21 is strong, now it's good, but easy to counter.

Just stay behind something, and as soon as he stops he gets a little dely/stun, just run away as he needs tokens to rush.

Wish the devs were watching more objectively and not as they do now

  • @Babyyy_Boyy said:

Aside from playing Hag and Trapper, Why is this perk so annoying to killers? A lot of killers say that it’s broken in a SWF because the user can make call outs but in a SWF even without the perk the whole team will make call outs, that’s the point of comms. I personally don’t mind it when playing Killer because I like to see how the survivor performs in chase with it and I’ll feel good knowing that I outplayed them at some point of the chase. I actually use Object Of Obsession in solo que more than anything because if the killer decides to go for you, you can improve on your chases. I also use it because 80% of the time my teammates don’t do well in chases so it can buy time if the killer goes for you.

That's because there is absolutely 0 counter to it for unlimited info.

It used to be where the killer and the survivor using it looked in each other direction, so you could counter it a little.

When used in a swf the can consistently tell the team where you are going and what you are doing.

So if 1 with the OoO is on the other side he can tell the team if he's going towards someone, so they are allready gone before you even get there.

Mostly it is run by a swf who likes to bully instead of a fun match for both sides.

Against freedy it's the most annoying cause if they're asleep, they have the aura reading even when they are next to you on the other side of a wall.

When you play freddy you can only do 2 things against it.

Either brute force your way and hope you get lucky, cause the can anticipate anything you do and there is 0 mindgaming then.

Or ignore them and hope you find the others before they sneak away by the calls of the OoO.

As I said it is usually run by a toxic swf group and very rarely by a solo.

  • Even though he might not saying it nicely, I have to agree with him.

You have gen rush and gen rush.

You have teams who have builds to just rush the gens as fast as possible, like all gens done, exit gates open within a 5 minute time.

All this when 1 survivor is getting chased and usually a 4 man swf on comms.

And you have teams where the killer applies a little pressure to gens.

Usually it is because the killer plays with noed and just focus on 1 person.

And you have where it's just a too big of a map to being able to pressure gens.

Think about mother's dwelling and temple of purgation, with a 12.000 square meters of of the biggest maps in the game.

So yeah gen rush is an issue and personally I find 80s for 1 survivor a reasonable time, but how many times are you doing a gen solo?

    In my experience very rarely.

I wouldn't mind if they change that to for example if 2 survivors working on the same gen it's only a 10s faster, and it drops with 10s for each survivor working on that gen.

    And the other issues.

Yes there is definitely a drop in fps, I too have times where the game stuttered or freezes for a sec.

Getting hit because they took away the hit validation beta which worked for me.

I haven't noticed anything with huntress, but I'm not saying that it wasn't an issue.

So yes the game has some serious issues on all platforms, and some issues are very easy to notice πŸ˜‰βœŒοΈ

Some people definitely do. You even see iri head+infantry belt huntress players camp hooks. Doesnt matter how strong a build you give them, they’ll always take the route that requires the least effort.

I know there are people who do that.

I've faced them myself as well, I just replied on this, "Just shows no matter how strong a killer is people will always play in the laziest way."

You make it sound that all killers do that and i only tried to show you that not all people will play that way, that's all πŸ˜‰βœŒοΈ

  • @ClickyClicky said:

Only issue I have with Spirit is that for 99% of them it’s tunnel and NOED.

The most tryhard builds. Stridor Spirit with Ruin etc but it always comes down to tunnel and NOED.

As soon as you unhook *wooshing sound*

Just shows no matter how strong a killer is people will always play in the laziest way.

Just make BT activate within 32m already. Make her have to run a bit further, stop stealth killers from having easy camping.

Nah not necessarily, not everyone plays in the laziest way.

Whenever I play killer, I always go for a lot of chases and hooks.

Hook someone and straight go for the next one, i don't tunnel, i don't camp and never use noed.

So it's not "people always play in the laziest way"

The only time I go for the unhooked person is when you unhook that person right in my face and I know you don't have bt, and that is only to punish you for doing that.

I leave that person on the ground and go for the person who did the unhook.

ive responded to every counter in one post, so that you cant say people dont respond to the counters

I never said people don't respond to the counters, I said (and you can read it back) nobody cares about it.

Almost every single counter that has been given, it's always the same kind response, that it is not a counter.

Only because you (not only you) refuse to adjust your playstyle to her.

After thus I am really done with this discussion because it is as I said, an endless circle.

Example, according to you pre dropping pallets is not a counter only because it creates dead zones for your team.

You only drop a pallet when she's close or when she's phasing during a chase with you.

So if your team does what they need to do during the chase, pre dropping pallets won't hurt them that much.

Beside, you assume playing against a god spirit.

If they are a god spirit then they barely break a pallet, unless absolutely necessary.

So if using pallets to keep her busy isn't a counter, than i think you have a strange playstyle which you really need to adjust against spirit.

Hiding is something you do against other killers too, especially to break the chase.

So I don't see a reason why it is all of a sudden not a counter against her, only because it is boring.

But anyways, take it or leave it.

There has been plenty of ways said that works.

If you don't want to play a certain way against her, that is your choice and your own fault if she gets you.

Certain killers require certain playstyle, even if it is not your playstyle.

This game is all about adapting to someone's playstyle, which goes for both sides.

Anyway, good luck with the game, and maybe see you in the fog 🀘

  • 5050s?

Sorry never heard of that, but seeing this reaction shows me that you clearly didn't bother to actually look a little at what has been told beside stealth.

I've given plenty of things you can do as did others.

But seeing that this is becoming an endless circle, this will be my last reply here.

Because there is being asked how to play against her, yet nobody cares at the replies of the ways that works for them. πŸ˜‰βœŒοΈ

Btw all "God" killers will get the better of you.

It doesn't matter at that point what killer it is, if that person only plays that particular killer and plays him/her at a god level, than yeah you can try whatever you want but you still die

so what is spirits counter then give me an example of a way you could outplay me as spirit that doesnt involve a guess,

and this is still irrelevant because god spirits use their power in short bursts so even if you do throw them off once they get their power in 5s and do it again

Sorry mate, I'm not going over this again.

I gave plenty examples as did others in this treath, so if you want them then I suggest you look back a few pages πŸ˜‰βœŒοΈ

They gave her one nerf that didnt do much. Nobody wants to "bully" killers stop using that for an argument survivors want killers we can counter in chase throughout skill not guessing. Let me remind you the chase is the most fun thing take that away and now you lose survivors holding m1 is in no way fun.

Unfortunately that is what 99% of all the arguments are about.

If a killer is strong and you actually have to work for it in a chase, people start crying the killer is broken.

Guessing is a part of mindgaming, something you do all the time with every other killer.

So saying a killer doesn't have a counter is just plain bs.

There are so many ways explained how to counter her, but the only response on these counters are : that is no counter, you're only guessing.

Nah you only ay against bad spirits.

And more of these dumb simple responses without backing it up with anything.

And yes I also love chases on both sides, but trust me survivors won't leave as long as there are easy killers.

About the nerfs, I just gave examples on what all the previous crying about her was and why people wanted her nerfed.

It would be all good if the devs made those changes but the crying about her being to op, to strong or give it a name, continues as heavily as before.

So I see that as crying and nothing more, only because the survivors have to work for it for once.

    @Kumnut768 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/discussion/comment/1626105#Comment_1626105

stop diminishing this argument to the good old "you cant bully the killer" survivors are ok with having strong killers but survivor want to use skill and experience to feel that they are either outplaying the killer or the killer played well and was able to down them, thats something you cant have with killers like spirit and slinger because its just blind guesses

See what I explained above here.

You got outplayed by a spirit?

That's on you making a mistake to many.

    You outplayed the spirit?

That's on her making a mistake to many.

I'm not diminishing anything here, I just state the obvious.

It was about the nurse being to strong, then it was about spirit to strong.

Now it is also crying about ph and ds being to strong.

People just want to be in full control of those so called sreong killers.

These days a lot of people are way to lazy to actually try and learn to see what works and what doesn't, instead they love to cry about things being to op and want it to get nerfed asap.

And before anyone love to call me a killer main, sorry but that won't work as I play both sides about equally.

Yes I win from ph, ds, spirits and nurse as well as that I lose from them.

And when I do lose from them without being camped or tunnelled, than they were just better at reading me than I was at reading them.

That's the way it is and just move on to the next match and try to improve.

  • Bait?

Nowhere near mate, just stating the obvious.

Every time there is a strong killer/add on or perk, people start crying that it needs to be nerfed.

It's always been like that and will always be like that unfortunately.

And yes spirit has been changed/nerfed a couple of time now.

Don't believe than feel free to search around πŸ˜‰βœŒοΈ

  • It is so funny how survivors want to destroy certain killers and/or add ons.

How many times is spirit been changed now?

    3 times I believe?

Before the last chance people were crying, if you take away her collision while phasing, give her an actual vault animation and nerf her prayer beads that everything is good and fun to play against.

And so the devs listened once again and nerfed/changed her.

But wait that is not enough, they still can't bully her and they still fall for the same old spirit tricks.

😭😭😭😭😭 Nerf her more we don't want strong killers, we want to bully all the killers and have them play by our rules 😭😭😭😭😭

Ffs grow up and try to think outside of the box a little (just a tiny little bit is all it needs), instead of trying to destroy killers/add ons/perks.

The devs are dumb and scared that they listen to much to those kinds of people unfortunately.

    1. The best spirits do happen to play against solos and win just how mm works it happens and sucks. It's terrible currently.

    2. No every killer is viable and not just good due to potato survivors that's really huge claim to prove a point but go crazy.

    3. She can be beaten by genrush which is boring. Survivors wouldnt be forced to gen rush her if she had chase counterplay. Also if she did the spirit would have a higher skill ceiling and people would actually have to improve their game more to play her. She would still have insane chase power but now it's harder to sue and shes no longer jsut a nurse for players who dont want to put in effort.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1623793#Comment_1623793

The devs also said DS used outside of tunneling is smart. By that logic you shouldnt complain about DS that stuns you when you arent tunneling but you so right?

It's not about mindless looping it's a killer that takes very little skill for a big payout that you cant really do anything against.

Actually, you said OoO was 5 stars, be it an presumption or your own personal opinion, you never said, but the rating was actually 4 stars. So your presumption/opinion wasn't correct.

At any rate you're kind of being hypocritical here, you don't want me or others to care about his ratings of the perk because you only care about your self absorbed opinon? To me you're just a random dude on the internet, not Otzdarva is a well known and respected Killer.

it's not about following his opinions blindly, it's about respect, I respect him and his judgment, I don't know you so I don't respect yours. I'm sure the same goes for me. It's an irrelevant subject either way. Naturally everyone has their own opinion on something, that's why we make decisions based on a general consensus when it comes to a community. not Otzdarva reached 100k+ people, how many people do you think will see your or my opinion? Definitely not even half that.

I said it because about 99% here are talking like sheeps and just saying what is popular at the time.

Also I can't see how an opinion can be wrong unless you've been given facts that counters your opinion.

So me saying it is an 5 star perk for me is right in my opinion and wrong for someone else.

Respecting the opinion of someone is a good thing not many have, that's why i also said everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I respect all opinions even if I personally think different.

I just present my opinion about it, nothing more.

That's avoiding the chase I'm talking about the chase. If you step in a chase and injured she is not guessing. With stridor they can now hear your breathing much louder and locate you with that.

The spirit is never guessing if they just use their ears they have ALL the information. It's only somewhat s guess at windows but even then stridor/injured with no iron will is death.

I dont want an x perk response that's unhealthy by design.

But I appreciate you trying to help me out I can still give spirits a run most of the time. Some time the boredom just makes me not want to play.

Sorry but there I have to agree to disagree tho.

I never use iron will and don't feel like using it.

And yet I still can loop and keep spirit busy for a long time and even escape 90% of the time.

So injured and no iron will doesn't doesn't mean you're death

You can watch his review of the perk here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHMlvOrIWYk&t=1468s

He is a very good Killer main and isn't entitled like most of the community which makes him a breath of fresh air.

Honestly his review of perks are solid and accurate.

I rather have my own personal rating than follow that of someone who is known in the community.

It's fun and all following someone's judgement blindly, but i rather judge them for myself.

He might for example plays really well against a certain reading perk, while someone else plays poorly against it and visa versa

I also didn't say he rated it a 5 star, I just told you you forgot to include it.

As for me that is a 5 star perk because it doesn't have any counters or cool down.

But than again everyone is entitled to their own opinion ofcourse, as I do disagree with some of his ratings

Any survivor that complains about BBQ is a moron. I say this as someone who has played a lot of survivor. If the killer is chasing you down from 40+m away then hes not camping/tunneling. You can’t have it both ways. Id rather the killer come find me than sit around the hook. Its more fair on everyone. I feel its the Blendette types that hate it the most. Besides, it's all personal preference and tbh deerstalker I can't personally don't even count because the survivor has to be downed so I'd rate it more as a 1 star.

Btw you forgot the 5 star survivor aura reading perk OoO.

I think everyone (probably except for mains in a swf group) will rate that as the most annoying perk in dbd as it has absolutely 0 counter to it.

Personally I think killers should have the better aura reading perks as they have to find 4 survivors and als hook them all 3 times (so 12 hooks total)

Also survivors have more ways to counter aura reading perks tho πŸ˜‰βœŒοΈ

Also I never rated the perks as they were like I said, examples and nothing more.

A very single bit of aura reading for survivors is allready very strong even if the perk is bad

Dark sense, every time a gen is complete you see the killer's Aura for an x amount of time.

Alert, see the killers aura x amount of time every time he breaks something.

Object of obsession, unless your close you can permanently track the killers movements.

And against freddy as long as you stay in the dream world you can permanently track him no matter how close he is.

Buckle up, when you heal a downed survivor both of you see the killer's Aura

Kindred, you see the aura's of all survivors and the killer, and if you're the one on the hook everyone sees it.

Babysitter, if you unhook a survivor you and the killer see each others aura

Breakdown, if you are unhooked you see the killers aura

I think that's about all the survivors aura reading perks, some strong, some good and some weak.

I'm playing much more Survivor than Killer, and I think Spirit isn't fun to play against.

The problem with Spirit for me is that as a survivor you don't have any feedback, you don't know what she's doing when she stands still. For her this is just a big mind game, but to me (the survivor) it's like flipping a coin with 10 sides, and 9 out of 10 times I land with my face in her blade.

It's really hard to counter her, she can nearly always track you.

Do you have any tips how I can play against her.. Perks or anything else, because I'm running out of Ideas.

When in phasing, run back over your own scratch marks, or just start walking either forward or a different direction.

When near a pallet drop it and slow vault back over, or keep running.

Next time you're at a pallet while she's phasing drop the pallet and stay on the side you came from, or run back where you came from.

Same with windows fast vault and slow vault back.

Perks: iron will is good against her.

Using quick and quiet with lithe and dance with me also very strong against her at loops.

Just a few examples, there are a few more but mixing things up and you get into her head instead of she in yours
