I think a nice way to make pigs trap less rng based is to make the removal of the traps like the yellow glyph. Besides that I don't have any other idea

    Remember the old ruin?

Oh that was so difficult for new players, and for new players who helped veterans it became annoying for the veterans.

Btw with the old ranking system new players would be match against high ranked killers only when they were in a swf, so that is a risk the veterans will take when doing that.

But despite it being a hex which went usually within the first minute of the match, it still need to change because it was to strong.

So i wouldn't hold my breath for the yellow glyph skill checks, even though i would love to see those skill checks more

Remember the clown rework that BHVR had a year to do? All we got was an extra bottle type, a few addon changes, and faster reload. He still sucks. Yes, he has strengths at tiles but lacks map pressure.

Remember the RE chapter? Wow, we got Nemesis. Too bad he is very underwhelming. Yes, he has good pallet play but is so... underwhelming. It isn't hard to escape from him, and his tier 3 could be so much better. But it isn't. His tier 3 is one extra meter of his tentacle attack... that's it? You spend all game building it for just one little buff. Then there is the inconsistency and RNG reliant zombies that totally make it feel atmospheric...

Remember Legion? He has gotten no buffs in years. But seriously? Not even small buffs? He is literally half of a killer right now. He can keep people injured and find them relatively easily, but that is it. He is just another m1 killer with nothing going for him. A JOKE of a killer. Good luck barely managing to get one kill with this guy at high MMR.

Remember the Trickster buffs? Sure they helped him, but they didn't give him what he really needed. He needed map P R E S S U R E. Seriously, making a killer better at something they were already decent at is not how you buff them right. Forget that, remember the All-kill "chapter"? We got another weak killer, no map (because making older ones look better is top priority apparently).

But take a look at this For Honor "crossover".

This is actually so humiliating for BHVR. It is probably going to give them a bad reputation (not saying it was good before... at all). Check out what Ubisoft did, and what BHVR did.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBZ8xXnz8I8&t=76s&ab_channel=Ubisoft

Looks awesome right? Hell, I might even buy the game because of this; I'm not even joking. THIS looks awesome. Now let's take a look at what BHVR did for Ubisoft for their crossover.

    https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1451579169624793092?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet

...That's it? Wow, a charm with a for honor helmet. What an AMAZING CROSSOVER BHVR. For honor got a whole new event. For honor got a keyring.

What about some current issues hm? Some persisting bugs, killer design, all the good stuff.

    • The silent survivor bug has been around for an incredibly long time and has not been fixed.
    • We still don't have loadouts or search bars for perks. And BHVR's reasoning for this one or similar things is that they have more important things to work on... Like what? Nerfing pig again? Making this absolutely amazing crossover event with Ubisoft?
    • Trickster can't even hold main event... why?
    • Audio is still wonky and inconsistent when walls come into play.
    • Wraith got nerfed for literally no reason other than "he was a wee bit op".
    • Survivors can still escape Trapper's traps on the first try. Just make it take 10 seconds to escape from a bear trap.
    • There is almost no point in p3ing any character; almost no reward for doing it.
    • Since the MMR isn't achieving what it originally intended, there really is no point in locking killers in a lobby. But it is still in the game.
    • Boon totems are yet another thing for killers to worry about, meaning that your chances of getting a wider variety of killers as survivor are even slimmer.

Now some of the smaller issues like not buffing legion or allowing trickster to hold his power aren't exactly terrible ok, they aren't too bad alright. It is upsetting to see because it shows that BHVR can't even bother to fix the smaller issues in their game.

There are actually more bug fixes than good content in every patch note these days. Don't believe me? Have a look at the most recent patch notes.

    Here's one:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/290-5-1-0-mid-chapter

    Here's another:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/294-5-2-0-hellraiser

    And another:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/295-5-2-1-bugfix-patch

    And another...:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/296-5-2-2-bugfix-patch

So many changes, and only some of them were actually good. The Ghostface, Plague, and Trapper buffs were good, and the perk buffs were nice. But you know what would have been nicer? If they had all come out sooner. When was the last time the devs touched these killers?

They don't care about the small QoL changes that are actually really appreciated.

They don't care about making the game more fun and balanced.

It shows they do not care about your gaming experience.

I mean come on, they literally nerfed billy for no real reason. His addons suck now. They. Suck. Period. And then there is the overheat mechanic which I don't feel like getting into.

Then we have the MMR system we currently have. BHVR spent over a year working on this. Over a year. +365 days on a system that works just as well as the last one. Escaping or killing should not be the determining factor that decides skill in DBD. It should be everything that goes on in between. Decision making and efficiency for both sides, and the use of your power as killer.

But not only do we have a really bad MMR system, we have a company here who knows that this system sucks and just laughs it off. If "There's too much nuance to make an effective system", then why in the world was it added in the first place?

This is getting so tiring. I'm sick of this. I'm sick of BHVR. I'm sick of how the game is neglected. I'm just sick of it all. I just want the game to be better.

I know in the past we had our differences, but F i agree with you 100% on this.

I have been screaming for a QoL chapter instead of releasing new content, just to fix their game (as far as that is possible)

I was already sceptical about the mmr when they talked about it knowing bhvr, and it is exactly what i was afraid of.

If they really want to have MMR in this game than first balance the game better before implementing it.

I used to play both sides but more killer than survivor, now i fully dropped killer as it is absolutely no fun anymore.

You have to used the best killers with the best perks to actually being able to win.

Sure you can get a 3 or 4k by just slugging them and hooking them 1 by 1, but F that is to boring for me i want to play for 12 hooks and go on different chases, try different builds, do fun builds, etc.

But that is just not possible when you are at higher MMR.

But they just don't seem to care about that, as they don't really look at the killers perspective and see the $$$ from the many survivors.

Sure i have bought a few things but have stopped doing that for a while now, i want them to get their S together and start working to get their game better.

They're not a small company anymore so they can't hide behind that anymore, they should have the manpower to actually start optimizing this game and bring it in a better state.

    That is, if they cared

I understand the difference between the perks, I was hoping you'd understand the context of what I'm saying. I do bones and I know that it's a secondary objective. I do them when the game is going too fast and I do them when there is a hex. What my point is, that everyone does not seem to get, is that you can not afford to go around breaking totems every single game when killers also bring slow-down. It is not that black and white, and the fact that nobody seems to see the nuance in that is surprising.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2582372#Comment_2582372

This is just an absolute gross misrepresentation of myself or absolute bait.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2582368#Comment_2582368

    This is short-sighted.

The frustrations behind this perk seem to escape you all. I'm not so close-minded that I don't recognize NOED is by far not a meta perk. Against a strong survivor team, or against a solid SWF, NOED pales. I get that, but I'm speaking on the average soloq game where there is no communication, or where people don't have a certain DLC perk to counter it.

I play solo evey time and it rarely pops tbh.

The top secret about it is that i do bones.

You know a change always starts with you.

Do bones if you see them and it's chance that it pops gets really small, and you know where you have been should it pop and know where to start searching πŸ˜‰

  • @vacaman said:

Do they really reduce the charge time of m2? I have them stacked to 50% and i swear i can't still reach survivors on a normal pallet loop in less than 10 spins around it. Doc has allways been my least favourite killer, I always think that the time I invested denying pallets i would have just gotten the pallet way or mindgamed it with another killer. I don't know if it's just me that can't tell the difference or they actually don't reduce to 50% (purple+green discipline).

    You read it wrong.

It has nothing to do with your static shock but with the static blast.

but doesn’t it have something to do with totems though?????

  • @Nomadd said:

To be honest I rarely get tunneled or camped and people are often saying that on iri ranks killers constantly camp and tunnel... and to be honest after rank reset I had much more miserable experience on low ranks, than on high. On low killers were actually tunneling, not accidentally stumping upon same survivor, but actually they were consciously picking one survivor and had tunnel vision on this one person. Best situation was when I body blocked a Bubba and he was so focused on getting to that survivor, he refused to use chainsaw on me and tried to move around the whole tile just to TRY to catch up to that survivor he was focused on xD

That's tunneling, when killer just happens to find you again... well, next time you're unhooked find a better spot to go and heal. Recently I really had rather nice matches, even if I was dying, I was feeling it was fair.

As for NOED... I have kind of mixed feelings, I don't really mind it, because in most games me and my friend we break all the totems anyway, so it usually doesn't affect us. What I don't really like about it (don't flame me ;) ) is that most of the time it just gives free kills to really, REALLY bad killers. And yeah, I know you can say that it at least gives bad players chance, okay, but it still feels kind of cheap and frustrating when killer can't do more than one hit on you for the whole match and then he gets you... I feel like that's equivalent of old hatch, when survivors could just end the game on the spot. But you can get rid of NOED before it even activates, so I'm like 90% okay with it, even if it sometimes frustrates me :)

You do know that the rank/grades don't matter anymore right?

There's the hidden mmr which do the matchmaking now, still terrible btw.

As for noed, i don't care about it either cause it's something to get rid of easily.

The people complain about noed are the one's who don't do bones because they think it's a waste of time, then come here complain about it.

I wonder how they will do when there will actually be a secondary objective someday πŸ˜‚

    Is it a terrible perk?

    Yes.

I've been hit by it a couple of times as well which sucks if that happens.

And there were always 2 reason for.

    1 i didn't do bones

2 i was mostly in case and my team didn't do any bones.

But other than that, it rarely ever gets active

  • @Nicholas said:

I am not referring to grabs or pallet hits. I played killer tonight using a mobile hotspot with a ping of 270-335 ms, and none of my hits were invalidated. I noticed that if I swung near a vault, even when the Survivor had successfully cleared it on MY screen that the hit still prevailed. I'm guessing the threshold is highly generous, which is why the server never rejected my hits.

My experience is that the higher the ping the more advantage you have.

I played as killer a while back against survivors with the lowest ping of 250ms while the highest ping of 1 was 900+ ms.

I could even walk up against them and swing and it still didn't connect.

So unfortunately it works the opposite way as it supposed to be.

  • Whenever i get some salty or hate message i just send this.

    PS_App_20210502_014728.jpeg

And if it goes further than that like death threats and stuff, i just report them for it.

And i know for certain that playstation will actually ban these people, so it's never a waste of time to report those people

    Then take a hit?

It depends how survivors split, when unhooking person goes to shack and unhooked into deadzone, I will choose deadzone, because it's an easy down.

I have seen very few killers actually tunnel, where they ignore anyone trying to take protective hits and just go after one guy. Well, it happened more to key holders and with old OoO...

I mean when anyone use flashlight macro, he is just asking for it etc.

but if you are not toxic, then killer will usually not be either.

    Exactly this.

Something i rarely see is that when someone gets unhooked, the unhooker forces the hit on him.

Most of the time is see the person that unhooks immediately run away and usually even in front of the unhooked person as well.

Whenever i unhook someone, even if i don't know the killer will tunnel or not, i will force him on me as much as i can.

Even when he tunnels i will try to block him as much as i can, standing in doorways or small gaps, etc, just so he has to either hit me or go around which in both cases he loses time doing it.

  • @IronKnight55 said:

Killers already love tunneling and NOED. Nothing will change.

When i played killer i never tunneled or used noed, neither did i camped.

I always wanted to go for 12 hooks or as close as possible, so not all killers are the same just like not every survivor is the same.

However good job devs, I think it is my favorite Halloween event :)

Oh i love it when i get reported for hacking, that always makes my day.

To clarify, i don't hack as i won't sink to their level.

My favorite report was when i was playing wraith about 2 years back.

4 man swf blendette squad, 3 purple mist and 1 yellow mist and another purple mist from me.

About every single wraith was always using windstorm as this was all before he got his little buff.

But I was using the all seeing blood and swift hunt.

Well i don't think i have to explain how quick they went down and they never had a clue that i was using the all seeing.

And of course I got overwhelmed with messages that i was reported for hacking and it was impossible that i always knew where they were, and of course some nasty stuff.

That really made my day to see how oblivion they were about killer add ons.

Hell you could even see the killers perks and add ons back then before the match was over, so they could gave read it and informed their friends what i was using 🀣

You'd think an event like this would bring a community together to smash pumpkins but no.

So happy the DC penalty is off.

    lol 🀣🀣🀣

You do know that this goes both ways right?

Killers do stuff survivors don't like and survivors do things killers don't like.

You can complain all you want about something on 1 side, but end of the day is that it is always on both sides.

Just stop complaining about 1 side as it will never stop and it will never be only 1 side ✌️

If you want to keep buying stuff then just do it, no one is keeping your wallet closed but yourself.

The point he is trying to make is if you want bhvr to listen to the community, then the community has to shut down their income.

Every company is affected by income and so is bhvr.

Meaning no one is buying cosmetics or dlc is no income for bhvr, and thus they have to start and take a look at why that is happening.

Then we agree on pretty much everything. πŸ˜€

Personally i have completely stopped to play DbD. Have installed back BF1 and BF4 and i'm having a blast.

I will wait for VHS and Evil Dead, both look promising but i don't think i will ever come back in the fog, the game is doomed to my mind and devs won't be fast enough to fix it to an acceptable level. And if we refer to my survivor queue times last week, many killers has either switched side either stopped to play.

    Pretty much yes.

I haven't stopped playing yet, i only switched to survivor only now.

I might switch back to killer if they can make it better, I'm someone who loves to run something different than multiple gen slowdown perks and be more gimmicky/meme.

But unfortunately atm that is not a possibility anymore.

So for now it's race games and to chill a bit dbd as survivor only

  • @JohnWeak said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2566874#Comment_2566874

Using a perk slot to counter a behavior that should't even exists into the game, where is it fair ?

About tunneling, i only talk about high MMR scene, the rest of the players i don't care as they don't know how to play, why should we care to balance a game for mediocre players ? So at high MMR, against a Nurse, Nemesis, Spirit, Blight you won't be able to last long in any chase.

The global game design is old and broken, allowing camping and tunneling (even forcing these behaviors). Meanwhile developers are creating more and more killers that can end chases in no time just to compensate the gen speed and the garbage map & game designs.

Nothing is fun in DbD anymore.

When you play survivor, you will always get one being camped and tunneled, gen rushing or trying to help is not fun, it's either holding M1 or dying rescuing the hooked camped survivor; in both cases, the interaction with the killer is terribly limited (interacting with the killer being the fun part of the game...).

As a killer, you can't do anything but camp and tunnel as you will be bullied against high skilled survivors, especially if they are not soloQ.

The way DbD has been designed, around generators, hooks & looping is why we all have a terrible experience now that MMR is out as nothing, not a single aspect of the game is properly balanced.

Maps are either too big either too small. They are either too empty either too full of buildings and jungle gyms. There are way too many pallets/windows and possible semi-infinite situation. Generators are done way too fast without any counter measure for the killer. Fact that survivors can bring awesome items to do gens even faster is bullshit.

Fact that they can bring heal items is BS too. Do they have the choice between equipping self care or being injured all the time ? No, Just brin a purple medkit and you are good to go.

Hook system combined with the other aspects force the killers to camp and tunnel.

I wasn't talking about fairness at all.

I know what it's like up there in high mmr, and no i also don't enjoy dbd anymore.

That's why i stepped away from playing killer, something i have played a lot since day 1 and always enjoyed.

I always went for a 12 hook even if it seemed doomed to fail, but with the mmr implemented that is something you just can't do anymore.

Yes bringing items or perks as survivor is imo unnecessary as you will escape pretty easily anyway.

Any gen slowdown perks a killer has is getting nerfed because it's to strong against lower level players, something the devs always put first instead of the higher players.

And imo i think more killers(main) should just switch sides and stay there for a long time, maybe this will open the eyes of the devs for once (doubt that tho)

Don't get me wrong, i understand your frustration, but don't take it out on me as i only gave examples of what to do.

I never talked about it being fair or balanced πŸ˜‰βœŒοΈ

  • @Taingaran said:

In my opinion, the problem is not only in the MMR but also in the opinion of the killers. Most of the time, the killers were doing 3k and 4k. But now the rules have changed. Now 2k is normal, in a sense, a victory. And 3k and 4k means that you tried very hard. Or the survivors were doing nonsense))

Nah i accept that this game gets more unbalanced more and more so i just stopped playing killer.

Tbh something which i enjoyed very much but ever since the introduction of the sbmm, the games are mostly about 7 to 8 minutes if I'm lucky.

Don't get me wrong, i don't mind trying hard to get as much as possible, but doing different builds or trying different builds are just doomed to fail.

Things like scratch mirror Myers at high mmr is extremely rare to succeed, just to give an example.

Cause they just rush the gens even faster if they know you try something like that.

It's sad but because of the devs who are so proud of their "accomplishment" forces me to switch to just one side to have some fun at this game.

  • @Eli2020 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2566111#Comment_2566111

Only it isn't fair to the person who didn't get to play because there's many other ways to kill survivors. Ignoring gens popping for a kill isn't even playing when it takes thag long and they've been facing since the start of the match. Those are the problem and they are literally saturating the killers.

If vaulting is blocked for abuse then so should facing be.

    Never said anything about fairness.

Been many times on the hook and being facecamped, and yes i just keep hanging there to give the rest of the team a chance to escape.

    Is it fun for me?

Nope, but it's part of the game and I just move on to the next game which is almost better every time

  • @JohnWeak said:

The camping counter is wrong as it's only countered by SWF.

Non SWF will have to come check the hook, see that the killer is camping and then decide individually to do gens. All survivors will loose 1 minute doing this. So atm there is no counter.

As well, tunneling has no counter against killers that are efficient in chases.

Well to be fair, there's a perk called kindred which can help you against campers πŸ˜‰

Not chosing to run it is on you, i don't always run it either tho as i switch it with different perks.

But overall that perk is very good to use as a solo, both when you're on the hook as well as when another is on the hook.

About tunneling, that depends on the survivor being tunneled.

If the survivor is very good in being chased then the killer has a hard time, even has to decide whether it's worth it to continue or not.

I for 9ne love to being chased and can hold my own very well.

Unless you have other survivors that try to help you and mangle in the chase, i appreciate it when they try to help but in my experience is that it full only screw me over.

  • @Mistakesweremade said:

Tunneling can only be punished with perks, a killer playing sweaty can just ignore made up rules and go after the same survivor as many times as he wants to sacrifice him as fast as possible. That's why BT and DS are such strong go-to perks, they invalidate one of the most powerful tactics a killer can use in order to win the game.

If they go after a weak link then yes perks for tunneling are necessary.

If they go after a strong survivor then it will cost them to lose the game over it.

Yes the chances are big you will go down eventually, but that it means he will only get 1 and not 4.

It is very well possible you even escape if the rest of the team is also strong or competent.

Believe it or not, i enjoy if the killer goes after me it's more fun than sitting on the gen.

    @Eli2020 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/287432/camping-slugging-and-tunneling-is-already-punishable-by-the-survivors

Hook guarding is really the only thing that needs to go, the others at least you can try and get a fair chance.

I have watched whole teams go down trying to do what you suggest on so many occasions it's not even funny that it's classified as gameplay.

EVEN WITH a purple toolkit geared towards hook sabotage and someone helping pull people off hooks AND the offering that makes then further apart. Iron grip is what gets us there but is a fair perk IF they aren't hook guarding.

It ruins the fun of the game (because there is no way you're gaining enjoyment from standing in one spot and or slapping hooked meat around) and doesn't allow hooked survivors to play at all, which is becoming normal just to save the other three. It's toxic and something should be done about it because it isn't even funny how common it is.

If hook guarding needs to go then you punish the killer more than you'll realize.

What if your team and the killer are both strong but he didn't get any kills yet?

So during egc he downs 1 of you and wants to secure his 1 and only kill 9f the match.

So if you punish hook guarding in any way, he'll get punished for his hard work even though the game was fair for both sides.

The only way you can punish the killer is how it is done now.

They get punished by being in the proximity of the hook when there's no survivor in a 16m radius.

And should 1 being facecamped early in the game then punish him by just pushing out the gens.

Sure maybe there's another survivor who might fall, but at least the rest can get out and he doesn't get a 4k

  • @feffrey said:

A killer faces survivors in a one on one situation mainly and you shouldn't automatically win a 1v1 because you're playing killer

Deathslinger in no way was a free 4k either.

Maybe you should actually play Deathslinger before you decide how easy he is.

Well tbh he is right at a point being easy free 4k.

You do not have to 4k every match to win

lol having an idea of where to run, how and when is how you play against deathslinger.

I seriously never had any issues against him.

Sure he get you from time to time, but if you stay unpredictable then he can't read you and misses his shots.

You don't also have to 4 man escape to win either.

Making those statements are just stupid imo.

    Why?

Because as survivor you always try to escape and as killer you always try to get a 4 kill.

That you are sacrificed 1 match doesn't mean the killer gets a 4k.

It just means that the killer knew how to play better then you, whether it be deathslinger, nurse, trapper, wraith or whomever.

They got into your head and made the right reads and you didn't, which also works the other way around btw.

They're prob tired of being healed by other survivors who cannot pass their skill checks. Rather than risk letting someone else fail the skill check and bring the killer over, they'd prefer to play the skillcheck mini game themselves to heal.

    Hahahaha i guess so.

If they do that to me, running off and go self care while I'm next to them, then i don't bother anymore to heal them another time.

Same with the vid i posted, I unhook the Nea and she decides to sabo the hook first.

Sure go ahead and do that, but I'm gone then.

    I would've healed her if she'd followed me, but she didn't πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

Anyone who has played soloQ knows that most of the times it's pointless to count on teammates healing you, so self-care is a necessity.

Well i play solo from the start and look at the vid i posted and see if you can find self care in my build πŸ˜‰πŸ˜…

But i do indeed see those perks quite often, some times even in that combination.

I never understood the hate against him. He wasn’t even that great and his shots were so easily counterable.

Same here, never understood it either.

Be unpredictable in your movements and he's having a hard time, especially when he misses his shots because of that.

Some people just want easy killers because of the reason i stated earlier.

I just find it sad and pathetic that bhvr is giving into their demands.

  • @Nathan13 said:

I don't think anyone asked for the deathslinger nerf.

    Yeah they did.

It were the crybabies who don't look behind them and run in a straight line, then call deathslinger op with no counters.

Unfortunately bhvr are about the same level and thus listen more to them then to the higher level of players.

I never had an issue with solo q. It’s all I ever played as survivor really. It’s been terrible since MMR started. The teammates are bad. I started running bond, kindred, and open handed to see what my teammates were doing. Match after match I watched self care constantly being used behind trees and in corners. People hiding in the corner while a survivor is hooked, not helping in any manner. Had a game where I was hooked in one corner, watched a teammate get hooked in the opposite corner while the last remaining survivor worked on the second to last gen. It was the first hook for myself the the other respective hooked survivor. Game after game of this.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a great survivor but I can be found doing a gen or unhooking a survivor safely. I will take the occasional protection protection hit to try and keep a death-hook survivor from going down as well.

ive known I’m not the best survivor, but something is off.

lol at times i can feel you indeed.

    First match of the day:

I queued as survivor against a Wraith that brought a map for the Police Station and his build proceeded to be as follows: Ruin, Devour Hope, Undying, NO Way Out!

Also used two overpowered addons: Silent Bell and All Seeing! The survivors on my team I actually recognized, very experienced that has played for a long time. We had no chance to escape!

The Wraith was spamming his silent bell and was downing everyone in little time. We didn't even find the first hex but managed to complete 2 gens before his Devour activated and it was game over.

Why do killers have these kind of broken overpowered advantages yet things like keys are completely destroyed? These survivors I played with had actual thousands of hours. Can you imagine if we were all new against this kind of Wraith.

How was it actually said in a public fashion that keys made killers feel unfair? As survivor, the match I just experienced was NOT fair!

This game needs to stop hand holding killers and constantly nerfing survivors. Devour Hope needs a nerf and so do all Hex perks. Killers such as Wraith should not have guaranteed wins on these maps with busted setups. If killers can end the match early with broken setups, survivors should be able to end the match early. What is fair is fair.

If that wasn't enough, the Wraith forced the last person to bleed to death and spamming his overpowered bell.

Fix your game and make it fair.

Was it true that you used to play nurse a lot?

    Just wondering

  • Nurse have been nerfed already.

    No more 3 blinks basekit

Charges need to recharge instead of having them instantly with the old nurse.

And i believe there are several bugs still exist since her rework, i only have that from hearsay as i don't play her that often.

Survivor mains and low level survivors (mostly) want to have killers that are easy to counter.

They can't think of other tactics or even 1 step ahead and thus fall easy against those killers.

It's just sad bhvr is more concerned about the money from survivors (that's why they have a huge cosmetic range) than actually look at the big picture.

People cry about a certain killer?

Don't worry bhvr will take care of that πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

I’ve tried every possible mind game that people have convince can work against her. It only works against players who are new to Spirit which doesn’t necessarily make a killer fair. Now good Spirits will be able to do real mind games and won’t notice that much of a difference in the reward for playing her. I hope they don’t add the dust kicking though.

Maybe, tho i went against really good spirits and was able to fool them.

Just as long as you stay unpredictable you can get far as the chase is just about wasting as much time as you can.

About the dust kicking, i too hope they will never add it.

Tbf the only change spirit needed with her base kit, was when you're in her TR making a little sound que when she went into her phase.

That make the standing still "mindgame" more fair, other than that i don't think she needed anything else.

maybe it's just me feeling nostalgia or something, idk

but i really miss old freddy's kit, both playing as and against him. it was fun trying to guess where he was coming from and having to try and figure out a game plan early on, especially based on the builds you make with your perks that can either make the game easier or extremely challenging.

his power was also extremely unique when he had to pull survivors into the dream world. i feel as if they maybe gave him back his old kit but kept some modern things in place, he'd be more fun and interesting to use and play against.

    what do you think?

######### yeah, i definitely miss the old freddy.

Really enjoyed playing as him, with the purple Z block and the red paint brush, they always thought they have enough time to get to the pallet 🀣

Wish we could switch between old freddy and his add ons and the new with the new add ons

  • I don't know gann and the way he talks is just like someone who pretends to play a certain killer or killer in general, then say that comes here and say "I main killer and even I find this said killer broken"

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/285532/spirit-nerf-can-t-come-soon-enough

The only thing that makes a killer fun to play against is winning. Any killer that is easy to beat and doesn't require too much thinking or game skill to do so is fun and balanced.

The people complaining about Spirit never cared about balance. They didn't even try to enjoy having really pay attention to the killer's movements and using what you learned to outplay the killer. They just know that they can't run in circles or in a straight line and win, so they complained. Or maybe their favorite streamer told them Spirit is OP and it's ok to d/c against her.

All I know for sure is: if Spirit is still strong after yet another series of nerfs for her, they'll complain and d/c just like they have all along until she finally gets nerfed into oblivion and is no longer fun to play as.

    Exactly this.

All that people want is brainless running the killer without much thinking involved.

Spirit and nurse are my 2 favorite killers to play against because you have to work for it.

"They didn't even try to enjoy having really pay attention to the killer's movements and using what you learned to outplay the killer."

I mean you can't really read her movements because she gives no information lol.

There's something called thinking outside of the box.

Get in the head of spirit and you will know what she'll be doing.

People are creatures of habits and will do the same thing multiple times.

Find those things and you'll know what she'll be doing.

Don't dc against her or kill on hook and just learn her for a chance

  • @Clowning said:

Behaviour seems too concerned with making Killers fun to play against, less so to play as.

Yup i completely agree with you.

To bad they don't realize that the more they do these things, the more they drive away people who play killer.

I usually play as both sides, a little bit more killer than survivor, but lately i don't feel the urge to play as killer anymore.

For me fun is being taken away more and more each time and never in those 5 years I've had this.

Give it a little time and you will get 1hr ques for survivor, no matter what you're mmr is.

  • @Triplehoo said:

Looping the killer around and near the hooks? Just stop it. Rather try to take the killer AWAY from the hook so that other survivors can rescue the one that was hooked, or that he/she can perform deliverance to unhook them safely.

Come on, people. This is not a rocket science.

When i play as survivor i definitely want that they take the killer away from the hook.

But when i play killer, i don't mind when they want to play stupid πŸ˜œπŸ˜‚

As a console player it's hard to actually do that, while some clips are possible there are common issues with doing so and not the easiest of things to do mid match. But yeah that game was dreadful, not one person could stop it lol

If you ay on Playstation 4 or 5 than making a clip isn't even that hard.

You can choose to record before the match start or even after the match you can choose to save it.

    I really don't get it

Killers say they don't have time to look for boon bones because they must just chase and kill

But also want to look for bones to set up the Hexes themselves?

I agree and i should have put that in there.

But when i play killer i don't want to spend time doing that, nor searching for noob totems.

But my point was that if survivors can keep making noob totems every time it's taken away by the killer, then it's only fair that a killer should be able to activate their hex again.

You can choose whether or not you want to go for it just like the survivors can.

Well, you see - having to spend 20 seconds to put your ruin into a good spot is well invested time and preferable to having your ruin spawn 1 meter next to a generator.

    Exactly this.

Just like putting it up a hill in the open like a lighthouse or just in front of it.

What do u think if there were revive cooldown on hex totems. Like if your Ruin was destroyed it reappears on free dull totem after 1 min.

This is also a good idea but can be strong with hexes that use tokens, or they should go back to 0.

But other than that, that isn't such a bad idea tbh

  • @Dehitay said:

For those who didn't read it, one of the very rare (purple) addons for trapper is being changed to where he gets all the bear traps in the match at the beginning of the trial, but when he places them, he can no longer pick them up. Why the hell does a purple addon have such a painful nerf tied to it? God forbid if the survivors actually figure out you have this addon because it can be abused pretty harshly unless you limit yourself to unpopular spots which reduces the trap's potency.

Though what really annoys me is this comes immediately after the sentence "Finally,Β on the subject of add-ons, we’ve done a pass on some of his least used add-onsΒ and either increased their effects, removed their downsides, or gave them new effects entirely." Which means they actually understand that some downsides are unnecessary and yet added this one. What possible concerning scenario would pop up from the Trapper being able to pick up his traps again?

Yup something i didn't get either, not being able to pick up traps imo will hurt him more than it will help him.

Good luck running that add on and being sent to mothers dwelling 🀣

I think on the small maps it got a little potential, but big maps will hurt him.

That's what you get when the devs don't really understand much about their game

  • What annoys me the most is that i get many people from the Arabics while i live in the Netherlands.

Now i don't have any problem with them other that their connection is horrendous.

I've been going against a full swf of them with the lowest ping of 250 ms, which is already terrible.

The worst part is there was 1 survivor who's ping was constantly around 900 ms, that's almost a freaking 1 second delay they have.

    And hit validation? 🀣🀣🀣🀣

I literally walked against them in a straight line and tried to hit him, and whaddya know, it didn't connect.

And yes it wasn't dead hard as he was full health.

So my plea would be not more servers in EU, but put some servers down there.

That would solve a lot of problems

Well my most favorite killer to face in DBD The Spirit has been nerfed and now I gotta find another one. This was not required as made the game more unique and interesting than most killers have.

Learning to know when Spirit activated phase was fun to find and now that's gone and now I can't confuse her when she phases to throw her off now because I can hear where she is in phase. I'm gonna miss playing against this I would hope they revert back to this but, that won't happen because Spirit has "0" counterplay right?

    COUGH "she does" COUGH

The devs always go to an extreme or to little, it's never in between with them.

The only thing spirit needed was a little sound que when she went into phase when you were in here TR.

Other than that everything else was fine.

I never had trouble playing against her and really enjoyed it.

Yes im an idiot who loves going against spirit and nurse, because you have to chance your playstyle and that is what i enjoyed.
