Very OP. Trickster is equivalent to putting 5 in a room, but giving only one of them knives to throw. No counterplay, going down without any way to avoid it. Pallets, windows, nothing works.
Because you're terrible at playing as survivor and give up on your 1st hook most of the time, so you refuse to learn anything nor take any advice from others.
But sure you keep living in your own little bubble 😂

i’ve been popping around streams seeing what streamers say and apparently she’s potentially S tier. people are saying she rivals blight and may be a top 4.
i have also heard she has a very high skill ceiling and is hard to play. poeple that have actually played her a fair amount, what is everyone thinking?
I haven't played her as console doesn't have access to ptb which is bs.
But on ptb it's imo always difficult to say how strong or weak a killer is, especially on the 1st day.
On ptb you have many different skill levels on the survivor side.
So she might look strong but they have faced lower skilled survivors or vice versa.
Just have to wait till the live version

That may be for a lot of people but my internet is fine and I don't leave for stupid ass reasons but if I'm getting chased by the killer and I get sent three buildings back it's really f-ing annoying or if I'm chasing a survivor and I hit them five times and they keep running and all of them get out like its not fair/playable
Well by the sounds of it, it is indeed your connection to the server.
Might be that you play wireless which causes hiccups in your connection.
Or the server where you're connected to is far away and maybe makes you connection unstable.

Most people play the game to have fun, not to feel stress. Playing against such killers as Doctor is not fun for anyone. Every Doctor game is only fun for the killer at the expense of survivors. But instead of reworking the killer to make him well designed the devs just ignore any complaints and force you to play against him as is.
And before you say something like "tHeN doNT pLaY tHe gAme": the game is fun, but some specific aspects of it are not. Doctor and similar annoying killers are an example. The game would be better without them or with them reworked. But implementing a good rework takes time and effort, while turning on a DC penalty does not. Some maps like RPD are also an example: devs don't acknowledge their mistake and force you to swallow the map as is.
It's funny because when people don't want to eat DC penalty, they just suicide on hook, and you can't stop that. Even if you remove the ability to die quickly, people will just run into the killer and go idle. If you ban for AFKs - people will start playing potato style and go down in a second. You can't force people to play a game they don't want to. And yet it all wouldn't be a problem if they just reworked broken or annoying beyond enduring killers and maps. But the devs' philosophy is to force people to play a bad game rather than fixing the game and making it good to stop people wanting to leave.
Don't speak for everyone, as I never cared about facing doc.
He's always been easy and still easy.
I don't understand why people have any problems with him, some say it's the flickering of the madness, some say he gets "free" info, many different excuses.
Every killer has something people don't like, it's something you have to get used to, it's never an excuse to dc

Because most survivors just want to run in a straight line and not being hit.
Zig zag and breaking LoS is to much to think of for many.
The amount of times that i went down by his ability i can count on 1 hand, i don't mind going against him as he's easy to counter.

If I play 50 matches a day and disconnect only once, it means I have only abandoned 2% of my matches. Whereas if someone else plays 5 matches a day and quits once, it would be 20% of their matches, yet we both get punished equally.
On top of that, if I continue playing 50 matches the next day and disconnect only once, and it happens to be less than 24 hours since my last disconnect, then my penalty gets reset and stacked!
Why doesn't the penalty take into account all the games that I did play without leaving and reduce the time remaining on my 24-hour countdown, so I can remove a penalty stack sooner? Why just punish bad behavior and not reward good behavior?
Killers have been camping and tunneling since the game's release, yet you don't punish them for it. Instead you reward them if they don't camp & tunnel (BBQ & Chili), and you even reward them if they do camp & tunnel (NOED).
Why dc in the first place?
That's the question you should ask yourself first.
The 2nd question would be, is it worth to get punished when i dc?
3rd question would be, how would i react if my teammates dc and leave me at a disadvantage in this map?
There is only 1 answer to it all, don't dc at all (unless you're playing against a hacker tho)
And should you dc for any other reason, don't come crying about getting punished for it here.
You dc'd while knowing full well you shouldn't and would get punished for it.
If you dc then it serves you right to get punished, and i would say a 5 minutes bann is even on the soft side.
If i could give the penalties, it would be at least 30 minutes.

So a killer has been and is still currently body blocking me waiting for me to DC. Is there anything that can be done about this while I have this person actively doing this? I think it sucks that we have no other recourse than to just DC and eat a 5 min ban cuz someone else was breaking the rules. There really should be something added to this game that stops collision if it's been active for a long enough time.
Any suggestions? I'm going out to eat and I'ma let it stay afk and if it's still there when I get back I guess I have no choice but to DC. Really frustrating design.
An hour?
How?
Blame your fellow survivor for not escaping then as well 😉

He's not wrong. Blight with Ruin, Undying and Tinkerer is pretty busted in my opinion.
🤣🤣
Far from busted if you ask me.
Destroy ruin and he starts to struggle more.
Get with 2 people on the gen an push ot out asap.
He comes to your gen while it's not finished?
So what?
He can only chase 1 and if he starts staying close to the gen, 2 others can push other gens.
He has to make the decision to either make sure that gen regress a lot and lose other gens.
Or leave that gen to pressure the other gens and losing that gen in the progress.
If he starts chasing 1 of you 2 than the other jumps back on the gen.
Remember your repair progress is faster than his regress progress.
I don't get it why people complain about others perks being OP/busted/to strong, while themselves are allowed to run the strongest perks on their side? 🤷🏼♂️
Just use whatever the game provides you and stop whining about 1 side

First match of the day. BBQ, Ruin, Undying, and the extremely busted Tinkerer.
So I almost had a Gen almost completed and the Blight shows up from nowhere undetectable. I got down. Before I go back and finish the gen, one was on a hook and another slugged. The Blight shows up again because of tinkerer.
And killers want to complain about Boons and SWF? All I have to say is killers have some extremely busted things that need nerfing.
I'm already quitting for the night because there is no chance against the killer meta. Experienced killers with training wheels is busted. Rework tinkerer, nerf Blight, nerf Ruin. It's not fun.
Why don't you stick to playing killer than if you get so irritated by playing survivor?
Clearly survivor it's meant for you 😉

I read something vague on here about some other instances where a dev made a statement and then got steamrolled on video but i never heard anything specific or seen a link.
I have no idea tbh.
I'm sure there will be some if you search on YouTube tho.
I've came across 1 of Almo with multiple clips of him messing up, i believe when he played survivor i think.

Seriously I'd say 75-80% of the posts here complaining about camping and tunneling are just players who suck at losing with dignity.
How many streams do you watch where everyone cries camper/tunnler for any or no reason other than they died?
How many times do you get hit with the trash killer camping/tunneller post game again for any reason?
I just had a game, leatherface on midwich. I down 1 survivor next to basement hook em down there, as I'm leaving a survivor runs behind me into the basement for the save when I'm right next to the stairs. So I chainsaw down the stairs and down him. DC.
I go to leave the basement and the next survivor has just given up standing at the top of the stairs waiting for me to down them. I oblige and hook em.
Spend the rest of the game chainsawing doors, the couple of dropped pallets from the first chase and snuff a boon. I'm nowhere near the basement at this point with two hanging on hooks down there.
Stumble across hatch close it for the BP, run into the last survivor smack the exit gate they don't get it and just start running, decide screw it down them and hook GG.
Post game "dirty camper", "trash basement bubba", "uninstall", "#########" etc etc etc.
I hope the devs aren't listening to this crap because a lot of it is just whining sore loser BS.
Unfortunately they have said they were working on something against camping with the latest Q&A.
But yeah it doesn't matter if you go after new survivors the whole game, you always have people complaining that you tunneled them or camped them.
Even though you went across the entire map hooking different survivors 🤷🏼♂️

Theres really no point in having a NUMBER to determinate your skill if you can't see it.
Theres no point to have a number to determinate your skill if you can't see if it goes up or down after a match. THAT'S BASIC INFORMATION so you can at least imagine what you did right or wrong.
Name any game, ANY GAME that has a ranking number that isn't displayed to the player.
IMO, Ranking doesn't have any place in DBD because it's not a competitive game. Do you want people to play sweaty and competitive? Give them a separate ranked matchmaker. I also don't know a single game that has a ranked match maker that doesn't have a public one.
Well you opened the door when you said name any game that doesn't doesn't show the ranking number 😂
I know 1 game we all know, and that is dbd 😜😂
That is if you mean the MMR añd not the grades tho, as grades are useless now.
On your comment on that dbd isn't competitive.
When playing dbd you get match with people of the same ranking (i mean the mmr here which they don't show), which already makes it competitive.
Another fact that dbd is competitive.
When you place 2 teams against each other, you create a competition.
Don't get me wrong here as you can disagree all you want, but that is the truth.
No matter how you look at it, 2 teams competing against each other is a competition.
And that makes dbd a competitive game, even if you play it casual it's still remains a competition 😉

First time playing against Pig today and I don't know if I should be impressed or not. Since it's on the RPD map and all the bear traps got removed on the last box so I don't know if they decreased the chances on the trap getting remove.
It was some massive delay on the game lmao and after the bear trap was gone, still had to find Ruin in the map and it was too late really generators started getting worked on but 2 guys was on death hook already. Was this the solution all along to early game where RNG says "Yeah your first chase ends in 1-3 generators getting popped" ?
So what do people think about this who use Pig a lot or go against this Pig with these add ons?
Have been going against her 2 times now with that add on and i gotta say, I'm not impressed.
But tbh having a bear trap on never really did much to me, i just do a gen and then i go search for it to get it off.
I believe both times i got it on first try tho.

It's only killer i don't like to go against and my biggest issue about him is how easy it is to run all over with 150% and find survivors. Like even 8 years old child can manage it and there are no downsides in it.
I think the wraiths i face wants to have a word with you 😂
He's pretty easy to go against imo.
There's only a few times i can't escape against him, and that has mostly to do with me messing up. 😅

How is he not fun to fight?
He's imo pretty weak as all you have to do is break line of sight and zig zag a little.
Personally i would change him that you have to remove blades and there's no decrease on you until you've done that.
And an idea about his main event is something Tru3talent said, give him 1 blade in his main event but make it an insta down.
You miss or hit your knife and your main event ends.
More fun imo

I learned early. I play on console and have my settings so I can only receive messages from friends, and I ignore friend requests that come in while playing DBD. It's a lonely but largely stress free life, lol.
Hahaha i just leave it open as i don't care if i get salty messages, i find that just hilarious when i get them.
Tho i play only survivor now for the time being, it has become very quiet.
Tho i had had 1 message from a salty killer saying F you and your F ing friends.
He was salty that he just faced really good survivors, i always play solo so this was fun to see that he thought i was in a swf 😅
Just to be clear, I'm not someone who plays toxic whatsoever.
As survivor no matter how someone else plays i never t bag, flashlight click, etc.
And as killer i always go for fresh hooks and try to get 12 hooks.
So when i get messages it's just funny because they never seem to accept their loss 😂

SBMM is such a joke. I made a previous post about this, but I rarely play killer as it is. Despite this I'm constantly being destroyed from survivors in SBMM (which highlights just how ridiculously bad the MMR is). And the sad truth is, whenever I look for help, all this community says is the typical "git gud", and "baby killer", which is so helpful. Playing as the killer has never felt more punishing and sweat inducing than in any game I've played in recent memory. Survivors should fear the killer, but all I keep encountering are well coordinated survivors body blocking, and getting the hell out of dodge when they know that I'm anywhere near thanks to SWF. SWF is so unbelievably broken in this game, and there is no perk the killer has that can equally counter that.
How can I possibly learn to get better at a game when the most helpful advice is, "just grin and bear it"? I shouldn't have to induce hours upon hours of grinding before the game eventually gets fun. I realize that there's a learning curve to every game, but I'm just not having fun anymore. The power role is most certainly not the killer anymore, and is it any wonder why so many DBD streamers are looking forward to VHS?
I made a poll about this topic as well to see how many people enjoy killer since sbmm.
But the same for me, ever since sbmm all i got were sweat fest matches.
Don't get me wrong as i don't mind to sweat, but sweating game after game after game is getting annoying as hell.
Trying new build or just a bit or something is just not a possibility anymore.
I used to play both sides, slightly more killer than survivor, but now i just switched to survivor for the time being.

Yeah i know and i agree, there should be a harsh punishment for these things.
I too hate it when it happens, so i just go and rush through the gens and get out asap and in to the next.
But a punishment for being afk should definitely happen.

Devs in this game really make me question their knowledge of the actual gameplay every patch.
They don't.
They balance the game to their own incompetence instead of listening to the higher level of players.
If they don't like something or have a problem with something, they'll change it.
It's not wrong to change to your liking, but unfortunately it can ruin the game, which in this game it's actually happening.

Behavior hand holds survivors.
they can have up to 16 perks. Mainly consisting of meta when you're high Mmr...
It's ######### boring to keep facing a same team that just don't do anything but hold W and never mindgames at all..
All the While, your gens got rushed to #########, ruin got cleansed 15 seconds in, aaaaaand just ggez all around...
######### mmr.. hope it dies out soon so it can go back to the good ol days
They definitely do indeed, i have absolutely no fear when i get chased whatsoever.
And that actually is something you should have if you're survivor, the fear you might not get out and actually have to work for it to escape.
Unfortunately the have said that sbmm is staying, which just shows how dumb and ignorance they actually are.

I see where you get the idea that i justify the afk persons, i clearly missed to place the word "real" in the first sentence.
The afk people are not the real problem is what it should've been, my mistake for doing 2 things at the same time and not reading before posting.
But yeah i don't justify it at all, my point is that more people are doing it because of the sbmm.

Everyday I'm getting a lot of killers and survivors just AFK. The frequency is no joke too I have never seen the game get this much AFK players throughout the years.
And these guys aren't getting punished for it. It's not fun for the unfortunate people in the match and they have their time wasted. I don't know if In game reporting does anything since I'm pretty sure it's just a blanket to comfort people and use it to vent.
No leniency. Suspend them for a whole day and escalate from there.
Personally i wouldn't say the afk people are the problem, the real problem is the dumb sbmm which they should've never put in this game.
You had afk persons with the old matchmaking but that was indeed less than you have now.
Unfortunately bhvr rarely listen to the community and just do whatever they want, even if it means destroying the game.
If they had said we will test sbmm for a few months and will see if it works or not, and actually listen to what the people say during that time.
If it doesn't work or the majority of the people think it should not be in this game, than they should remove it.
But unfortunately they said the implemented sbmm and that it is gonna stay 🤦🏻♂️

I don't see any other possibility to have a winning chance in this game anymore.
3 gen strat gets broken by Prove Thyself / Built to Last Toolbox in less than 50 seconds.
Hooking more than 2 different survivors will get me nothing when the gens pop up in 5 minutes. Split damage, hit n run is dumpstered by Circle of Healing. Mass slugging never works because someone always has Unbreakable, and survivors can reset under CoH in 10 seconds. Dead Hard robbing me of precious seconds, DS/BT respect.
I started running Noed on every m1 killer, Pop/Corrupt always mandatory. Cant run BBQ simply because i have no time to traverse a map to find a survivor i havent hooked yet. It feels like killers have less and less options to be viable in this game.
Im really glad that they nerfed keys, but god damn i feel like playing killer is getting worse over time. Seriously, CoH was a mistake. BHVR should tone it down a bit, but also do something with base gen regression. Things like 5% regression apply when the generator is kicked, and base regression is increased by 50%. Small careful changes that will make killers life a little easier. Mangled with its 20% slowdown is outdated, when all new survivor healing perks have 100% increasement.
Im afraid that if BHVR keeps this trend of giving overbuffed perks for survivors, the only killers left in this game will be 3 blink Nurses with Noed and 3 slowdowns.
I feel your pain.
I've played a lot of killer until sbmm was implemented, after that it was just a sweat fest after sweat fest after sweat fest after sweat fest.
Now i don't mind to try hard, but every single game is getting boring to me, especially as you said that gens pop like crazy.
I can't run anything other than meta perks, if I want to try and do a different build then the game is already over before it even started.
So I just switched to survivor for the time being, when they get rid of the ######### sbmm then i might return to killer again, cause right now it's just no fun anymore.

I've been playing DbD for over 5 years, and i've always had a great time with it. I've played Killer, i've played Survivor, i've played one more than the other sometimes, but it's been fun overall.
But ever since the update.. it's just been constant nerf after nerf for killers. They just can't stop! Every single update, just tearing us down more and more and more. We haven't even gotten a single, tiny, solitary buff, but the devs just love Survivors and keep giving them incredible godly powers every update, while we fight for the tiniest scraps that we never get.
So that's it. I'm quitting DbD. And i'm staying gone until every one of my Killer brothers and sisters follows me, one unionized whole, part of a greater axis for change, so we can take back DbD from the survivor-gripped clutches of BHVR and make it ours once more.
We'll change this game for the better, killers.
..or.
Nothing's going to happen. I'll work myself up into a subdued rage on the forums, curse BHVR and those damn survivors for taking over everything. I'll call to unionize us poor killers to take it all back.
Then i'll boot up DbD again. As will everyone who voted up my post.
And i'll do pretty alright. At least, until my one bad game-- then it's back to the forums.
And 'round and 'round she goes.
Just do like me and just play just survivor for the time being.
Been playing since day 1 on playstation about 70% killer, and ever since they implemented sbmm all i got were sweat fest after sweat fest after sweat fest, etc.
So i decided to just stay on the survivor side for the time being.
Maybe if more people would do that they will see an sudden increase in survivor and a decrease in killers.
And who knows, maybe they will open their eyes for once.
Tho getting to know bhvr over the years, i don't think they will.

Ever since they implemented sbmm, the experience of the game has gone downhill for me. At first, my games were mostly chill and I was having fun. Now, its stressful. As a killer, you have to be one of three killers with the strongest perks, or you will struggle to get two hooks. Slowdowns don't do much, as games still last a collective five minutes, and the buff to BTL doesn't help with that when everyone runs good toolboxes. You pretty much have to camp, slug, and tunnel if you want to get anywhere, and all that does is get salt with slurs thrown your direction all the time. And survivor is just as bad now. You have to be a swf all running meta perks at this point to get by. Abd forget about solo que. Something about that screws matchmaking up so bad, that I face killers with 6000 hours, while my teammates have a combined 20 hours. This system of matchmaking was a mistake. You have to run meta perks, aka the same boring builds everyone else uses, or you just won't have a good match. I have had the game for two years, and I am finally considering just leaving DBD, like many others have. Have the devs just not gotten the hint with all the players that have left, including several of the "big name" streamers? The game is too unbalanced for a system like this. Video games shouldn't be stressful. If they really want sbmm, they should revert it and focus on balancing the game before reimplementing it. I guess now I'm hoping VHS will provide a better experience and live up to the hype.
Till a certain point i do agree with you.
It became a sweat fest after sweat fest after sweat fest after sweat fest for killer, that's the reason i completely stopped playing killer for the time being.
Maybe if more people will do that, they might open their eyes, just maybe tho.
But as survivor i play soloq ever since day 1 on playstation and have absolutely no problem with it.
It is still chill for me and still escape most of my matches.

Since that update all the developers seem to care about is the Survivors. Almost every new Survivor perk is amazing (as they should be) but some killer powers and perks seem to fall flat. Take the newest additions to the DBD cast. Ceno and the Witch girl. Ceno has cool perks, but his power feels so janky that no one seems to use it. While this new Survivor has a skill that can basically instantly heal her or her fellow survivors in 3 seconds with a med kit.
It also doesn’t help that most killers either get reworked so weirdly that it feels like a nerf (My opinion on Doctor) or never get the good reworks they need, like Trapper or Legion. Yet they will buff all the survivors equipment so they can “counter the killer”. You shouldn’t “counter the killer”, you need to put play the killer.
I know some Survivor mains will call me salty or stupid, but I just can’t handle this game being this lopsided. Especially when I’m playing against a 4 stack of PC players who can spin and turn fast enough to break Blights knees.
I do hope in a few months I can return to DBD, but as of now I think it’s a lost cause. I’ll miss all the cool Survivors I’ve met though. Wish more people would act like them.
Edit: “Winning” for me was either having a good time or getting at least a 2K. Anything beyond that is a bonus. I’m not as crazy as some people are who only care about 4Ks
Or do just like I did.
I've been playing since day 1 on playstation and was mostly playing killer like about 70/30.
Because it's the most fun imo.
For me playing survivor is easy and escape most of my game, don't get me wrong i still enjoy it tho especially getting chased as long as possible.
But ever since they implemented sbmm, all i got was sweat fest after sweat fest after sweat fest after sweat fest, etc.
Playing killer with a fun or meme build was out of the question as the gens go so fast that the game was already over before it even got started.
I don't mind to sweat from time to time tho but not every single game, and I'm not 1 who goes for kills but for hooks, something sbmm doesn't allow that once you get to the higher level.
So I was like F that i will switch sides for a long time, never thought that that day would come tbh.
But for the time being i will play survivor only, and I'm pretty sure the devs will notice that, if more killers do that, there is a sudden increase of survivor players and a decrease of killer players.
Maybe, just maybe, they will open their eyes and realize that the devs are the real killers of the game

Yup i definitely remember 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yeah that's a great example of tension going in the wrong direction. Boons appear to make the game more tense for killer and much less so for survivor.
That in essence isn't great design overall. I'm not saying survivors shouldn't have strong perks but boons feel a bit of an overreach for just how much they make it possible to nearly ignore the threat of injury or being found, for the whole team.
Indeed and the whole team knows where boons are placed and can just run there if being chased and disappear again.
1 thing the devs really didn't pay attention to is when shadow step is place at a section that has a upper or down level, like a house or a double layered map like the game map, at those spots it will be the worst place for killer to be chasing someone.
The devs sold it as a little safe haven for survivors to have but clearly haven't thought things through as how it will negatively affect the killer.
I can understand as it was shown a lot of time the devs themselves aren't that great at the game at all, which is fine btw, but they don't ask the good players who really understand the game (lime the tournament players or well know streamers that are really good) what the best way is to balance this game or how to get this game in the right direction.
They are just like "i don't like this or that so we are gonna change that to make it easier for me" but never think about any consequentions of what might happen.
They're just like the Joker from the dark knight "do i seem like a guy with a plan?" And "I just do things"

@LuckyLucy1999 said:
I'm wondering if they do in fact play their own game, as they can't honestly think that the current state of the game is in any way healthy.
The balancing in this game is all over the place and gets worse with each new killer/survivor or update. Boons for example. Why did survivors need these in the first place? How is it ok that they can bless a hex and that is is gone but if the killer snuffs out a boon they can just bless it again. Perks and killers constantly being buffed/nerfed, ruining perfectly fine killers in the process. Clearly some perks are too strong (NOED) but they never get nerfed, yet the wraith gets a nerf for seemingly no reason.
Who is their "balancing" aimed at? The core players who play the game all the time or the Twitch TV crowd.
How about the rampant tunneling and camping from killers which IMHO opinion has increased massivly since the new matchmaking was introduced. The devs can't honestly think that being tunneled out of the game within the first few minutes is a fun experience for survivors. I mean tunneling has always been a thing but the last few months it has increased massively. If I was to start this game today as a new player and was being tunneled out of the game every game, how long do you think I would stick with this game?
I know there is no realistic way to combat camping but surely the devs can come up with some solution to discourage tunneling survivors out of the game.
This is of course only my opinion (with maybe a little salt) but I've played this game for 3 years and used to love it, but the way killers play now makes being a survivor unfun and the way survivors play makes being a killer unfun.
Tbh i don't care if I'm getting tunneled, i enjoy getting chased as that is the most fun part of the game.
I highly doubt you get tunneled every game unless you purposely try to annoy the killer every game.
How is NOED to strong?
It's a perk that only can activate at the end of the match, that is if your luck.
There is such an easy way to counter that, and that's just do bones or just get out.
Don't come with me that it is hard for a SoloQ player, because that is absolute bs as i only play solo and it barely activates.
If you think cleansing a dull totem is pointless because the killer might not even have it and you rather sit on gens, than imo you have no right to complain about it.
I play this game since day 1 it came on ps4 and the only i have started to find unfun to play is killer side at the higher level.
Put in shadow step in the game with good survivors and it's basically game over for the killer.

Everytime I play survivor the game gets less scary.
It was an all survivor day today, except for a few trapper rounds at the end, and I found myself unfazed by the thought of being injured or seen by aura reading perks.
There was once a tension about killers hooking someone, if they had BBQ you could be seen and hunted next so you hide your aura as best you can and hope you don't get spotted. Now I just sit in the boon radius and I don't even have to stop doing a gen.
Same goes for the healing boon, had several matches tonight where we kept two healing boons up and basically never really had to be worried about being injured. Killers have to drop chase to pressure gens so often that you are back at full health in seconds.
Its watered down the tension factor and yet again it feels like as survivor you have less and less to fear from getting injured and downed or even found.
I don't think they are a good idea in their current state.
Soon there is only going to be survival and no horror, in this survival horror game.
EDIT - before someone says "the more you play the less scary it gets". Obviously... but tension can also build fear and be scary. Tension in this game comes from the threat of being eliminated, that threat has to be extreme or there is no tension and thus no scare factor. Boons in their current state grossly undermine this.
Yup i found the game way less scarier the more i played it.
I love getting chased so i always make sure i know the tiles as well as possible to run the killer as long as possible, and with shadow step this can last really long as you can constantly disappear into thin air for the killer.
And yes i do use them both and can tell you that when more people use it in the match the more annoying it will get for the killer, it counters a very important aspect for the killer as tracking is much needed for them.
Was in a game with me and 2 others who were using both perks and all were placed close to strong loops, the amount of time you got away from the killer was just ridiculous.
The only thing that will scare me with this game is what the future boons are gonna be.

If my screen says I got away then I should get away. If your screen says you got a hit that's wrong.
You do realize how stupid this argument sounds right?
I'm not saying you mean it this way but this is how it sounds to me.
"Whatever I see on my screen is always right no matter what"
Or simply said "I'm always right and you're always wrong"
Your ping could be worse than from the killer and when it looks on your screen that you were save, because you're ping was actually worse than the killers ping you weren't save at all.
This goes the other way around as well btw.
Again, it might not be the way you meant it to sound, but it definitely sounds like that. ✌️

Is it really bug I know a killer can turn around or look up to avoid it, but what I dont get is when I sometimes throw it and get killer blind message and either A the killer is still chasing me apparently not affected by it or I throw it on point as they picking up the survivor but the survivor dont get dropped even though message pop killer blinded.
Like shenlong said.
I can chase survivor easily when I'm blinded, i just follow the sound they make.
Like grunts of pain, movement sound kike footsteps or grass than makes sound when walking through, etc.
So it's not that strange if a killer is still chasing you.

If 1 person dc's right at the beginning and 2 people brought bloodpointofferings for everyone, maybe consider not tunneling, camping and slugging people. With 0 gens done, ruin up, on a map (midvich) that you decided to go to. With you having good perks and add ons, when those survivors don't even bring 1 meta perk.
For those about to complain: No I don't expect someone to farm, I don't want to farm. BUT one can play differently in a 3 vs 1. Be respectful, don't tunnel/camp. Give survivors at least a chance to get some points. Just behave like a feeling, empathic human being, it's all I ask (if that isn't true for you, just play as if you posessed those qualities, like an actor).
Tbh I wish the devs would punish tunneling and camping in 3 vs 1's when bp offerings were brought. Like there is NO acceptable reason to play that disgustingly selfish if you are already having an advantage.
🤣🤣
Chill down, it's only a video game there are far worst things out there.
If you don't like how someone plays then just suck it up and move on to the next match, there are always people who dislike a certain playstyle.
Or if you get this worked up over a video game then maybe just take a little break and just play something else.
It's way better for your physical and mental health if you get this worked up about it.
It's just a little advice and not trying to be mean, toxic or whatever you wanna call it. ✌️

See's that's what annoys me a lot. They nerf Undying cause it can be used a lot and don't get me wrong needing to cleanse 5 totems for it to go away is dumb. But then they proceed to do the same thing for survivor but rather then 5 times it's literally infinite and on top of that there can be 4 active at the same time.
They are definitely hypocrites cause a killer is not allowed to have fun like survivors can have.
Tho about the old undying i personally think it was fine as it was, the only thing that they should have removed was the aura reading and it was in a good state.
Yes if you were very very unlucky you needed 5 totems to cleanse it, but that was something which very rarely happened to me.
It was gone most of the time after 3 totems max, so imo there was nothing wrong with it.
But yeah the majority decides what gets buffed and what gets nerfed here unfortunately, whether it is a valid nerf/buff or not.

Not unless there's a squad running them. They're so easy to stomp and the range is too small for them to be able to be used conveniently. They're by no means weak, but in a solo situation the trade off isn't worth it.
Honestly there stronger than you might think in solo.
Been in several games where i was using both, and always close to loops where it breaks line of sight.
It didn't only save me on multiple occasions but even my teammates as they knew where to run when being chased and they lost him pretty quick.
Was even in a match where 2 other survivors were also using both boon perks, don't have to mention what a pain it was for the killer.
I believe that killer even got max 3 hooks that game.
And it's not that the totems were in plain sight or anything, he had the option to stop chasing and snuff it and then hoping to be lucky enough to find the survivor again quickly, or continue the chase and hope you can keep track of the chased survivor.
If the snuff a totem, me or another survivor was close enough to bless it again, making him lost the chase because he snuff the boon and it was back up before he knew it.
And all that while gens just kept going and the killer was just for ed to tunnel 1 survivor to stand a chance.
Imo boons should've never happened because the time a killer has is slim already and it gives them just another objective for some reason.
But as they will not remove them, then there is definitely something to be looked at.

Yeah, BHVR are slow, we know this. Not sure where you're getting the idea that they're survivor biased from this- just because they did Mori's first, I guess?
By a quote they used during a Q&A.
Think they nerfed spirit, nurse or billy not sure which one it was.
They said "now we changed that killer I was thinking, who do i hate playing against also? That's right, that will be doctor"
So yeah they made it clear they are definitely survivor biased and they made more comments tho, but this one sticked with me.

I just watched clips of Dead Hard's Validation Hit and it's a shame on BHVR's part that it's laughing at mains killers.
First BHVR destroyed Deathslinger and now this, yes, I can say that the Validation Hit has the priority depending on the dedicated servers, how is it possible that when BHVR makes changes, they prioritize the survivors more than the killers.
Really my anger was reflected for the first time in the Validation Hit of the pallets and now with Dead Hard it is a total Crap, I just saw a Spanish streamer called ReudigRuediger where he played with Trapper and saw that when he hit the survivor, he shot Dead Hard and I did not leave him dying, in fact the killer slowed down, which gives me an absolute rage that every day this game is sinking into ######### and they have to get licenses to continue existing.
I just hope that Propnight, VHS, Charlie The Legend and some future Leatherface or Michael Myers game by Gun Media will destroy this game alive so you know how a balanced game should be handled well. Not making it worse.
See it like this.
You have a few killers and a sh1tload of survivors.
So keeping a few killers happy or about maybe 80% of dbd who are survivor?
That is the reason there's a huge amount cosmetics for survivors as they bring in the most money, they don't want to see them go because killers get stronger, that way they lose to much money 😉

Another way to say: stalk till 99% to the point that you can just tap M2 within Lunge distance of T3 so you don't waste any Evil.
It also means that the experience that good Survivors have with a good Myers is him only ever reaching T3 while they are literally on their arse, and there isn't really any "chase" if you're the first Survivor to be downed in this manner:
Mikey stalks to 99% (cusp of T3), gets close to a Survivor, pops T3, doens them, Hooks or slugs that first Survivor while in T3, and then the next Survivor is the one that experiences a "chase" against Myers in T3.
Aaaaah why didn't you say that in the first place? 😂
Yeah it's something i always do when i play normal Myers, sure sometimes on accident i pop it to early but i wait till I'm close, pop T3 and then down.
That is indeed the best way to play him and when you vs him you should always keep that in mind, and trying to not be in an unsafe place.

I think everyone should be playing the way they want.
If a killer wants to try har even when people dc, then it's their right to do so.
If a survivor wants to gen rush then they could.
Just play your game the way you want and don't tell other people how to play their game 😉✌️

I'm sorry I'm really confused. Why does he need a nerf? He's pretty easy to go up against and fun to play against. (At least with my friends since we bet who's gonna get tombstoned) but all you really need to do is break line of sight. I could get that scratched mirror on indoor maps can get annoying but that's really it imo.
I think this person is pretty new to the game and complains about something they don't understand.
Myers is pretty easy so go against cause you can deny his powers pretty long.
And even scratch mirror Myers you can counter easily, you just need to listen to his breathing which is very load.
But you always have people who either play to cocky or ignore the fact to break line of sights.
Even with this build i shouldn't have been able to pull it off, yet I did because they didn't play it smarter.

But ruin doesn't work on blocked gens despite regressing them.
You sure?
I'm pretty sure that when ruin is up and say a survivor is downed at the other side of the map, you let go of the gen just before he gets picked up and blocks your gen it still continue to regress.
-
@Bwsted said:
No, it won't work.
Think of entiity blockers on gens as something that freezes them in time. Their state won't change until the blockers go away, e.g. no regression, no repairing, no damaging.
When a survivor is downed within the range of a gen that is or was worked on, it explodes and starts regressing.
Untill it is touch by a survivor to stop the regresion, it will keep regressing even if the survivor is picked up which activates tremors to block it.
-
@casual_nick said:
Quick Explanation of the perks first.
Jolt - When a survivor is put into a dying state gens within 32 meters to lose 8% and continue to regress afterwards. Thrilling Tremors - When a survivor is picked up all generators that are not being repaired are blocked by the entity.
So is it possible for Jolt to continue to regress gens while Thrilling Tremors is active?
Let me know.
Yes it will unless a survivor touched it before you picking up the survivor.
Basically the same with ruin, the gen keeps regressing while tremors is active
-
@dallasmedicbag said:
he's basically a ranged killer just like trickster, huntress and deathslinger, yet his movement speed is 115%. in tier 3, he moves at the exact same speed as survivors so he can literally just hold it down while chasing and the range of that tentacle is crazy, not to mention the fact that you could just drag it if you miss it.
he's an extremely easy killer to play (well, maybe trickster is easier) if you understand his hitbox.
A range killer like deathslinger, huntress and trickster?
