Love how survivors call killers toxic. Most games the survivors are the scumbags. The constant teabagging, body blocking hooks, and the clicky click get old.
Had a swf all with modded flashlights take turns blinding me. Then call me toxic for slugging them.
Clicking also doesn't stop gameplay. Annoying yeah but compared to body blocking and facing. I'm not saying survivors aren't toxic, been sandbagged by my own team A TON and the full flashlight team should have a limit per team. Like honestly dude I play killer more BECAUSE of other survivors.
That doesn't mean I shouldn't be calling out toxic behaviours. I just want to play the game when I choose survivor, shouldn't have to get 5 bad matches of facers and sluggers when we ARE NOT being toxic to get one where I actually play the game. But come on it TAKES FOREVER to get in a match as killer too.

Teabagging doesn't stop gameplay. But lets talk about body blocking from survivors, 100% would not mind if they penalized that too.
Face camping is the problem because it stops gameplay and defeats the whole purpose of the chase mechanics. It should be fixed since they were able to keep survivors from holding still (crows) and stopped over-vaulting.
Same thing for face campers and survivors who body block. You shouldn't be that close to the killer unless they chased you anyways.

This post is so sad lol. Camping, tunneling and slugging aren't "fun" but that doesn't mean it should be nerfed. Look at Deathslinger, he's dead now because he was "unfun" smh the entitlement
Ignoring that I said tunneling and proxy camping are valid. Face campers are not, that's not entitlement that's expecting to be able to play the game.
So unless you face camp whole games you have literally no reason to be here. But then again so many have claimed they don't do it but still argue it's not over used.
Vaulting was overused and got blocked, same should apply to facing killers because that's not playing the game.
-
Nope just want to play the game.
Penalize hook facers that do nothing but hold up the game and take it under control.
Hands down this game is way more fun as the killer and people not even chasing in favor of abusing game mechanics? lmfao come on dude that's not playing.
No one HAS to play as a survivor but we need them to play killers sooo you lost all the ground you were standing on again.

You cannot sit in one spot for extended periods of time? Euhm... ever done a gen? 80 seconds of sitting still.
Like I literally just got out of a game where the killer got someone into the basement at 4 gens, camped the basement and snowballed that into a 4k. I helped one other member to get the unhook before they died, I traded and was now hanging on the hook... my team healed and reset, then messed up horribly... but it happens.
Just because you do not like the tactic doesn't mean it isn't valid.
Pffttt the killer knows where the gens are. I never said survivors weren't toxic, but clicking and crouching too much aren't stopping you or me from being a killer. Hook facing and slugging on the other hand does and makes zero sense for a game based on chase. It should be penalized again like the vaulters and people who ger crows over their head like the abuse of game it is.

Yeah, devs have been addressing it for over 5 years now. They're fine with it. It's something you have to deal with. And after you deal with it, there will be a lot more you'll have to deal with. That's Dead By Daylight for you. The frustration's just getting started.
If this is the hill you want to die on, this games probably not for you.
Ok so they should be addressing it again and that's why me and all the other people annoyed with not getting to play are doing. It's not a hill to die on its feedback and still should be penalized.

No seriously I read it too. Whats the rule?
There is none being broken. The point of the whole post was that facers who slug hooked people the whole game and hijack it SHOULD be penalized
since survivors can't hold still or over vault. I even said in the post that no rules were broken but I had dealt with it so much that it made playing pointless and no fun as a survivor. Facing the whole game isn't playing and it is 100% hijacking other people's game to control it.
And to reiterate people in this comment section all say they don't do it but are arguing for it to be used in a game breaking way so.

I think like two people agreed with you.
The playerbase obviously doesn't agree.
The facts aren't on your side either. All you have is your own opinion. Stop trying to force it on everyone else.
Only it's not just two people. These forums are rife with posts just like this one but nice try.
Facing while slugging a whole game should be penalized the same way vaulters and survivors who hold still too long get penalized.

Survivors can penalize it, by doing gens going for trades before they go through hook stages and making the killer lose. Additionally they already take a penalty to BP gained and an emblem system.
Your response just showcases that you have no answer and just want free unhooks against any killer. Just because you don't like the hanging on hook game play, because yes... that is part of the survivors gameplay.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2567242#Comment_2567242
You are then just as toxic, denying the killer hooks at the start of the game. There is nothing toxic about it and you trivialize the word... because you don't like the tactic your opponent uses in the game. Just because people use tactics you don't like facing doesn't make them toxic.
You aren't being held hostage, as being on the hook is part of the game play and has a cap of 2 mins. Just because you don't like this part of the game doesn't make it not part of the gameplay loop. Dangling on the hook is part of being a survivor.
If they are unskilled, you can actually save your teammate, use BT learn to time it and get them off it. Just realize you don't need to save 1 second after they get unhooked. Then they can body block for you, get a sprint burst and you both should be able to get to a loop. Stop bombing the hook, stop tailing the killer and go do some gens... put pressure on the killer, then save, either land on the hook and have your team do the same. Play to win the game instead of whine about having to be on hook as a survivor.
You are mad that you are getting killed and that your opponents tactic is working out for them. You twist definitions and only care about your own perspective without any consideration of the facts. By your own accord these tactics are sometimes required... yet should not be possible, how hypocritical and entitled.
Being on hook is just as much gameplay as being on a gen, you are in one spot and hitting skill checks. You must hate your teammates when they can loop the killer for 5 gens, because you are denied to play the game and have to do that for 4 to 5 mins straight.
They can't more often thab not and it still hijacks a game for one or more people who are actually trying to play iy. Unhooking is apart of the game. Chasing is apart of the game. Killing is apart of the game. Standing there staring is no and should be penalized as the abuse it is.
Survivors can't hold still for too long eiher on that note lol
Penalize facers and sluggers who do only that the whole game.

I have so goodbye to the ground you was just tryna stand on. I enjoy killer and wouldn't face someone a whole game because I still think it takes no skill. And also if you had taken time to actually read the issue is facers thag slug the whole match. The whole match. That is toxic and takes advantage of game mechanics so the killer can completely hijack one or more survivors. Toxic and has no place and it should be penalized.

They are not stopping people from playing, as being on the hook is part of the game play loop of survivors. You have the ability to try an unhook, not advisable and you will get skill checks to hit to extend your time on the hook. The fact that it isn't the most fun part of being a survivor is irrelevant, your feelings of that part of the game play is not a definition.
Vaults can be abused if you know how to chain links and use them. Limitations are placed on you, just like skilled survivors can unhook even in the face of a killer. Once again, you are not being objective... go watch some competitive level survivors and see how they deal with it, because guess what camping is part of the competitive scene. Face camping is mainly successful based on the actions of the survivors!
If you are talking about hag, you realize she is a defensive killer right... that places traps around to defend pressure points, which includes hooks and setups a web. To be honest this sounds more like you have no idea how to play against a hag, she plays very differently and yes is very territorial and defensive by nature. Learn to crouch, flash lights to disarm her traps, trigger them when she is locked in animations, actions or unable to come toward you and learn to trigger, 180 turn and run.
You can act like a single game, a single anecdotal evidence isn't a reflection of the actual balance. You claim she didn't know you were there, yet you are unable to know. Sound, Scratch marks or even simply being paranoid can make people act in specific ways.
The hypocrisy is so transparent, you go like the sabotage tactic is because the tactic used by killers. Killers camp and tunnel based on the balance of the game and securing kills is one of the best ways to win. You claim to care about preventing others from playing the game, while your actions are trying to prevent the killer to play their game loop.
Why do I argue in favor of being able to do it? Simple; Sometimes it is a necessity if you want to stand a chance as a killer. End-game camping is literally the only good move. Getting free unhooks is really not warranted and defending the hook is part of the game. It can already be punished if people know what to do, the suggestions people make to resolve this will negatively impact others and be abused by survivors against people that don't face camp! Survivors at decent-good skill levels are already at an advantage, they really don't need a free buff because new and less skilled players are unable to deal with it. So... if you have a valid solution feel free to share, but you have to consider all situations that can occur and how it doesn't hurt killers and giving away all their pressure for free!
Btw. I guess you hate survivors that run the killer for 5 gens! All other survivors can only do gens, sit there in one spot and hit skill checks... they are stopping all gameplay for others, how toxic? The killer isn't having fun either, imagine...
You keep saying end game and ignoring the ones that do it the whole time, ya know the ones I'm talking about. Which they do at high rates or i wouldn't be here nor multiple other OPs with this same issue. That is not valid gameplay and pretending it is sounds like a toxic unlearning process you need to learn. Vaulters are punished. So should facer killers because its repetitive and controls the game.

Well it's not going to change at least significantly. The devs have stated they want to keep both as strategies
And the player base is saying that's not working. Toxic is toxic and it has no place when people should be allowed to play without being stuck on hooks with facers the whole game.

It's toxic and has no place according to you, not by the game or by the devs.
Pretty much every multiplayer game in existence has campers. It shouldn't surprise you.
At this point, it's very clear you want killers to play in a very specific way that favors your own playstyle so you can get easier games since you literally are incapable of adjusting your gameplay if killers play in a manner you don't like.
And it has nothing to do with my play style and everything to do with being able to play the game.
Toxic gameplay makes it not fun for other players and that has been proven time and time again so it should be penalized as such.

That is true and in every game it's not allowed because it controls gameplay. Saying it doesn't just because devs do doesn't help your case when it needs to change. Toxic behaviour like facing a whole game deserves to be penalized in the same way that survivors get penalized.

Why is it even possible to block someone? Survivor to survivor at that, and you can see there would be plenty of room to get by for a sane normal person but not in this game.
Really, I have paid for stupid outfits, got DLCs, drained nearly 1k hours into the game and been rank 1 for both survivor and killer, and this is BY FAR the stupidest and easier mechanic to fix to help reduce the seemingly limitless amount of toxicity in this game.
This needs to change in the next update.
Ahhh yes, this is something they shouldn't allow at all along with hook facers who do it the whole game. It's toxic and I've seen survivors do it to killer, but it's actually agaisnt the rules for survivors but not killers so idk. Their rules are backwards and encourages toxicity from both sides when neither should be allowed.

If slugging wasn't intended, then the devs would make it so a killer would immediately pick up a survivor when he downs them.
You are claiming something is being abused and against the rules, but there's absolutely no evidence besides you being upset that killers are doing.
And while unhooking is part of the game, at no point are survivors required to unhook you.
There's plenty of evidence that you choose to ignore. Like how specifically it's toxic and has no place in multiplayer games. I'm still talking about facers and slug spammers because they do derail the game and take control. They prevent unhooking which is apart of the game and do not participate in chasing if they are facing and slugging. That's not gameplay that's a lazy and easy kill based in toxic behavior that shouldn't be allowed. It SHOULD be penalized which is the whole point.

It's happening so often I wasn't even the newest post on this. No one is mad they get killed, you said that. Part of survivor gameplay is sometimes you can't do anything. Killers are not abusing anything by camping hooks or slugging survivors. That is part of their gameplay options. Getting mad and upset about how killers play because it reduces your odds of escaping is just entitlement.
Also, you aren't entitled to being unhooked. Your teammates can just let you die on the hook even if the killer doesn't camp.

Big difference between obnoxious spamming and counterable situations.
It's not denying play, it does limit your options after failing multiple aspects of survivor. It's up to teammates to overcome the situation, solo or swf.
How much you engage in the match is in your own hands as survivor. Completely on yourself to avoid the killer long enough to accomplish more than that first chase.
I find Slugging is no more restrictive than being hooked. Camping is the result of a survivor failing to win a chase and the killer using them as bait. The killer is risking gens in hopes that they can negate 2 more time consuming chases and lure in another survivor.
People keep saying it's detrimental snd I'm still saying it's veing used in a toxic way to a point that it's chasing a ton of players off. It derails the whole game when they find people at the start, which they do and can catch because killers are made for the chase. Also know they have perks to see people on the map because I've used it. The difference is I didn't run for someone so i could camp that hook. It does stop the game and you not playing that way is not the point. People ARE playing that way and it needs to be penalized.

Slugging is for pressure because you can't just chase into hook every game as you will lose if you don't play to the speed of the game.
No one is abusing anything. You are just getting upset over losing in a video game.
Pressure doesn't stop gameplay like facing and slugging the whole game does. It's broken that it's allowed and should be penalized for abuse just like survivors get blocked for vaulting too much.
It has nothing to do with upset and everything to do with wanting to play the game, choosing to ignore that for toxic gameplay is wholly a failing of your own. People are meant to get unhooked too. Controlling the game with facing and slugging is still defined as against the rules yet they are allowed when survivors can't do such things, (crows above the head, vaulting, etc) they should not be able to do it the whole match. Stay mad that your little privilege is being pointed out when it does not contribute to the game unless you count unskilled toxicity.

The window blocker only happens if you vault a window 3 times in the same chase. Resets if chase gets dropped. It really only exists to prevent infinites as killers are meant to catch survivors eventually.
You have anti slugging perk options if the Killer slugs and face camping can be dealt with by rushing gens.
If killers are made to catch then it's even worse that so many of them face while slugging people. That literally contradicts the point of the chase mechanic if they stay in one spot. Abuse is abuse when it makes the game harder to play and not in the competitive sense.

I appreciate the support and tbh that's how it will continue to go if we don't start actually pushing for it. I'm not looking for agreement, I'm looking for options and people willing to give their opinion on this when it gets abused the way it does.

Only they say come here if you disagree. And I do, as do many other people at least on facing because it breaks the game.
You can still say it should be changed but telling someone it is what it is doesn't work for me when facing has practically ruined the game. They stopped over vaulting then there is zero reason they can't do the same for facers.

So, you are toxic for sabotaging a hook? You are preventing the killer from hooking the survivor, which is playing the game? They are not blocking someone from playing, as being hooked and being there is part of the gameplay.
The killer most definitely is playing the game as well, as hooking a survivor and sacrificing them by those means to the entity is their goal.
It is a tactic which can be punished by the survivors. You however hook bomb into it and are around from the down... You are the one rewarding their strategy, instead of giving them some space, placing pressure on them by doing a generator and coordinating a save or trade later on.
You don't understand the meaning of actual toxicity and make claims that are false. Being on hook is part of the survivors game play, as in literally. The fact that the rules and the developers state it isn't reportable nor toxic.
By the logic you have, you are just as if not even more so toxic than the people you face...
You're not playing if you're stopping all gameplay for others. Which is what facing does. It's toxic and clearly didn't prevent anything lmfao It happens constantly and is the main reason public matches are quick and pitiful.
The same reason the vaults are not allowed to be abused is the same reason that facers should be penalized. It's being abused.
I clearly said she didn't even see me but you ignored that so i was not in fact "on top of her" and never do that because it irritates me when my own team does it. But nice way to try and gaslight to avoid the topic.
That sabotage tactic came BECAUSE they keep hook guarding and i used it the second I saw she was doing it and it did not work both because of the over trapping and the facing. That is a broken game mechanic we are supposed to be able to save other survivors. Toxic and needs to go. Trying to say I'm toxic when it never stops the killer is completely off the map. You just want so badly not to be penalized for something that is abused just because you claim you don't do it. It's still a problem bad enough to ruin the game and why are you arguing for it if you don't abuse it? Lol

If they go after a weak link then yes perks for tunneling are necessary.
If they go after a strong survivor then it will cost them to lose the game over it.
Yes the chances are big you will go down eventually, but that it means he will only get 1 and not 4.
It is very well possible you even escape if the rest of the team is also strong or competent.
Believe it or not, i enjoy if the killer goes after me it's more fun than sitting on the gen.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2565597#Comment_2565597
If hook guarding needs to go then you punish the killer more than you'll realize.
What if your team and the killer are both strong but he didn't get any kills yet?
So during egc he downs 1 of you and wants to secure his 1 and only kill 9f the match.
So if you punish hook guarding in any way, he'll get punished for his hard work even though the game was fair for both sides.
The only way you can punish the killer is how it is done now.
They get punished by being in the proximity of the hook when there's no survivor in a 16m radius.
And should 1 being facecamped early in the game then punish him by just pushing out the gens.
Sure maybe there's another survivor who might fall, but at least the rest can get out and he doesn't get a 4k
Only it isn't fair to the person who didn't get to play because there's many other ways to kill survivors. Ignoring gens popping for a kill isn't even playing when it takes thag long and they've been facing since the start of the match. Those are the problem and they are literally saturating the killers.
If vaulting is blocked for abuse then so should facing be.

The chance to play comes before the hook. It's on yourself to avoid, hide, repair, cleanse, and escape the killer before they can accomplish their goal of removing you. Once on the hook, you have already failed and the play time in your control is forfeit unless teammates give you another opportunity.
It's not denying the survivors a chance to play, it's ensuring the kill to alleviate time pressure and attain control. There is no reason for the killer to let you go and make the match more difficult for themselves.
It's also apart of the game to unhook other players and it still breaks the game in the same way over vaulting did. Toxic behaviour that is not playing when they can in fact find people right at the start of a match and DO use it to their advantage to keep that player from actually participating.
Vaulting got blocked when it was abused, so should slugging and facing.

I am not mad. As I stated earlier, I believe the survivors are the ones preventing you from playing the game. Not the killer.
I have never had an issue getting someone off a hook and I am about as bad at survivor as anyone could possibly get.
I just don't understand what you want. You argue face camping is a reportable offense, and now you are arguing they never punish for it, which implies that perhaps Pulsar was correct and it isn't a reportable offense. If you just want them to ban for it, I am afraid that will never happen and there is really no use in getting worked up about it.
Like, seriously, how many times to you encounter this? Lol.
Do you not know what thread you're in or what? The whole thing is about how they should be penalized for toxic behaviour.
Which is what face camping is because it hijacks the game.

Okay, then report them and watch as they get penalized. Totally.
You mean exactly why they need to fix it? Lol Rip because it's controlling the game and should be penalized for the toxic behaviour it is. Acting like it isn't because you wanna do it is your problem, it keeps people from playing. Stay mad at facts I guess lol

No it isn't. Do you really want me to get the link to the reportable offences page? They specifically say camping isn't reportable.
Define a long time. Obviously less than 3 years. You were completely unfamiliar with WHY Entity-blockers are a thing and no, it's not to stop Survivors from being toxic
You can get the link all you want, them allowing it is the problem BECAUSE it is controlling the game. Using the rules we want fixed because it's not encompassing killers who abuse it is moot. Stay mad it should be penalized and no amount of acrobatics can change it just because you wish it wasn't the case.

You just stated yourself that they are strategies that sometimes needs to be deployed. This showcases your entitlement, as you claim it is only to be used if rules 1, 2 and 3 have been met. That isn't how that works, if it is a requirement some times it means it can be used at any time that the killer believes it would benefit them. Who are you to dictate when it is or isn't a valid option?
You claim it stops someone from playing the game, but hanging on the hook is part of survivors gameplay. It is literally part of the game, it isn't the most engaging just as holding m1 on a generator... yet is it now toxic to do generators? You are sitting in one place and helping the team. If you hang on the hook and keep the killer busy, then you are contributing just the same.
What exactly do you do to ensure the killer has a fun game? You admit to try and deny them their first hook with flash lights and sabo setups, do you think that is fun for them? You are a hypocrite, only caring about your own fun... this is a PvP game, your opponents are not trying to make you have fun and they aren't toxic for trying to win. You think being looped for 5 gens is fun? You think losing 3 gens in the first chase is fun? Does that mean doing gens is toxic, looping is toxic... get out of here. People try to win games, they use tactics and that isn't toxic. If they are toxic, then you are as well!
Against the rules... you might want to read them, it actually states that it is allowed! They aren't denying you anything, if you don't like the survivors game play... don't play it. Look at your team to save you, don't try and dictate how your opponents should play to give you a higher chance of defeating them... how entitled can you be.
Toxic behaviour and it is blocking someone playing the game, reporting system itself defines it as against the rules then turns around ans allows it. If survivors get blocked from vaulting too much then so should kiklers when they face too much. Games are meant to be played and writing me a very long message that says nothing but "I support killers who don't really want to play" over and over.
It deserves to be penalized because it's the only one that actually goes against their own rules because it controls the game like devs say not to. Stay mad, still gonna rally for it to change because as I stated before it's toxic and has no place in gaming when it breaks it.

LMFAO ok dude keep acting like it's not the same but it is and it is toxic. Keeping someone from playing the game is still what is written in game reporting. They can do it to survivors and they defined it themselves then ignore it. You were planning to undermine me based off experience from the second you asked the first time then bent yourself into pretzels to still run face first into my point. Killers who face aren't penalized and that should change because it is broken like the vaulting was.

I'm not talking about proxy camping either, in fact I don't think proxy camping exists, adding the hook to your gen patrol is just smart, as you can probably guarentee at some point there will be two survivors at the hook, that's half your opponents, to just up and run away from that is foolish.
The point I was making is that it doesn't matter when or how someone may start to camp you its just silly to assume its malicious and to get upset about it.
It is kinda crummy to hang on the hook for your whole game, but I think the solution is rather than call for punisments and convoluted new game mechanics why not just compensate the person on hook.
Lets say a generous BP counter that keeps ticking upwards if the killer is within 10-20m of the hook while you hang on it, emblem points for distracting the killer if they spend longer than X in the radius of the hook so you aren't downgrading as a result of being camped.
This is an idea that really doesn't punish anyone it just rewards people for being camped.
Well it may punish in that it undermines those who might camp meliciously by generously rewarding those they are camping.
Checks a lot of boxes I reckon - rewards people being camped, isn't really exploitable to the detriment of the killer, doesn't have to radically change the game design.
Also I really don't care about campers and tunnelers. I've said it before it's frustrating but those aren't enough to keep me from playing a whole match.
Facers do in fact do that and that's why it's toxic. Players are not supposed to be taking control of a game, they are supposed to be playing it.

Where does it say that? Can you show me? Facecamping isn't the same thing as bodyblocking, by the way. Bodyblocking is when a Survivor (or Killer) traps another Survivor in a position where they cannot escape from and they refuse to either down them or move. Hook camping is not even close to the same thing. You are extremely biased.
Yeah, if you vault too much, it gets blocked to prevent infinites.
How experienced are you in the game? No judgement or anything, just curious.
It is STILL taking control of another person's game and you can find it in the report section in game.
Been watching it for a long time because my friends played and streamed it often. Only been playing for a couple months but if you're trying to imply I haven't seen enough to know it's a real problem then that would not be the case. Both experience and watching say it's clearly toxic because it's over used. They stopped survivors from vaulting for the same reason so why wouldn't they do the same for facers.

If the killer is camping, you shouldn't be rescuing at all. You're just feeding at that point, like going 1v5 in a MOBA.
Rescuing is apart of the game, dying because someone toxic wants to be a problem insead of an active player is not. It's taking advantage of the game and when survivors are blocked from vaulting if they do it too much then killers surely can not guard a hook and get penalized in a similar way if they do.

Why is it toxic? Who defined it as such? I certainly didn't.
I've had 5 gens done in under 5 minutes. Does that count? I can give you a play-by-play of that match if you like.
The game isn't balanced around those types of players though. They are exceedingly rare. Just like actual facecampers.
The game did. Literally defines the behaviour as body blocking then in the fine print killers are allowed. That's toxic because of how much people use it and still devs ignore that it's a real problem for people who just wanna play a public match.
Also taking advantage of game mechanics but again killers get a pass which they should get penalized for if survivors do. At least on the facing which again, is the most interruptive and keeps one person from gaming but if we vault too much it'll get blocked. Same thing only killers don't get stopped from doing the same type of toxic as that.

How did that survivor end up on the hook, though? Did they not play up until the point of failure? Isn't that how literally every game works?
Are you really going to act like killers don't have perks that make people easy to find right at the start if they are close enough, lying here is pointless because I use ine so know they work. How else would they be knocking people down so fast at the start? Lol you can't talk your way out of toxic behaviour when body blocking is body blocking. It is still taking advantage of game mechanics to keep a player from gaming and shoukd be treated as such with a penalty. Stay mad when there are a ton of other ways to get rid of survivors without controlling one person's whole game.

never said to unhook. preaching to choir here. we're generally forced to use certain perks from poor design choices. best punishment right now is fly through gens. 1 per gen is currently best way.
Ah yes well in online matches it's a little hard to do wheb someone is hooked and you gotta save them because no one else is getting off a gen.

You need to quote me if you want me to respond, just a heads-up.
How is it toxic?
Idk why it didn't quote like the last three people I talked to.
Because it prevents gameplay of a player, that makes the action toxic and taking advantage of game mechanics. Never had gens pop so fast that a killer didn't get to play.

Ok this is a bit hard to read so I might be wrong. So what your saying is a hag (Lady with triangle trap that spawns her phantoms) beat your team and tunneled? If so then that means you had a very uncoordinated team including you. Granted your playing by yourself and not with friends so it makes sense especially if your new. That's kinda Hag's thing being a pub stomper.
As for the tunneling: If the killer is tunneling there are multiple things to counter them.
Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Doing gens efficiently, and running the killer for a long time. Tunneling is effective but it becomes significantly weaker at high level.
The fact that it happens every game probably means your at the lower MMR or at the higher MMR. Your most likely at the lower MMR cause High MMR is literally just Blight, Nurse, and Spirit.
Side Note: The offering that makes hooks further apart does almost nothing on most maps,
Side Side Note: You have We'll Make It (The quick heal unhook perk) but you sabotaged the hook first?
Yes to Hag and a little bit of the randos n strangers not being able to communicate and causing bad maneuvering.
She found me and her obsession right away while we was working on a gen and faced them on the hook when she caught them. I had killed a totem so she didn't see me right away but I was right next to the gen too. Didn't even hear a heartbeat but that was prolly tunnel vision on my part. I sabotaged the hook she was heading to because I was hoping to head her off then ran away. She went to next closest one and I never was able to get them off the hook because of the traps AND the facing combined.
Killer chased me for a hot minute beforr giving up and fair. She found my teammates trying to next fix gen and I sabotaged hook when she went towards them when i realized she wasn't coming for me when I vaulted and stayed on the hooked person (had the perk that let me see the kikler when they took someone so I know when they aren't moving). I went to unhook one she caught, injured from last encounter. Get knocked down this time and so does team mate I just saved because the killer was just standing ther slapping again. I'm hooked now and try to get off, using up all my slippery meat and fail all because the one teammate is still working on gen, pops it and runs our way. Killer facing me and using traps again like with first one who died. In comes only standing teammate and yes this was bad maneuvering, grabs me but killer hits me because i rub right into one of thos traps and INTO A CORNER XD and that's death hook so she chases other person. Gets them while they are trying to heal downed person very close by.
I would of preferred tunneling tbh, I agree there are ways around it. It's hard but not enough to where you feel you didn't get to play.
The offering information makes me big sad and explains A LOT -.-
And tbh you're right it almost never happens with friends but they are ALL veteran players so makes sense. Also getting randos to heal you even if you healed them is hard because they want to hop on the gen instead of help you keep running interference with a healing.
And yes, sabotaging the hook makes it so I don't have to take a hit for them if the person on the killers shoulder escapes. They are randos and i am tryna live too lol If they hook them them I can still unhook quick but can't do the heal part if they standing right there. Not that it matters apparently the hooks don't change distance -.-

split up do 3 gens while one bleeds on hook then go sneaky sneaky hide mode until safe to do more gens
That would work if I wasnt getting facers, can't sneak up on them. They should get penalized.

NEVER played a match where that played out so trying that flimsy reasoning when toxic is way worse and ALSO prevents gameplay is reaching hard.
I have tons of perks that allow me to see survivors when gens get finished and have planned accordingly around stairs or buildings because my aim is trash. So unless you're admitting it's the only way for you to win then I'm not understanding your point.

You state it gives them an edge, meaning you are just being entitled. Face camping isn't even that good, if I would do it in my killer games I would lose. Survivors that are good can deal with a face camper as a team, Bubba is the most difficult to face and makes it nearly impossible... yet some teams can pull it off.
80% of the time you get face camped, seems unlikely and if it is true most definitely is due to your own abilities. I am nowhere near a good survivor while I get face camped at times the majority of games it either costs them the game or my team can save me.
If you are trading are you doing this at the start or do you use the time on the hook do also do gens? To me it sounds like you are hook bombing and expect the killer to not defend it. Flash lights, Sabo kits... all showcase that you are hovering around the hook, giving them zero reasons to leave. You are the reason it gives them an edge, you are the one that makes the tactic work...
Sorry, but the killer isn't supposed to throw the game for your benefit. They aren't there to make your game enjoyable, they are there to try and win. They can use any tactic they choose and face camping only works if the survivors let it.
You support toxic, game breaking, and people not being allowed to play on the off chance that your opinion changes our insane experiences I've also been having with facers. It doesn't change that it has happened often and it has cost the fun of the game because of perks and traps.
It's not entitled or naive to point out that it's broken and prevents gameplay of one player. Basic of basic, players should be able to play and denying it just shows how badly you want to do it. If you don't then why are you here?
Already said camping and tunneling is strategy sometimes that the killer has to do so your only issue is me calling out behaviour that is against the rules but for whatever reason is not penalized in killers. That should change.
You want to talk entitled then act the very definition of it my friend, do better.
