I do feel like the new windows are safer.
Though that may be thanks to the better vaulting.

Try doing this, kill 1 asap, play with the rest, and try to finish before the last gen is done, that is how I did it and send yourself to a good map for X killer
I usually don't like to tunnel unless the Survivor keeps running into me, I'll try though but I hope they don't see me as the arsehole during the match ^^;
I'm usually good at any map, it's just the fact that I have to get 4 Iridescent Emblems that is rather annoying.
-
White Ranks (Rank 20-16) has absolutely no matchmaking.
This will be fixed when MMR is fully implemented.
-
I just wish my teammates does bones, but not the ones that are in the freaking open so we can see if the Killer has NOED or not and cleanse it quickly.
Honestly that's why NOED can be an issue, especially on Solo Queue. People have different priorities, people have different strategies, and it doesn't really mesh well because by then you're not playing as a team, but 4 individuals who happens to benefit from each other if they do well.
-
I feel like I keep repeating myself.
White Ranks has no matchmaking. They will be matched with every rank in the game.
-
Then don't bring a mori if you don't find it challenging.
-
Wish I get to see as much Spirits as you, bud :(
-
Been really enjoying this update.
I saw a couple of bugs but nothing that made me stop playing.

Sorry, but coding really isn't that hard once the game is made. The have the code already, now they can literally change numbers already in the code to fix things. Map changes are drag and drop matters since they already have the assets. The dev's are incompetent because they havent changed or fixed problems in the 4 years this games been around. They are really lucky the game has been alive for that long, maybe they should appreciate that instead of removing events and adding battle passes.
Ehhhh, creating new assets as well as fixing bugs in a spaghetti coded mess doesn't sound that easy to me there.

I'm still a little lost by DBD terminology, what does it mean to "Slug"? Also I thought the reason killers try to get a 4k is because that's the point. I don't really play DBD competitively, I play for fun.
To slug is to keep someone in a Dying state and not pick them up in favour of chasing someone else.
-
Honestly I noticed the games I have as Killer that are the easiest are the ones when there is no Obsession on the map.
Same with the hardest games for me as a Survivor (When I don't bring Object on rare occassions)
The Obsession really does give added pressure on the Killer because it tends to make them think more carefully on what they have to do with them.
Either picking them up immediately after they are unhooked, choose on whether or not to grab the person that jumped into a locker, maybe risk not hitting them to preserve STBFL stacks, etc etc.
-
Sadly your words will fall on deaf ears. Even my brother is telling me the devs are incompetent, it's honestly pretty disappointing.
DBD is still a fun game, it functions and despite the bugs and the spaghetti code the devs still manage to create a fun experience for both sides, so the least we can do is thank them for that and not be too hard on them when they're trying to fix bugs in this game in particular.

You can't say that a 2k is the intended balance while preventing pips if the Killer gets a 2k. You can have one or the other, not both.
Uhhhh...
That IS the intended balance.
A 2k is a tie. So the killer safety pipped. Because it ended with a tie. Neither side won that game.

After a 30 minute wait I loaded into a game with no hud. No perks, no action prompts. Invisible spine chill, awesome...
Imma be a Redditor and say r/thatHappened

That doesn't feel like a very positive collection, I'd prefer to steer away from other's people salt or trying to derive pleasure from it.
I just find it funny some people take this game that seriously to get that mad at it.

An earlier match. My matches range from this to some red and purples, to even browns and yellows when somebody is in a swf.
Chat was just for salty flavor, if you need the iodine in your diet.
My last match was rank 5 - 6, so not 'as' bad.
Congrats on the 4k, tryhard ;)
Wish I got more chats like that, mainly because it's always nice to grow a collection of salty post game chats.
-
Please tell me you at least go for the save when the Hooked survivor has Kindered and no one is nearby but you.
-
No and No.
Flashlight saves requires the Survivor to be skilled enough and time their saves correctly, otherwise it's a wasted item on the Survivor.
And NOED forces the Killer to play with 3 perks the whole game, it also forces Survivors to have a Do Bones mindset. Little tip though, don't do bones that are in obvious spots. Keep those spots open. Totems that are in open areas or near generators for example. But do do bones that are tucked away in the corner spots that are hard to see.
-
I'm actually using the Nebula perk collection, I'm using the Happy Clown's coloured icons version.
-
Dead Hard.
Dead Hard has saved my bacon a lot of times after switching over from a Spine Chill Playstyle to an Object of Obsession Playstyle.
I wouldn't be able to live without Dead Hard, I sometimes even tap E on instinct if I'm playing with another build that doesn't include Dead Hard.
-
I've just started playing him today and I honestly didn't notice anything wrong with his Shred, though I will say I feel like I'm missing hits that I should be hitting but I'd rather blame that on lag because my games as him were being very laggy today.
-
Actually according to BHVR, that is the emblem system working correctly.
Two Survivors died while the other two escaped, and you got a safety pip as a result.
The match ended with a tie meaning you faced Survivors who were of equal skill to you as a killer.
Of course, not like Rank is going to mean anything anymore once the MMR system is introduced. I suggest just not worrying about pipping and try to have fun ^^ Because worrying about getting a pip tend to make you play worse because you feel like you have to satisfy the requirements to pip.
-
I've personally been getting games from either side of the spectrum, no middle ground.
Either it's completely easy, or really really difficult. Meaning either potatoes or an actual SWF team with a really good runner.
-
Rin!
Though I wonder how they will attach her cut up arms.
-
I'm experiencing the opposite as a Rank 1 Survivor. Literally every killer was running NOED. And I mean LITERALLY EVERY KILLER. Not even exagurrating, not even being hyperbolic, every single killer I faced today had NOED.
I'm just as confused as you are, but for the other side.
-
In recent days, like around 50-60% of my games.
Kinda hard to escape when you get tunneled for using Object, ngl ^^;
-
I was honestly expecting a positive post, was still pleasantly surprised though :)

@Mikeasaurus said:
I've destroyed a full Rank 1 team as Rank 11. Rank means nothing when they play like terrified kittens. Seriously, Rank 1's HIDING in corners of the map terrified to unhook anyone. I mean, really? The only Red Ranks that are actually good are the SWF teams, and the reason for that is pretty obvious. Other than that, most high rank solos play like yellow ranks.
That's because most survivors that are good rather play with teammates that are equally as good.
Which is why there is a noticable gap between Solo and SWF Players, and why Solo players often get mistaken for SWF if they ALL are good.

Yeah, I miss PS4 chats. Some absolute gem conversations and they’re saved.
I’ve also been reprimanded by Playstation... I don’t miss that.
You can still get gems in PC, I have a thread of it saved but it has the names of the Survivors on it so I'm pretty sure if I post it here it will get me bannerino ^^;;;

I honestly second this, it would also help reduce the BP grind a whole heck of a lot.

Why are you in the forums again? If you dislike DBD so much you shouldn't be here, there's literally better things you can do with your time in quarantine. Destructive criticism and encouraging people to quit the game is just unhealthy and actually toxic behaviour.

Wasn't he the guy that complained this patch has "deadzones"?

@SweetPrecious the long survivor queue times beg to differ.. the wait times have been increasing like crazy over the past few months for survivors, why? Because playing killer sucks.
So what did they do to make killer more attractive? They balanced the maps.. because guess what? No Killers = No Game
The thing about long queue times is just freaking true right now.
I cannot get into games without waiting 10 minutes and there is a good chance the Killer DCs anyways (I run Object on solo)

Thanks for letting me know! I almost claimed one of the master challenges there.

Let's backtrack history. Nurse was nerfed heavily, Spirit was heavily nerfed, Freddy got his add-ons nerfed, and Ruin was majorly nerfed, and a couple of other things I'm forgetting. Killers got the ######### end of the stick for a solid 4 or 5 months straight, with the only compensation being the passive removed from Balanced Landing. Meanwhile toolboxes, SWFs, and Prove Thyself genrushing builds remained untouched. Meanwhile, Legion, Clown, and Demogorgon still SUCK and are extremely weak. Since then, things have slowly started to level back out and that suddenly means killer is easy and not as skill based? PLEASE HOMIE. PLEASE. Maybe you're just not as skilled at survivor as you thought?
I played a lot of survivor last night and I did just fine. Because I never relied on god windows to begin with. I also identify dead zones PRIOR to being chased and know to avoid those areas while I'm looping a killer.
The game is currently in the healthiest state it's ever been in, and people need to just learn to not rely on crutches like god loops and OP perks, just like killers were told to stop being "baby killers" crutching on Ruin.
Maybe you're just not as skilled at survivor as you thought?
Honestly, that is what I tend to think about when people complain about stuff like DS and NoeD.

Thanks for the answer mate, so is it better for me to do the Gens and the healing together with someone else or doing them on my own? thoose cooperative points go towards Lightbringer?
I don't think there are cooperative points that goes into Lightbringer.
But you still get the same amount of points whether or not you work together on a generator or work together to heal someone.

Hello, i've started playing 2weeks ago and i managed to get to Rank-3 quite easly, but now iam struggling between 3-4Ranks. I would like some help with the Emblems and the Piping, i usually cooperate in 2-3 Gens, save 3-4 teammates from the hook, also i've "We will make it perk", so as soon as i unhook i heal them straight away for extra points and something i just get the black pip...
How many Gens it is required to get Iridescent Emblem? How many safe hooks? whats the best way to get Evader higher?
I'am thankfull for all the opinions!! =D
Usually it's 2 generators, but you also gain Lightbringer points if you are being chased by the killer while your teammates work on generators.
As for safe unhooks, it's best to get two as well as heal as many people as you can.
And the best way to gain high Evader is to try and make the chase "End" even if the killer is still chasing you. If you get the "Escaped" point event, then you're given points in that category.

No, but Anti Aliasing was one of the things that was listed in the configs. So they decided to just lock the whole thing down.

White ranks don't have matchmaking if that is what you're asking, and it will continue to not have it until MMR is introduced.

"800 BP max" - yeah.. throw in four stacks of WGLF, and bonus point offerings, and 800 goes a long way. That is the equivalent of 3/4ths of a generator - not to mention in the category that is the most difficult for survivors to score in.
Okay, but what about the (just guessing here but I'm sure it's true) 90% of players who don't run WGLF?
They'll just be wasting their time.

Hopefully...we can only wait and see.
I'm just going to put my cards down to "When it is ready", because I doubt matchmaking and hidden MMR systems are easy to create especially for a casual yet pseudo-competitive game like DBD.
-
Matchmaking is still not fixed yet and the devs have said they are working on it on a future patch, just not this one.

I mean, Freddy's bio is from a neutral narrator and explicitly describes how he was taken into The Entity's realm like everyone else, plus he somehow has people from the 70s like Laurie Strode running around with professional esports gamers, I don't believe Freddy's ego could ever take enough of a backseat for him to pretend he's not the guy running the show, and Survivors getting hurt in the dream world would hurt them in real life and thus kill them the first time they got hooked.
Though, this is a fun thought experiment, and hey, if you want to run with this further, maybe consider "Freddy" from Wes Craven's The New Nightmare, as I think there's maybe more potential in that creature or perhaps its "species" to accuse of being the secret orchestrator of Dead by Daylight.
That Freddy was literally called "Entity Freddy", so that does add more to the theory.

I don't understand the "unfair advantage" argument. I don't know, maybe create AA settings for everyone so anyone could turn it off? This game has the most dog @#$% anti-aliasing I've ever seen. If I wanted to see a blurry image I would take out my contact lenses.
Not my video, but saw this posted elsewhere in the forums. But this is basically what they don't want you to do.

Winning game can always end up like that . But what about losing? If killer dont prolong the game its hard to pip. Its easy to pip as survivor and lose the game ie its easy to going for pip but not going for winning the game. Also you win chase only if you escape chase without getting hit. That kinda force you to waste pallets.
Actually you tend to "Escape" a lot more than you think. You just need to make sure you don't hear the chase music anymore and it counts as an escape. You don't even need to waste a lot of pallets to do that. Stunning the killer, having them break it and running into the next loop tends to "End" the chase before another one starts.
-
I'd rather be chased to be honest, Stealth is fine but I consider players who only plays stealth to be a detriment to the team.
-
"I lose out on Struggle BP"
Mate, Struggle BP gives you only 800 BP max. I'm pretty sure it's worth your time to just get over it and get to the next game. Same with breaking stuff and closing the hatch. They barely give you anything.

Usually even when that works about a couple seconds later they're down anyway. Also I've had people try to dead hard away from my shooting as deathslinger
It has worked sometimes for me as a Survivor because I use Dead Hard in all my builds, it's especially useful for getting out of the basement when the killer is nearby
-
@magicmaster2020 said:
I've had some one use it and accidentally run into me instead of away. I felt bad
Typically when Survivors do that, they are trying to bait you to swing a hit so they'll miss and allow them to go for a loop that's behind you.

But first and third emblem may not be easy to earn points towards as they are dependant on your team as well. You obviosly won that game .
Actually I earned that Benevolence quite easily without needing to unhook anyone. Just healed a couple of people and did some protection hits. Maybe they tweaked it in this patch and didn't mention it, but of course until there is confirmation I'm just speculating.
As for the Lightbringer emblem, you gain them by allowing Survivors to work on generators while the killer is chasing you. So if you can keep the killer busy while gens are popping, it should be easy to get the Iridescent Emblem. Other than that, doing Dull Totems and Exit Gates also adds to the emblem. Though the most points you get towards this emblem comes from just repairing generators, so be sure to remember to do 1 or 2 gens to completion to get it.
