you probably slugged and tunneled, so your opinion is invaild
Ah yes, I tunneled because someone did an unsafe unhook in front of me without Borrowed Time.
I slugged because I literally saw another survivor the moment I downed the survivor I was chasing.
I'm soooooooo toxic, guess my opinion is invalid.
You want to know what an actually slugging game is like? It looks like this:
This Deathslinger never hooked anyone until one person died from Bleedout (You can tell because everyone is almost dead from bleedout). Slugging because you saw someone else and decided to chase them to exert pressure on multiple survivors isn't toxic, it's just a smart play.

Wut-?
Are you talking about when you use stuff like Bond or...?

My personal suggestion is to start blocking off people who cannot and will not have a reasonable discussion with you. There is no talking to them. I have met some incredible people in this community who I consider great friends (namely @Fibijean and @GrootDude ), it's just that the rotten apples tend to spoil the whole bunch.

I wouldn't say relaxed, I honestly think this Forum has been a lot more hostile than before.
Sure the nerf threads have dissipated but the hostility seems to have risen through the roof.
Edit: to clarify because I realized what I said is rather vague, I think some people are taking this place far too seriously and have started creating threads just to actively target/antagonize certain groups of people). That's what I mean when I feel like the forums have become more hostile. It certainly feels like some people just want to call out other groups of people for playing a certain way or for opinions they may have.

A horrible connection (from my end or the server end).
I hate not being able to play the game.
This was my last game before I decided to take a break and make sure my internet is fine and okay first before playing the game again:
https://youtu.be/3DkahFUtz4sAnd no, prior to this it was not THIS bad. (As you can see in the top left, it was my connection that was lagging which is why I am trying to get it fixed.)

Nice.
One more point, I ran game tournaments for almost 10 years. I HEARD EVERY EXCUSE IN THE BOOK.
- The sun is in my eyes.
- It's too crowded in here.
- These TVs have input lag (CTR btw).
- I haven't eaten yet.
- My hands are cold.
- The rules are stupid.
- My controller is malfunctioning.
- They played super lame, anyone can do that.
- They got lucky.
- It's too late to play video games.
- I'm tired.
- You made me wait too long for my next game.
- You made me play 3 games in a row.
- That guy just abuses an exploit (eg. a legit game mechanic like pop shot in FPS or grab tech in fighters).
- The crowd wasn't on my side.
Literally every excuse. I don't buy any of it. YOU LOST. Very few players can admit they were the reason they lost, most (as in more than 95%) will say ANYTHING to soothe their ego so they didn't actually lose. DC'ing is just an extension of that.
As we would say in the Smash community "NO JOHNS".
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1296903#Comment_1296903
So what. Take the L and move on. DC'ing is just a cop out to soothe the ego. PERIOD. You can justify it all you want but that's what is happening at the end of the day, and that player is just going to find dumber and dumber excuses to quit every time.
I've literally never found someone who took this game as seriously as you, oh my god take a chill pill dude.
This game is not meant to be competitive by the devs, which is why they are lenient on the DC penalties for the first few times, they understand that people have legitimate and actual concerns they have to take care of.
If it is a competitive setting where Disconnecting has far harsher penalties than "Oh well, guess that game sucked", then yes I would agree, you would need to make sure everything is working correctly before playing the game.
But Dead by Daylight is barely even competitive, the only competitive aspect of it are the rankings, it's the people who make it competitive. I play competitively because I find it fun, which is why I dislike people who DC out of rage, but I understand that this game is not built around that concept.
Though you are entitled to your opinion, and I am not interested in continuing this discussion, feel free to reply to this if you want, but just know you are alone in this when it comes to people who DC over technical issues.

TAKE AN L.
That's all there is too it. People DC to avoid feeling like they lost.
If your wife has a heart attack that's an emergency and a legit reason to DC.
If you have lag or you're getting less than optimal framerate, sorry that's not a legit reason to DC.
You are defending people that don't want to lose. No other way to say it. They do it to ease their egos. Saying "well lag" or "muh performance" is a cop out honestly. ######### happens. Take an L.
There are multiple instances where people don't want to play against an AFKing Killer, or play with a Survivor that basically sabotages the team because they keep teleporting all over the place. No one here is saying that they didn't lose, they understand that they forfeit the game because they themselves are having technical issues.
Do you want to play against or with someone who legitimately CANNOT play the game bceause of stuff OUTSIDE their control?

Hag is neither add-on, nor map reliant. She is easier to use on certain maps (like all killers) but her skill ceiling is so high that really good Hag's can dominate even without perks or addons. It takes quite a bit of game knowledge and strategy with your traps, but it's definitely possible
I find myself relying on range add-ons because I keep finding myself outside the range of my traps, I know I am supposed to be territorial as Hag, wieve a web around generators and objectives like Hex Totems, but even then I still find myself getting really stretched out because of RNG Generator srpread.
-
Red Herring: Useful for doing pranks on others while you're snickering inside a locker.
Alert: Gain the ability to notice suspicious activity from others like knowing when they could possibly be lying or fooling you.
-
If you really want to have a tough game, I really suggest Hag.
Mainly because you are entirely dependent on your power. You're a 110% Killer with no way to increase your movement speed & no way to damage Survivors from afar. Not to mention you are entirely dependent on the map because a Hag without her traps is about as good as a Huntress without Hatchets, except she is even at more of a disadvantage due to how short she is.
Hag IS strong, but she can be rather add-on and Map Reliant since her range can taunt you because you cannot teleport to the other side of the map the moment Survivors trigger traps you've placed during the early game. Of course, this is assuming you're playing her entirely Perkless as well as Add-onless.
WIth Add-ons she isn't as much of a struggle to play, there's a reason Mint Rag is considered one of the most powerful add-ons in the entire game.

Still not a reason to DC. Go AFK or at least do your best. The only technical issue where it's acceptable to DC is if your PC/Xbox/PS is on fire.
Jeez man, do you have to be so extreme? Not everything is entirely good or entirely bad. Some people have reasons and the devs themselves said as long as it is a legitimate emergency, you won't get in trouble for DCing.
It's not like the machine in question is going to constantly be going on and off mid-match, if that is the case they shouldn't be playing the game in the first place.
The guy has technical issues, he then Disconnected as to not ruin the game for the people he is playing against. I prefer a Killer who DCs over a Killer who AFKs. I want to play the game, not be stuck in queue only to get into a game where I got nothing to do.
-
It's already something that happens most of the time when talking about Solo Queue.
Your teammates are more of a Killer than every single Killer in the cast could ever be whenever you play Solo Queue.
-
Dead Hard.... When it works properly.
Lithe and Sprint Burst kinda encourages me to abandon a loop and escape the Killer which is not what I want. Same with Balanced Landing.
I also don't particularly find much use for Head-On aside from Meme Builds.

Sorry not a valid excuse. Unless it's an actual emergency like your kid just cut their finger off, take the L. It sucks when ######### like that happens but it's not enough to validate a DC. Just do what you can, play out the match, and accept that you lost. It's cowardly to back out of a game like that.
Last game I played was a lagfest, my internet connection was the same internet connection I've been using for the past couple of months, so I wouldn't have known this would've happened, but I'm pretty sure the people I was playing against did not have a fun time.
Those are the only times I DC, when I ACTUALLY can't play the game and potentially ruin it for everyone. Currently trying to fix the issue right now and I haven't played a game since knowing my Internet could tank at any minute and ruin the game for everyone.
I accept that I lost that match, but do I want to stay in a game where everyone else is not having fun because I as a Killer is experiencing Connectivity issues? No, of course not, they're better off finding another match while I take a break from DBD and fix it for a while. That would be the same if that person's framerate is tanking. They would not be able to actually play the game.
I understand disliking people who DC when they get outplayed or outmatched, because that sort of feeling is understandable and frustrating. Some people just want to play the game, and DCers like that ruin it for everyone. I don't like it myself when people DC in my games, it takes away sacrifice points for me and it can potentially ruin the entire team. I had a Claudette DC on me because I hit het while flashlight blinded. She was your usual cocky Survivor type while I was going for an Adept, which is why I didn't give the other Survivors any mercy (Still working towards that Adept)
Some DCs are warranted, and those who have warranted reasons won't be complaining that they have 24 hours worth of matchmaking bans under their belt. People who actively DC are the ones complaining, and they should be the focus of your iire, not people who actually has valid reasons, no matter how small, to disconnect from the game.

You have a dodge list? Thats sad
To be fair, I would personally dodge players who love being toxic and sandbag ingame as Survivor.
There is a valid argument to having a ban list, PAYDAY 2 has it for a reason, but I don't think something like that would work when implemented into DBD. So it's more of a list you make yourself.

The most I will do is hook the Survivor next to the hatch and then close it in front of them. But that means I also downed them near the Hatch. I wouldn't bring them to a Hatch and then close it. That's just really cruel on my part and unnecessary.
But teasing them with escape they could've had if they just outplayed me one more time is always fun.

20 hours of Spirit, getting 4k's against red ranks with relative ease. Dont even have Stridor yet to make her even easier. Yes, she is broken. The hardest part is dealing with survivors going invisible while you do, but once you learn to ignore that and just go for sounds, which only takes 2-3 games at most, she's extremely easy.
You do know 20 Hours is a lot of time right?
You don't need 100+ Hours to consider yourself adept and getting used to a Killer. Because once you get used to ANY Killer, you will lget used to all of them with their basic mechanics. Even their power.
I play Clown and Pig for fun despite them being at the bottom of the pole and still get 4ks almost every game I play in Rank 1, does that make them broken? No, of course not.
Please stop peddling the false narrative that she is broken because she is "easy", she isn't. Once she got nerfed I saw a massive decrease in her use. So there's no way she is as easy as you think it is.

If nothing fits, then look for something else. You don't need to stick with the common suggestions and need to think for other possible Killers.
That's my take on the teaser and why it hints to The Creature from the Black Lagoon.
The 4's font takes the same shape a pair of legs does. The gold used throughout can hint towards the golden age of horror. The shapes of gold in the background can be air bubbles under water. Only 2 colors can be a hint to a black and white film, furthering hinting towards the golden age of horror. The pure blackness can be seen as water a night as well as be a hint to the name of "Black" Lagoon. The 4 itself going all the way to the bottom of the image could be Gillman's main goal in the film, to drag women to the bottom on the lagoon.
The teaser can even be seen as a picture from the film. Someone swimming in the dead of night, their legs below a black abyss. And someone, something, is waiting for the right moment to drag them down.
I can be stretching it in some places. But it all fits. Every little detail of the teaser fits in hinting towards Gillman! Can I be wrong? Yes, I can. But I don't think I am.
Here is the clincher for a lot of people:
"The Killer is an Iconic Genre-Defying Killer."
So of course people will assume it's one of the classic slashers, people will assume it's Pennywise, Jason, Xenomorph, even possibly the Deadites from Ash vs Evil Dead.
Because of that one line right there.
I think it's Candyman because while he isn't exactly genre-defying to a lot of people, his first movie was rather groundbreaking for a pre-Scream Horror movie.
-
To me, tunneling is ignoring every other Survivor in the match even if they are literally giving you free hits just to ruin the game for one other person.
Camping on the other hand is when a Killer refuses to leave the hook even though it's disadvantageous for him to do so.

They only seem rare because there are so many other green rarity things in the game that can appear on bloodwebs. I believe the way the bloodweb works is that there are a certain amount of nodes of each rarity that spawn on a bloodweb of a given level. The more items, add-ons, offerings, etc. in a certain rarity category exist, the less likely you are to get a particular one, and vice versa. That's why Iridescent Heads, for example, are so common compared to other ultra-rare add-ons, because aside from Ebony Moris they're the only ultra-rare that can appear on Huntress' bloodweb.
Honestly I wish the devs just gets rid of tiered Bloodpoint offerings for every category and create 100%/75%/50% to all categories for all of them by merging them all into one.

What they mean is that the killer is boring to play for them. How hard is it to understand? Not everyone likes and enjoys same things that you do.
I play both and like both, but some people don't.
Usually that complaint is followed up on how to change the Killer to not be "Boring" to go up against.
I think that is what he is trying to understand.
Why should people's subjective feelings over certain killers be a deciding factor in balancing them?

That was all we had for the 3rd year teaser and people figured out we was getting Ghostface by looking at the font used for the 3, the colors used throughout the image, and the materials/textures used for the font/background.
This year it is the same deal. We have to use the 4th year's image to figure out who the next Killer is. And ONLY that image.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1295885#Comment_1295885
It should be safe to ignore the skulls. There has been 3 skulls shown so far, and all 3 fit perfectly into DbD's tally mark logo. Im 99% certain that those was added after the fact to be a diversion. The original teaser didn't even have a skull and I think this is where it was first shown.
https://invisioncommunity.co.uk/dead-by-daylight-celebrates-4th-anniversary-with-new-chapter/
If the skulls was important to the new Killer. Why make a version of the teaser without the skulls? These devs have made several mistakes in coding the game, but they aren't so inept to have their original teaser be missing a skull if it was important.
Them being made of gold and oozing blackness can also be ignored. They already oozed in the tally mark logo so that is worthless as a teaser, but the gold is likely just an artistic flare to reflect the teaser having gold.
As for honey and it's golden color. I just don't see the teaser showing honey itself. The 4 has perfectly sharp edges and the gold in the background are in and out of focus. Honey itself is VERY thick/gooey and extremely sticky. No way in hell you can make the shape of that 4 with it and the background gold. It they was more blob like, yeah I can see it being honey. But not with it being that clean and in so small of parts. Pollen as well is s different shade of yellow to gold and is a powder. Maybe the background gold could be pollen, but not the 4 itself. And as for the 4 looking like a hook. Not seeing that either. Not with the horizontal line crossing so much over the vertical line. A hook shape would be to have the horizontal line stop before reaching the vertical line.
Candyman is possible. I just don't see it adding up. The details don't match well enough in my opinion.
I still think Candyman is the most possible candidate purely because of all the circumstantial evidence surrounding him, I just cannot see it being Jason because he is in legal hell, I cannot see it being Pennywise because his character conflicts with the Entity, unless he is a completely new Pennywise that is different to the ones we see in IT, not to mention Stephen King is very wary of his properties in the hands of other creators, I don't see it being Xenomorph, the teaser you showed me yourself is not reminiscent of anything from the Alien series, not to mention, unlike Demodoggy, the Xenomorph would look rather out of place in the rogues gallery of characters that DBD has, I also don't see it being Pinhead because nothing we have been shown points to it possibly being him, LeaksByDaylight possibly eluded to the fact it might be him but they aren't exactly the most reliable source of information given how much they've changed their stance for this killer alone.

The Demogorgon as incredibly sci-fi so that argument against Alien goes right out the window.
But it has more of a slasher aesthetic than the Xenomorph could ever justify.
So while the inclusion of the Demogorgon is indeed odd, it's still within the realms of Dead by Daylight since it's a collection of Slasher and Horror trope Killers.

As for pennywise they would have to dumb him down a lot to make him work.

My point is when they killed so much synergy and strong item/perks they ended up crippling who knows how many perks. Survivors could run with a offmeta half-build because it was more forgiving back then
Now that things are the way they are, that's not exactly possible. Its forced survivors to bring in all strong meta perks if they want to win, and that kills the game for me even as a Killer-main. There are so many fun and dynamic builds for survivors and killers and you'll never see the survivor side of it and with so many killers being entitled you'll rarely see killers do it. Even though they can now
I guess I can't say much myself because my builds usually consists of Dead Hard, Iron Will, Borrowed Time & Adrenaline. Or STBFL, Pop Goes the Weasel, BBQ & Chili and Sloppy Butcher.
You can certainly still play with meme builds, but you shouldn't be expected to really win with them since it will always be an uphill struggle. It makes no sense to try and use other perks other than the meta if you want to win. But if you want to just mess around and not care how the game ends (like my build of Head-On, Quick & Quiet, Iron Will and Decisive Strike), then that option is still available to you.
Just don't expect to have an easy time because everyone is competitive especially in high ranks.

That's the 2nd teaser. The first was exactly the same minus that skull. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th teasers you can see covering these forums in the banners and background.
This is more or less the same type of teaser we got for the 3rd year anniversary. But unlike last years event, people use that teaser to figure out it was Ghostface. This year I don't see much more than people pulling "facts" out their backsides while ignoring the teaser and hints within it.
To me that teaser says almost nothing about the potential Killers that could be added into the game other than the fact that it has Honey Coloured Gold and Black Ooze coming out of a Black Skull.
Unless you're implying the Black Ooze means a Xenomorph which wouldn't make sense, at least from what I recall, Xenomorph ooze is Green, not Black. Even then how would that explain the Honey Coloured Gold splattered all over the place?
I don't think it's Jason because those two colours and skull has never really been associated with him.
Same reason why I don't think it's Pennywise.
The only Killer that I can stretch it out for it to say something about is Candyman, but that is purely because there was a mural in the Candyman trailer that kinda looks like the one we see on the Forums right now with a Skull looking upwards, and again, the Honey Coloured Gold splatter all over the place.

The meta has become even more strict and forced for survivors then I've ever seen. For every good change like the Balanced Landing nerf there have been even more that have homogenized the survivor meta to the point I'm surprised anyone that players survivor has fun anymore
The lack of build diversity and off-meta groups have shrunk so hard that I see more No Mither memers then I do off-meta builds these days
Oh I do agree that the meta is strict, but they are the meta for a reason.
Especially when you get more competitive, you begin to feel like the meta is necessary because both sides want to bring the best.
And what's wrong about that? You will still see people with meme builds, but if you want to win you have to use the perks that are arguably the best of the best. Would I love to see Killers that use anything other than NOED? Of course. But do I care if they use NOED all the time? I don't.

Let's see... on one side of the equation you have Trapper who:
- Can... place traps
On the other side, you have Freddy who:
- Automatically puts survivors asleep, with very limited options to wake up
- Has the oblivious status effect at all times against sleeping survivors
- Has 10 puddles to slow survivors down and make them scream, or 10 fake pallets that can be placed an unlimited number of times
- The ability to teleport to any uncomplete generator
Tell me again there is nothing disparagingly wrong with this killer?
There is nothing wrong about Freddy.
The only thing I agree should be changed is the Passive Timer, but only the fact that it pauses or slows down if you are in a chase. Outside of it it's fine.
His oblivious effect isn't really much of an effect and more of a debuff for him, making him incredibly susceptible to Object of Obsession. Also if you are complaining about BT, don't freaking unhook in front of him, never in a million years do you want to do that, that's just horrible decision making on your part. Only unhook when it's safe to do so, and if the Killer is camping, just rush through gens and get to the next game, that's not the fault of the Killer, but the fault of the player.
10 Puddles that don't slow you down a lot, L & T walls are his Nightmare because they don't have pallets and you can still fast vault over a snare. I honestly think fake pallets are far more powerful purely because of the fact that you don't see it coming half of the time and you often forget which pallets are used.
Also the ability of notifying survivors in advance that he is coming to your location. Not to mention he has a global sound effect that notifies you that he is channeling a teleport.
And no, I'm not a Freddy main, I main Survivor, but unlike most of the Forum I prefer to face Killers that has a strong chase potential and force me to use every resource I can possibly have as well as sweat the whole game to escape.
-
I'm pretty certain it is just a coincidence, mainly because why would they make that offering available now rather than when the chapter is actually released? Having worked in a project and for it's PR before, I know the one thing you want to do is cram as much hype as you can for one day and then sustain it for the next couple of weeks.

@ad19970 said:
I totally agree that he has counterplay. Claiming he doesn't have counterplay is simply false. And you explained his counterplay perfectly.
But I'd say he has the same problem that Spirit has, and that's a complete lack of visual feedback. Which people often misjudge as having no counterplay at all.
Deathslinger's projectile has the same travel speed as a fully charged huntress hatchet. If you can predict where a huntress will throw her hatchet, you can dodge it. And since Deathslinger's harpoon has the same travel speed as huntress hatchets, you can do the same with him. That's the essence of mindgames in this game. Both sides try to predict the move of the enemy. Maybe the Deathslinger will predict a dodge by a survivor, and aim to where the survivor might dodge, but the survivor can also predict that and not dodge.
The difference between Huntress and Deathslinger is visual feedback. Huntress has to first wind up her hatchets, and that even makes a sound notification for survivors. They know when they need to try and predict your shot. It's the indication of when you have to engage in the power specific counterplay of huntress. And that's what Deathslinger lacks. He can shoot at any time, which means you are in danger any time he has line of sight of you, as you mentioned. Having to try to predict when and where he will be shooting at any time during which he has line of sight of you feels more like a guessing game than trying to predict his move. It's prediction without reaction. And whenever you don't have line of sight of Deathslinger, you also can't see him, which also means that you don't know when he'll pop out of some corner and immediately shoot you.
Theoretically, Deathslinger and Huntress have similar counterplay. In both cases you have to try and predict where and when they'll throw/shoot their projectile. The difference is that with Huntress, you know when you need to engage in this kind of counterplay, whereas against Deathslinger, you don't. Deathslinger's counterplay is prediction without any visual feedback to react to, which feels mainly like a guessing game, and nothing more. It's the same problem people have with Spirit, and what some people mistakingly claim as having no counterplay at all.
He definitely has counterplay, but personally I'm not so convinced that his design is actual good design. I haven't had too many problems going against him myself yet, but I can understand why some people have problems with him, and I do hope that future killers are designed to have more engaging counterplay for survivors.
Probably an unpopular opinion but I honestly prefer Killers like that.
Having to force you to read your opponent in the early game, mindgame and make them play predictably in the midgame, and try your hardest to escape in the endgame.
That's why I love facing Spirit above all other Killers, because she gives me more of a challenge than a Killer like Doctor or Clown ever could.

These nerfs have done nothing but exacerbate the issues in the game. BHVR has forced survivors to do nothing but generators for the best chance of escaping. Time wasted by searching boxes, looking for totems, and chasing can lose a match for them
The only thing the nerfs have done is incentivize and only incentivize doing gens. The past half year's worth of balancing has been a utter disaster
I wholeheartedly disagree that the past half a year of balancing has been a disaster, quite the opposite actually.
I am someone who plays 50/50, though I do sometimes prefer to play Survivor for the chases, and the balance has been relatively better than what it was ages ago. To deny that is just being willfully ignorant of the attempts the devs have made to create a more balanced game (which they have)
It's not as balanced as it should be right now, purely because the maps themselves present a real issue, but it is far better to play DBD right now than it was 1-2 years ago.

All unofficial sources. A tweet of a emoji or a random twitter follow is some of the weakest evidence I have ever seen. It is "something" but pure weak sauce.
Can you explain in any way why the teaser/s hints towards Candyman? Go ham with it if you want. I mean go WILD if you need to and cherry pick anything you want. But I want you to explain why the TEASER hints towards Candyman. Not a tweet, not an emoji, not some voice actor. I want you to use the teaser, the ONLY official hint we have been given, to explain why the next Killer is Candyman.
If you can, I would gladly read it and likely enjoy the theory crafting. But if you can't. Then odds are your theory can't hold water as well as a bucket made from a screen door.
Excuse me.
Teaser? I wasn't made aware there was actually a released Teaser yet.

Right now how it works is the moment you press Dead Hard, you have to communicate with the Server that you indeed used Dead Hard.
However, in the Killer's screen and in the server, he already hit you.
So how it works is this:
The Killer swings at you, you then react accordingly and use Dead Hard, however, according to the server and the Killer's Screen, you already got hit, so it registers that you got downed but since you already activated Dead Hard, the Server sends back to your client that you are "Exhausted" for using Dead Hard.
I assume when latency gets better, so will perks like Dead Hard.

Okay good lord, didn't know we have a Sawyer in the community.

I can't believe people can say the game isnt Survior sided... if survivors don't play horribly there's no way they can die.
I can't believe people can say the game isnt killer sided... if killers don't play horribly there's no way they can lose.
(The fact there are people that are going to be angry because I switched survivors to killers while being happy at the original version annoys me)
This freaking playerbase, the fact that such statements exist boggles my mind. Do any of you even play this game?
In a community like this where both sides can be toxic to one another and eventually close off both sides purely as a form of tribalism to protect their own self esteem and interests? Yes, those people do play the game. Just half of it.

Personally, it makes no sense for it to be anyone other than Candyman right now.
He popularized what I would call the "Bloody Mary" types of movies, where a character unleashes a great evil into their world unexpectedly because they didn't believe in an urban legend.
There would be no reason for BHVR staff to talk about bees and sweets other than to bait that it is indeed Candyman, and sure, it could possibly be actually a Red Herring, but that wouldn't explain why...
The Forum right now looks Black and Gold. Honey Coloured Gold at that. Not to mention the 4, at least to me, is reminiscent of Candyman's hook from the poster of the new movie.
And speaking of that, Candyman's new trailer just dropped, so it would make financial and marketable sense to promote his latest movie with his inclusion in Dead by Daylight.
There is too many circumstantial evidence that points at him that it's hard to ignore. I personally would want him over Pennywise or Xenomorph being a massive horror buff myself.
I personally don't want Pennywise *as is* because he conflicts with the lore of the Entity, and I wouldn't really get hyped over Xenomorph purely because I don't consider the Alien movies to really be a Slasher Horror. Demogorgon gets a pass because it at least has the Slasher Aesthetic with Stranger Things being set in the 80s, which is when most classic Slashers happened.
But this is basically the whole "Blyeth in Smash" nonsense for the DBD community, whoever it is, I just want them to make sense to exist in the world of Dead by Daylight.

Oni when he is rushing at you with his power. Nothing puts the fear of God into me like that guy, holy ######### he was done so well aesthetically.
Ngl I think his sound design is what sells it.
That roar and scream still gets me everytime. Same reason why I love Demogorgon's screech so much.

We still don’t know a lot from the Entity from DBD tbh. For all we know he probably farted out Pennywise.
And that's good writing. Keep the Mysterious Evil Entity a Mysterious Evil Entity that keeps us guessing and keeps us wanting to know more, but withhold that information and only give us bits of it.
If we were to find out that Pennywise was birthed out of the Entity, then we pretty much can scratch off a ton of possibilities on what she could be just based on what we know about Pennywise.
Making her relatively known rather than unknown. Which is bad for a horror game's lore which hinges on a Mysterious Evil Entity being a Mysterious Evil Entity.

Exactly, for all we know they were probably related the whole time.
Again, that's the sort of writing that I honestly just don't want to see anywhere close to any piece of media I consume. That's just lazy writing.
"TURNS OUT THEY ARE RELATED! WHAT A TWIST!"
Please don't turn The Entity into Kokichi Oma levels of bad writing.

also how is IT stronger than the entity? the entity can theoretically create a entire world and it forces things into submission. it travels through dimensions and could be older than penny wise since penny wise was created when his universe was created, that does not apply to other dimensions/universes.
I mean the entity has created endless torture and warps the world/itself and IT literally gets beat up by kids and as far as i can tell it wont fight the entity unless it can install fear into the entity which is laughable because the entity has caused some messed up ######### and probably doesn't even have emotions.
Maybe the fact that IT's rival is a being that created the universe? You have to be pretty powerful to have a rival like that.

I personally got this with the help of my friends, though I also helped a couple of other people get it as well by making sure everyone survives till the end of the game and then have everyone else escape via the hatch with the key I brought.

Trapper. Ghostface and Myers loses their shock value once I know I am facing them. But Trapper's SNAP always gets me everytime without fail.
