I was invited to play when DbD was free, by a friend, and I only distinctly remember killing myself on first hook because I thought I needed to unhook myself and didn’t know I needed to struggle in second phase.
My friend gave me a lot of lip about not being a team player and always giving up so early (that Sonofab...)

Good topic, I recently got all perks with 70+ cakes, but like you, can’t really find a build I like.
-
Puppet Master series. I don’t care which puppet. With 2 dozen films...it has plenty of lore, killers, and survivor options. Obvious problem is obvious but... its not like the killer can’t be the puppet master and his special ability is to call in the puppets who harass survivors in a variety of ways. I think it would be creepy.
-
Since nobody said it, it’s because of the new map. New chapter drops and devs make that map the go to option for awhile and OoO is broken as F on it so, why wouldn’t survivors take advantage? That’s my theory~
-
I’d like to stamp my foot in frustration. Right now all I can do is spin around crazily while looking up at the sky and then smacking the nearest thing to me. It gets my point across but also makes me dizzy.
-
I rather them categorize perks in groups and not allow perks from same group. Better then bp punish
-
Yes, Praise me more...heh heh heeeh.
-
I don’t watch or know the show well enough to judge or care. I’ll just be disappointed it’s not a franchise I personally care for and move on (like an adult). Much like when the introduced Stranger Things. I don’t resonate with that chapter at all, still didn’t try to shut it down or stop myself from buying and enjoying the chapter.
if this is ‘your FNAF’ then live your dream buddy. I hope they add this chapter one day~
-
121) Survivors having access to a perk that makes them virtually non-exsistent. Sound is kind of very important, kind of unfun when I know I’m standing next to you but so gotta waste time checking under every stone because you forgot how to breathe magically.

Wasn't it theorized that the banana splits movie used assets from, what would have been, the FNaF movie? I could be wrong, but I thought I heard about it somewhere.
Well, I brought it up because of the similarity but I don’t think so. My Blue Ray DVD had extra content and I see a lot of the behind the scenes info and none of it mentioned FNAF, nor was it related to animatronics in reality. Those guys were all dancers who in particular could pull off the ‘Robot’ dance very well and got stuffed in suits and asked to act for the first time in their life lol.
What really happened was a FNAF movie was talked about and a trailer dropped but then news broke (I think) that it was delayed or abandoned and suddenly this movie with many similarities dropped.
Probably just speculation?

their books are put in the children's section and book stores , it's meant for children.
Yeah? Apples can come pre cut and put in packaging with Micky Mouse....guess apples are now only meant 4 children...
Damn, Harry Potter was also in the children’s section. Hell, Disney is also marketed at children, and we made a damn adult theme park, what were we thinking.
Bendy, Hello Neighbor, FNAF...all got dark themes and horror like intensity but masked in a childlike manner and became the most popular with young people. Your point? How many other fandoms mostly targeted at kids that adults also enjoy and celebrate?
- Harry Potter
- Pokemon
- Transformers
- Pop Culture (Pops, those collectibles)
- TMNT
- Legend of Zelda
- Disney
and the list goes on and on. Not sure why you want purity police me on this one particular fandom but to say this something is only meant for kids is funny to me.
-
All I know is I’ve never seen the perk used again since they updated it. Part of me remembers the frustration of missing out on a down but part of me was also stimulated by never knowing when MoM might come in clutch and completely ruin me.
It really does need a revamp some how, I think it had potential to be another fun staple perk for survivors.
-
Chucky.
oh you mean in game? ITS STILL CHUCKY! Sorry, I role play as killer.

You should build a shrine to FNAF in your closet.
Sure, it won’t be anything like your Brony shrine but I’m willing to light a candle next to my one shirt.

I know what a green hat means, but I am also perplexed by this blue hat...

Yes, because it was marketed towards a younger audience...
Bro...marketed at young audience. You mean now? My adult sized Freddy Fazbear gear would disagree.
The guy who created the game was a Christian who tried to make wholesome games but when released, people gave his games poor reviews cause his characters seemed too childish and robotic, like an Animatronic. People said it was creepy. They mocked him and after a few tries he opted to scrap his other ideas and make a scary game. Thus, the magical storm brewed and FNAF was created.
Once released, it got some traction from streamers and the rest his history. If you wanna argue that the merchandise is marketed towards a younger audience more then adults, fine but that in no way means that this game was created with the purpose of drawing in a young crowd.
It was just the creation of an angry Christian tired of people fearing/mocking the characters he created and saying they belonged in a horror game~
-
People don’t like it because they consider the series childish based of the majority of the fan base. Apparently we’re just a bunch of boomers here who look down on new horror franchise.
Then reach out for any plausible excuse. If you don’t like FNAF, then fine, but saying it doesn’t fit puts a chill in my soul. So child murdering killers are out? You know that’s Freddys whole shtick? You think it’s too cute to be scary? Ya know we got silly costumes and the contrast of “cute” with murder is a huge scare that’s used all the time.
The series isn’t scary enough? So Ghostface, Myers, and Pig, three people in a mask (2 being a Halloween mask) are more terrifying then strengthened mechanical monster with a devils heart and some supernatural powers. Gotcha lol.
My only gripe with this FNAF stuff is everyone’s fixation of Springtrap. I get why people may not want one of the others based off the lore but I prefer somebody else personally.
Lastly, despite saying all this, I’m in the camp that doesn’t want FNAF in this game, but that’s not because of the usually mentioned reasons. I feel if the sound team finds the right sounds then I’d be too horrified to enjoy playing against a Animatronic. Sounds of metal scraping metal and tick tacking of gears moving has always given me the creeps.

Hate to hijack your thread but consider this a small bump.
Can you control which way your facing when you come out of his portal? I tried using him but I could never seem to come out facing the direction I was hoping for.
-
Now that I main Deathslinger, I feel your pain. Wish more perks could have a stronger affinity with mending. Like Sloppy Butcher or Nurses. Mending seems to be despised by survivors anyway, might as well change or update the mechanic.
-
For a certain period of time (in game, not in menu or real time) they should make your character have some kind of visual signifier that your a crybaby rage quitter. Whether that be a dunce hat or a lil fairy that whispers terrible things to you. I’ll leave that up to the devs~
-
None of you are seeing the real issue here. If they start labeling and putting everyone into boxes then it’s going to seriously effect my DbD Porn. It’s bad enough that gave everyone a skin color, so I can’t enjoy Asian Claudette or Black Bill but now you want to identify them gender and sexually!? The F-! Pretty soon they will stop putting a dick on every girl and only pair up people that fit into a lame ass back story.
I blame the alphabet people.
-
Yes, complete the dream I’ve given up on, are you winning son?
-
I hope when this does drop 3 years from now, someone returns here and says “THE FUTURE IS NOW!”

The Mafia series, Dragons Dogma, and I about ######### myself when I found out they are remaking Kingdom of Amular.

I know My younger self had my own internet cringe vocab, probably 1337 speak. I’m ready for the next annoying thing, this uwu stuff makes me gag.

As suggested, too many variables to ever ever ever get a “good gen speed”. Whatever you do to compensate for red rank skill/experience will crush the lower ranked survivors.
If anything, you should add a difficult but rewarding secondary objective. Then red ranks could challenge themselves while possibly profit and lower ranks could ignore it and concentrate on escaping.

Look at these two children. Try providing an explanation or don't say anything at all.
The mods on these forums are some of the most lenient I've seen.
How grown up to call other people children and so mature to ignore the topic and make an unnecessary jab.
He didn’t ask for feedback, he made a topic and expressed his opinion and so did we. Do I have to write a novel everywhere I go to appease his highness. Christ.
-
still no.
-
Well, I thought about different ideas, like a survivor failing a gen skill check could hide the aura for a short time. So in exchange for a small setback you could profit from evading killer patrol, but rng based perks are frowned on.
personally I’d say that if a survivor completed a gen and had this perk on, then the killer would be temporarily blind to all gen auras for a short time.
honestly this sounds like one of those perks that killer mains would scoff at and baby killers would be destroyed by but I don’t think it’s that game breaking.
Gens make noise, gens are tall and not terribly hard to spot. Also, finally a small counter to surveillance?
-
I only started playing for Freddy DLC when it dropped. I doubt I’m the only one who joined the game to enjoy playing as an iconic killer. I hope they never stop, it’s my favorite feature.
-
Yeah but what about that other mystery quote? I forgot who said it but it said nothing but “Do Bones.”
Its gotta mean something...

@Nos37 said:
I use Bond with my Better Together. If I see a survivor aura within 36m with Bond, I will gen-tap to make Better Together cause the gen aura (visible from 32m) to flash instead of stay solid
Ah, so survivors already have a new communication trick to ensure it’s a survivor and not a killer. Sad, another mind game opportunity denied through mechanical loopholes~
nice trick though, I’m a killer main but I like BT and I’ll remember the Bond synergy.
-
I dunno, it’s not like I have the bp to get this perk on every killer to experiment but If I could...
I always consider trials or torment a hard counter to better together and keep thinking of a build to really discourage survivors to work together on gens. So my build with trials would be (in theory).
Killer: Legion/Plague
- Trial of Torment
- Discordance
- Blood Echo
- (Legion: Nurses/Plague: BBQ)
So, in theory, Discordance goes off and you find multiple survivors so you use killer power to injure all or get all sick to eventually have all injured. When Plague, you down and hook survivor to nearest generator. BBQ gives info. If that gen nearest to hook has been worked on, you kick and activate trials, using the info you gathered you should go after the injured because now blood echo has them weak and exhausted. As Legion, I would drop BBQ has my info and opt to go Nurse, using Trials and nurse to scope out healing survivors and surprise them.
Hope you get inspired, personally I have that same ‘calling’ for Forced Penance. I feel many survivors take protection hits when I play DS but I can’t figure out a build for it yet.
-
My gut reaction is a shared account whenever I see stuff like this. Not an accusation btw.
Congrats.

Should buff so that u don’t let the pebble go until you let go of the button, so you can raise your fist menacing at the killer.
-
Good read, not gunna really judge it just enjoy it. Personally I’ve loved Scarecrow designs for years and collect all the scary movies associated with them (no matter how bad).
-
When I run Discordance and it stays active nearly all game. That’s a gen rush <_<
-
Dunno if it’s been said, but the survivor rule that says I need not hit the unhooked survivor UNLESS he runs at me like a crazed lunatic, because killers are suppose to pretend we don’t know you have Borrowed Time~

I'm not controlling a discussion, I'm saying its stupid to have that kind of discussion since if you are going to quit, why do you tell us that ? If you have a problem about balance, you shouldn't open it up by saying "I'm quitting". Just have the argument, thats okay.
Edit : Just having a break would be much better for your skill since you would think about your mistakes (I'm talking from experience here) and it would be helpful for your mental health.
Yeah great, you started a discussion and expressed your opinion and so did I. Hurray us. I only came back to make my stance clear to you since you decided that I just don’t read posts and must just post randomly, which was unfair to me.

What part of "If you think the game has a problem feel free to share that but don't pick the "I'm quiting" route, just tell your problem." didn't you understand, then ?
You also said “don't cry at the forums about how "killers/survivors are underpowered, its not fair" and how "you are going to quit the game and we should too".
Suggesting to instead not play the game if you cannot handle rage for your own mental health.
MY POST, was a response that you shouldn’t control or shut down a discussion because that’s how ‘you’ feel. Let them vent, maybe that ALSO would be good for their mental health.
I guess since you didn’t understand or comprehend what I was trying to say to you, next time I’ll just say “you didn’t read my post”.

I did read it.
-
So people like to vent and communicate with a community on a forum where we discuss every general idea/change/complaint about DbD. Sounds terrible, let’s just shut this place down, I don’t like seeing people share opinions, especially since this game is so old and obviously everyone started playing the same time I did so it’s all old discussions that have been talked to death~
-
Which smurf survivor do we get, I mean, which smurf best represents survivors? Pretentious?
-
You know Jeff has a perk you might be interested in, it’s called Distortion.
You get 3 tokens, when your aura would be shown to a killer it activates. For the next 6 seconds you leave no scratch marks and aura will not show.
If your going the stealth route and you feel like you can sacrifice a slot in your build, it might help you out. Assuming you stay out of site and no have other killer perks trigger aura reading perks, then when someone falls on a hook and it procs, you know for a fact they have BBQ and you can decide to save stacks by hiding in lockers or eat your tokens to stealthy finish gens.

Mate you're telling me you didn't vote for a second Saw chapter?

-
Well like others will point out, it’s high risk, high reward mentality. If you don’t like rolling the dice, then don’t.
Also you can make a Hex build because we do have Hex perks that protect each other and have synergy with each other. Personally I wish I wasn’t chained to BBQ n Chilli because a Hex build needs you to go ALL IN when you do it.
-
So much I wanna point out but others pretty much got it done. If I was to add anything more it’s that furries are already in the game and also, why is everyone focused on Springtrap? Probably the least scary too me, I’d be more terrified of Balloon boy, especially if he said “Hello?” every time you entered his terror radius.
